Grabbed a pizza here after a long day of skiing with my partner. Pizza price was not inflated and it was a good size.... Honestly it hit the spot after being in the cold for so long. Was pretty quick (maybe 15-20 mins)? Staff was friendly and nice and were able to accommodate a slight shift in our order due to allergies! The facility was pretty informal and warm. I was at Smugglers Notch for the weekend skiing with some friends and we were looking for a quick easy lunch in the village. We ended up coming 2 days in a row since it was convenient and we wanted to be in and out so we could get back to skiing!! We had a small wait both days, about 40 minutes, which wasn't terrible and honestly went by pretty quickly and gave us a chance to rest. The menu is super extensive and our service was pretty good the first day, and ok the second. I had a beer and then also tried their spiked hot chocolates which were really delicious!! I tried the cheese curds, Notch-os, Chicago-style dip, and the Shroom and Swiss burger. The cheese curds were FANTASTIC and the syrup it came with was interesting but really worked. The nachos were fine, but don't get the crispy chicken, they're just chicken tenders thrown on top. I couldn't stop RAVING about my Chicago-style dip, it was so warm and the meat was so tender. The burger was just ok, really greasy and not something I wanted to finish before going down the mountain again. I also tried their veggie of the day as my sides which was squash, zucchini, and broccoli and honestly they were seasoned well and gave me a break from the richer pub food I was otherwise eating. We were in Smuggs skiing for the weekend and this was one of the places in the village which made it super convenient for lunch on the days were skiing! Both times we came we had to wait some for a table (about 40 minutes) which wasn't terrible Service was alright! We tried some of their spiked hot chocolates which were honestly super delicious! For apps we tried the cheese curds and the nachos. I wouldn't waste your time with the nachos but the cheese curds were def worth it. We were staying at Smugg's and my wife injured her knee skiing, so we decided to stay on the resort for dinner. Most options were closed being Sunday night, so we ended up at Morse Mountain Grille. We were seated right away on a Sunday night at 6:30 as there were only about 10 other people in there. We placed our order of drinks, apps & entrees and sat watching the NFC Championship Game. When the wings arrived we were STARVING. We each took a wing and before we could even put them in our mouths our entrees arrived. The waitress apologized, but said someone must have jumped the gun. It only got worse when we took a bite of the wings and they were cold inside. They looked cooked as you can see from the picture and were warm on the outside, but they were COLD inside. We had to wait for the waitress to appear again before we could even send them back all along my chicken pot pie was sitting there not getting any warmer! The waitress apologized and brought the wings back to the kitchen and insisted on a re-fire even though we said don't worry about it. We ate the underwhelming Chicken Pot Pie (the meat was all dark and chewy) and Salad and then new wings came out ‍. New wings weren't bad, but were obviously frozen. My wife wanted dessert which is why she just got a salad. It was ok. This was our second time here as we had tried the breakfast buffet a year before which was gross with powdered eggs. We should have learned our lesson then, but we were stuck because of the injury. read more

We arrived Friday at 4 and wanted choices so this fit the bill. I should have checked yelp. I ordered the French dip, my husband the pot pie and my daughter the cheese pizza. Nothing was fresh, my husband sent his pot pie back, it was cold in the middle. My French dip was tasteless, the beef jus was just brown oily water. It had 0 taste. The pizza wasn't run in so it didn't come with our food. When it did arrive it was burned on the edges and cold in the middle. Our waitress never came back to check on us. I didn't eat, my daughter ate some pizza and my husband had a bite. We hadn't eaten all day. We all got up to leave and I had to ask her for the check. I told her my dinner was horrible and she ignored me and walked away. Needless to say we won't be going back and I would recommend everyone steer clear. read more

