I made a reservation through www.motel6.com for a queen bed with a micro-fridge for $54.99 (after taxes). I get there, and they charge me $59.39 for the same rate. After some back and forth, the staff refused to budge. I needed a fridge for the night, so I opted to take it. Yes, it's only $4 and some change, but the point is: WHAT IS THE POINT of making a reservation, being told what you're going to get charged, and then paying a different amount when you arrive? I wish there were a way to leave a negative number of stars. We showed up at 1am after a 7 hour drive and were given room 235 where the toilet didn't flush and the bathroom fan didn't work. We called the office and they moved us to room 234 which had clearly not been cleaned. There was a bunch of hair and black stuff on the sheets, mold in the shower, and the toilet was disgusting. I will not be staying at another Motel 6 because of this experience...ever. I guess that's what you get when you try to go cheap. read more

Stayed here on a holiday weekend because nothing else was available. We had a queen room, about 12' X 15'. There was one long counter, a table and 2 chairs, and the bed. Bath and room were clean. No hair dryer, no coffee maker. There was a room next to the office that had a washer and dryer, ice machine, and some vending machines. If you don't mind only the absolute basics in a motel room, this was adequate. Staff was nice, helpful. read more

This place has maids that are thieves! Beware!! I left my tablet in the room under the pillow. They stole it and said they never saw it. Lisa the Front Desk lady instantly jumps to the defense of the Maid and says "Our maids are very trustworthy." I think not, but obviously you all don't pay very well, because Chasity my housekeeper, obviously NEEDS a tablet. The showers are disgusting. And they had a dried bug inside of my cup that was wrapped in plastic and the plastic had holes in it! Worst Motel 6 experience I have ever had. I was only thee because they are pert friendly. We arrived after dark and the temp was still a bit warm outside last night. We opened the motel room and the heater was on high! It was so warm in the room it was unbearable. I turned the thermostat to cool high but it did not cool down much at all. I slept with a cool, wet towel. The heating / cooling system was awful. The upgrades in the Motel 6 are nice but the temperature needs to be able to be controlled better. Customer service at check out was bad. We needed a receipt so checked out personally in the morning. Small weird shower but it worked. Overall the room was clean. The worse things were the beds. First I thought they were old water beds that just needed more water, but no they just sank in the middle. You couldn't sit on the edge cause you'd fall backwards into the middle. I booked my room in this hotel for my family(me,my wife and kid) one week in advance and stayed there on 28th May. They first offered me a room where the toilet flush was broken.After reporting that front-desk told me that they are fully booked and only a smoking room with two beds.After shifting to that room found that bathroom sink is choked in that room. After that Front desk told me that they are unable to help and manager will call me.But that never happened I was forced to stay in the smoking room with my kid(as no room was available in the near by hotels) Overall this is worst hotel\motel ever I stayed who does not maintains their rooms and it seems that they do not change/maintain the beds/sheets properly I am not going back to this property anymore and will suggest to avoid if possible Wanted to give negative rating but as that is not possible so giving 1 star read more

The room was clean and quiet. The staff were fine die a 2 starr motel. There are laundry facilities and a pool. The shower was awful, I was specifically told lots of really hot water, but I got lots of slightly better than warm water. The biggest problem was the heat though. It wasn't on when we went into the room, so we turned it on. Without it on the room was quite cold, but with it on the temperature was "roast all the meat off my bones" hot. And there was no real way to adjust it. Front desk wasn't helpful, they just told us to turn it down. It was already as far down as it would go. Down just meant it pumped out slightly lower amounts of scalding hot air. We finally gave up and turned it off and then huddled under the blankets instead. read more

Recently stayed at this hotel after driving all day. It was filthy, towels were a joke, trash outside on sidewalks, refrigerator filthy. The toilet was so gross and disgusting with dark marks and stains. I have bites on my neck and legs so bed bugs are a problem also. I will never stay at this particular hotel again. Very dirty motel. Don't go barefoot.. Your feet will be black in seconds. The sink had black rings in it that when I wiped with a washcloth went away. Moldy toilets. The showers are similar to an rv shower. Somewhere around 2 am we heard a loud boom and our AC went out. It was really hot in room. If you're on a budget, this is the hotel! I only stayed one night, so no problem with me. Except there was a leak from the pipe under the sink. They already put a small bucket under the sink, but I wish they use a bigger one. The water was splashing on my foot. That's not that great. Other than that, the bed and pillows were comfy. The design is very Ikea's, I like it. The shower is quite small, but the pressure was awesome. I booked a queen with microwave and refrigerator, its probably $6 more, I think, which was worth it. It's hot there, you want to keep your drinks cold. I was on a budget, so I needed to make my own food. There's no coffee in the room. No shower cap, shampoo, no tissue box, but 2 pieces of soap. NO free wifi, you have to pay for a few bucks. Well, this is the cheapest hotel in the area, what do you expect? Overall, it was a clean room. The AC was perfect. I'd only been to a crack house once - until my stay at Motel 6 in Weed, Ca. last night - which makes twice. It is not for the faint of heart. The front desk people were great, but clearly management needs to crack down (no pun) on the clientele, and also on the cleaners (hair in unwashed bed, dirty floor, hair in shower, broken bathroom door, and dog excrement on sidewalks). This place has gone downhill since my stay in 2014. There are many other options in the same price range with good reviews just south on the interstate. read more

