Happy hour Steak and Mushrooms. 2026-04-17.
    Paul H.

Very good food, very good service, in a nice setting on Nimitz highway. Been here a couple mid times for happy hour, which used to be much busier but lately it's not as busy. Maybe cause the economy is in a downturn. Highly recommend coming here for happy hour for the good prices on their happy hour menu and still getting their service, etc. We will be back.

Came here for a spontaneous happy hour date night with my partner, and it ended up being such a great choice. The vibe was relaxed and perfect for unwinding after a long day. What really stood out, though, were the prices. It's not easy to find a spot that delivers both quality and value, but this place nailed it. The total came out to about $60 subtotal for everything, which honestly we felt was pretty worth it. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a low-key date night spot that doesn't break the bank. Honestly would probably come back for the deals alone.

My wife ordered the Filet Mignon medium rare, was a little rare in the middle. But the plate was so hot it was able to continue to cook it.

Overall great dinner, really cool atmosphere, and great service. My wife and I ordered the 8oz Filet Mignon, 16oz Rib Eye, Smoked salmon spread, Bacon Mac & cheese, and Mashed potato's. The total was $156 including tax. Was well worth it, everything tasted amazing, the only critique which is more of an opinion, is the smoked salmon spread was VERY garlicky (the bread it was on). The Rib Eye was cooked perfectly, had just the right amount of salt, great sear, and had so much flavor! My wife's Filet Mignon was very tender and soft, tasted delicious. The Bacon Mac was AMAZING had some bread crumbs on it and that crunch with the bacon and the creamy cheese was great! The mashed potatoes were extremely creamy and flavorful!

This is my second time coming to this place. I know people have raved about this steakhouse and as a pescatarian I am reviewing it as such. First and foremost the second time around I came for the Mr.'s birthday who is a carnivore. We came on a Tuesday at 6 PM for reference. The place was already pretty busy. He had the New York strip and said it was perfectly cooked and he is very particular on how his meat is done. His only complaint was that the plate itself was super hot and it continued to cook the meat. I figured it was to keep the meat hot. The kid had furikake ahi which was absolutely delicious. I had the salmon and it was on the sad side. It was small in portion, looked a little "naked "for my family but tasted OK. Definitely overpriced for the portion they give you. I ordered a baked potato without bacon. The topping on that was lackluster. It was a small spoon of sour cream. I did have to ask for a knife to cut it because it was on the harder side. The kid ordered garlic fries. They look larger in the picture that I took, but they were pretty stringy, super oily, and less garlicy. We almost took them back. That was a huge disappointment for them. They only ate a few. With that being said, would I go again? Yes. But I would try for happy hour. Are they overpriced? I think for some things they definitely are. Is the music loud? I believe it is overtly loud for a steakhouse. But that's just my opinion. We were able to find parking in the back is everything in the front was taken.

I was long overdue in treating the wife to a nice dinner and Little Joes Steakhouse was on the top of the recommendation list. This location on Nimitz is easy to find and there is plenty of parking including valet. We were early to our reservation but seated right away. The restaurant was a little busy but the tables are nicely spaced out to give that really cozy dining atmosphere. Everything on the menu is ala carte as with any higher end steakhouse. After some debate and letting our stomachs chime in on the decision making, the wife and I decided to order the calamari and Cesar salad to start, and for our main course we shared the massive 36 oz Tomahawk steak, a pair of lobster tails and mashed potatoes. And from the very first dish to dessert that capped everything off, Little Joes is definitely BIG on taste. Every single dish was on point. Derrick our server was attentive, courteous and paced each dish out perfectly to where we were able to enjoy every single bite. The steak and lobster tails were cooked to absolute perfection. We opted to have the huge steak pre cut for us to eliminate some of the work. The mashed potatoes was a perfect side dish to compliment both main dishes. My only disappointment was that I couldn't gnaw on the bone. Too many witnesses. We ended the night with a must try chocolate soufflé and some vanilla gelato. Would we go back? Hell yeah!!! And if you're looking for a solid steakhouse that will leave you perfectly satisfied, you will find it at Little Joe's.

Little Joe's Steakhouse never disappoints. From the moment you walk in, the service is attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. The staff consistently goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect, which makes the entire dining experience feel elevated. The food quality is outstanding every single time. The steaks are cooked exactly as ordered, flavorful, and clearly high quality. You can tell they take pride in both presentation and consistency. Whether it's a business dinner, a casual night out, or meeting friends after work, it's always a reliable choice. If you're in the downtown area, this is easily one of the best spots to unwind after work or enjoy a great meal. Little Joe's has become a true go-to for great steak, excellent service, and a consistently top-tier experience. Highly recommend.

