I was craving good middle eastern stew so went there for the Moroccan Fish. It didn't disappoint! The fish was flaky, the tomato sauce was spicy and the side green pepper was a perfect complement, The bread was so good I had to actively stop eating it and dipping it in the sauce. I'd totally get it again. Service was efficient. It's in the top floor of the mall so may patrons had shopping bags and had a casual feel.
Visited the brickell location and it did not disappoint!! We went for lunch and I got the chicken shawarma bowl, it was so good!! The chicken is so flavorful and I love the veggies that it comes with!!! Overall 10/10 food choice!! Our server was very nice and attentive and we had a good meal here!
Went here for their happy hours but missed it, they changed to new hours. Still got the hummus and falafel to share, and a beer. We sat at outdoor, it's mid March, it's pretty cool and not hot. Our Serbian server/ manager (didn't get his name), is very friendly and welcoming. Both hummus, the bread that comes with it and the falafel are all delicious. Solid 8/10. I feel like this is a great spot for vegetarians because their vegetarian dishes are so flavourful already. Looking forward to try their meat dishes next time, the bread is really good, love the texture and the right amount of burnt/ grill?
Food so good I forgot to take pictures. I will never say a bad thing about Motek - the vibe is so cute, the food is exceptional and I always have great service. My friend and I tried to grab a seat for happy hour but weren't able to (it's only star bar and high tops) but we opted to come back a few hours later for a full meal. I will never not order the traditional hummus and pita. This time, we also tried the Moroccan cigars and crispy pita. Previously, I also love the cabbage salad, any of their flatbreads and the the other dips/spreads they have. YUM. I will definitely be back!
Mediterranean@ Brickell City center, Miami The restaurant was very large with a nice vibe with indoor and outdoor seatings. We were able to get in without reservation for Thursday nite dinner. The hostess and our server were friendly. All the dishes we ordered tasted really delicious! The babaganoush tasted great with hot grilled pita bread. The fennel pomegranate salad was tasty with feta cheese. Enjoyed middle eastern dumplings with the white sauce and crispy cauliflower was sweet and savory. The Turkish lamb kebab was cooked just right with a grilled vegetables. The award winning arayes burger was very unique. We initially had to ask for the plates to be changed but after that they paid more attention to us. 20% service charge was automatically included. We enjoyed our dinner very much.
I came here today to quality control the menu for an upcoming high end dinner I am planning. I was very impressed with the amazing service and attention that my server Ilyan provided me with. I ordered the Za'atar Greek salad that was phenomenal. The vegetables were so fresh and the salad dressing was super tasty! The presentation was very appealing to the eye. Last but not least the ambiance was exceptionally beautiful! I will be back very soon to enjoy a nice dinner here!
We found this place by accident and it was a wonderful experience. The vibe is pretty and chill. The inside is amazing and very photo friendly, the service was great and the food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend! We got the chicken Shawarma sandwich, and the chicken Shawarma plate with some fries and a fennel pomegranate salad. The Chicken Shawarma plate was really good and in my opinion, definitely worth it. The bite was rich, but not overly so the greens were deliciously salted/seasoned. It had some kind of sauce on them. The chicken had a little bit of heat and a hint of smoke. The Fennel pomegranate salad I wasn't a huge fan of. The orange pieces in the salad were good, had just a hint of spiciness of some kind and was not overly sweet but I think next time I would get a different salad instead. They have indoor and outdoor seating so if you want, you could sit outdoors and people watch. We chose to sit indoors and face out the windows because the sun was blasting us and we wanted the AC.
Such a cute location in brickell city center with indoor, outdoor, and bar seating. Happy hour only applies to the bar or high tops which we weren't aware but we still went for lunch and had a great meal. The service was fast and food came out fresh, hot, and hot. The hummus was creamy and delicious. The basket of lollipops were spicy yet tender. The crispy eggplant was a great addition. The spicy mescal margarita was refreshing. Overall, great choice for lunch.
The hostess at Motek was very friendly and took us to our table as soon as we checked in. Seconds after sitting down the waiter came with menus and filled up our glasses with water. I really loved the ambiance of Motek. My group was seated close to the kitchen window so it was fun to see the orders come out and watch the chefs prepare the food. There were a lot of food options and since I went with a big group we were able to try many options. The fried eggplant appetizer was definitely my favorite. It was super crispy on the outside and it came with really good tzatziki. The red bell pepper with feta dip was also very tasty and went well with the pita. The salmon skewers were also cooked perfectly. They were crispy on the outside but also melt in your mouth on the inside. I only tried the ribeye as my main and it was cooked perfectly. The salt on the side and the chimichurri were a nice addition to the dish.
