We both ordered the ribeye steak, mashed potato, asparagus and fried rice. Both ribeye steaks were cooked to the exact doneness. The size of the ribeye steak was pretty big. Luckily I was very hungry so I finished my steak. The asparagus was very delicious and the mashed potato was very delicious too. Our server, Elijah did an excellent job answering any questions and was very attentive to what we ordered. When the meals came in. He even asked to double check the doneness of the steak by cutting it right down the middle and it was cooked to perfection. I don't remember the last time I went to a steak restaurant other than my birthday, so it's very rare to go to a restaurant and order steak. So this was a large treat to me. This visit we came for a late Father's Day celebration. Of course we all ordered steak since this is a steakhouse! We made reservations and we're probably seated at 5 PM. Since we were here early, restaurant was not very crowded at that time, but did fill up pretty good while we were there. One thing that I don't like about Little Joe's steakhouse is that they have the music playing very loudly that it makes it difficult to have conversations over dinner and even give your order to your server. We ordered the filet mignon, ribeye steak, chicken tenders and had sides of potatoes au gratin, sautéed mushrooms, grilled asparagus, fried rice with steak, and garlic fries. The food is consistently good, but I was disappointed in my steak as I ordered the ribeye to be cooked medium, but the steak I received was well done. It was still tasty, but definitely overcooked. My dad ordered the filet mignon medium but it came back rare. This surprised me, because in the past, they've cooked their steaks consistently to order, but cooking a good steak to well done is a definite, no no. Went for their happy hour and you cannot go wrong! The prices are great and the food is delicious. It's gets pretty busy when HH starts since it's first come, first serve. So I suggest being there before 4:30 to be sure you get a table. They have select items that are 50% off during happy hour such as the tacos and avocado toast! Everything else is still a great deal! They have their own parking lot that they share with Liliha Bakery so parking isn't an issue. The restaurant is clean and tidy. The first time I came with family and second time with my fiance. Service was good both times. The second time though was my favorite. I had the salmon and it was on the sad side. It was small in portion, looked a little "naked "for my family but tasted OK. Definitely overpriced for the portion they give you. I ordered a baked potato without bacon. The topping on that was lackluster. It was a small spoon of sour cream. I did have to ask for a knife to cut it because it was on the harder side. The kid ordered garlic fries. They look larger in the picture that I took, but they were pretty stringy, super oily, and less garlicy. We almost took them back. That was a huge disappointment for them. They only ate a few. With that being said, would I go again? Yes. But I would try for happy hour. Are they overpriced? After some debate and letting our stomachs chime in on the decision making, the wife and I decided to order the calamari and Cesar salad to start, and for our main course we shared the massive 36 oz Tomahawk steak, a pair of lobster tails and mashed potatoes. And from the very first dish to dessert that capped everything off, Little Joes is definitely BIG on taste. Every single dish was on point. Derrick our server was attentive, courteous and paced each dish out perfectly to where we were able to enjoy every single bite. The steak and lobster tails were cooked to absolute perfection. We opted to have the huge steak pre cut for us to eliminate some of the work. The mashed potatoes was a perfect side dish to compliment both main dishes. My wife reserved a table on Open Table a few prior and we were seated an awesome table. The restaurant has a nice vibe inside and the place feels cozy. Our waiter was friendly and prompt with service. We ordered cocktails and ordered the Mac and Cheese and Mashed Potatoes and I got a New York Steak. My wife's Halo Halo cocktail (I think) was super flavorful and sweet ! It didn't taste like alcohol. My beer was okay but I'd rather get the cocktail next time. Returned for yet another wonderful meal. So, it was Father's Day and yes, it was crazy busy. But the hosts managed the reservation seating well. Our wait wasn't too long. Servers are so on it. Food came out quickly, and talk about piping hot steaks, yummy! The one downside is that it's pretty noisy, with the loud chatter and house music. You have to talk loud to hear yourself. I ordered 2 glasses of Chardonnay and a spiked plantation cocktail. For pupu, we ordered fried calamari, fried mushrooms, and onion rings. Onion rings so fresh crunchy and yum. Same for the mushrooms, deep fried, very super hot, if u bite into it when it comes to your