My vehicle was at Moss Bros. Chevrolet Moreno Valley from April 9, 2026 until May 6, 2026 for repairs covered under my extended warranty that I purchased with the vehicle. Throughout the entire process, communication was extremely poor. I rarely received updates unless I repeatedly called the service department myself, sometimes 10 times a day, just to get someone to answer the phone. My service advisor was Andy, and every time I called, I was told he was somehow on a "2 hour lunch." Even after leaving multiple messages with my name and number, I almost never received a callback. The information I was being told by the dealership also constantly conflicted with what my warranty company was telling me. Andy repeatedly claimed my warranty company was refusing things or causing delays, but when I contacted my warranty directly, I was informed that the dealership was attempting to bill for charges or work that either was not approved or had not actually been completed. My warranty company specifically advised me that the dealership appeared to be attempting to double-charge or add unsupported labor costs. My warranty company even emailed me proof of the double charge. At one point, I was told I would need to pay an additional $300-$400 out of pocket for "labor" because supposedly my warranty would not cover it. When I asked for a clear explanation, nobody could properly explain why. The service manager simply stated that the warranty "wasn't paying them enough," which is not an acceptable explanation to charge a customer additional fees. The delays continued when it took several more days just to order my engine. Andy later promised my vehicle would be completed by the following Thursday. I explained to him multiple times that my rental coverage only lasted 5 days. Six days before my vehicle was finally completed, Andy called me and stated that "something else happened" with my vehicle and that it would take another 6 days to finish. He specifically told me the dealership would place me into a rental vehicle due to the inconvenience and also stated I would no longer have to pay the additional $300-$400 because of everything that had happened. After weeks of delays, lack of communication, conflicting information, and inconvenience, I finally picked up my vehicle yesterday around 2:30 PM, paid my warranty deductible, and left believing the matter was resolved. Today, I then received a phone call from Andy asking why I "didn't tell him" I already had a rental vehicle. I reminded him that I absolutely did tell him and had multiple conversations with him about my rental situation. Mind you he has been the one speaking to my warranty this past month and knows my warranty only allows 5 day rental!! He then told me I now needed to come back and pay for the additional 6-day rental. When I questioned how that made sense after what I had been told, he responded by saying, "Okay, we'll just take you to court," and then hung up on me. I immediately called and asked to speak with the service manager regarding both Andy's behavior and the overall handling of my vehicle. The service manager showed no concern or professionalism regarding the situation and simply told me he would "look into it" and call me back later. This has honestly been one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever dealt with. The lack of communication, inconsistent information, unexplained charges, delays, and unprofessional behavior were completely unacceptable. I would never bring my vehicle back here again, and I would strongly caution others before trusting this dealership with their vehicle or warranty repairs. read more

I was dealing with Oscar the service manager and I feel he took no responsibility for the lack of communication from his employees nor did he ever apologize for the inconvenience they left us in. These people are terrible. We have taken truck in several times to be serviced. This last time took in on the 2nd of July for issue they supposedly fixed 2 months age they just finished fixing it today 20 days later and are trying to say a known coolant issue on this truck caused damaged to transmission but they are saying it's not covered under warranty. Even though we took it in the first time before mileage ran out on warranty. They are saying a known issue with the coolant system on this truck caused the transmission to go out but because it was a coolant issue it's not covered under powertrain warranty. Manny in service is a scum bag lier. I asked him about the known coolant issue on the 2023 Chevy colorado and even though he is the service manager he looked at me and said I don't know I have been with chevy less then a year. Then he said lots of cars have coolant issues. Stay way they are snakes! Filling a claim with gm this is crazy. Also we went in a week ago to see why it was taking so long and one of the sales guys, I thing his name was tj or aj he said just get a new vehicle. My husband and I negotiated for a truck, once both dealership & us came to an agreement we decided to make the HOUR AND A HALF drive just to be told that the MANAGER went against his word and refused to give us the deal we had previously discussed. So of course we declined and left truck-less. One thing about business is once the agreement is made, you keep that. You don't immediately flip the minute the