My husband owns a H2 ,and he went there in Feb with a running bike to have the cylinder head removed and replaced . Now it is the end of May and went to check on the bike, the bike was still in pieces, his mech that was working on the bike finally admitted that he couldn't degree the cams while the engine was in the frame. Really! It took from the end of Feb to end of May to realize this. So, my husband decided to just leave with his bike and they wanted to charge him a lot of money for incomplete repairs, like $50 per spark plug ( roughly $200 a set). His bill was $1900 for a bike returned in pieces( hopefully all of his parts are in the boxes). So, to all of the H2 owner's..DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!!HORRIBLE. Now, we have to pay another mech. to put his bike back together!!! VERY VERY UPSET CUSTOMER AND YOU DO NOT DESERVED ANYONE'S HARD EARNED MONEY!!!! may 21. Today I walked in to see the update on my bike and i was told it's not ready but i could take it home. I was told that the part that was missing had arrived 3 days ago but i was never informed about it. They still haven't fixed the bike and their excuses was that all bikes even if they are new will go bad and I totally agree because any bike you buy from this place will go bad even if it's a brand new 2021 with 0 miles. I have only called 3 times since i left the bike in their shop however i was told that i called every day and won't let them work on it. They sold me a malfunctioning bike and expect me to just pick it up and ride it. Every time i called i have been respectful with their employees and all i asked was for a update on my bike because it is my main type of transportation. After reading other people reviews here on yelp and BBB, i am SCARED that it could take them months before they get even close to fixing it. And yes when i walked in they also mentioned the reviews i left online and i am hoping they answer to this and try to correct me and see how they play it off. I really wish I could give negative stars here, but since I can't, I'll just leave a single star. I bought my Aprilia scooter from them, with warranty, over a year ago. They insisted I pick my bike up on a Saturday at 11AM, after 4 days of "prep"-- kind of funny since the bike was on the lot, but, OK. When I arrived at 11AM that Saturday, they first told me the bike wouldn't be ready that day because they "forgot" to prep it at all. I waited 3.5 hours to get the bike, at which point, the delivered it with a broken horn. I had to return the bike to the dealer for MORE service and prep later that week-- so I wonder, what prep happened to begin with? The staff was generally rude, uninformed, and not looking to simplify my life or enhance the experience of buying a bike from them. Their manager seemed to not at all care, as if this experience of wasting the whole day of a customer is so normal that it's not even worth dealing with. Since then, they've failed to honor their service warranty the way they're supposed to, have OVER-CHARGED my credit card, threatened me, and been generally impossible to deal with. Actually, as I type, they're holding my bike hostage until I pay a $386 fee for damages THEY CREATED. I literally had to file a police report just now, and am so sad that I'm wasting yet another day of my life on these terrible business people. All I can say is there are lots of motorcycle dealers out there, and this is the absolute last one I would ever recommend-- unless you like terrible service, mean people, and losing money. read more

The used-car salesmen they have on the floor are clueless about motorcycles and their only priority is up-charging you and adding on ridiculous dealer fees. I'm going to chime in here with my story about MM. I bought a Suzuki GS500 sometime ago from them. After a year, I took the bike in for service. After two months and not a phone call or an update (from them mind you, I was calling constantly) I get a letter in the mail saying that I was being sued by Motorcycle Mall for $250.00 and that they were going to confiscate and sell my bike if I didn't pay the balance. I started laughing hysterically. The service department, the ones who jerked me around for two months saying "next week, next week" had submitted my bike for collections. Classic. I call the owner and ask him what the hell is going on over there. He pulls my file, and starts to apologize profusely, which I appreciated, considering the fact that they held my bike hostage and basically tried to extort me. I got my bike back the next day with a dead battery. Yeah, I know. terrible. I drove off the lot and never looked back. Since then, I bought a moto guzzi from Brookly Vespa, who is a much better dealer in every single aspect, and have purchased three other 10,000+ dollar bikes from other dealerships in the area. Motorcycle Mall makes their nut on volume, which is why they relay so heavily on internet sales. Without new customers, who have no prior experience with the inefficient and lazy staff and MM, they would collapse. I suspect their repeat business is next to none. Next recession, when discretionary spending plummets again, I think it'll be the death of the place. read more

