Super disappointing. We want to frequent here but can't. Just as you decide on something you like, they are out of that food (even first thing on a Saturday). Not one to be quickly upset, we have continued to try over the past year to give them the chance to get the food they need there for the weekend, to no avail. The food here is just ok. The service was poor. The girl taking our order kept messing up and then the order wasn't right. When we asked why our smoothy was red, the staff said the were out of mango so put in mixed berry without telling to us. We had just seen an order picked up after ours​ get the same smoothy in the correct color. Maybe The other order was called in before ours and got the last of the mango but I think she messed up and just lied to us. The grilled cheese wasn't cheesy and very dry. The first time I ordered the Baden Baden egg sandwich, I loved it. Today I didn't. There was something bitter in it. Maybe the sprouts? The bread is excellent though. My husband got a scramble and he said it was just ok. Also the portion was so small he said it just made him hungry. the staff are super friendly and service was good. I might be back. I would just like to really say thank you to the staff. We were driving through Bend and really needing some nourishment and this place looked fantastic this place looked fantastic. The girl that took my order asked me how my day was going , and it wasn't going very great because our car was having problems my husband had to stay in the car with it running and I went in to make the order. Out of the kindness of her heart she would not let me pay for my smoothie only for my lunch. I really wish that we had something like this in Medford Oregon. Sadly we do not. The Smoothie was amazing and the food was excellent. I feel nourished and my sense of well-being and faith in humanity has been restored. read more

Although I love the smoothies I feel this places is super overpriced. The staff is never very welcoming and the wait time is always insane even when there is barley anybody in the store. I got the good morning sunshine breakfast sandwich and a "dirty hippie" (dirty chai with hemp milk). From walking in, I was ignored by the somewhat rude and dismissive cashier--she was too busy talking to other people in the restaurant to take my order. I believe the only words she said to me was "what do you want?" And the total for my order. The food is reasonably priced to be sure. The sandwich came out very quickly and is as fresh and awesome as advertised. The coffee, on the other hand, was none of that. Not only did 25 minutes go by before the cashier could stop talking long enough to make my coffee, but when I got it, it was lukewarm and weak. Meanwhile, I watched at least 5 other customers come in and go out before my drink was even thought of. The food is good, I will come here for breakfast again. But, the service (at least toward me) was some of the worst I've experienced in Bend. read more

Mothers food is absolutely delicious. But the past 4 times I have been in they have been out of everything. I ask for gluten free bread and they're always out of it, so I ask for collard greens the next time and they are out of them, so today I went in for an Acai Bowl and sure enough they were out of granola. I feel like it's been this way since they opened the downtown location. But I keep going back because I love their food. Maybe I just need to call ahead next time and make sure they have food in stock! read more

Didn't eat a meal at the new Mother's Eastside location; but did have a couple of smoothies. The service was excellent, with extra-friendly and helpful people behind the counter. They were very good at explaining the various drink options and sizes. Our drinks were made and served quickly, and were delicious. The location is easily accessible. Ambience...not so much; but I don't expect it from a restaurant such as this. It is very clean and neatly arranged with room around the seating areas. We will go back, and I recommend this restaurant...at least for their drinks! read more

1 major problems with this cafe. It's cleanliness as it relates to food safety: When I came in, one of the girls was sitting on the floor behind the counter and then stood up to take my order. Overall, this person's hygiene seemed a little questionable. I wouldn't have cared if her hands were clean or she wore gloves. But she did not wash her hands once. And her hands were really, really disgusting. They looked like they hadn't been washed all day. Her nails were dirty, with black caked under them, and I could see grubby stuff on her hands. After I paid for a sandwich, I was really hoping she wasn't making the food, or would wear gloves. I peeked through the back and saw her making my food without gloves, touching it with her bare, dirty hands. She came out and handed me the sandwich and her hands were still really bad.. Both girls working there looked really young, and I was too uncomfortable to refuse my food or ask for a refund. I just wasted $9.50, and drove over to TOGO's where I at least know they use gloves. I am too grossed out to eat it. I'm not sure if it's worth a phone call or not, but I'm pretty unhappy about it. read more

