Great place to grab sushi or A bowl of New England Clam Chowder while you're waiting for your skiing party. Also recommend the poke bowls!

We were a few mins behind getting into a line in a small vestibule of other people who had reservations at the very same time. We were a bit stressed because they 'give away' your table after 15 mins of the reservation time. They seem to have a system of an employee bussing tables & filling water glasses. Then the server comes over for a total of 2 to 3 times to take the order, quickly ask how everything is then disappear for far too long to deliver the check. The food/beverages are served by another server or waitstaff as quickly as possible before you can ask for something else. It feels like a robotic set of motions, leaving you to believe you are a number. It is terribly expensive, I will admit this. However, my husband really loved his burger & the chicken salad (bountiful in the amount that it spilled out of the bun) was so good I want to make it myself. Their fries are perfectly seasoned. The Caesar salad was a bit 'out of the box' & had capers intermixed - gave a great amount of tang. I think aside from the anxiety / overwhelming process to check in for a reservation, it's an "OK" experience at the top of Mount Mansfield.

However, if you are patient you can walk up to the bar and order a drink to go on the patio which is what we did. We had delicious drinks and enjoyed our time checking out the foliage.

The poutine was very good, but I'll grant you that it's maybe hard to get that wrong - but their gravy is on point! Service was great - got there around 5:40pm on a Wednesday, so the wait was non-existent and a table for 5 was easy to accommodate. Duncan was the server, who disclosed that he was new but you wouldn't know it from how he took orders and brought food out. Even threw him a curve by asking for the steak frites with an additional side of brussel sprouts, which he handled no problem - even though there weren't any sides I saw on the menu. Steak was medium rare and perfectly seasoned, and I think I mentioned the chimichurri but it deserves additional mention. Maybe you're wondering about beverages. The maple lemonade is great - it leans harder on the tart side and there are sweeter options around (Cliff House) but I love a lemonade that tastes... lemony. Pineapple cherry punch was also a hit - but that's secondhand hearsay, unlike my direct opinion on the chimichurri - which I would drink if I could. Definitely check this place out. The table near ours seemed to immensely enjoy their meal and also get great service from Duncan.

They use the Yelp waitlist, but I couldn't join it until we showed up to the restaurant, which was a little confusing. We ended up sitting at the counter by the wood fire, which was neat to watch. Our server (Jenn) was awesome. My drink was very pricy ($18), but it was pretty tasty. Everything was absolutely delicious - we got a Mac & cheese and 2 burgers with fries. I love that it's all farm-to-table. Would absolutely eat here again and *highly* recommend it.

Every bit of food was prepared just right. We did eat a pineapple salad that was so fresh and crisp and not overly dressed, which was on the Specials menu. I also ate the Halibut for my main course, which was also on the Specials menu. This was nicely done as well. My wife ate the pork tenderloin, from the regular menu, and it was delicious. The coup de grâce was the dessert. The ice cream of the day, which was an maple gingersnap flavor was outstanding, and carrot cake was hands down the best I have had in my life! The service was good, fast and efficient. If you are looking for a very good, but not inexpensive meal, we would absolutely recommend Harrison's.

Con - none of the 4 of us even liked our meals - they were inedible. We descended the narrow steep staircase into the dark dining room; outdoor seating was not open. The waitress promptly brought us menus and waters. There was a good variety of wines and we settled on the Sancerre. Charging for bread is not a good trend so $10 for 4 Parker House Rolls was disappointing. We also ordered the mussels and asiago fries. The chef seems to favor creamy white wine sauces - the added cream adds a heavy taste without adding flavor. The shrimp & sausage on mushroom ravioli had the cream sauce and cubes of sausage. The pasta primavera also had the cream sauce. It was super bland. We added chicken (see the photo of the chicken breast added to the top side of the dish not cooked in the dish). The salmon and its corresponding carrots were spiced with bebere which is very mild but not particularly enjoyable. And finally, the grilled rib-eye was bad, really bad. It was gelatinous and the worst steak we've ever had. I've only ever seen a steak cooked like this when it's cooked at too low a heat. We fed the leftover steak, chicken, and salmon to the dog.

The zucchini fritters tasted so close to my grandmother's that right there and then, they had my heart (and my stomach). We had to wait a while for our main courses and the restaurant started to clear out. We were getting worried about time as we wanted dessert too but didn't want to be those people keeping staff there. The waitress came over and apologized about the wait and said they'd be taking care of our entrees! That's the way you do it. Before we could even complain or say anything they recognized the issue and made it right on the spot. The entrees were well worth the wait as was the dessert. Very impressed!

This place is a gem. We came once like 10 years ago and did their tasting menu which blew us away but this time we just opted for dinner and it still didn't disappoint. They really have a creative way to prepare and present food while using local ingredients and seasons ingredients. The vegan crab cakes stole the show for me. So much so we ordered two! I love the interior and the service is always top notch.

It came out medium. When I told the waiter they shrugged and asked if I wanted it cooked more. They also served broccoli that was significantly undercooked on the same plate.... an absolute waste of $52. If you're considering staying at Spruce Peak due to the dining/dining credits, don't. The service for valet + dining is not good.