I recently got my motorcycle license and decided to visit this place mainly for browsing purposes. The building is impressive. You walk in and the store is filled with gleaming bikes of all shapes and sizes. There were a few bikes I wanted to look at specifically to see how comfortable they were to sit on. Most of the bikes in the store had a "do not sit on" sign "unless you speak with a salesperson." Fair enough. I spoke with a salesman and asked if I could sit on the bikes and he said "sure". I sit on a bike. The same salesman comes over and starts with the usual high pressure attitude: do you have a license, are you ready to buy, are you buying today, etc. I said I was just browsing and he replied that a salesman would have to accompany me if I wanted to sit on a bike. So I left. I will never come back here. If he left me alone I may well have found the bike I liked and returned at a future date to buy it. read more

Called to get a price and fees breakdown for a new motorcycle I was ready to pay cash for. I was told they charge 595 for freight, 495 for setup, and 195 for documentary fee and weren't willing to budge on their decided out the door price. Those fees are crazy high, I bought another bike in March from one of their local competitors and was only charged 495, 295, and 125 respectivley, that's a difference of 370 in fees! Friend just bought a new bike in Monmouth county, 495, 250, and 150! They could have had an over the phone deposit right then and easy sale if they were willing to negotiate at all or weren't charging such ridiculously high fees! read more

I contacted them after 2 days and they had no record of my request, saying the battery I needed would only be a special order. But they have a huge selection of gear and bikes. I bought gloves, helmet, and a leather jacket last year on Black Friday for a great price. I brought my bike in to get two recalls fixed, they ordered the parts & had it back to me within 6 days. If you need repairs, go to circle cycle in ridgefield or washington cycle works. That turns into he'll have it back before spring. Now, he has it delivered today and HALF OF THE WORK IS NOT DONE. His rear set bolt was zip-tied to the bike when it wasn't brought into service like that. This was something that was supposed to be work on, but instead he was lazy with it. And what is my bf told when he speaks to John? "well, you didn't tell me to fix that"...is that not your job? I'm not sure why this place has such a negative rating, but at the time of this posting, I can assure you more than 4 people have bought motorcycles here! It seems that most of the reviews are for people that changed their mind after the deposit, but for good practice if you think this might be a possibility, get it in writing! Your deposit may have led to some accessories that you wanted and some initial service... is it fair for them just to return it simply because you change your mind at the last minute? I bought a Vespa from them and couldn't be happier. Everything from the service to the sales was efficiently done. The sales people were very friendly and we were able to agree to a price that was just right. I drove 90 miles from where I live because the Vespa dealerships near me either a) didn't have the stock I was looking for that Motorcycle Mall had or b) they were really not a 5 star store and you can figure this out just by walking in and talking to their staff. Horrible finance department. They offered me terms that didn't exist, and AFTER I signed the papers and took a motorcycle home, they called and said they have to increase my payment because they offered me too many months to pay. I of course objected, and they had to eat the difference. Then I never got my paper work within the 30 days they said I would, so I couldn't get my non-temporary plate, and the bike was parked in my garage waiting for them to get their act together, which took weeks. Fast forward a few years, I paid my lien early and asked for them to send me my title, since apparently they never sent the paperwork to the lien holder. They insist they did, and when I asked for proof they wouldn't give it to me. That's after a month almost of leaving messages and having Wendy from finance tell me she will look for my title and get back to me the same day, and then disappear and not take my calls. Now if I want a replacement title I have to go camp out overnight outside the NJ DMV, which just now opened after 3 months of being closed. Do yourself a favor- find a dealership that will not make your life so difficult. They will promise you the world to make a sale, but when the problems begin (and they likely will) there will be nobody to talk to. read more

I rarely ever post reviews of anything, but due to the consistency of my multiple different experiences here, I felt compelled.. The service department experience here is the worst I've ever come across (for any vehicle). Now let me clarify, the actual work done by the techs is great quality. No complaints or issues there whatsoever. But the management and customer service is a 0 out of 10. If they tell you they will give you a call back, it wont happen (they're at least 0-10 on this with me). If you're expecting a promised update, it wont come. Even when there are delays or issues with your service, you have to call after days of not hearing to have them apologize & tell you the latest. I don't know if they're just that busy or that clueless on how to deal with people, but its beyond unpleasant and I have a pretty average bar of expectation when it comes to service departments. I've now had multiple identical experiences and after I didn't receive another promised call back today, I felt the need to share. After buying my bike here, I will unfortunately be taking my service business elsewhere in the future. read more