customer finally arrives. This is an update. I received a call from a "Mr. Esteban," a sales manager who called and left me a message on on 12/03/25 via voicemail, stating, he read my "email" that I was unhappy with my purchase, apologized, and said he was calling so that he can "make it right for you." I followed up and called Mr. Esteban on 12/04/25, stating that he was responding to my emails to Glenn (Moss), and cannot re-write the contract, also stating that he had no idea this was going on (assuming the deception). He stated that the Limited version is about $10K more. He understands the car I was to drive (as a tester) would have the same specs (as the one that I wanted, which was an XLE, but it clearly did not). He stated even if he could, "we would be at the same predicament," a very unhealthy response. He even stated that I was in the car dealership earlier and was looking at a Limited stating I couldn't have afforded it (I was very taken aback) by this. I told him that I was not happy with him or the whole transaction, and that regardless I was lead to believe that the car I got would have the same specs as the one that I looked at before the XLE was delivered. He told me he could help with gas or coated rims--I told him I spoke to Mr. Sanchez about a CD player made just for the Highlander. He wrote that off and did not respond, however I told him that if I had no other choice I still am not satisfied without having the specs I was promised, but they could give me the little coated rims anyway--this does not replace what I should have been provided period. I have not heard from them since. Mind you, when the dealership told me during an earlier convo that what they said not written in any documentation is true as verbal, I took what they said as true as verbal (the 5 day condition) as well, when it came to receiving the car that I wanted with the same specs as I was promised that I saw in the Limited. I told them I will take the XLE so long as it has the same thing in it as the Limited. In my mind this is totally unsatisfactory, and this dealership can just treat people how they want, and not deliver as promised. And once you are out the door, you are out of sight out of mind. All I want is what I was told I would get! (I did reach out to management one more time with Glenn Moss, and had not heard anything back since I last spoke with Mr. Esteban either.) On Thursday, Jesse and Genero called me after the Traverse I had been looking at $38,765 sold . They told me they had three similar Traverses on the lot and would price match that vehicle. They also stated they would match my Carvana offer for my trade-in. Before heading to the dealership, I called Jesse to confirm the offer would be honored and to ask what time he would be leaving. He told me he would be there until around 5-6 PM and would wait for my arrival. I drove over an hour to the dealership based on that confirmation. When I arrived and asked for Jesse, I was sent to a floor manager (his name sounded like CT or JT). He informed me they did not have the vehicles Jesse described and said they had not realized one of them had leather seats. He then attempted to sell me a different Traverse at a much higher price. I explained that I had been promised a price match of $38,765 and asked him to get Jesse. He refused to do so. Instead, he attempted to sell me a Traverse for $45,500 out the door. At that point, it was clear that none of the promises made to me before my arrival were going to be honored. I wasted over an hour driving there based on information that turned out to be inaccurate. While I was there, another customer behind me was experiencing a very similar issue, which was concerning to see. If you plan to visit this dealership with a Costco certificate or any advertised pricing, I strongly recommend having Costco review the itemized numbers before finalizing anything to ensure the pricing matches what was represented. Once you have an issue it's the run around...purchased an used 2023 dodge Challenger with only 40k miles...and I already have to invest about 4k to fix the light components because unfortunately the extended warranty was crap! They kept my car for 1wk, no one ever reached out for a status, had to show up and still no one knew what was going on...I picked up the car, still nothing fixed, sales manager Jesus provided me with his direct number only to find out he also doesn't communicate. I made an appointment with this dealer where i purchased my new car one year ago. I drove 25 miles to them for service. The service clerk started to check me in. Told me it would be 1 1/2 hour wait. She told me to go try another place across the street. I left and came back because I wanted the dealer to do the work. When I returned the service clerk tried to talk me out of staying for service. She went inside the shop, came back and now said it would be at least 3 hour wait. Poor customer service plus I don't appreciate being lied to. 2017 Ford Focus was listed at $6,649 online. I made an appointment with Alex Felix the internet manager. Wednesday 9/13, 6:30pm I show up for my appointment with Alex he immediately turns me over to TK (salesperson). Alex then stated that the sales price of the car "may be higher". I rejected that attempt as I have pictures of the car posted online and an email from Alix