Do not waste your time here. Not worth the quality of food for what they charge. Update: I replied to the link below. I spoke to someone by the name of Charlie, who was concerned about my review. I told him I tried to leave a better review even though that the Oscar sauce on the filet mignon was bland and it tasted like a biscuit and gravy sauce without the biscuit. The asparagus was very thin and yellow. You could tell that it was not fresh. The Caesar salad was OK, but it seems like it was just Romain lettuce with some salad dressing on it. So Charlie offered to try to make things right and offered me a complementary dinner and made the reservation through OpenTable and said that it is available through February 28. Fast forward. I confirmed the reservation and also I asked that there will be no charge. I called a couple of times because I did have to make some changes and asked again. Yes there is no charge. I arrived and I was told no it's not complementary and the only thing that's complementary is a glass of wine. I drove 50 minutes one way for a glass of wine. Does that make sense? I think they expected for me to bring a guest to make up for the bill. Unfortunately, I didn't have anybody who wanted to go there. Their review was very low and did not want to waste their time. I had a lovely time here for my company holiday dinner. All the food was exquisite. There was more than enough to go around with the cocktail hour and main courses. I loved everything but there was a peach cheese that was delish and of course all the lobster, shrimp, and crab were a plus. The decor for the holidays was lovely and I took advantage of the open bar. They make a mean espresso martini and dirty martini. The speciality cocktail was a bit too sweet for my liking. We were finally seated close to 9pm. The light above our heads was so blinding that the waiter had to put a sticky note over it. They were out of tomahawk so we shared a T-bone. The onion bread was enough to feed a nation. So light and fluffy, I had to force myself to stop eating it. The crab mash was amazing. Steak paired well with the truffle butter. The cognac sauce was bitter. Our waiter was so kind. It was only when mgmt walked by and spoke to me that I was like bro, I haven't had any service. He immediately corrected that and I didn't have any more problems with service that night. I ended up ordering the Cajun ribeye (recommended for flavor) and loaded baked potato for side. The steak was good, idk about $70 good but who's counting lol. I topped my meal off with the creme brûlée and it was delicious. Wish the layer of custard was thicker. Morton's is located downtown West Palm Beach. Due to exterior construction it is easy to miss if not paying attention. On this particular evening the restaurant was not busy at all. The ambiance is dark and sophisticated with dim lighting throughout the restaurant. We began with Espresso Martini which was delicious. Since this was our first time dining there, I ordered the Morton's Classic Filet and my guest had the Miso Glazed Sea Bass. The Filet was cooked perfectly and very tender. However the Sea Bass was disappointing for two reasons. Either it was previously frozen due to a slight after taste or overcooked. Neither should have been my guest's experience since they absolutely love Sea Bass. The Manager was courteous and professional by acknowledging the potential mistake. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. We may return in the future but will probably try another cut of steak rather than their seafood. read more

I am extremely disappointed by our experience at Morton's The Steakhouse. For a restaurant at this price point, the service was completely unacceptable. Our waiter seemed new, and to be clear, he was very kind. This is not personal toward him. But if someone is new, they need proper training and support. He clearly was not set up for success, and management failed him - and us. We sat down and ordered Pellegrino and a bottle of wine, which came out at a normal pace. He then asked if we wanted bread, we said yes... and it took 30-45 minutes to arrive. When it finally did, we started eating, and he proceeded to dump the entire remaining bottle of wine into our already full glasses, finishing it before our appetizer even arrived. The bottle was gone before the first course. We ordered a three-course meal. After another short wait, our entrées came out, but we never received our appetizer. The appetizer was soup. Something premade. Somehow that never made it to our table. I asked a runner to get a manager. She came over and was pleasant, and told us we could eat the entrées as intended and they would be remade to ensure they were warm once the soup came. The waiter then claimed someone else took the two soups. So... no one thought to simply pour two more bowls? Eventually the soup arrived. The only gesture offered was an extra dessert, but the special already includes dessert. Why would we want more dessert instead of adjustments to the actual mistakes? Remove the lobster tail upgrade. Comp the molten cake upgrade. Do something that reflects accountability. When our entrées were re-served, the side we ordered was missing. Another 8-15 minutes passed before the manager dropped it off, with no acknowledgment of the timing disaster. No apology beyond surface level. No ownership. We stalled finishing our meals just waiting for the spinach. Dessert timing was equally confusing. After waiting about 15 minutes (which would've been fine had the rest of the night not already been chaotic), there was no offer of coffee. We ordered key lime pie to eat there, key lime pie to go, and a molten chocolate cake. We were told one dessert was "in the oven." Key lime pie does not go in the oven. One slice came out and