I hate I had to give them one star, if it was up to me, they would have no stars, I just paid 6,000 to get my truck fixed and I keep having problems with it. 1st I took it this location and got an oil change, then the very next day my truck stated acted wired, took it back and said blow the engine. Now that I have this engine and my truck still having problems Like who have $6,000.00 to just give away. Don't take your vehicle here to any kinda of services read more

Horrible they make up fees! I called twice and spoke with Steve twice to confirm make model and my specific oil change was covered under the Groupon PRIOR to purchasing TWICE he assured me that I was fine and to come in by 6. NEVER did he mention there would a shop fee or additional oil charge. I drove here completely under FALSE PRETENSES! I will be filing a dispute. read more

I took my car in for new brakes, rotors and an oil change. Shortly afterwards the guy called to tell me that my axle was leaking so I told them to go ahead and put a new one on. When I went in to pick up my car it wasn't there. The clerk said they sent my car over for a wheel alignment. A wheel alignment?!?... Really? It made no sense. Why would new brakes and rotors require a wheel alignment? Anyway, when I finally picked up my car the A/C didn't work which was really strange because I've never had any issues with my A/C at all prior to taking my car in there, so I took it back in and they told me that they never touched my A/C, but then they went on to tell me that I need a new A/C compressor (approximately $1500 to $2500 including parts and labor). Since I work at GM I know some seasoned mechanics around town so I got my keys and took my car to one of them who tested my system and told me that all I needed was a new $2 gasket, so they put in a new gasket and the whole repair cost me $291 including tax. In the time Motor City Auto had my car up on the hoist they could have done the whole repair but they're not as interested in return business as they are in screwing as many people over as they possibly can. They also charge everyone with a credit card an additional 4%. The place that fixed my A/C didn't charge me that! I WILL NEVER TAKE MY CAR TO MOTOR CITY AUTO AGAIN!!! read more

Was quotes $1,270.00 repair cost out the door. When I picked up my vehicle the cost was $ 1401.50. $131.50 over quoted price. $60 of which was a charge for using a credit card. Service was quick but not happy about hidden charges. read more

This is a horrible place to go to if need to get your car fixed i gave them $4100 to fix my engine and I'm still having issues with it two months later and they told me i need coil packs and that it would cost $580 and i just got new coil packs a month before i went to them they are very money hunger and should not be a shop please if you are reading this do not make the same mistake i did and trust them with your car it's not worth it read more

Khalil Madarani, better known as Chuck, is the owner and the man behind this shop. He has more than 30 years of experience in car repair. He worked at Chrysler for more than half of his life and knows cars inside out. He always wanted to have his own shop and his dream came true in 2008. You can blame it on the recession but Chuck took this as a sign to go on his own and open his shop to the community he lives in.