Rip Off!! Stay away. They take forever. They don't call you. You always have to call them. They come up with excuse after excuse why your motorcycle has not been looked at yet. After a 2 week period of my bike just sitting there, I find out it takes only 30 minutes to go over the bike and tell me what it needs. They quoted me $2000 for repairs. TAKE YOUR BIKE TO THE DEALER DO NOT USE MCM. Held off from writing this review because I'm a long time customer with MCM. Took my bike in for a recall simple job might I add. Quick key replacement and brake lines for my Ducati XDiavel. Spoke to John in service and he said "bike will be done same day parts come in" this of course was completely false. Parts came in and my bike sat at that shop for 3 weeks. Every time I would call John he would give me a different excuse "Tech is working on it and rear wheel is actually already off the bike" , "definitely before the weekend" , "should be ready by late afternoon". All broken promises. I stayed patient for days before initiating a call to Mike (manager of service). Left a message with another rep and of course never received a call back on the status of my bike. I showed up in person since I only live about 5min away and I asked to speak with Mike, another service rep told me "he's probably in the back somewhere and on the phone" in other words "get lost". Very unprofessional operation. Ducati dealer greet you with respect. You want to speak to a manager you get a manager. They answer your calls, they follow up with you. I should of believed the Yelp reviews of this place. I did however file a complaint directly with Ducati and hopefully they are no longer an authorized dealer and servicer of their bikes. read more

I can't believe the difficulty and obstacles I have endured in order to purchase a motorcycle from Motorcycle Mall. Every time I was on hold to speak with a sales person it automatically resulted in a hang up. Trying to follow up with a salesperson, whom intially contacted me, wanting to know what he and the establishment could do to gain my business completely disregarded my follow up emails with my contact information. I was purchasing the vehicle cash and required details and an exact price for my bank to dispense the funds. After 3 days of emails to no avail and a few hang ups, I have decided to go to another dealership. I have given the sales person and Motorcycle Mall ample opportunities to gain my business and they have fallen regrettably short. As a result I may be paying a few hundred more but it's worth it to get a personal and much more pleasant sales experience overall from the other dealership. I went to Motorcycle Mall two times and spent a total of 8 hours at this dealer to finally purchase a bike. The sales person I worked with was not able to answer my questions regarding additional parts I could buy with the bike and requested I wait in line at the parts department while we were in the middle of closing the sale. The sales person assumed that I was financing without asking and proceeded to take my information without explaining the steps and process, where we were in the purchasing process and my options for payment - Cash, Credit and financing. After being approved for purchase I asked to clarify if I could take the bike home that day so my ride could leave. They said that there were no recalls and I would be fine ( they would not tell me this prior to signing for the bike....odd). I released my ride to go home and 20 minutes later I was told the brake light needed a new switch. I was surprised that a brand new bike would not have been checked prior to selling it. During this process The sales person was answering calls to capture new leads and spoke to two other customers trying to capture another sale. To my knowledge I was the only person who bought a bike in this time which took a total of 6 hours from arrival. Suggestions: train your team, focus on a simple process to get people out the door and help them understand what the sales process entails. (Side note, I have purchased at least 7 vehicles in the past years at dealers and have a decent Idea of what a good-OK experience is like) Honestly I have always had better experience with CL. To start off all these reviews are correct and as you can see the manager just disagrees with the customers making them feel like they did something wrong. Sounds like a tough ass instead of a good business man. My fiancé went there to surprise me with an R6 and after waiting over 49 minutes for assistance they gave her one price, she agreed to the price and gave a $700 down payment. When I found out I agreed to that price to then find out they added on a ridiculous amount of fees, then bike ended up being $105 more a month then we agreed. When she declined and asked for her down payment back they gave her a rough time to the point she felt really uncomfortable and scared. She finally got the down payment back which ended up taking a few days to go back to her account. We had way better service at other dealers. Lucky for me I was away! Management seem to be bullies. I cannot believe they are still in business. Please do your research and take the advice of all the reviews. And for management, don't bother responding, I care less to call and discuss anything with you. Learn from the reviews and treat customers better as well as have the right price.