sat in a to-go container while we waited nearly 20 more minutes. We live 40 minutes away and were genuinely concerned about how long this pie was sitting unrefrigerated. The entire night lacked coordination, urgency, and management oversight. We had dirty silverware and a dirty table at points during the meal. For a $300-$400 dinner for two people, this is simply unacceptable. Again, I do not blame the new waiter. He was kind. But he needed help and clearly did not have it. Management should have been far more attentive and proactive. There was no sense of care, no attention to detail, and no meaningful recovery effort. Ambiance is nice in that the lights are always dimmed in the dining room and if you sit in the bar, the chairs are large enough that you dont feel like you are sitting on top of someone. Also, you can watch passerby traffic should you enjoy that type of view. Addicted To: the Homemade Potato Chips With Blue Cheese Dip and the Matchstick French Fries (always piping hot). Gone are the days of the valet, leaving you to duel with the street meters or brave the ominous depths of the nearby parking garage, which is as welcoming as a clown lurking in a storm drain. Back when City Place was my home turf, Morton's was a regular stop for dinner or casual bar bites. Now, living in Delay I tend to visit their Boca Raton sibling. However, it was "up north" I went. Upon arrival, the maître d' greeted me like I was his long-lost cousin, hiding me away in a coveted corner booth with a stalker's view of the dining room--where I had a commanding view of my fellow diners indulging in what can only be described as a carnivore's dream. (A high-five to their beverage menu for featuring non-alcoholic options from Athletic Brewing Company, a discovery made after my server had no clue they even offered NA beer - making me think her knowledge of the beverage menu was as dim as the ambient lighting.) Speaking of my server, imagine the polar opposite of the maître d''s welcoming charm, and there you have it. She oscillated between the demeanor of someone enduring an exceptionally bad day and the frostiness of an unwelcome mother-in-law. Yet, her service was satisfactory. From the "Imma eat way too much of this" onion loaf starter to the dessert everything was good. The steak was cooked to my liking and seasoned well, but it wasn't a steak worthy of the price. I don't think Morton's will ever have the same quality of food it had prior to being bought by Lawry's. I must mention the attire of fellow diners. The moment you see the door, you see opulence. Deep rich wood tones, dark colored upholstery. Servers in black tie with white shirts and as polite as I have ever encountered! The maitre de oversees all the staff and goes to each table to ensure dinner is perfect. Mind you they are only open for dinner and it is delicious!! The Shrimp Alexander is one of my favorites. The sides are generous portions, so you can share. The wine selection is vast. The dessert is decadent!! Chocolate Soufflé anyone? Went for first time to Morton's in this location. Food as you expect good. No atmosphere though and it looks on this Friday night living off the chains reputation and services lots of visitors. My guess is that people would walk from nearby hotels for a steak. There is outdoor seating basically on Okechobee main road. Service not staggeringly good either. Table server put lobster bisque ( which was very nice by the way) on the middle of the table and said plate was very hot and walked off! How was my wife supposed to move the plate to her seat? I went to Morton's for power hour after work and it was amazing! If you sit at or near the bar area you can indulge in half off bar bites and half off cocktails, wine, or beer from 4pm-7pm. I had a lemon drop, passion margarita, and 1942 shot. I also shared fresh cut potato chips, filet mignon sliders, lamb chops, crab cakes, and pork bao buns. Everything was fresh and flavorful! The ambiance was dark and intimate. Perfect spot for a date, birthday, anniversary, or night out with some friends. Very average steakhouse, didn't do much to impress me, probably wouldn't return for the money. Stopped by for dinner last weekend, a total of 3 of us. Grabbing a spot at the bar (in lieu of our table reservation), seemed like a difficult task in itself. Someone had broken a wine glass, which was an entire ordeal to clean up, and then getting clean place mats was another ordeal. Service at the bar was slow, it was hard to get menus, water/straws, and wine. Even receiving info on the menu proved to be difficult. The few questions we had about it seemed very difficult to answer- even the most basic "what comes on the wedge salad" got the response "1000 Island, eggs, shrimp..." Asked a second time, for clarification, if that was a different salad, and the bartender said no that was the wedge. Obviously came to find out that was another salad. When asked about dessert, and what items were "off the menu" (the manager had told us to ask about), she was clueless. It took a LONG time to receive any of our 3 wines ("they needed to find them"). In addition to that, my partner was served warm white wine. She may have been new (lack of knowledge of the menu), but not a great idea to put a new person behind the bar on a Saturday night (of the boat show). As for dinner itself, I ordered the filet mignon and "The Troy" (mushrooms and onions). I thought the steak was juicy and tender, and the mushrooms and onions were sautéed nicely. Steak needed a little more salt, or seasoning/sauce on it. I do appreciate that calories are listed to each menu item (probably only because I'm counting them as of late). $2300 later... You know, I tried doing this the nice way. I went on the Morton's website to leave a private review to