He NEVER actually did a diagnostic and just fixed what I told him they said was wrong with the car. He says that he'll fix it but he doesn't know if it'll stop the engine noise. I was told that the diagnostic would gather the information needed to make a sound decision about the repair. It was a ripoff and I'll be reporting this business to everyone that I possibly can report it to. He should have never fixed my vehicle when he knew that my car still would not function properly after the repair.He's fixed an oil leak and still charged me $90 for an oil change as if he wasn't going to have to put oil back in the vehicle after the repair. He's suppose to be mechanic and be thorough. He took advantage and then got upset when I told him that the credit card charges are too much because he's going to write those off on his taxes. My review of Crest Ford and my buying experience one month into ownership…read more On November 14th, I purchased a certified pre-owned 2019 Ram 1500 with 55,168 miles, which was advertised as being covered by their Ford Blue Advantage 3 month/4,000 mile warranty. The truck was priced reasonably, and at first the buying process seemed straightforward. I genuinely felt like I was in good hands- unfortunately, that turned out not to be the case. Here's why: 1) They refused to negotiate on price at all, not even slightly, but I still decided to move forward. When submitting my credit application, I clearly told Lee Samaha over the phone not to run my credit more than once and only with a bank they were confident would give me a solid rate. Despite this, they ran my credit three separate times, resulting in three hard inquiries on my credit report. My request was COMPLETELY ignored. Had I known this would happen, I would've gone straight to my credit union and handled financing myself. 2) The finance manager, Tim Rotarius, initially told me the interest rate the bank approved me for, and I agreed to it. However, when we were signing paperwork, he sneakingly increased the rate by 0.25%. At first I thought it was a mistake- until I saw the final documents reflected the higher rate. I immediately called him out and made him change it back. He tried to brush it off as an "accident," but I wasn't buying it. We ALLLL know dealerships receive kickbacks for marking up interest rates, so it was obvious what was happening. 3) 19!!!!!!! days after purchase, on December 2nd, the truck left me stranded and had to be towed to a Ram dealership. I was without a vehicle for an entire week while they diagnosed the issue. The problem ended up being a bad starter. Despite the starter being a covered component under the CPO warranty, the warranty company has given me the runaround. I had to pay $770 out of pocket, and now I'm being told reimbursement could take up to eight weeks. I hadn't even made my first car payment yet and was already forced to shell out $700 for repairs. Meanwhile, Crest wouldn't negotiate even a dollar off the purchase price- Petty, to say the least. I purchase a newer pre-owned vehicle roughly every two years. Needless to say, I will never return to Crest Ford or any Crest Automotive Group dealership again.

They looked over the tires first and told me I needed a new lug nut for my front passenger tire. I asked how much for a new lug nut would be and they said $90. I politely declined after checking the prices online and said there's nothing wrong with the lug nut but there's something wrong with trying to price gouge. They go for less than $20 at auto part stores. They then refused to rotate the tires because it puts their staff "in danger". I left and went over to the Discount Tire on 14 Mile in Troy. They had me in and out in 25 minutes and when I asked about the lug nut in question they said there's nothing wrong with any of them. Sadly I cannot recommend Discount Tire in Centerline because of their dishonest business practices.

I went and talked to someone inside the office and he looked at me weird when I said the guy said he wouldn't fill up the tire. And said to bring it back around. I do that, another guy walks up, proceeds to excuse the other employee and comes up with some BS any their compressor can't fill up my tire and that I need an appointment for them to look at the tire. I said I was just trying to fill it up since it's a tire shop. NEVER TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE

I was visiting Michigan over the thanksgiving holiday this past year and I had problems with my brakes. I had to drive back to DC and I didn't want to risk getting into an accident on the way back. Brakes were shaky and the front ones sounded really bad. I stumbled upon this shop by chance and when I pulled up an older middle eastern guy showed up and first thing he said was "this doesn't so good, I would be careful driving this car like this". This was Chuck, the owner. He pulled the car in and checked it out. He was very honest about what it needed. He called few auto part shops and was able to get me a really good deal on set of brakes. Although the place was pretty busy for the day after thanksgiving, chuck was able to install my new brakes and get me on the road in less than 2 hours. Chuck is really funny guy. He got a lot of jokes so made the experience enjoyable. I would recommend him to anyone in the area. read more

I have a 2010 Ford Focus. I needed motor mounts and transmission mount. You guys were great. Took care of my issues and it was $50 cheaper than quoted. Also replaced my Flex pipe for free. I first started with Motor City Auto 10 -15 years ago with Chuck. Henry is just as capable as his uncle Chuck was. I will be back next month to have inner and outer tie rods done. While waiting on my repairs. A older gentleman walked in looking for a totally different shop. Henry went beyond to assist him. It took about 10-15 minutes. During a busy time of day. I was very impressed with Henry's customer service. I took a picture but don't know how to download it. Lol...I give you guys a 5 out of 5,in service. Thank guys! read more

Cal was a absolutely professional and an amazing mechanic. Not only did he give me a fair price to drop a new engine in my vehicle, but he moved with efficiency to get the job done the right way the first time. I have a five-month-old daughter and a newly married wife and am on a budget and he still worked with me so that my family would not be without the only car we had.