table. So careful for no burn yo mouth from the hot oil juice in the mushrooms. The calamari was dressed with peanuts and chili sauce. Interesting. For entree, she ordered a NY steak and mashed potatoes for us to share. And the wife ordered a crème brûlée for dessert. Attended a business presentation in the small, enclosed conference room, which fit 20 guests, and I must say that despite the close quarters, the servers did an amazing job. Very responsive to each guest's needs, requests, and refills, all while a power point presentation and speaker conducted the meeting. Not an easy feat! Orders were taken and served on time, we had salad and bread prior to the start of the talk, with food and sides delivered on time per the speaker's instructions. Refills of water and beverages were frequent, and that's a must for me, personally. Another guest had several special requests, and the server was in top of it all. The food was delish! The Caesar salad had a nice kick, with a Parmesan toast. The soft bread was nicely sized, although I would normally have asked for more butter (they were the cute little rose balls). Entrees offered were the miso butterfish, which arrived with two medium sized pieces and a swirl of sauce. No one had leftovers, it looked yummy. I chose the 16 oz rib eye (for large groups, everyone gets them served "medium"). It was very tasty and I have a huge steak for another meal as leftovers. I finally got to experience Little Joe's happy hour and it was absolutely divine! My boyfriend and I got lucky with a spot in the busy lot (shared by Liliha Bakery). We also were fortunate enough to be seated immediately. The hostess was very friendly! Our server Camilo was also very upbeat and kind. He suggested we try the fried zucchini, and Camilo was 100% correct to do so! All of the happy hour plates are competitively priced (half off usual prices) and well-portioned. Starting off strong, valet parking is $3 cash (tip not included). We were trying for happy hour but arriving at 4:57pm meant a 45 minute wait so we just opted for a regular meal. It was our first time there and we were excited because so many people rave about Little Joe's. The service was good, our server was attentive but did not hover, however he did get busy as more people came in. The restaurant was playing music we were enjoying but it was loud. I enjoy trying lots of things so we had the smoked salmon spread, steak tartare, dynamite scallop, wedge salad, french onion soup, boneless ribeye, creamed corn, and molten lava cake. Other than the tartare, I wasn't super impressed with the appetizers. The scallops were to sad halved scallops with a little bit of mayo and chili pepper. The wedge salad was a little watery, but the french onion soup was tasty. They asked us if we wanted the steak sliced or whole, we probably should have said whole. We ordered medium rare, and it came out on a sizzling plate. When I took a piece it was cooked to medium, by the time we finished eating our first piece it was almost medium well. The creamed corn was sweet and delicious. The lava cake, we ordered ala mode, but that comes on the side. The cake was delicious but not molten, didn't stop us from eating every bite. I can't believe it's taken me THIS long to check out Little Joe's Steakhouse. Their Happy Hour has been on my radar for years, but I just never took the opportunity to drop in. I FINALLY got the chance and it sure didn't disappoint. Over the years, good Happy Hours have disappeared across the island. Some establishments who had great Happy Hour deals have completely disappeared altogether. I appreciate Happy Hours that provide food specials with the drink specials. Just make sure NOT to make reservations if you want to partake in the Happy Hour as it is walk-ins only. If you make reservations, they will assume you are dining in and you won't be allowed to order from the Happy Hour menu. The list is extensive for Little Joe's Happy Hour menu. We ordered: - Steak tips with mushrooms: The sauce used for this was delicious...so much so that I drizzled it on the fried rice we ordered to up it's flavor game. - Fried calamari: I really enjoyed the way they make this. Not all places create the right amount of crispiness for their fried calamari, but Little Joe's does it just right. It's also drizzled with a some sort of sweet chili sauce on top that gives it a bit of flavor. - Fish tacos - Happy Hour steak special: My friend ordered this, but we were all impressed by how it was presented. - Fried rice with steak - Bacon wrapped asparagus - Spicy Negi Toro: I really enjoyed this. My brother had ordered this and let me try some. I wish I had left more room in my stomach to eat more of it. - Smoked salmon spread: This didn't meet my excitement for it. I'd pass on it next time. My friend and my brother also ordered dessert. My friend got the upside down pineapple cake, which she said was absolutely fabulous. We're not sure if they get it from