management. I didn't see the need to drag their 3.4 rating further into the dumpster. However, their feedback form is designed so you really can't express much and when you reach the comment section, they limit you to 200 characters. That's when I realized Morton's simply doesn't care to hear it. So here is the real review. This Morton's looks identical to the first one I visited in the 1980's. That is not a compliment. It is dark, lots of black marble on bars and bathrooms. It is all very clean, but just a tired out design. The room itself is dark. Perhaps a good place to go for an affair, as no one can see each other, but that is not really much to recommend a place on. Our group was 16 people in a private room. The servers looked like they were aware this was going to be a big tip, but somehow couldn't manage to rally with either personality or effort to make an impression. I asked the server why they took their great hash browns off the menu. She said she would ask the kitchen to make some. That was nice, maybe this was going to get better. However, she came back to report the chef said he didn't have any potatoes to make them with. You don't have fresh potatoes in a steakhouse? That was the sign to run, but I didn't heed it. They brought out bread - and I Love that big, fresh, crusty, round onion bread they always serve...but what's this? We got served tiny, individual sized onion buns. To top it off, they were hard, starting to go stale. We ordered two of their seafood towers for $320 and I was pleased to see the shrimp were large and well cooked, but as I brought one close to my face, I caught a whiff of the fishy smell, telling me these too were old like the rolls. I got up and went to find the manager. I asked him, if their business was in financial trouble. He was taken aback and said no. I told him about my experience so far and that we would be spending a lot tonight and they needed to step it up. He said he used to be the chef, so he would go talk to them right now. I saw him again when we exited, but he never came by to see if we were happy with the entrees. The restaurant was a third full, so I don't know why he would be so busy that he couldn't find time. When the entrees did come out, the fish dishes were all very plentiful portions, the steaks looked good and our group seemed pleased. For dessert, we ordered their "famous chocolate cake" for $16. They had a note next to it, "make it a sundae for $4". Sure, why not? I'll tell you why, because you are paying $20 for a hockey puck sized object that had melted flat like a tire with all the air let out, with a scoop of watery ice cream for company. In a word, yuck. When the bill came to me, it was $2300 and there was no effort to make amends for the subpar start. In fact, they boldly added a seven percent banquet fee the server told me was to help pay for the sales managers salary. Oh good, that feels like my responsibility. Now, I didn't sign the contract for the private room, so maybe it was written in there, but still...they sure were not working towards building back any good feelings. So I gave two stars based on the fact the entrees seemed to please our guests, but otherwise, there are three other steak restaurants in a five mile area that do what this place does so much better. Meat Market on Palm Beach is priced at the same level (and is a modern, brighter environment with a less weathered, bedraggled staff). If you are spending this much, you should enjoy your surroundings, the experience and the food - on this scale - Morton's scored a 0.5 out of three. read more

The steak and lobster tail advertised looked great and I have enjoyed it in person several times. Unfortunately, they sent what appeared to be some form or trash/scraps left over from some lobster bisque additives, and 100 percent NOT from a "lobster tail". The baked potato was completely rotted out and black. I called the store and basically was told, "sorry, but you need to talk to Door Dash, we can't do anything about it. WTH! First the good things; the atmosphere was very relaxing and pleasing, for an upscale steakhouse. Service started out extremely professional and knowledgeable. We ordered drinks while we reviewed the different menus. We decided to order from the special restaurant week menu $60 for three course meal. For the first course, two of us ordered the lobster biscuit, which was delicious and two ordered the house wedge salad, which was also very tasty. Next three ordered filet mignon medium and I ordered a pork chop. Sides were cream corn and potatoes au gratin which was very good. One fillet came out medium one came out, medium rare and then one came out medium. Well, it took some time to get the attention of a server to advise of the medium well. They offered to fire up a another fillet which we accepted. They also brought out additional side dishes due to the fact that the original side would be cold by , the new fillet came out came out. In addition, we had asked the server for an additional drink that never came out until we were almost finished with the meal. Had dinner here recently and honestly, it was a great experience from start to finish. The staff was welcoming and professional -- the kind of service that makes you feel taken care of without being over the top. I ordered the filet mignon, and it was cooked perfectly -- super tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The sides were solid too, especially the lobster mac and cheese (definitely recommend). Portions were generous, and everything came out hot and nicely presented. The atmosphere is classic and upscale, but still comfortable. Great spot for a date night, celebration, or even a business dinner. Prices are on the higher end, but for the quality of food and service, it felt worth it.
