Classic diner specializing in breakfast items, namely waffles!…read more Sequestered into the industrial part of the city yet sharing space with eateries, shops, and gas stations, Country Waffles is a beacon for those looking to break their morning fast in order to seize the day ahead. Just off of the highway entrance, it's a convenient spot to stop by before heading off to labor (whether it's work or just errands). The parking situation is decent; they share a smaller piece of the lot with some smaller eateries and stores but if need be, the main portion of the lot in front of the Target is typically vacant. Be aware, however, the cell service in this area is miserable and Country Waffles itself doesn't have wifi (and proudly so, to encourage socializing and disconnecting from devices). As you step foot into the restaurant, you'll be greeted by the staff and seated. For individuals, you may be seated at the stools and for small to medium sized parties, you'll have the option for booths and tables. For parties of 6 or more, you may have the option to be seated at their booths where the partition can be removed, creating for an extra long booth. Upon being seated, you'll be given menus for you to peruse. Their menu is quite comprehensive for all things breakfast. Waffles, pancakes, scrambles, omelets, and benedicts are specialties here and I'd wager that it's best not to venture too far from it. As a chain, they do have their local offerings representing the culture of the community and staff. If you're unsure of what to get, don't fret as each meal comes with a side of potatoes and carb which includes your choice of toast, two pancakes, or half a waffle. Hearty, protein rich meals are also available here including a favorite of many, chicken and waffles. If you do end up coming in early, you'll be able to take advantage of their early bird special, but for the rest of us late wakers, the normal menu prices are still decent. Plus, the portions are generous and fair for the prices. A defining factor is their quickness - from order to food served, you're looking at most a 15 minute wait and the food comes out piping hot. Typically they all come at once for your table to feast together. Furthermore, the pancakes and waffles are not too sweet, fluffy on the inside and crispy where they need to be. We ordered a variety of items but my personal dish was the apple garden omelet. The egg whites were light and the ingredients were loaded and cooked well. The hash browns were crispy and lightly seasoned, making it perfect for those being conscious about sodium levels. The half waffle I got with it was crispy, yet soft and supple enough to soak up some maple syrup with each bite. Flavors were great, portions were just right, and textures were on point! The service is fantastic - Nadia helped us on this visit and she was great taking care of us. She made our first time here a great experience! After you finish your meal, consider ringing the bell to let the staff know how much you enjoyed your time here. Overall, Country Waffles is a great breakfast destination for those looking for some classic dishes at great value served by community-centered folks. The food quality is consistent, service is reliable, and prices are affordable. You won't see huge crowds here during peak hours like the big chains and you'll get, in my opinion, better food. If you're looking for an alternative to breakfast and brunch, consider visiting this local kitchen and grab a plate of their namesake waffles!

Especially as the refried beans were vegetarian with no lard. Chilaquiles were so good my daughter finished half my plate! All the ingredients were fresh 1 star off for the sourdough bread. It was not fresh and not good quality. Hard to bite into.

So, of course, have to stop by here. Friendly workers. There's indoor & outdoor seating. Decided to seat outside in the shade under the trees. Fortunately, not too busy when I went on Tuesday 11:30amish for breakfast. Ordered: -#6 Eggs Milan (with included hashbrown and choice of toasts.) loved that it had pesto sauce on it, too. -Apple cinnamon waffles (with sautéed apples, cinnamon sugar spice and whipped cream, maple syrup on the side). Also pretty delicious & fluffy. Overall, it's worth the meal. Great prices for food and smooth tasting coffee.

The Bravo omelet was super soft and fluffy, loaded with mushrooms, tomatoes, avocado, and bacon--really fresh and not heavy at all. The New York steak sandwich was super satisfying, with big chunky pieces of steak and avocado that made it extra good. And the coulotte steak was cooked perfectly--tender, flavorful, and just really well done overall. Definitely a great little brunch spot if you're in the area.

It would be incredibly helpful if this information was actually listed online to save customers a wasted trip. Because my main order wasn't available, I decided not to get food. I had already ordered two iced coffees, so I politely asked the waitress if they were ready yet, noting that if they weren't, I would just like to cancel them. She explicitly lied to me, claiming, "They are ready, sorry," and quickly charged me $18. That was completely untrue. After paying, I was forced to wait 14 minutes for two simple iced coffees. To make matters worse, I watched her serve iced coffees to other tables while completely ignoring mine. When I finally asked her why there was such a delay since she claimed they were already made, she completely flipped, gave me massive attitude, and was incredibly rude. To top it all off: The Drinks Were Awful: The vanilla and caramel iced coffees had absolutely no flavor. They just tasted like bitter, strong coffee. $18 straight into the garbage. No Receipt Provided: When I asked for my receipt, she flat-out refused or failed to provide it to me. The owner seriously needs to look into this employee's behavior and attitude toward paying customers. Lying to prevent a cancellation and then giving attitude when caught is completely unacceptable. Save your money and go somewhere that values honesty and basic customer service.

I'm a big country gravy guy and always felt like their gravy was special. I found out today that their gravy is homemade, which explained why it tasted so good. Add that stuff on anything and it will be delicious. Gravy love, aside, there menu is pretty expansive but not overwhelming. You'll get your usual stuff like pancakes, waffles, Benedicts, omlette, and. scrambles. They cover a lot of items and I'll definitely be back to try more, especially their crab cake Benedict and patty melt. I'm particularly mad that I forgot my server's name, I do remember she had teal streaks in her hair. She was probably one of the nicest servers I have ever met. She was helpful with explaining the menu, made sure we were good on condiments and refills, and was the perfect amount of fun and professionalism. Breakfast spots but seem like a dime a dozen but in this economy, you gotta set yourself apart from the rest and this place definitely does just that with their food and service.

The wait for the food was at least 30 minutes. Not entirely bad because this tells me they are making the food fresh, not microwaved or warmed up. The service was nice and friendly but no one came back to check on us, but they were pretty busy. The parking is terrible. Not the restaurant's fault but be prepared for small spaces and not many spaces.