showing the online sales price $6,649. Lastly, I've received multiple calls from different people at the dealership since my appointment with Alex; each time I've advise the person calling that I'm already working with another sales person. The call I received today 9/16 @1:20 pm inspired me to leave this review; i received a call from someone stating that he is a sales manager, he was very rude, over talking me and stated the car was never listed at $6,649. Because of his unprofessionalism I'm leaving this review with pictures of the online price $6,649 and confirmation email from Alix for all to see and beware of. Hopefully the sales manager(s) will take a professional approach both internally and externally; uphold the standards of the Moss family brand and spare everyone at the dealership this embarrassment moving forward. I purchased my vehicle on Labor Day. I did see a smudge on the left side of the vehicle. As you can see the pictures were taken at the parking lot Of the dealership. My sale person took the car to get washed and I thought it would come off then I forgot all about it. As soon as I got home, I seen the left side and it was still there. I contacted them and let them know about the problem. They told me that they gave me the car in perfect condition but as you can see in the pictures the smudge is still there. They told me I had to talk to Dave the manager. I've called him and left voicemail for a whole week. Never got an answer. I called the sales guy that helped me out. He said he was going to help me out and give me a call to set up an appointment for a detail and see if that would fix the problem. A week has passed by and I never got a calI back . This is by far the worst service dept I have ever dealt with. They are incompetent and complete liars. We just purchased a CPO C8 3 months ago from a different dealer. The transmission was giving us intermittent issues going into reverse so we brought it in to have it checked out. Service advisor Lucas states vehicle needs a new transmission and that it is not covered under factory warranty because we have not performed the DCT filter change that is required at 7,500 miles. This vehicle is a 2020 with 8,600 miles. We tried explaining that we just purchased the vehicle as a CPO and that this service (per Chevy maintenance schedule) is due within the 1st year / 7,500 miles and then every 22,500 miles there after. This car is currently 5 years old, this first service should have been competed over 4 years ago long prior to us owning it. Advisor stated that his hands were tied and that it was up to Chevy corporate. I asked to speak with a service manager/director and was told multiple times that they do not have one. I proceeded to open a case with Chevy corporate per advisors request. Chevrolet corporate advised that dealer is requesting a copy of proof that this DCT filter was replaced before they proceed to diagnose what caused transmission to fail. How can I provide a document that I don't have access to?!? What part of we just purchased this vehicle are you not understanding?! I decided to tow the car to a more competent dealer that is actually willing to help rather than try to scam us out of $13k for a new transmission that is covered under power train warranty. When my husband went to pick up the car so we could drop it off at the other dealer, they charged him $250 diagnostic fee. I called the advisor asking why they would charge diag on a covered repair and he told me because our warranty is "void" and that corporate told him to charge us the diag fee. Mind you, Chevrolet corporate advised me previously, that ultimately these decisions are up to the dealer. When I responded with this, and stated that he is clearly lying, he told me that corporate lied. I should also add, corporate is stating the transmission cause of fail was never diagnosed, the car was just sitting there. How do you charge diag on something that was never diagnosed? They don't even know what is causing the transmission to fail. Advisor then proceeded to tell me that he will have the service director contact me. How is there all of a sudden a service director when you have been telling me you don't have one for the past two weeks? Moral of the story is, I want the bs $250 diag fee that was wrongly charged to us refunded immediately so I can wash my hands of this fraud of a dealership and get this car fixed by a dealer that actually knows what they're doing. I don't know how this place is in business, and clearly I'm not the only one because just look at thee other 300+ terrible reviews!! read more