Located on Nimitz Highway next to Liliha Bakery. Limited parking in the parking lot. Little Joe's offers valet parking for $3, cash only. Limited street parking. Good happy hour menu food options and prices. Food is on happy hour until 6:30pm, drinks until 7pm. The steak special with baked potato is a great deal. Fried zucchini is my favorite to get. Other good options are the fish tacos and sliders. Calamari is nothing special. Service is always good. The restaurant has good aesthetics. Good for special dinner, happy hour, dinner with date or friends.

Such a good experience. I ate a splendid meal of steak, mushrooms, creamed spinach and washed it down with mai tais. I was so happy with the prompt service and excellent food. I even appreciated the Frank Sinatra music for the majority of the night. Eat the meat!

My wife reserved a table on Open Table a few prior and we were seated an awesome table. The restaurant has a nice vibe inside and the place feels cozy. Our waiter was friendly and prompt with service. We ordered cocktails and ordered the Mac and Cheese and Mashed Potatoes and I got a New York Steak. My wife's Halo Halo cocktail (I think) was super flavorful and sweet ! It didn't taste like alcohol. My beer was okay but I'd rather get the cocktail next time. Our steak and sides arrived quickly and were piping hot when served. My steak was cooked to my preference perfectly ! The steak was juicy and tender with every bite. I would definitely order it again. The mashed potato was delicious and the potatoes were on the more creamier consistency which I was happy with. The Mac and cheese was a delicious blend of cheeses and the pasta was cooked perfectly. I had no complaints on any of the food and I would definitely return here if I return to Honolulu.

    Lucky day! Aloha Friday! Yay!

The ambiance was perfect, and our server Derrick was wonderful in helping me celebrate my birthday. The best part was the food, which was so delicious and perfectly cooked. We will definitely come back.

The spouse chose Little Joe's Steakhouse for dinner, which is the same company as the Liliha Bakery chain. ATMOSPHERE: Modern vibe, mood lighting, counter, low & high top seating, along with rooms that can become private. RESERVATIONS: Recommended via OpenTable as they were pretty busy. PARKING: Free but limited amount of stalls, or valet for $3. MENU: Steak, lamb, chicken, seafood and desserts. BEVERAGE: Lemon Drop Tasty and balanced recipe with a sugar rim. FOOD: Baked Potato Sold out. Come on!? Bruschetta We received this as compliments of the maitre d' as our server didn't came to our table for 10 minutes. It was simply a diced tomato medley over bruschetta. Appreciated, but no wow factor at all. Clam Chowder Very tasty New England recipe but the portion was extremely small for the price. New York Strip A hearty and thick 10 ounces, my requested medium temperature was majority medium rare, though perfectly seasoned and juicy. Highly recommended. Mashed Potatoes The spouse and I were so disappointed in settling for this thin and soupy selection that needed salt. Creamed Spinach Excellent flavors and creaminess. Highly recommended. DESSERT: Chocolate Lava Soufflé Definitely sized for just one person, it was chocolatey, chewy and delish. We added a scoop of vanilla ice cream to make it decadent. SERVICE: Host greeting was immediate and welcoming. As mentioned, no one to our table for 10 minutes. After the hawk eyed maitre d' noticed my spouse looking around, he came to our table to apologize and explain what happened. Really great recovery! The male server eventually showed up along with a few other workers who dropped off waters, but he didn't introduce himself nor mention his tardiness. Service thereafter was attentive and good. OVERALL: A lot more affordable than the big chains and with food that's up and up with them. A definite return.

This review is way over due. Looking for happy hour somewhere in town? Little Joe's is the place to go. They open at 430 when happy hour starts. Happy hour is from 430 to 630PM. Happy hour menu is half off. That's why they have the best happy hour. Best to make reservations. You're lucky if you get a table walking in. Our most recent visit was spontaneous and walked in, and we got high top table seating in the front by bar. Not bad, just gotta feed the belly. We went on my Friday, which is a Saturday, so I just wanted to have a few and pupu. Ambiance is dark and dim. Romantic ish. They have private rooms for private parties. Everything is Ala Carte. I ordered 2 glasses of Chardonnay and a spiked plantation cocktail. For pupu, we ordered fried calamari, fried mushrooms, and onion rings. Onion rings so fresh crunchy and yum. Same for the mushrooms, deep fried, very super hot, if u bite into it when it comes to your table. So careful for no burn yo mouth from the hot oil juice in the mushrooms. The calamari was dressed with peanuts and chili sauce. Interesting. For entree, she ordered a NY steak and mashed potatoes for us to share. And the wife ordered a crème brûlée for dessert. All was good. Fulfilling. For steak... we normally order ribeye. I/we never, ever, normally order any other kine steak than ribeye. Idk, the wife wanted to try something new I guess. Personally, if you ask would I order a NY again? Nope, no thank you. I'll stick to my ribeye. Lol for me, the drinks, the mashed potatoes and onion rings was yum to me. All in all, little joes never disappoints. 10/10 recommend. Will definitely go back again. And again. Especially for happy hour!

