Just got off the phone with the service department. My issue was simple. We got our oil changed at an oil change shop and not this dealership where we bought the car. Unfortunately, the computer wasn't reset and every time the car starts it dings and still shows that an oil change is due. So I called Moss service dept for a quick resolution. THEY COULDNT/WOULDNT help me. The service manager turned into a recorded disclaimer regarding law suits and a lot of unhelpful sentences. I asked for her boss and she told me she was the boss. I asked for her boss and again she said she was the boss. Obviously hesitant to move this call along as requested. Finally I was transferred to someone who said he was the boss. His first sentence was "...see your problem is...". I was looking for a solution not a description of my "problem". Before I spoke he had already called me an angry customer. Before I said a word to him. I can only imagine the call transfer included the heads up "angry customer" on the line which I wasn't. Ultimately he said he couldn't help me. What prompted this review in the hope that they can learn a new approach. Stop telling customers what you can't do. Stop transferring calls so the client can hear what you can't do twice. I know my problem is not unique and a better attitude from the service department would have told my options beyond "check the internet". I thought the call was routine but ended up with both my wife and I vowing to never go back for service unless it was required to maintain the warranty or resolve one of the frequent recalls. When you sit around after hours complaining about horrible customers and how business has fallen off, it ain't always about the economy. Sometimes it's toxic personalities chasing the customers away.

Moss Bros Volkswagen Moreno Valley I called to discuss the issue of horrible customer experience. Never received a response or call back.

I believe in second chances. I talked to the service department once again and they blatantly stated we will not work on the 4 Volkswagens that you bought brand new from us and we have asked you to go to another place for service. Wow! How cowardly! I received a response from Glenn L. Moss that was actually written by Nick Hassan asking me to call them. I did call again with no response. Nick Hassan was actually the finance manager that did not want us to refinance through Volkswagen of America Credit in 2020 when we bought our car after our lease was up but through a credit card company (Bank) that wanted to charge us almost 15% when Volkswagen Credit had a deal of 2.9%. Refinancing. Something is very dishonest about this. 1. Why would Moss Bros Volkswagen Moreno Valley and Nick Hassan not take the 2.9% interest for themselves? 2. Nick Hassan was with Dodge at the time and now he is with Toyota. So why is he even in this conversation? Anyway, Again - I tried calling again (twice) with absolutely no response or return of a call. It turns out there are a plethora of repairs that are under warranty. They do not want to preform them because they need to repair and replace the parts for free. I get that they need to make a profit, but have some integrity and stand by your product! What I did receive was an incredibly smug and sarcastic reply to my 1 Star review on Yelp. It is actually a joke. (See screenshot in my pictures) and I invite anyone to call Moss Bros. of Moreno Valley Volkswagen and listen to their phrase "At Moss Your the Boss!" It should be "At Moss We Will Treat You Like Trash!" Again please look at the screenshot of the sarcastic and smug response from Nick Hassan who is not even remotely with Volkswagen who responded. What horrible and base people. That goes for you too Yvette and Steve in the service department. How the hell do you sleep at night or look yourselves in the mirror? If I am not responded to I believe I will write a letter to the Attorney General's Office and tell them about the financing of our lease when we bought the Volkswagen and about the refusal to work on the Volkswagens we bought from their dealership.

Louis called next day they had found me a Pearl White with Black top and trim fully loaded. It was in Los Angeles and they were sending someone to go get new car and bring back to Moss. So we went over to do paperwork and wait for delivery. Poor driver had Friday traffic so delivery was late. They delivered the car after checking it out and cleaning up. I wanted an estimate of the total costs before proceeding because it wouldn't be too hard for us to change the batteries ourselves. But we would still have to take the car back for the updates. So we needed to see if it was worth doing it ourselves. Never, have I had such a hard time getting an estimate that broke down each costs. I asked multiple times over the phone and via email. I've attached a screenshot of the last email. Even spoke to a supervisor because I wasn't receiving the full estimate. I asked for, "an estimate for the total costs. Each charge itemized." Over the phone. If you've ever taken a car to the dealer, you pay a diagnostic fee per issue they look into. That will go towards the repairs IF you have them done at the dealership. Now, I thought I had already paid those, which should have been clear from the email and the multiple times I mentioned it. Not once did anyone correct me. I also had forgotten that I agreed to the brake fluid being changed, so that was an additional charge that would be part of the total. Not once did anyone mention that as I asked for my TOTAL CHARGES. I was quoted a little over 1300 each time and the only things noted were the two batteries and labor. I gave up on getting the full itemized estimate (at the time I thought the only thing missing was the charge for the updates and deduction for the diagnostic fees) and agreed to have the work done. Honestly, just kind of gave up as it has been a week without my car. Dealership is about 30mins from us. We go to pick up my car and the total is 1600+. We ask where the additional $300 came from. It's the brake fluid that I forgot about and a 3% charge to use a credit card that came out to about $50. I asked why the brake fluid wasn't part of my estimate. Rather than apologize, the supervisor argued that I had asked for an estimate of the work being done. And the fluid had already been changed. Not once did I ask for an estimate on only the work that hadn't been done. Each and every time I asked for an estimate on the total costs. It was ridiculous that a supervisor wouldn't just say sorry, I misunderstood. Any other mechanic or dealership I've gone to has always provided a break down of the TOTAL. And that 3% charge is something that should be mentioned over the phone so you can bring an alternative payment option if you have one. Just really poor communication and very poor customer skills from the supervisor. I wasn't arguing price, I wasn't arguing that I had already approved the break fluid. I just wanted a breakdown of the total costs. We've come to this location a few times for multiple cars and will definitely not be returning. Even the poor gentleman who was assisting us to make the payment seemed off put by what we hadn't been told and the supervisors answer when I asked why the $300 wasn't part of the total charges when I asked for it.