I really like Motek, it's a beautiful restaurant but being in the city center creates a little bit of chaos. It's a lot going on around you but the actual restaurant is really nice. The Halloumi Dates and cheese really explored a different taste pallet giving an explosion of unique flavors in every bite. I had the lamb shawarma plate and it was great, I tried the Arayes burger which was really good and didn't disappoint. My co worker had the Waygu burger which he said was really good. All in all it's a great spot, I would rather the regular restaurants that aren't in the mall because it feels almost like a food court and I don't think Motek and food court go together. Highly recommend giving them a try....
After walking this massive mall, I was starving. Motek was on my radar, so we made our way to top floor for some much needed lunch. Upon our arrival, we saw that it was happy hour. They had a $5 dollar menu that was just right to try a few dishes. We ordered quite a bit. It came out pretty quickly and was just the amount of bites needed to get me going for the walk back to the hotel. The highlights for me were the pastrami flat bread and the chicken wrap. Both were very very good. I would definitely go again.
This place always does a fantastic job. The food is so incrediubly homemade and fresh. Paired with the decor of the restaurant, I truly feel like I'm out of the country on holiday visiting another country in the mediterranean. The bar is located in the Brickell City Centre and marvelously designed and decorated. The hanging plants and lights add a special touch to an already great restaurant that delivers when it comes to the foods and beverages. The bar is huge and widely available for many guests during the day and evening. The server staff and bussers also appear very knowledgeable about their food and culture as well. Management has been noticed stopping by tables and enduring guests' satisfaction which, as a former restaurant employee, I really appreciate. The best is the Lamb Shawarma hands down. It pairs with a delicious tahini sauce and huge green pepper you can bite for added spice. The portion is plentiful, and I highly recommend on your next visit.
I used to really love motek but sadly I just didn't feel the quality and the price point aligned on my most recent visit. A pita and a shakshuka cost $65 (incl mandatory 20% service charge). At this price for what we ordered, I expect the quality to be outstanding but found it to be mixed. Motek always does shakshukas well and their hummus one was no exception. Quite tasty. The pita was pretty disappointing. Very little goat cheese and the artichokes had a weird taste to them. I did quite enjoy the bread itself though. Our server was good and the ambiance is nice. I will perhaps return for happy hour, but probably not for a proper meal.

Prefer the one in South Beach as this one is on the 4th floor, little annoying to get to and makes it feel like a cheap chain. Majority of the seating is "outdoor" so it gets warm with no breeze because its essentially in the atrium of the mall. Waiter rushed us and we had to ask if there were any specials- guess he forgot it in his schpiel? Although he was good at detailing what might be too filling, too much as we ordered for the group. Bread is amazing, everything else is not noteworthy. Lastly, they dont validate your parking - which is nuts because we were a group of 5, granted we had two separate bills, but spent oveer $250 and they cant validate just one parking spot? read more

The greatest dining experience so far in Miami! MOTEK is an absolutely beautiful Israeli-Mediterranean inspired restaurant located in Downtown Miami inside the Brickell City Centre. Upon arrival, the restaurant is located on the 4th floor of the mall but impossible to miss as the signage is visible from street level. I love the open air concept of malls inside Miami as you don't feel claustrophobic or locked inside as you would anywhere else since it's all outside. All of the other adjacent restaurants are also located on the 4th floor. Made a reservation for dinner on Saturday night and was seated immediately. The restaurant is also very spacious, which is another thing I love about Miami because the area makes it more comfortable for the dine in experience and you don't feel like you're sitting on top of the other table! The servers were also extremely attentive and the manager also came and greeted us to make sure everything was smooth sailing. Ordered a cocktail, and the drinks are phenomenal! Very strong and delicious. The vibe and ambiance of the restaurant is also gorgeous, with mediterranean accents all throughout. We ordered the mezze appetizer, the steak with fries, the halibut, and kebabs. The food arrived fresh and everything was curated wonderfully. The steak is actually marinated in olive oil so it was tender and cooked perfectly. The portion sizes are also great to share with someone and you get a great value for your money here. I was surprised seeing this, as coming from New York the portions are laughable! We were pretty full on the apps by the time the mains came out but I really thoroughly enjoyed my experience here and would absolutely be coming back! I went for Miami spice lunch after wanting to try this place for a while. I have heard mixed reviews and I can see why. The decor is beautiful. I love the florals and bar area for sure! However the food was average. For the price I dont personally feel its worth it. Its tasty and fresh enough but nothing too impressive. Lots of other similar food places much more casual have better food. Also my appetizer came with lots of hummus but a tinnnyy pita bread. I did love that bread though. I plan to come back as they have a happy hour menu that looks more reasonable in terms of cost. read more

