Ehh it was ok, I don't really get all the hype. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is always a big line in a small claustrophobic space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The day i went they were literally out of everything except steak, no poke bowl or chicken. The portions and flavor were ok. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was also nowhere to sit, they only have like 6 high top tables[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This place was a 10 out of 10 the portion for the steak and chicken plate with rice and salad was more than enough. I couldn't even eat it in one setting. It took me two days to eat it and it was well worth it cooked to perfection. the price was right what more can I say.

A hidden gem next to the Outrigger Reef Hotel on the Beach. There is a path to walk on the right side as you head towards the beach. Once you reach the beach, the Shack will be on your left next to a shave ice place. They serve just three things - steak, chicken, & Kalbi & they even cut it into small bite pieces. We got their steak/chicken combo plate & it was really good. It comes with rice, tossed greens & two choices of dressing - Italian or Ranch. It also comes with a killer teriyaki sauce for the steak. The chicken itself I believe was cooked with that killer sauce. We got here at 4pm & were lucky that there was no line. We passed by around 6:30pm & there was a long line that stretched onto the beach sand. Go early if you can. If I'm in the area again, I'm definitely coming here.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Pretty simple in terms of menu options, but it's hard to beat that beachside location.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I tried the Steak and Chicken combo (personally think the chicken was better) and was pretty satisfied. Most likely going to have a wait time as it's a popular spot on the beach.

Very tasty and a large portion. I got the 6oz steak plate and it was great. Even the rice had a lot of flavor. They were busy but the food was ready quickly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]You just walk up and order right on the beach.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Recommended by someone we met at the resort pool and checked it out tonight for dinner. Line was long but it went fast. Ordered two 12 oz steak plate one medium and one well done. Cashier said 20 min wait but it took like 30 min. Luckily for us, we found the perfect place to sit just in time to watch the sunset (picture #2). Food wise, they gave a huge portion of rice, meat and salad. But our meat was cooked the same way (well done) even though I asked for medium. 4 stars because the steak was too "peppery" for me even if drenched with the yummy teriyaki sauce it came with. And yes, it was pretty pricey. Still have to think about if it's worth it. Would I go again? I would but will share a plate next time :)

For the cost of this plate in Waikiki, it does a great job. Pepper steak done right at whatever steak doneness you want. This combined with a salad. I got the ranch dressing and chose to skip it because it tasted like a very generic ranch, homemade ranch would have hit the spot. Instead I just used the teriyaki sauce over my salad. This is all over a generous pile of rice. The wait is a good 30-40 min to order and get you food but it was worth it.

We had lunch here on May 16th. One of the best meals of our trip! The steak was perfectly cooked, tender, and very flavorful! The young lady who waited on us was very friendly and we didn't have to wait long for our food. My only issue was with a woman who appeared to be a manager that was publicly berating an older kitchen employee outside to the left of the counter. She literally was chewing this employee out for a good 15 minutes about him encroaching on the space of another co-worker. It was so unprofessional and I felt super bad for the man. Conversations with staff should never take place in the presence of the public and should be professional at a minimum! We would definitely eat here again but their manager definitely needs to learn some leadership skills! She is the reason for 3 star review.

Yes, so good. Large portions and line went by fast!! Food didn't take long either. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Bonus points for being right next to the beach[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]!!

The steak was so dry. My friend and i separately and both were so incredibly peppery. When you order they ask how you want the steak to be cooked but kinda seems like they mass cook it all to a well done. Definitely not worth the 45 min wait. The location is really nice though since its right on the sand so you can eat it while enjoying the sunset or something

Might as well be called stoke shack, such a great place. Come here approximately 7pm on a Friday and find a sweet table for the weekly fireworks which go off right next to here. Simple menu, chicken or steak. I couldn't decide so I got both. Portions are big. Walk up place with simple menu. Obviously we're in Waikiki and prices are high, but this a great option instead of proper restaurants. Check this place out!

Was staying at the Outrigger Reef next door, so we dropped by for a bite to eat. The line can be long because it's extremely popular, and rightly so. Even though the line may be long, the service is fast. Their menu consists exclusively of steak plate lunches, thus the name Steak Shack. We got the 14-ounce steak plate for $27. The sliced steak is on a bed of rice, and the salad is in a separate container. It's very, very good, and is reasonably priced as my wife and I shared the plate lunch, and still have some left over. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Steak Shack is located on the beach on Kalia Rd, so it's very convenient if you're staying at Outrigger Reef, Halekulani, or Hale Koa Hotels.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Highly recommended!