This place is absolutely incredible! They always have the freshest, organic ingredients and the staff is so lovely. They genuinely inquire about my day and make conversation. Came in today with my family of 5. Exceptional customer service. The girl at the counter recommended a smoothie to me based on my diet/allergy restrictions. (It was amazing), I was able to create my own! Having 3 picky children (ugh!), they were able to adjust our meals based on preference. Everything was wonderful, fresh and full of flavor. I'm visiting Bend for the Eclipse and I had a wonderful experience with Mother's! My husband and I are renting an Air BnB about a mile away and we thought we'd check out some of the local restaurants. I'm gluten free and my husband is vegetarian, and surprisingly, their menu REALLY catered to our diets. I had the Gouda Thyme sandwich on collard greens and my husband got the Buddha bowl. We both really enjoyed our meals, and the girls in the front were very friendly and asked us about our day. We bought some of the Eclipse glasses and some CBD shots. Ate here today and it was Awful - notice the capital "A" in Awful. Wish you could give ZERO stars. Girls working here could care less about taking our order or helping us and made a face when we asked a question. Couldn't find a clean table to sit down at - yes there was HAIR on one of the tables - yuck! Stuck food on the others - we wiped our own table down with a napkin. Looking around, most of the place didn't look that clean. There were very few people here- maybe two drinking coffee so it was not busy. Plenty of time to wash off a table rather than gossip and flip your hair while you are working behind the counter. We asked for water and was flippantly told we could get it ourselves at the end of the counter. The room temperature water in little dirty looking plastic glasses didn't look too appetizing. Later, when we asked for some ice and a straw we got another dirty look. After about 20 minutes the two sandwiches came out. More Awful with a capital "A". What we got was mostly bread - way too thick for a sandwich. We had a Mother Clucker and a Ham/Apple/Gouda. The meat was just folded in half so it was a little warm on the outside edge, but the insides were cold. The Ham sandwich was missing the "carmelized onions" which we were looking forward to. We didn't even eat half the food - picked out the meat. Another point, after we had been waiting around 15 minutes, a couple of ladies came in who were clearly known to the counter girls. They had their full attention and when seated were immediately served coffee and salads and something else. We still had to wait at our dirty little table with warm water. I wanted to ask for our money back and leave, but we didn't want to cause a scene. I wish we would have caused a scene :-( Too much money for mostly bread, missing ingredients, poor service and the worst part is the hair and dirty tables and floor. I would hate to see the kitchen. Not going back - we can get killer meals in other places for less money in a clean business. read more

The service was pretty terrible. Their coffee machine broke while making my latte, so I was given a small when I ordered and paid for a large. Rather than a refund, I received a punch card...with two punches when 10 are needed for a free drink. Both times I have been in it was a nightmare experience. Once there was no one at the counter for several minutes. The other time, there was no welcome or eye contact. The young girl didn't wait on me right away and then picked up the phone , giving me the "wait a minute" finger!!! I had been in line chatting with a friend to wait for the young girl to welcome us and ask us if we were ready. I asked for a small coffee and she corrected me by telling me that I what I wanted was an Americano. She didn't even ask me if I wanted any room at the top for anything in it. I even went in with a resume a short time after to see if they needed help since my experiences were awful. The manager, a female, was wearing no bra and had her shirt exposing her entire back that had a huge tatoo exposed. Her hair was not tied up and she was in the back and took a while to come out to talk to me. She was less than friendly and did not seem to appreciate me coming in. She just told me that the other store was hiring and that they laided people off in the winter season. I even mentioned that I would like to Mike, the owner but she didn't tell me when I could do that. I am very hirable and I would love to feel welcomed when I go to eat or drink at any local organization! read more