Liliha Bakery since it's right next door, but she said it's better than the one at Liliha Bakery because they warm this one up for you. My only complaint about my experience at Little Joe's was the men's restroom issue we encountered that the employees did not treat as an issue at all. There was no soap in the men's restroom. My brother reported it to the employees who just blew it off and said something about it being a battery issue. I'm not sure if it just started happening that day or if it's been ongoing, but it didn't seem like a priority to them to get soap into the restroom. This bothered us because we saw both kitchen staff and servers also using the restroom during our visit who obviously weren't using soap to wash their hands. You'd like to hope they went to the kitchen to rewash their hands properly with soap, but that's having high expectations. If the battery is an issue that can't be taken care of ASAP, then I hope they at least get a bottle of soap to leave on the counter for patrons to properly wash their hands. read more

I was a bit worried that we weren't going to be able to take advantage of their happy hour, but we had more than enough time to order and eat. For two of us, we ordered the pupu ribeye steak, potato gratin, fried mushrooms, mac n cheese, and steak sliders. The pupu ribeye steak was my favorite - super juicy and flavorful and only $20! I also really enjoyed the potato gratin and fried mushrooms. The Mac n cheese was a little watery and the steak sliders were a bit tough, so I'd probably skip those the next time. Service was really friendly and attentive, and the food came out super quickly. There wasn't much parking during that time, but we got lucky and someone was leaving. The prime rib was tasty. The asparagus was grilled nicely. The mushrooms were a disappointment. They seemed like canned button mushrooms and were squishy and did not taste like sauteed mushrooms. Our friends love this place but we just never made it out here we decided to come for New Year's Eve! We are so happy we did, we came for the happy hour 4:30-6:30 for food and to 7:00 for drinks. See the menu they have so many things on the menu that it made it hard for us to decide since there was only two of us. Ordered from happy hour menu only: The rib eye steak was cooked perfectly and season with some kind of salt that made it so yummy yum yum! I would get that again. The scallops was made perfectly and Mac and cheese is the favorite of customers. I can see why. The bacon wrapped asparagus was all wrapped in bacon with a dipping sauce. I ordered the baked potatoes it was filled with bacon garlic butter sour cream and chives... so yummy!!! Negi toro and made perfectly!! The service was excellent. We had the ac blowing on us and I worried that it would make my food cold very fast and it would fast as good. The manager came out and moved the ac and it was perfect!! Once you get inside the restaurant, it can be a bit dark in there so be mindful of that. We got sat at a two top high table. The chairs are pretty high, so be careful. Ended up ordering the beef tartare, scallops, and calamari. If you have a nut or sesame allergy, let the know because the scallops have black and white sesame seeds on top. You get high end quality food for a good price . I recommend the ribeye steak for $24 which isnt signature's but almost close . Ambience is nice . I had good service and amazing food every time I went . Well maybe one time I may have had a small off service from one of the waitresses but sometimes we all have an off day . Located on Nimitz Hwy west bound and the left side next to Liliha Bakery. Was invited for dinner and I had the boneless prime rib steak which was very tender and tasty. My wife had the miso butterfish which was very small and over cooked, not that flavorful and more on the dry side. We also had the fried rice with steak, which was good. The Avocado toast was tasty and the fried calamari was okay nothing special. The Lilikoi crème Bur-lee was terrific! The Pineapple upside down cake was also very good and tasty! Parking was hard to find due to 2 party going on that night. Staff and service was okay, more like a diner than a little upscale restaurant. Restroom were clean and restaurant well kept! read more

