The staff was very nice, even though they were super busy! We tried: - Free chips & salsa: These are a must everytime I visit denica's. They are a great snack while you wait for your meal. 9/10 - The ube pancakes: These were pretty solid. I didn't think that the pancakes themselves had a very strong ube flavor, if any. I think all of the flavor was in the ube coconut sauce that they come with. However, there is only sauce on the first layer so you might want to get extra! It is an additional $2.75 or so to get the extra side of ube sauce, though. The pancakes themselves could have been a little more moist and fluffy, as they were a bit dry and dense. I loved the fruit and sauce, so that definitely made up for it! I'm glad that I got to try, but I don't think I'd get them again. Instead, I would get a regular pancake and a side of the ube coconut cream! 8/10 - The chorizo burrito: My bf said that this was also a pretty good option. He thought that it could have been a bit more flavorful, but was still satisfied with his meal! 7.5/10 - The side of hash browns: These were good, as to be expected! While we were eating there was not a single time that anyone came up to us to ask us how we were doing, if we needed anything, or how the food was. There was a moment where it was someone's birthday at another table and I don't think I've ever heard a more unenthusiastic and monotone announcement for a birthday and a lame excuse for a birthday song. They're not going to bother with dropping off a check/bill for the meal so you need to go up to the counter to pay for the food.