We had been in the process of purchasing a new Chevrolet Suburban, as we already own a 2019 Suburban. However, we experienced dishonesty and disrespectful behavior from the dealership staff. We felt targeted, especially when the salesperson TK told my wife to be quiet and stop speaking. TELLING HER SHHH We had engaged in three days of phone conversations WITH ABEL AND MANAGER MICKEY to ensure that if we made the 2 and a half hour trip to the dealership, they would be able to meet our requirements and work with us. They made promises to that effect. Unfortunately, upon our arrival, the salesperson we had been communicating with was absent, after promising us he be there and a different salesperson took over. This new salesperson TK continued to express frustration about taking on our sale saying "I'm so ANGRY" because he apparently had taken on the sale and I'm sure because now he had to split who knows but his tone and attitude and choice of words were completely inappropriate and unacceptable. Despite our arrival with a loan and a check from our bank, Navy Federal, the salesperson insisted on running our credit again, falsely claiming it was a legal requirement. We had no need for approval from other banks, as we were prepared to make the purchase outright. Furthermore, the salesperson rudely told my wife to be quiet. The manager, Mickey, who had also contacted us and provided false information, refused to address our concerns directly. During our phone conversations with a person named Abel, lasting three days, we were informed that the Suburban had an MSRP of $72,000. Abel assured us that they could bring the out-the-door price down to $67,000. However, upon our arrival, the dealership suddenly claimed that the price was $88,000, not including taxes and fees, which would bring the total close to $98,000. This blatant deception wasted our time, forced us to make an unnecessary trip, and subjected us to disrespectful treatment. Such behavior is entirely unacceptable. Point here is that is false advertisement, is ok you don't want to bring it down totally ok! But if your being asked and we're calling for THREE straight days to assure that the price and monthly payment can be met and you tell us yes then when we go it turns out it was all lies ! Furthermore, we had explicitly informed Abel over the phone that we intended to trade in our 2019 Suburban, which is in excellent condition and has very low mileage. We disclosed that we still owed $37,000 on the loan and requested that it be paid off as part of the deal. Abel assured us that it would not be an issue and even hinted that they might offer us a higher trade-in value than what we owed. However, upon our arrival at the dealership, the sales agent named TK informed us that they would only give us $23,000 for our Suburban. This offer was shockingly low and felt like a blatant act of robbery, considering the fact that our vehicle is worth close to $40,000. The significant disparity between the promised trade-in value and the actual offer further compounded our frustration and disappointment with the dealership. Additionally, the sales agent TK resorted to aggressive tactics and put immense pressure on us to test drive the vehicle, despite my clear reluctance. I had expressed my desire to first ensure that we could reach a satisfactory agreement regarding the deal and keep our payments within our desired range. However, TK raised his voice and yelled, "I SAID DRIVE IT," disregarding my concerns. His intimidating behavior even frightened our children, making the situation even more distressing. Attached are screenshots of me speaking to Abel, also another lie he said a Yukon was 78k see attachment photos of sticker price when we get there TK states is well over 100k these discrepancies in prices are of over $20k!! Which is unheard of ! We had asked to speak to sales manager well he never came out and still never called us! Went to have our oil changed on one of our vehicles with a coupon received in the mail. We continue to get coupons for vehicles we haven't owned in years and none for the actual cars we currently own. They do not want to honor the coupon because it's not the listed vehicle. After speaking with the manager, they agreed to honor part of it. It's absolutely ridiculous. They're getting our business, does it really matter what car we are coming in with? We will be taking our future business elsewhere. Addendum: So now, a day after arguing about a coupon and waiting 2 1/2 hours for an oil change, we get a call saying we missed our appointment and did we want to reschedule. What was a simple oil service, turned into the worst vehicle service of my life! I scheduled an appointment for 2/25/2021, for an oil service for my C7 Corvette. I waited for the service to be performed and when it was completed the service advisor Gerald Garcia, advise me that there was fuel leaking from the fuel pump that there was a recall on. I was told that the parts would be in on Tuesday 3/1/2021. On 3/1/2021 I received a call saying that upon inspection the technician was incorrect, it was not the fuel pump it was the neck of my fuel tank and that one had to be order from the Michigan warehouse. I was told it would be five days to receive the part. On 3/8/2021 I called to get an update on my vehicle, I ask for the service advisor and the service receptionist said the he was assisting a customer and that she would take a message. On 3/10/ 2021 at 4:00 pm, I still had not received a return call about the status of my vehicle so I drove to the dealership to find out. I spoke with the advisor and he was clueless and no update on where the part was and when it would be there nor had the ability to give me any information. I was told that he had to speak with the parts manager the next day on 3/112021 and he would get back with me the next morning. On 3/11/2021 he advised me that the part would be in on 3/12/2021 and that I would have my vehicle back that day or no later than 3/15/2021. On 3/16/2201 at 1:57 pm I received a call from the service advisor stating that the work