Mediocre at Best - 2 to 3 Stars This place was underwhelming. The "Turkish pita" should honestly be renamed "Italian pita"--it tasted more like Bolognese sauce than anything remotely Turkish. Most of the dishes felt like low-effort, low-ingredient mall food--bland and forgettable. Service was just okay, nothing to write home about. Wouldn't go out of my way to return. read more

What a phenomenal restaurant at brickell city center. This was our first visit and we can't wait to go back. The staff were so friendly and super knowledgeable. Some hits, some definite misses. The bread was delicious -- I really loved the touch of black seeds. The tzatziki was also really good. We ordered the "Belly Dancer" drink, which was fun, but super sugary -- and just a heads-up, it's not a real matcha drink, just a drizzle of matcha on top. Probably wouldn't order it again. The fennel and pomegranate salad was tasty, and that was another highlight. As for the rest: the baba ghanoush was way too smoky, borderline bitter. The staff did take it off our bill. The tuna tartar tasted like really poor-quality fish, and the rose lavender latte was overwhelmingly sweet. We also got the halloumi, which I wouldn't order again -- the cheese quality just wasn't there. The staff was nice, and the vibe of the place was great, but overall the food was very hit or miss. read more

Beautifully setup with open indoor and outdoor seating. Eye catching bar. Feels safe as it's at the top center of the mall. It wasn't too crowded, which was good for me but perhaps not the best for the restaurant (Monday night). Food was a bit hit or miss. I enjoyed the honey cauliflower starter. They had an off menu falafel dish that had a great salad. My main chicken kebob was mediocre. I didn't feel the used great cuts of meat. Flavors were ok. It didn't really come with sides. You're paying a bit for the space here, but I think the value falls short per the food quality. You'll get some decent flavors, but I can't say this is the best Mediterranean fare around. This place is beautiful. The hostess was nice and sat us outside. Our server was just okay. The music was so loud we couldn't communicate with him or each other much. We ordered Hummus and Pita 7/10. Great service, everything came out super quick which was good and bad. Our table was really small so it got crowded quickly as our dishes came out (and i couldn't take a picture of every dish as we were mid eating lol). I appreciated not having to wait very long, however, especially with how busy it was. Definitely a popular spot as evidenced by the full house. Only complaint about the ambiance would be that the music was a bit too loud to converse at a regular level. Food was good, not the most authentic or memorable, but good nonetheless. We got the mushroom hummus with pita, middle eastern dumplings, summer salad, and crispy cauliflower. We also got the guns n' roses cocktail, which was great. I have tried the Coral Gables location, but service and quality is just as great in Brickell! Went during lunch time and sat at the bar, and our server Maria was very attentive. Ordered the Nana Swizz as my drink and it was basically mojito with delicious blossom twist to it. The hummus is a must and comes with Lafa (warmest and most delicious one I've tried...open to try recommendations). Entree we got the falafel sandwich and the Jerusalem grilled cheese. Christmas night celebration with the offspring was elevated, snacking and drinking here. The babaganoush was so good we ordered it twice. Can you tell I'm excited about it. Seriously, nothing better than a simple old world classic leveled up with quality execution and service. The sprinkle of pomegranate seeds and fresh baked pita made it bullet proof. We sampled the crispy artichoke and some flat breads, along with several craft cocktails. Everything was spot on and seemed to be prepared with love and attention to detail. Loved the ambiance of this place! Came here with my friend before heading to NYE festivities in the area and it did not disappoint. The Guns and Roses gin cocktail that I ordered was easily my favorite cocktail of the year. It tasted like amaretto, which I personally love the taste of. My friend ordered the old fashioned and was pleased with it. We had the babaganoush with pita, which was delicious. I'd never tried halloumi cheese until eating here - it was good but I'm not a big fan of the consistency and saltiness of it; if you like this kind of cheese though, I'm sure it's perfection. We also had the chicken shawarma, which came atop pita and was a 10/10. Our server checked in on us several times amid a very busy night for them. Ive been wanting to try Motek for a while and it opened in my neighborhood so I haaad to go! The place is really nice overall. There is patio seating if you want to people watch and a stunning indoor area with an exclusive room that i believe you can book for birthdays or larger dinners. The service was decent, drinks were good and food was amazing! We ordered a few mezzes and plates to share and everything was delicious. The table's favorites were Falafel + Lamb and Chicken kebabs. A few little details that I noticed and was not expecting; plates are kind of a plastic material, there was no linen napkins (just paper) and no coasters so the table gets super wet. I understand it's supposed to be a more casual restaurant, but since the place looks REALLY nice, i think the tableware could be improved to match the vibe. Overall, great restaurant. We cane here to celebrate Valentines Day with our parents, and it was an amazing experience! We ordered multiple plates to share and try a bit of everything. The mushroom hummus was soo good, and it came with complimentary pita bread. And if you're into spicy fish dishes, the Moroccan Fish was delicious (my fav of the night). All the food tasted fresh and amazing. Only thing is, the portion sizes are a little on the small side. The service was spectacular! Everyone was super attentive and the food came out extremely fast. And the inside is beautiful; there are trees decorating the insides, plenty of seating, and it was such a nice vibe. And since it was Valentines Day, they gave us roses! Adorable!! read more