She was meeting up with her girlfriend and five others for drinks and pupus at The Social, on the second floor of the Ward Village Northeast parking garage. You enter via a single door and walk left down a hall past two sliding entry doors (on your left) that aren't used (strange), and find yourself in a long, relatively narrow space with three rows of tables ending at the kitchen. There must be more to the place than I saw because I didn't see the bar nor a large room that I saw in pics on Yelp. My SIL and I ordered Monkey 47 gin & tonics ($10ea) while her friends ordered a house red ($8), a JPOP Chu-Hi ($8) and food. We ended up with Garlic Chicken ($21.95, more like popcorn chicken), Truffle Parmesan Fries (16.95), and Shrimp Spring Rolls ($18.95). The latter looked like crispy cones and was served with a sweet, chili sauce. The (relatively small order of) Fries came with small containers of Ketchup and Aioli; the Chicken came in a bowl. The others at our table ordered tofu salad and sliced steak, which they shared with us. The food was tasty and well presented. My sole quibble was with the fries ... It was way too small an order for the price charged. I liked the place but the hard surfaces (floor, walls, and ceiling) made it pretty noisy. The highlight for me ... $10 for a Monkey 47 gin & tonic ... A steal!

Chocolate cake - too dense Mango cheesecake - too tart

Love his helpful suggestions, his pineapple shaved ice drink is not only an art piece but delicious! Tart, lightly sweet, icy, the scent, texture, the beauty! I'm a horrible photographer so I can't capture it to show you but just get it! You're welcome! I love their bourbon, candied bacon... the best! The Sunday brunch is simple, easy, and reasonable. Don't bring more than a table of 4. Also, not for kids. This is a magical, quiet place for adults, an oasis in the midst of the Ala Moana noise and craziness. My new favorite spot especially when I'm alone.

It has bar seating, cocktail lounge seating and a few "dining tables." The food is pretty good, I would give it a 4/5 because the portions are rather moderately small. But overall tasty and the bacon is outstanding. We had to order 6 items for 2 people to feel slightly full. But the menu is also fairly small with just tasting style apps meant for sharing and enjoying, they are not hearty and not meant to be entree sized. The cocktails are great, they do a wonderful presentation complete with smoke and etc. They have an extensive whiskey list and the options are are all diverse (mules, daiquiri, mescal, champs) yet standard. Now the service is pretty bad, greeted and asked repeatedly if we had a reservation which we did, we almost felt unwelcomed. Then the older skinny bartender perhaps in his 60's was very unfriendly and tried not to talk to us, take our order or even acknowledge us even though he was standing in front of us drinking water from his water bottle. This guy needs to work at a gas station or something where he can just sit in a corner and not speak to people. I wouldn't come here again, but if I were in the area and craving bacon I suppose I would. =) Bad service is just so off-putting.

Went here on a Thursday night which was more like a Friday because Friday is an observed holiday…read morefor us, around 7:45pm and was expecting it to be super busy but luckily for us, it wasn't. We walked in and the hostess was super sweet. She informed us that they were wiping down a table and we got seated within 10 minutes. It was our first time here and we've both heard and saw good things but we asked for extra time to look over the menu and our server was patient and gave us more time and offered some recommendations as well. We chose a handful of small plates and the softshell crab pasta with all the extra stuff and it was the perfect amount of food for us. We were more wanting drinks and pupus so our selections fit that but I'm sure if we wanted an actual dinner, we would have also be satisfied with the offerings they have. My only complaint about our overall meal is that the cocktails didn't complement the food. The drinks on its own were good and the food on its own was good, very good but together, bleh. The bone marrow had a slight sweetness to it that I didn't care for too much but it wasn't horrible and it was cooked perfectly, not over done including the crostini's. The octopus was cooked good (I would prefer it be a little softer) but still very enjoyable and the flavors were really good. The pasta and soft shell, cooked perfectly and flavors on point. So much so that I need the recipe so I can add this dish into my dinner rotation! The decor is nice.. when we first walked in, I thought we were gonna get a table right by the door, along the window, and I didn't want that, but we ended up getting a table closer to the bathroom (I think it was the bathroom?) and I liked that area. The area by the bathroom gives off chill, classy vibes, but the other area was giving me, fast food, sit down area vibes.

I've been dying to go here & we finally made it for date night!…read more My Ranking so far: #1 - The beef carpaccio was a highlight of my visit, this is a must! #2/3 - My bf got the Whole Moi + chicken fat rice & he was a big fan! #2/3 - I personally preferred the Chicken wings w/ caramalized fish sauce. It was good but also on the smaller side in terms of portions. #4 - The Soft Shell Crab Pasta was very buttery & garlicky, nothing super crazy. I highly recommend adding spicy sauce (on the table) in there, it was much better after! Next time I really want to try the duck breast salad!!