But based in the the phone call I received at 4AM, there is a prank caller in the area that called every room with some rude and vulgar script. The room was dirty and the bathroom was no better as soon as we walked in you could tell the floor hadn't been swept let alone mopped in decades and the bathroom floor looked disgusting we understand it's motel 6 and not the Ritz Carlton but as a known motel who advertises that they'll leave the lights on they can atleast be presentable. We stayed at this motel because we planned a last minute trip to Mt.Shasta and the price was decent but they should truly be ashamed of themselves we expected new towels to say the least or the bed made but they apparently don't even know how to do that. read more

Terrible! Worst nights sleep ever. Room was not clean when we arrived. They have roaches at this hotel.. Floor was dirty. Someones car alarm went off from 5:30 am to 9am. Many people left before sunrise. Parking lot was almost empty by the time we left. Everyone should of been refunded their money. They did nothing about this issue, nothing. They offered 15 bucks off our next stay there, which was hilarious and insulting. Why would I stay here again? It's already bad enough that it's filthy and stinks like it's never really cleaned well, but not getting a good night's sleep... like isn't that what the point of staying at a motel. Absolutely horrid. I had to leave once I saw the filthy, disgusting room, dirty sheets and pillows, and went back to the lobby to get my refund and stay at a different hotel! Chris denied me the refund and did not offer for the manager, Cynthia Calderon, to call me; instead, he suggested I call back on Sunday! No customer service that day, nor the next day or the next. Still waiting for someone to issue the requested refund. I expect someone with a professional attitude to remedy the situation promptly. I would recommend that you stay somewhere else if you have any other options. I made reservations here for a week because I was starting a new job, and hopping between air bnb's. It took me a month to find a local rental house. My impression is that they get a lot of troubled guests, drug addicts and so forth, which leads the staff to be extremely stressed and suspicious of all guests. The management treated me like I was some kind of a vagrant or criminal, for no reason at all. They wanted me to stay in a room with a door that would not lock, and they decided that my time was up a day early, and removed all of my stuff from my room while I was at work! I had a receipt showing that checkout was the following day. You don't want to see this hotel on a Saturday night, it looks like something out of an apocalyptic Sci Fi film. read more

You get what you pay for. We had to stop here unexpectedly because of a snowstorm near Mt. Shasta summit. This was the closest motel where we could reach safely without fearing anymore snow trouble. We paid $56 for the night, rested, showered and left next morning after putting a snow chain(There was a guy in the parking lot in the morning who put the chains for us for $30) . The TV was too small to watch but the room and the bathroom were clean. There is a Subway down the street in case you need food. Is this the best hotel you will ever stay at? No. Are you going to brag about it to your friends? No. It does however do the job if your standards aren't too high. We were looking for a place to crash because we were too tired to drive more. It was right off of i5 and cheap. Checkin was quick and easy. We asked for the quietest room possible. Not sure if she took us seriously or not. The room has quite possibly the smallest shower you will ever use. Like another reviewer said, there is soap but no shampoo. We had no problems with the ac, it cranked out a lot of cold air which was great with it being 90+ outside. The ac unit was ridiculously loud though, even at its quietest setting. About 1am there was screaming/yelling outside but someone came and broke it up pretty quick. If you're looking to stay at motel 6, you most likely know what you are getting yourself into. It was clean, cheap and felt like the Taj Mahal after driving up I5 during a snow shower at night while they had been working on the highway. The rooms are small but staff was friendly and they gladly let us keep our dogs in the room. Do NOT stay here. I have stayed here before and decided to stay again. Big mistake!! We checked in late so I am guessing that is why we got the room we did. The ceiling leaked the whole night so when I got up to use the bathroom, the floor in the room had a puddle. I mentioned it to reception when I went to get more towels as we had used them to mop up the water. Upon my return to the room we noticed several rodent droppings in the room/bathroom. There weren't too many but in my book one was enough. I think the worse part of all of this was when I would go to the desk to voice these things the employee laughed, BOTH times. So not only was the room crappy but so was the day clerk's attitude. I strongly suggest you keep driving and choose not to stop here. Definitely not even you to Motel 6 standards. read more

We were in need of lodging while evacuated from the Carr fire and these guys were great! They were friendly from the start when I called Alvin, the desk worker booked the rooms before we even left and the rooms were very clean for the length of our 4 night stay.
