This place just gets better and better! We were lucky enough to try it their opening weekend. Waited a few hours to try the newest pizza in West Seattle! So glad we did because it took off like a rocket and getting an order has become a quest! Online orders are booked months in advance. We decided to show up and beg if we had to last Saturday and we were blessed to be 2nd in line. Their pizzas are even better than they were that first week! Not sure how! They were already pretty amazing on week 1! We got 3: a cheese; a vegan pepperoni with regular cheese; and the Root! All 3 were phenomenal! The root is probably my favorite if I have to choose. The mushrooms are so meaty and fresh. It is like an amazing combination of unique flavors that explode in your mouth. Every bite is spectacular. If you have not tried MOTO Pizza yet, make it a must try soon! This guy knows pizza and from what I am told they are all uniquely fabulous. Moto is brand spanking new as I write this. They are ironing out the kinks, dealing with overwhelming demand for their product. I'm giving them a 5 star review because I think their pizza is one of the two best in town right now (the other being West of Chicago pizza). It's a style of pizza I wasn't familiar with: Detroit style. This basically means square pieces on medium thick bready crust. I did a little slice swap with some other patrons in the yard so I got to taste a lot of their flavors. Thoughts: Root: I'm not a big fan of mushrooms or balsamic on pizza but I thought this combo was stellar. The caramelized onions blended well and the mushrooms weren't briny. This was my fave. Grade: A+ Pepperoni: it's good but considerably less interesting then the others and much much saltier And greasier You get a mammoth amount of pepperoni for the $ though so while a good value, I can only give this a grade: B [UPDATE: this pizza was really good cold later. The temp toned down the salt/grease and it was delicious as a leftover...upping the grade to: A] Cheese: this looked bland, more like cheese bread than pizza...but it was like perfect great cheese bread. Kids will like the simple flavor profile and it plays to the strengths of the cheese blend, dough, and tomato sauce. The sauce is very salty but it's sparse so it's a good balance. Grade: B+ Crab: take the cheese, delete the red sauce, add a dose of butter and dill and you've got a good base for the crab. The crab was fresh and not overpowering. I'm not a huge crab fan in general and at $19 this is less my jam, but it's worth the money and easily the best crab pizza I've ever had. Grade: A- Pig: I'm not sure I could eat a whole pie of this as its potent. But the flavors are great. Be prepared to deal with grease. Grade: A- Ice cream: they didn't have their special homemade cones yet but they served just the soft serve for $3 and it was a cut above Costco quality for sure. I had the black cherry with some butter pecan flavor too. Grade: A As they are new, there are some hiccups to work out with the timing. I got there right as they opened and got my pizzas in 20min. The guy right after me in line had to wait an hour for his (because a bunch of online orders appeared in the queue?). So don't come here expecting reliable timing...yet. The owners were very friendly and seemed commited to working out the issues. They are exploring how to pace accepting online orders. Still, the hardest part is solved...how to make good pizza. As a person who has never ever enjoyed "deep dish" pizza, or really pizza crust of any kind but thin crust, this is a BIG DEAL of a pizza place. It really is as good as everybody says. It deserves all the hype and more! We have now been fortunate enough to try MOTO twice, and I am sold. It's a great treat and worth the wait for a month or two to get your order! I've tried the Crab, Root, Harlem Chop Cheese, and Mr Pig, and they've all been so amazing. Each pizza has such a unique flavor profile, solid quality ingredients, the right amount of everything, and even the crust is delicious. You might remember going to Coldstone Creamery in the early 2010s and seeing a menu item called "Staff Creations.""" Staff were encouraged to add items to the menu that they had concocted themselves for customers to sample. The problem was that the staff were children and not proper chefs, so the food didn't have any balance; just sweet on sweet on sweet. That's how I feel about Moto Pizza. We got 4 pies since we were going to have 4 people, but it ended up being 2 of us due to having to reschedule our order due to a family emergency earlier this year. We got the Pepperoni, Clam, Kissd, and Shrimp pies. As I carried them to the car, the bottoms of the boxes were soaking wet. Eating the pizza, you can tell someone knows crust. Shaped well, good texture, and flavorful. Eating the pizza, you can also tell that someone missed the balance of pizza. Salt on salt and rich on rich while being absolutely drowned in grease. Papa Pete's got away with a million tiny pepperoni because they used low sodium meats, but these are so unbelievably salty, it's laughable. The flavor of the clam will blow your mind, but the richness makes it inedible after a bite or two. The shrimp were hard and overcooked while the stupidly flavorful sauces were overshadowed by the grease and salt. Every single pizza leaked through the paper and through the cardboard box by the time we got home and made a stain on my seat cover. I can't believe this was the intended product, but it's what I was served. My shout-out goes to the staff. When we needed to change our pickup day, they jumped into action and communicated sympathy. I've never had a pizza restaurant check in on me and my family down the road to make sure we were doing well, but Moto Pizza staff emailed us a couple of times. Walking into Moto, we were greeted like longtime customers and treated extremely well. But I don't think I'll make another order for this pizza. read more