on my vehicle was completed and ready for pickup. I got there at 4:30 pm paid for my oil service and signed the paperwork. I was told that my vehicle was out front and this is what I walked out to a filthy vehicle outside and inside. They took in a clean vehicle for service and had it for 20 days and handed me back this! On 3/17/2021 someone called from Moss Bros. Customer relations, to see if everything was okay with the service performed on my vehicle. I explained to the woman that I was very dissatisfied with the service and the condition in which my vehicle was returned. She apologized and said that she would have a manager call me, because my vehicle should have be detailed before returning it to me. Today is 3/19/20 and I have yet to hear from anyone at Moss Bros. I have used Moss Bros. to service two other vehicles in the past, a Camaro and a Corvette that I owned prior to this one. This was the worst experience I have had at any dealership, when having a vehicle serviced. I will never ever return to Moss Bros and will take my business to Riverside Chevrolet from this day forward, I'm willing to drive 10 miles out of my way after this experience. read more

First off, this review is NOT for the sales department. The sales department was fantastic when I decided to purchase from this dealer as a family friend had a connection with the owner back in September 2023. This review is for the Service Department. This department is horrible!! Back story, I had lifters fail which damaged my camshaft on my 2019 Silverado 1500 which was covered under the manufacturers year warranty. But they told me I also need an Engine Oil Coolant Line replaced. No big deal, it's a $130 according to Chevrolets website. Lisa quoted me for $3500+ ($3100 in LABOR!) to replace this part! $3500!! I called multiple certified Chevrolet dealers all around the same area (Riverside, Lake Elsinore, Temecula)... their response... "there's no way it should cost $3500 with labor". All of these shops had a quote of $1000-$1300 including labor. This is ridiculous! I tried to explain to Lisa that these other quotes are all from certified dealers and there must be something wrong with my quote. The response I got was that "oh they may have other labor rates". Which is possible to have different rates but not $2300 worth. I will NEVER be coming back here. read more

Brought my truck in at 8:30 this morning to have them do the recall work needed. Came back at 5 pm and was told they couldn't get to it today and wanted the truck overnight. I bought my truck one year ago this month. It's my first time at their service center. Took the day off from work to get this done, plus had to pay for my own Uber. That was one expensive day for me to get just a tire rotation done (which really wasn't needed). So, I guess I now see all these negative reviews are accurate. Think twice. Believe the reviews. If you deal or delt with this dealership before beware!!!!moss brothers is a shady company!!!!!I took my car for service on a problem that they created they said the part was on back order and that there is no eta on when I can get rhe car repaired so I have 2 options Pay for a rental out of pocket for damage they created or pick up your vehicle.i chose option 2 50 miles down the road my tire falls off my car lugz spit off is sequence Well I called moss brothers to inform them.david lam had no empathy while he continued to stuff his face saying Damm that sucks well my guys here at chevy didn't do it.if you can get the car back will Try and help u out with as much as possible.well I was upset seen someone else posted a negative review on moreno valley matters so i threw in my 10 cents well moss caught wind of my post and demanded me to collet my vehicle amd they will not preform or fix anythin on my csr again so now my fender is damaged my door and side skirt....I'm left with the damage to fix so fuck that place!!also all these positive reviews are from fake profiles,family members and staff every employee i know says stay away from the service or Service at your own risk!!!! read more

I lived in Moreno Valley back in day 2003 this dealership grown so much I remember like it was yesterday. I bought several cars and gone through service many times but today I had a great experience with Elizabeth in Service that helped with the whole process from when I had called early in the morning at 8am she got me in told me leave my Silverado for an oil change on a Saturday which I had no problem hey it's the weekend then I walked through the sales department they greeted me with welcoming smile. This place a good dealership has a lot of history with knowing there is always gonna be change of management or even ownership so my point is when arriving to this or any dealership don't be in hurry be patient and treat others lie you want to be treated no one is perfect in this world only God is. So completely disappointed took my truck seven days ago to get looked at for overheating. Day goes by day goes by finally I get a call after five days. They had misplaced my keys for two days and could not even look at my truck so finally they tell me it's gonna be $2500. I contacted another Repair Shop and they will do the same repairs for under $1000 go to pick up my truck and it cost me $250 for them to just look at it. This is so unbelievable.