Over the years, I've spent a significant amount of money because I've trusted this shop with my vehicle. During my most recent visit for an oil change and transmission flush, I noticed my check engine light was on, so I asked if they could diagnose the issue. I was told it would cost $250 for the diagnostic, although that fee would be applied toward the repair if I chose to have the work done there. As a long-time, loyal customer, I was hoping there might be some kind of courtesy or discount just to determine what the issue was. While I understand diagnostic work has value, it would be nice if Moss Bros. offered more appreciation for customers who have been coming back for years. I do want to mention that the gentleman who helped me was polite, professional, and provided excellent customer service. My concern isn't with the staff--it's with the company's customer loyalty policies. I hope Moss Bros. considers finding more ways to recognize and reward long-time customers.

A customer should be allowed to review a major financial commitment without being insulted or pressured. I liked the vehicle and was seriously considering buying it. I just needed some time to think more on making the financial decision. However, I will not return to a dealership where a finance manager believes it is acceptable to curse at and verbally attack a customer for declining to sign immediately. Throughout the entire process, communication was extremely poor. I rarely received updates unless I repeatedly called the service department myself, sometimes 10 times a day, just to get someone to answer the phone. My service advisor was Andy, and every time I called, I was told he was somehow on a "2 hour lunch." Even after leaving multiple messages with my name and number, I almost never received a callback. The information I was being told by the dealership also constantly conflicted with what my warranty company was telling me. Andy repeatedly claimed my warranty company was refusing things or causing delays, but when I contacted my warranty directly, I was informed that the dealership was attempting to bill for charges or work that either was not approved or had not actually been completed. My warranty company specifically advised me that the dealership appeared to be attempting to double-charge or add unsupported labor costs. My warranty company even emailed me proof of the double charge. At one point, I was told I would need to pay an additional $300-$400 out of pocket for "labor" because supposedly my warranty would not cover it. When I asked for a clear explanation, nobody could properly explain why. The service manager simply stated that the warranty "wasn't paying them enough," which is not an acceptable explanation to charge a customer additional fees. The delays continued when it took several more days just to order my engine. Andy later promised my vehicle would be completed by the following Thursday. I explained to him multiple times that my rental coverage only lasted 5 days. Six days before my vehicle was finally completed, Andy called me and stated that "something else happened" with my vehicle and that it would take another 6 days to finish. He specifically told me the dealership would place me into a rental vehicle due to the inconvenience and also stated I would no longer have to pay the additional $300-$400 because of everything that had happened. After weeks of delays, lack of communication, conflicting information, and inconvenience, I finally picked up my vehicle yesterday around 2:30 PM, paid my warranty deductible, and left believing the matter was resolved. Today, I then received a phone call from Andy asking why I "didn't tell him" I already had a rental vehicle. I reminded him that I absolutely did tell him and had multiple conversations with him about my rental situation. Mind you he has been the one speaking to my warranty this past month and knows my warranty only allows 5 day rental!! He then told me I now needed to come back and pay for the additional 6-day rental. When I questioned how that made sense after what I had been told, he responded by saying, "Okay, we'll just take you to court," and then hung up on me. I immediately called and asked to speak with the service manager regarding both Andy's behavior and the overall handling of my vehicle. The service manager showed no concern or professionalism regarding the situation and simply told me he would "look into it" and call me back later. This has honestly been one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever dealt with. The lack of communication, inconsistent information, unexplained charges, delays, and unprofessional behavior were completely unacceptable. I would never bring my vehicle back here again, and I would strongly caution others before trusting this dealership with their vehicle or warranty repairs.

Once we declined the extended warranty, Dayan suddenly "had to work on something" and brought in Ryan. Ryan continued to push the extended warranty and "free oil changes for life." In hindsight, the sales team tried to groom me to answer "10, No, No" on the survey, which means it wouldn't ask anymore questions about my experience. Since I didn't rate the dealership a 10, the salesman Arthur texted me an hour after I did the survey and proceeded to guilt trip me, telling me that he doesn't get his bonus because I only scored an 8/10 on my experience. That's not my problem. He said if I had just told him before I drove off.... but I didn't know I had been lied to until I got home that night. Despite finding the perfect version/trim/color of the car I wanted, it's very disappointing that they deceive customers like this to upsell their services. My friend bought a Kia from this dealer last year and was told the same thing about the oil changes. I would not recommend this dealership, and I will get my next Kia from someone else.

So I made an appointment and upon my arrival the guy who "help" me out was charging me for a oil change instead of checking the system first he assumed I was going to pay. But then he said their system was down and couldn't check. This wasn't my first issue with this place I just got fed up with the Service Department.

This is ridiculous. Will never buy a Volkswagen again and will never purchase a vehicle from Moss Bros again.