A friend ordered these pizzas months ago and I finally got to try. This is really good pizza. The crust is so light and crisp and the flavors are bold. We tried the KISSD, Mr. Pig and Clam Chowder. All three pizzas were unique and delicious in their own right. My favorite was the Mr. Pig. All the little splashes of sauces really make the taste explode. When we at the pizza it was probably over an hour old. It still tastes great. I don't know if I would wait 3 months for any pizza, but I hear they opened one in Edmunds so maybe the wait will be shorter there. read more

My wife and I have been looking forward to trying this pizza since they opened and tonight we picked up our first order. I'll start at the end: it's some of the best pizza we've ever eaten, period. We ordered 3 pies - a kiss'd, a chop, and a pepperoni. We've had the kiss'd and chop so far and they're both incredible. The toppings are all absurdly good (the hot honey on the kiss'd might be the best single topping I've had), the cheese and sauce are delicious, and the crust is an awesome deep dish hybrid that seems to have a sort of caramelized cheese around the crust, which is insanely good. We got to eat some of their soft serve ice cream and were immediately hooked: I will personally vouch for both the wild cherry and butter pecan, they are objectively delicious. The owners are so kind and warm and personable - we got to chat with them a bit and really enjoyed hearing about their experience and thus far and about all the thought, love and care that goes into everything they make. Amazing and worth the wait. Seriously. First off the pizza is different than anything I've tasted... and that is a good thing. Wow. The sourdough is phenomenal. I was a little skeptical of the hype, since I placed my online order in June for July 7th. takeout! I even had to plan my IL NIDO reservation around my pizza pickup. THE PIZZA IS FREAKING DELICIOUS! Very soft/chewy/crispy dough very similar to focaccia. Tomato sauce so smooth, tangy, sweet and dense. Super cheesy and toppings on point. Pepperoni full of saltiness flavor and slightly crispy texture. Packaging is 100% sustainable. Dining area is outdoor with limited seating space. Nice folks running this place. I'm from Detroit and this is the closest I've found. Ordered three pies Adobo, Mr Pig and Kissed. The pies were a little smaller than what I expected but the slices were huge and covered in toppings. The Kissed was delicious and reminded me of home. The Mr Pig was also delicious. Adobo was good but not sure if I'd order again simply because the other two were so good. I can't wait to come back. Delicious! We waited three months for our order and it was worth every minute. I do want to say though, that as wonderful as the pizza was, the warmth and joy that Lee and Nancy bring as soon as you step through the doors of Moto was unexpected, and made for an unparalleled experience. We just moved to the area (placed our order before we even lived here!) and they greeted me and treated me as though I was an old friend. Where do I begin? We were lucky enough to snag an order spot for today when they opened May's dates. CRAB pizza for me. Mr. Pig and a Pepperoni for my husband, who needs 2 pizzas because 1 is not enough. Lol We could not believe the level of flavor, the quality of ingredients and the regard taken that you can tell gets baked into each pie. The fresh dungeness, the melted butter...yes I said melted butter...the herbs. It was a without question the best pizza, if not one of the best meals, I've ever had. Mr Pig had savory, sweet, all with the right touch of acidity and the Pepp was perfect. We ate in the car out front because it was raining and my husband (raised in Chicago so his pizza obsession runs deep!) was so enamored that he had to go back inside afterwards to tell them how amazing they were. I was REALLY looking forward to this. It took me probably 6 months to even place an order and another 3 to get my order. Unfortunately, I don't think this pizza is for me and I love pizza, especially deep dish. We ordered Mr. Pig, Dungeness Crab, and Cheese and I liked them all about the same. The first bite is tasty but it's not something I can eat much of. It's just too rich. I didn't feel great after eating it. Perhaps it's the cheese they use? Or the bread? Or butter? I'm not certain but it sadly it wasn't my jam. I will say it was unlike any other experience I've had with pizza. I see other people describe their pizza as rich too but they seem to love it. The owner seems very nice too. I may give it another try sometime to see if my perspective on it changes but not any time in the near future - not that I could if I wanted to anyways! read more