Thank you Andrew and Cindy... After a whirlwind trip to parts of China along with the Narcissus Queen Tour we took advantage by taking side trips to Hong Kong and I'm just the luckiest one ever to have connections with other with connections in a super convenient to have the most unique yet amazing experience that I've ever had and what a scenic ride that made it a dream trip. What horrible jet lag for me so thankfully the reunion dinner we had here thanks to the brilliant suggestion from Nadine C to meet and and be host this time around and what a fantastic place to gather and celebrate or just have some dinner for two or a larger group like ours and still have a nice private room to ourselves. This might be a steakhouse though it's totally not limited to steaks as they have fish and lamb as well all are ala carte but is the best way to pair up your protein and even to create your own fun combos is just superb. I had the Ribeye steak and potato au gratin and the massive steak done just puuuuuuufrectly was just a luxurious bite the vibe here is just wonderful service was always on point and we never was without an issue and with the company of others are nice and makes it a festive moments. Liliha bakery service, . But mortons prices. here's the story, was promptly taken to the table by hostess, she put the menu's on the table. (most places at that price point, hand it to the guests after they are seated.) and pour you a glass of water. So after a few minutes, we picked up the menus with enough wait time to decide what to eat. So after at least 6-7 minutes, our waitress asked if we decided what we're going to eat. I told her, can we get water first? i had to repeat myself another time. Liliha bakery (same owner) has better service where they serve you the menu and pour you water as soon as you sit down. Ummm, by the way, every restaurant I've been to does the same, especially when you asking for $47 just for the entree, Morton's is the same prices, but at least they have a white tablecloth and ask if we would like any wine or cocktails ... nope, nada, never happened, just "have you decided what you want to eat"!! We were handed a bread basket with 2 hot buns and a tiny container with one small ball of butter. The basket was made out of metal covered with white paper (same paper from the bakery next door, with the dinner rolls on top. In retrospect, it seemed like it was from next door at Liliha Bakery, not your high end restaurant with a white cloth covering the rolls. within 8- 10 minutes, our french onion soup came out, but to my surprise it looked like 2 slices of cheese was placed on TOP of the bowl, instead of prepared inside the bowl. see picture. I didn't even finish my soup when the entrees came out. I still had a way to go, so i gulped it down and put it on the side. The dinner plate was sizzling hot, but it was not directly in front of me as i was finishing my soup. So I reached for it to move it down in front of me when .... I got scalded from the plate. No one told me it was very hot! Yikes! the meal was fine, but i ran out of water two thirds into the meal, so i had to remind the server if she can pour me some more water. She was very sweet, but untrained. All said and done the entire meal took 50 minutes, as much time i spend at zippys, but they serve you water without asking for it. Short $155 + $25 tip. I hope Peter Kim reads this. If you gonna charge these prices, your guests deserve a better dining experience. read more

Little Joes was recommended to me by a friend. Tonight I went with my wife due to graduation traffic. First experience when i walked in was it only about half full. There was alot of empty tables. We didnt have a reservation but was seated quickly. That was when everything started to go wrong. It was just 2 of us but they sat us in a small room next to 2 large groups. While the rest of the restrant was open they crammed us in there. It was so loud that my wife and i could not have a normal conversation. I have partial hearing loss from my time in the military and it was so loud it was messing with my equalibrim and I was forced to cover 1 ear to have a conversation with my wife. I love ribeye and so we both ordered ribeyes. The food was deliverred quickly and hot. But.... they didnt give me a ribeye. It was undersized and looked like it was scraps of some unidentified cut. Its pretty bad when you order two exact steakes but when they arrive they look totally different. My wifes steak was perfectly cooked. I asked the server if this was a ribeye and he stated yes. I informed him that it was not. The manager eventually made contact and brought me a replacement steak and was scaristic about the replacement. I was fine with the attitude but was not fine with the steak being extremely under cooked. I sliced a piece of the cap with some of the fat and the fat was still cold. I was forced to leave my steak on the plate till my plate cooked it. In my opinion they used way too much butter to hide that it is crappy meat. Taste was sub-par and have had better for half the price. I have traveled all across the US and have tried steaks in many different states. Last week I was in Dallas and tried a steakhouse there with the same cut and same cost yet it was cooked and seasoned properly. Little Joes was huge let down. It was so bad we didnt even finish out food. We just wanted to leave. The steak was so bad I might just feed it to my dog when we get home. I do not recommend this place nor will we ever be returning. Dont waste your money here. Probably the only positive point were that the mashed potatoes were tasty and our server kept my water full. read more