Motek was not the most impressive restaurant I've been to. Especially for Mediterranean food. However, their service was great! These are a few items I got: 1. Crispy Eggplant which was one of the best items we got. Definitely would rate 4/5. The crunch and flavor were great! 2. Hummus Tehina: Not impressed by their hummus, I have had better more authentic hummus in Michigan. Would rate 2.8/5. 3. Spain Pita: This was pretty yummy and the consistency of the pita was great. This was my second time at this location for happy hour, and it did not disappoint. I will say that although the happy hour menu states wines and beers they do provide half off on signature cocktails, and classic cocktails. That would be the new update in the menu, I just went in. The new update was not on the menu however, when you first walk into the restaurant, there is a menu with the happy hour. This is the third Motek I've visited this month (first in NY, second in South Beach, and now in Brickell) and each time has been a great experience. Motek has been on my foodie radar awhile, but I wasn't aware they had a location in Brickell. We had stopped off for an early dinner at River Oyster on New Year's Day, only to find out they don't serve dinner until 6pm. They did serve happy hour though so after cocktails and a few small bites, we knew we needed some real food to soak up the booze. Conveniently, right across the street was Brickell City Centre. We had tacos on our radar but when I got up to the level the Mexican place was on, I spied Motek. It was a sign from the food gods! Overall if I'm being honest, I did not love LOVE the meal here. But I think that was more of short-sightedness on our part, and not Motek. I wanted to try the fried cauliflower, my man wanted the zucchini latkes and the falafel, so that ended up being a lot of fried, fried, and more fried. Bad move. Each dish was technically very well balanced, but we really could have done with more variety. On to a breakdown of the food. 1. Pita I think who ever makes the pita sold their soul the devil. It's like nothing I've ever had. So fluffy and delicate, like a giant pillow from made of hopes and dreams and a little char to keep you grounded. It was so beautiful I could have cried. 2. Hummus Roasted Eggplant The hummus was really interesting. It had a poached egg, but was deep fried...so Idk if that's really something you can call poached. The hummus was unique though, and unbelievably creamy. Definitely some witchcraft happening there. I dig it. The eggplant topping was cooked to perfection. 3.) Crispy Cauliflower This was actually my least favorite thing out of what we ordered. It was just a bit too sweet for me, but that could be because my body has been detoxing from a diet of sugary crack from the holidays and it has just had enough. 4.) Zucchini latkes These were pretty tasty, but like the fried cauliflower, there was too much sweetness happening for my taste. Thankfully it was just in the labneh, and the menu does mention it. I just avoided it so no biggie. The latkes by themselves were quite good though - crisp and flavorful for days! 5.) Falafel This was a very petite portion but as I was all fried out, it was perfect. I loved the fried eggplant served on top. It was like butter on the tongue! While I wasn't sold on all of the food, the service was attentive and fast, and the server noted that gratuity was included. Most servers won't tell you and will just bank on you tipping double unknowingly. While not in any particular hurry, I would return again in the future. I think this could be a fun place for happy hour with a group where we can try a variety of hot and cold mezzes. Or perhaps a dinner for date night where the entrees get to stand out. read more

I'm generally a fan of Motek. I find that the food is always good, and always fresh. I hadn't been to the Brickell location before this past Monday when I visited for lunch with a colleague. The Brickell Motek may just be the prettiest yet. It's so pretty I posted a picture of it. When we arrived around noon the restaurant wasn't busy and I noticed there were several servers standing around waiting for patrons. My friend and I were seated immediately and we were starving so we started with the hummus tehina which was excellent. The pita bread is to die for. I then had the cabbage salad with roasted salmon and my friend took my recommendation and ordered the Arayes burger with a salad. The food was all perfect. At one point, I realized I needed more dressing and was having trouble finding our server. So, I asked one of the ones that was standing around doing nothing if he would please get me more dressing. Instead of getting the dressing himself, he waited for our server to reappear and then told her to go get it (I could have done that myself). Our server was clearly busy and he was not, so it was frustrating to see that instead of giving her a hand, he opted instead to continue to stand around doing nothing.