We love Moto Pizza we've been fortunate enough to try pretty much every pizza on the menu and have been making pre-orders consistently! Our favorites are the vegan kissd, all in, normal kissd, Harlem chop, the pig, and we just tried the Shrimp which was very good but wished there was a little more shrimp on there, we love getting the crab but felt that the amount of crab on the pizza isn't truly worth the price point considering the cheese/sauce and crab ratio to the pizza crust itself, just have to be honest However, I felt the last couple times and especially this time around the toppings have been pretty skimped out on. I got the Vegan Kissd and I mainly only tasted the tomato sauce with a little cheese, not even the hot honey or the pepperoni/chorizo. Especially for the price point the wait, and the only vegan meat option pizza, it's a little disappointing and hopefully this will improve the next time around! When I placed my order 3 months ago I had one hope, that it wasn't so terrible where I regretted my decision, but it wasn't so good that the thought of having to place another 3 month wait order would drive me insane. After finally getting my order this week, I can confidently say my wish was granted. The place itself is cute - only outside seating if you are going to stay and eat your order immediately, but overall look is super cute. The people working there are super friendly and really welcoming. I placed my order for a 7:30 pickup and it was ready, dead on 7:30. The pizza...it's good, the crust is nice and chewy and whilst it may look small, it's actually very filling. I got the kissd and the flavors worked well, but for me they were a bit too rich and overwhelming where whilst I wanted to eat more, I couldn't finish what I had on my plate. There was also a lot going on where things were falling off the top. So whilst it was good, I don't think I'd place another 3 month wait order for it. If they ever open their downtown location and you could pickup on the day you order, then I certainly would try it again. read more

This lived up to the hype! We ordered two pizzas: vegan pepperoni and shrimp. They were both delicious. The crust was perfect - pillowing and doughy. The flavors were amazing too. The ordering information needs to be higher on review list and at least posted on website or social media. I'm sure the pizza deserves 5 stars but this review is in regards to business operations and not a food review. Writing a 5 star review because the lower stars get pushed down. They take online orders about 1-2 months in advance. They are currently booked up until May 2022 so if you are planning on eating pizza in May, right now is the time to order. Online ordering is not available until it is available. The owner was nice enough to inform that for locals who want to wait on the day of, on Wednesdays and Thursdays only, the line opens at 4.00pm until sold out. I hope I get to try it while I still live in Seattle lol. Im from Chicago where I've had plenty of pizza, not just the deep dish kind, we also have tavern style and Detroit style. Never waited 2 months for pizza, but it was SO worth it!!! We ordered clam chowdah, pepperoni and the all in pizza. Our absolute favorite was the clam we ordered that one for fun but that was seriously awesome. Other two pizzas were also delicious. The dough is fluffy and there is a great crispy edges. Yummmmm will be back (as soon as I can get an order in). Also the warm and friendly welcome from staff when you pick up your pizza was just another reason to support this business. We ordered the Mr. Pig and a cheese for the kids. One bite into the Mr. Pig and I knew I'd never had pizza like this before. The combinations and flavors are like nothing else you can find and they work awesome. I got to meet Lee and I enjoyed hearing about the unique ingredients, which gave me a better appreciation for the pizza. Another thing I wasn't expecting was the pizza was cooked to perfection, just the right amount of crispness and Maillard reaction. The dough was nice and light too. The kids first bite into the cheese was followed by, "Best pizza I've had" Also, Lee was super cool to talk to and you can see he has a strong passion for his pies! Great customer service, and great pizza! I believe their pizza is considered Detroit style (pan crust, and some sauce over the cheese, but not Chicago style). I'm vegan, so I ordered from the vegan portion of their menu (they are not a vegan only establishment). You can't call in an order, or order online unless it's their monthly pre-order option. So, just show up in person to order. There is a parking lot across the street, so you don't have to drive around looking for a place to park. My pizza was ready in 15 minutes. The pizza can be consumed by one person, or two if you aren't super hungry/greedy! I've never heard anyone say anything negative about this pizza! read more

When I was telling my friends and coworkers I had pre order pizza two months in advance. It sounded a bit crazy and I got a lot of, "why?" But you know what? It was so worth it! I had pre ordered the crab, mr. pig, and a vegan plant. I picked it up Friday and dropped some off to my siblings, my co worker, and my friends. Can you tell food is one of my love language? Anywho the crab had a very subtle flavor, I love the tanginess from the lemon and the flavor of dill wasn't too over powering, mr,pig was really flavorful and delicious. I think that one was a crowd favorite because my brother and and my friends all said it was really good, different and wasn't what they were expecting. I would definitely preorder the pizza again and wait if I have too because i had such a good experience with my friends. I would also come back to try their ice cream would have tried to get some on Friday but I didn't have enough hands to carry everything. Also, I didn't get to speak to the owners for very long but they seem like really sweet people! I think I walked past one while walking inside and he was just out there having a conversation with some of the guest sitting out front.