Items we ordered: New England Clam Chowder Maple Ale Glazed Wings Smoke House Flat Bread - with pulled pork, Cabot cheese, BBQ sauce Grilled Cheese Platter (with tomato soup) Mac & Cheese with Pulled Pork To be fair I have to point out that my 14 year old was really a fan of the food here. He especially loved the Clam Chowder and really enjoyed the Mac & Cheese with Pulled Pork, which was a huge portion. Husband, 12 year old, and I shared the other items and I was not impressed. The wings were not crisp. Their sauce was straight sweetness without a hint of heat or complexity. The Flatbread itself tasted store bought and the toppings were unappealing. I think I could make better grilled cheese at my house. The only item I enjoyed was the side of tomato soup that came with the grilled cheese. It was thick and hearty with a bit of heat. Service was excellent. We were here for a very late lunch and there was only one other table seated. The kids might enjoy this place but I would not recommend it for adults at all. They had kids menu for $10.95 which included beverage (juice/milk/lemonade/ice tea), a starter (apple sauce/mandrin orange/...), entree (burger/chicken tenders/pasta/mac n cheese), one side (carrots/salad/fries/curly fries), and desert (chocolate cupcake/ice cream sandwich.. Can Upgrade to a sundae). Between the 4 adults, we ordered Steak frites, curry salmon, nacho, and fish n chips. We weren't expecting much but the food was actually pretty good. The steak frites were tender and cooked medium rare to perfection. The fish n chips were crispy and big portion.... The fries were a bite soft, I prefer crispier fries. The salmon curry was delicious. The kids loved the food and entertainment. They can be loud and no one cares. It was great! The pirates & mogul mouse visit each table, sing and tell jokes. The worst meal I've had in a long time. So disappointed - why not actually have GOOD food at a mountain resort?! Ugh. I thought I was safe with a salad topped with salmon. The salmon was super fishy and off tasting. The salad had way too many nuts and cranberries and no actual salad. The waiter was clueless, slow, inattentive. He couldn't answer a single question. Husband asked for another beer, never brought it. It wasn't even busy. Kids meals were garbage. Mac and cheese tasted like orange water. Super pricey too for a bunch of crap food. Stopped in for breakfast after checking out of our condo. After being seated it took about 20minutes before anyone took our order. My wife daughter and I got the mountain breakfast for $10 each. Comes with two caged free eggs two sausages or bacon home fries and two pancakes. First off my scrambled eggs resembled the eggs you get from McDonald's that come out of a carton. My daughters sunny side up eggs were cold. The bacon and sausage was ok at best. The pancakes were dry and a grainy texture to them worst pancakes I have ever had. The maple syrup tasted like something bought at the dollar store definitely not pure Vermont maple syrup. The home fries had no seasoning barely cooked. Never got asked if we wanted refills for coffee. Won't ever risk going to Morse mountain grill again no matter what. read more

We were then told that they were out of pretzels. The buffalo wings were actually pretty good. We finally placed our order and were then told that they were out of the turkey wrap and steaks. After we placed a new order another server came over with our waitress to tell us that they now have steaks. One said their computer system was wrong and the other said that they went and got some...who knows from where?? When the entrees came, all the sides were mixed up. The burgers were decent and so were the ribs. The kids pizzas are terrible. They were the type that all the cheese falls off when you pickup a slice. I have dined at the Morse Mountain Grill more times than I care to remember. Simply out of desperation. Dining options are very limited at Smuggs in the winter if you choose to stay in the resort. The food seems like institutional prepackaged Sysco fare. Similar to what one would expect in a hospital or on a college campus. It's tolerable but you will never leave saying "that was great". My recommendation is to stick with basic fare like sandwiches, burgers and fries. The service is typically slow even when it's not busy. The Hearth and Candle is a much better choice when dining in the resort but it's a bit on the pricey side. read more

We could scoop huge chunks of sugar sitting at the bottom of the mug. Gotta say that the garlic bread appetizer was very very tasty! Unfortunately that was the only dish that was good. Firecracker shrimp was soaked in salty Asian flavored water, which I guess I can get a bottle of sauce from the supermarket and make it better myself. The vegan ravioli was okay, but not worth it. Service is good here. Overall the bill came out to be almost $100. Trust me, you can get a cheaper yet way more delicious food from the town (around 15 minutes drive). read more

However, the Sycamore salad and Turkey burger were fantastic. The poppy seed maple salad dressing was our favorite dressing we had in a week of Vermont travels. Decent Food, unpredictable service We ate here twice over the course of a long weekend at Smuggler's Notch. The food was good but the service is unpredictable. One night Nash was our server and the food arrived hot and we were taken care of VERY well. One of our party has a Gluten Allergy and Nash made a big deal to ensure his food was prepared appropriately. It was even delivered separately. The other time (Lunch) our waitress was almost nonexistent. I got so frustrated waiting for my hamburger, that I left my wife at the table and went back to skiing without eating. Steak ordered medium served cold and raw with icy mashed potatoes and green beans, they took it back twice, it was still freezing and raw the second time out. Third time out was in a box.... I paid just under 30 for a meal belonged in the trash. They only took 10 dollars off the bill, the meal cost almost 30. The total bill cost 152.
