Dulce de leche flan. It was unreal - so delicious!
    Sandra S.

Really delicious food. Fresh ingredients. It's self service like you pay and sit where you want. The plates and cutlery are disposable. You do not need to be a guest at the hotel to eat there. The staff is so sweet and unpretentious. They have a vegetarian plate we wanted to try but missed lunch. Dinner was worth it - but I wish they cooked the pizza on a fire. It's good but not as delicious as some of their other food. Don't forget to use their olive oil. Yum! The sauce for the empanada - I wish I took a pic of what it's called because I could drink it. So fresh and full of flavor. The best thing we had was the flan. It was incredible - like flan and creme brûlée had a baby.

Ordered from here because it was a convenient on site cafe within the hotel. Food was good but overpriced with small portions as well.

Its right on the corner of Chaoel and Olive. We walked from our hotel, so parking was not an issue for us. The minute we walked in, we loved the place. We were warmy greeted and the hostess said she recognized my handsome dining partner. Well, come to find out, the hostess is the partner in this wonderful restaurant with Chef Roland. We met them both before as we had frequented a Norwalk restaurant run by them that we loved and that sadly closed down sometime ago. They opened this spot in New Haven about 1 year ago. Lovely European vibe to the whole setting and menu. Open kitchen. Delicous offerings. We ordered the eggs Benedict with a croissant in place of the English Muffin. I was so happy they were able to accomodate this request. Also a full legitimate English Breakfast! Amazing. A moctail and a pot of loose leaf black tea. All was outstanding! Outstanding! The service was top notch and we never felt rushed. They have daily themed specials in addition to their regular menu offerings. Beatiful bar area. We are so happy to have found them and will be returning often! We highly recommend!

Onto my meal, I got the filet taco, boom shrimp taco, and the hot honey chicken. They were all so delicious and yummy, I can tell they took their time creating each taco into a masterpiece. I loved the boom shrimp the most, then the hot honey, and then the filet taco the least, but all of these were so delicious I loved it! The boom shrimp is a delicious trip into the savory tastes of shrimp and the sea. I loved the addition of tomatoes, fresh lettuce, and avocados, drizzled in ranch. The filet taco is a great feast of filet steak and crispy crunchy onions. Lastly the hot honey chicken was great with purple lettuce, corn, pickles, and more fresh delicious veggies. I loved all the tacos so much and if I come back to the area I'd definitely come back, a must go to! Service/ambiance: First off the waiters came to us quickly with a nice refreshing water pitcher with lemons. It was a nice day out but not too hot, inside was nice and cool with the ac but not too cold, a nice balance. Not too loud of a place but nice and chill with a light speaker with music playing in the background. This in my opinion is a huge upgrade to the last location in Northport, this is much bigger and it looks cleaner. Something that stood out to me was that there was no men's sign on the bathroom, but there was on the ladies. I don't know if they're discriminated or something, but that was something, but besides that the bathrooms were very squeaky clean.

From the moment we walked in, Jaime, who was working behind the bar, made us feel genuinely welcome. He was kind, personable, and attentive in a way that's becoming increasingly rare. He even brewed fresh iced tea from scratch with tea bags and hot water while we waited. It's the little things that leave a lasting impression. And somehow, even the club soda tasted exceptional; maybe because everything about the atmosphere felt intentional and welcoming. I ordered the burger, and although they were out of gluten-free buns, they happily served it over their gluten-free penne pasta instead. It was such a thoughtful accommodation. Ironically, because my day in pharmaceutical sales became so busy, I never had a chance to eat my lunch. I brought it home, reheated it that evening, and that's when something unexpected happened. The very first bite of their homemade sauce stopped me in my tracks. Instantly, I was transported back to my grandfather's kitchen. I haven't tasted a sauce that reminded me of his in over 15 years. For a moment, I wasn't sitting at my own table; I was back with him. I found myself slowing down, savoring every bite, grateful for a memory I didn't know a meal could bring back. Great restaurants don't just serve food. They create experiences, care for people, and sometimes awaken memories you thought were gone forever. Thank you, Jaime, and thank you to everyone at Ritrovo. You turned an ordinary workday into something I'll remember for a very long time. I'll absolutely be back.

Smaller establishment with 7 tables to choose from. Has dedicated parking lot off the street to use and handicap ramp to use for access if needed. Plenty to choose from on the menu for dine in or take out and halal as well. Staff is very friendly and able to answer any questions needed on the menu or for the specials of the day as they rotate. I can't wait to come back and try some other dishes! I had Kebah, labneh, fahsa with fresh tanoor bread and a pistachio cake to finish off the meal. Oh don't forget the juices available either!! The mint lemon looked refreshing, but I settled on the avocado banana that was amazing! Great flavor profile and the tanoor bread reminded me of time spent abroad enjoying these items in country! I have read good reviews about the place and it is unique in that it is Yemeni/Mediterranean. I did take out and chose the following: Okra Stew, Chicken Shawarma Over Rice Platter, and a slice of the Pistachio cake. The Okra Stew was very flavorful. I do not eat okra but my husband does, yet I tried the sauce and it was really tasty. I ended up eating a few pieces of the potatoes and carrots in the stew, just to enjoy the sauce. The Chicken Shawarma was okay--not my best order. The chicken is not dry yet the rice was very greasy for my taste. Every spoonful, I could taste the grease. It was not for me. The pistachio cake is delicate and scrumptious. Not too sweet. I might go back and try another dish but would make sure to ask that the rice not be greasy.