I come to Honolulu once a month for work and this is my must stop! The food is sooooooo good. The steak I get is medium well and melts in your mouth. The Salad and ranch is amazing and I love the soy sauce that comes with it. Perfect combination with rice and everything. I always have to have A1 with my steaks but this steak doesn't need it. The staff is very friendly [[HIGHLIGHT]]the outside area is clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Highly recommend!!!!

Even the uncle that's in the parking lot goes out of his way to make sure your cars are well looked after so you don't have to worry. What can I see? The food experience was 10 out of 10 for us. We started off with the smoked grilled octopus. It was so tender. You could cut it with a fork. It had a very nice smoky flavor with a bit of char and a little bit of crunch. It was a perfect bite. Impaired with the chili pepper water took it over the top. We also ordered the fried brussels sprouts with the drizzle of honey, the broccolini and the truffle mashed potatoes. All of these dishes were seasoned too perfection. Even the truffle mash just a subtle subtle flavor of the delicate mushroom, not overpowering at all. Everything was so well balanced. When our entries arrived, which was the Nakamura prime rib and the pork chop both were really good! The whole dining experience was a 10 out of 10 we shared it with some good friends and it was a really memorable 42nd anniversary.

The only word I can come up with to describe this meal is "Yikes"…read more I came here with a group of 6 friends for dinner. I was excited about the prime rib so I preordered. I ordered the charred Caesar salad and duck fat fries. The charred salad was odd, I think I was expecting a light smoke but I guess they were true to the title because it was charred. My prime rib was the standard medium rare but it took some cutting because there was so much connective tissue that had not melted, the fat hadn't melted either. It was just bad. I asked the server about the prime rib and she said it's supposed to have a lot of fat because of the cut. Absolutely true, but it's supposed to melt not be huge chunks. It also needed the horseradish, it had no flavor otherwise. The server was nice and took half off the prime rib. The fries tasted like a standard fry I've had before, nothing special. I tried the lobster pasta my friend had and it was delicious, everyone who ordered pasta at the table was satisfied which is great but this is a steak restaurant. The server was really nice. I wouldn't come back even if someone else was paying. But my dog appreciated the prime rib I brought home, so I guess that's a win?

We both ordered the ribeye steak, mashed potato, asparagus and fried rice. Both ribeye steaks were cooked to the exact doneness. The size of the ribeye steak was pretty big. I don't remember the last time I went to a steak restaurant other than my birthday, so it's very rare to go to a restaurant and order steak. So this was a large treat to me. One thing that I don't like about Little Joe's steakhouse is that they have the music playing very loudly that it makes it difficult to have conversations over dinner and even give your order to your server. We ordered the filet mignon, ribeye steak, chicken tenders and had sides of potatoes au gratin, sautéed mushrooms, grilled asparagus, fried rice with steak, and garlic fries. The food is consistently good, but I was disappointed in my steak as I ordered the ribeye to be cooked medium, but the steak I received was well done. It was still tasty, but definitely overcooked. My dad ordered the filet mignon medium but it came back rare. This surprised me, because in the past, they've cooked their steaks consistently to order, but cooking a good steak to well done is a definite, no no. I am going to start with the good stuff.... Very pleasant and attentive staff, great location,…read morebeautiful sunny day, and the Hula Pie, which is delicious. The food was average, mostly burgers and tacos on the menu, with limited fresh seafood options. Tasty but small $20 drinks ouch! Duke's seems to be going the way of Chart House relying too much on their amazing locations and great ambiance. Need to focus a little more on the quality of the food.

Dined here last night and our server Kalei was great and had helpful suggestions…read more Started off with truffle garlic fries, seared ahi katsu and escargot. Although they have plentiful pieces, sad to say we did not enjoy the escargot as compared to other steakhouses. Truffle garlic fries lacked the truffle and was mostly garlic. Seared ahi katsu was good. Caesar salad was .. a salad. I know it's tradition but I personally don't like places that serve it with full lettuce pieces and make you have to cut it yourself... The lobster tail (is from the Caribbean) and the twin Maine lobster were alright. Misoyaki buterfish was good. Complimentary truffle mashed was provided, which was alright. What we did enjoy were the steaks. The filet was moist and seasoned well. Meat was tender. Ended with dessert: Fuji apple pie and lilikoi crème brûlée, which were good. I wish the apple pie had more apple chunks but they were smaller pieces. All in all, would come back specifically for the steaks. Would not get the escargot again, but would maybe try other apps!

The food is consistently delicious, we always get the lobster Mac & cheese and the steak is always juicy and perfectly cooked. The views are amazing and I love the vibe inside. The times we've gone, there's always been a pianist playing and I love when I recognize the songs! This is a place I always recommend to anyone looking for a nice date night out!
