Let me just say, that I was not expecting this place to be so phenomenal. I got the steak sandwich and let me tell you - I was beyond impressed. The steak was cooked absolutely perfectly to my request. I am waiting for them to open so I can order another. WOW - so delicious. The fish and chips were also amazing

4+ an old neighborhood bar that feels like it's been around for a very, very long time. Around the cluster of restaurants and bars in Playa Del Rey, this place offers up your standard type menu in addition to some elevated items such as steaks. The server I had was friendly and helpful. I was in the area, walking the dog and was trying to find something open on the later side that's dog friendly. They had a patio so it looked perfect. I ordered a beer, the soup of the day and some onion rings. I didn't want eat anything big or too much meat so this was perfect at the time. The onion rings came out hot and fresh and the clam chowder was good. The cold beer was very refreshing. All in all solid place to have a meal, especially if you live or are in the area. Pretty good selection of beers and spirits as well. It is a bar after all.

We absolutely love Mo's. We hadn't been here in a very long time we realized last night because it was all redone so nicely inside. It was a go to spot for our friends that moved away so a must go whenever they're in town. The food is excellent. The neighborhood cozy vibe with a yummy array of food choices. I tried everyone's food except for the turkey dip lol but that looked great too. The chicken tenders were not frozen and you could tell hand pounded just wonderful. The steaks and side salads for me always a huge hit. Juicy delicious burger with jalapeños and great fries and onion rings. I had the shrimp Caesar and ate the whole thing. Excellent service by the blonde bartender (sorry forgot your name!) need to come back again sooner than later this time. Love love this local spot.

What's even more shocking was that I was driving by a place that in my eyes deserves some special attention! So espresso martinis are a thing and this place came highly recommended for them so my sugar sugar and I said, why not?? We made reservations and left a bit early because based off Google Maps the restaurant is on the corner of Manchester and Lincoln but based off my memory, I never saw a restaurant with that name! So to clear the air, it's there y'all, you just have to slow down and look. When you walk in the restaurant is dimmed and it totally sets the mood and my mood was steak!! Our waiter was super cool and we appreciate his hospitality. He asked if it was our first time. We confirmed and he ensured us that we would enjoy our experience and enjoy we did! First - espresso martinis. It was as if the bartender read our minds...they were made to perfection! Flavorful and you can definitely taste the balance of the espresso and alcohol. I ordered the steak frites and sugar sugar ordered the salmon. We always try each other's food and we couldn't determine which dish was better. The salmon was baked perfectly and the side salad was delicious! The steak had just enough seasoning so that it didn't overpower the quality of the meat. I have never had a perfectly cooked steak in my life! Ruth Chris who? Maestros where? I don't even eat steak on a regular but best believe it will be at the Manchester moving forward. As sugar sugar and I continue on our quest to try as many espresso martinis in LA, best hands down the best steak for me is here! Save me a seat!!

The speakeasy is unique and even serves full menu of great food! Aesthetic & Ambiance: 9.5/10 - it was very prohibition themed and the menus being price/luggage tags was very fun. Came on a saturday night at 6:30 reservation and it was very quiet with us being the only table most of the evening. The outside restaurant has live bands which can be a little loud. Service: 100/10 - Markley was the bartender and the only one who operates the speakeasy, she's not only the best bartender Ive had custom drinks from, but she also makes each individual product herself. She explained every part of the drinks and ingredients, and even offered to make any kind of drink we'd want if there was nothing on her menu. Drinks: 10/10 - if you like cocktail bars this is it...EVERY drink was a unique in flavor and handcrafted by Markley from steep to serve. house-infused liquors and tinctures- ONE OF A KIND BAR Food: 8.5/10 - all around great some dishes better than others Bread & Butter - 9/10 great toasted sourdough with a garlic butter and the butter was perfect salty-addition. Calamari - 7/10 a little too breaded for my liking with the rings and tentacles being a little dry. Deviled eggs: 7.5/10 interesting they were fried, but had great flavor all over Mongolian Beef: 8/10 very good flavor, and rice was tasty, but the sauce was a little salty. Cajun chicken pasta: 9.5/10 chicken was tender, pasta was cooked perfectly, sauce was delicious, and the sausage was a great addition. I'd easily drive an hour from LA again to come here!

The space is awesome. Two bars, one on each side, and a massive back patio that really opens things up. The left side (Bar 2) is where the karaoke happens, and that's when the place really comes alive. It pulls in a great crowd and turns the whole night into an experience. Overall vibe is cozy, relaxed, and very down to earth. Food is solid, but the veggie burger with onion rings is the star. Easily the thing we keep coming back for. Drink selection is moderate, but the bartenders are flexible and will pretty much make whatever you're in the mood for. Prices are reasonable, which makes it even easier to hang out for a while. The back patio is a big win, especially for groups. Great spot to step out, get some air, and still keep the energy going. The bartenders are genuinely friendly and make the place feel welcoming. You'll meet all kinds of people here, but everyone shares the same easygoing, friendly vibe. Overall, a fun, reliable spot when you want a laid-back night with a little personality.

The highlight of the night was definitely the drinks. We asked for something fun, and the manager surprised us with a couple of off-menu cocktails that were creative, delicious, and honestly the coolest drinks we've had in a while. They were pricey, but the presentation and quality made them worth trying. Unfortunately, the service took a turn after that. The manager disappeared for what I assume was a break, leaving a single server to cover the entire rooftop. We completely understand that things happen and it wasn't the server's fault, but we ended up waiting around an hour to an hour and a half without anyone checking on us. We wanted to order another round of drinks, but the server was constantly rushing past trying to keep up with everyone else. Eventually, we gave up, walked to the bar ourselves, paid our tab, and left. Flora has a great atmosphere, beautiful views, and some genuinely impressive cocktails. If they can improve the staffing during busy hours, this place would easily earn a higher rating from me.

Greeted by our very kind waiter, we were served the most delicious toasted bread, butter(s) and rock salt from La Boulangerie. As a film nut, of course I ordered the Cinema Paradiso, this is a very imaginative cocktail recipe, like a an Old Fashioned but with a movie theater twist, kindly served with a pinch of candy kettle-corn at our table by the mixologist herself; what a playful and tasty delight! For starters, we are ordered the Mini-French-Onion Grilled Cheese and Hamachi Crudo. Both absolutely delicious. The Hamachi Crudo Leche de Tigre sauce is beyond perfect. The balance of flavors between charriness of the bread and melted cheeses, and tangy onion soup dip...just wow. Then the steak! Accompanied by a delicious Châteauneuf-du-Pape, we shared between two, a perfectly cooked (medium rare of course, don't be basic) N.Y. Strip (au poivre sauce on the side) with au gratin, and it came with nice little on the vine roasted tomatoes and a little leafy salad...like I told Chef when he came to our table post meal: "INCROYABLE!".
