I dealt with the service dept. They just don't care about the customer. They took my bike for an exhaust installation, kept the bike for 6 days. Never received a call with an update, I had to always call and ask about the status of my bike. They told me my bike was on the lift and the technician was working on the bike, that they had issues with some software. after the 6th day, I went there and request to see my bike, and they had it in a corner and nothing was done. None the less they said they will need another 3 days if I wanted to get my exhaust installed. I requested my money back for the exhaust and the store manager was giving me a hard time. Saying that he will see if he could do something for me. (after they say they will return my money ) he was expecting me to thank him !!!! I bought my 2017 Ducati Super Sport from them, called service department for a recall from Ducati and spoke to Eileen, she said that I have to bring the bike then order the parts, wait for the parts to arrive then they will work on my bike and she said it could take 3 weeks or earlier it depends how long it will take for the parts to arrive. Why do I need to leave my bike, while the part is not in there yet. I called Cross Country Cycle and said... no need to bring the bike yet, just give me the VIN and we will put the order for the parts and we will schedule you for a service recall when we have the part then bring your bike in... not a good service department. read more

I wanted a Yamaha FX SVHO wave runner and none of the marinas near me had one or could even get one. Well Motorcycle mall had one and I drove right over. The price was not especially low but being it was high season for these things and you could not get one anywhere, no surprise there. They prepped it right and did my NY paperwork even though they are a NJ shop, so I was happy. I don't have the bread for a bike right now, but they have an amazing showroom of Italian bikes, which I can stare at while they winterize or summerize my wave runner. read more

Stay away from their Service if you can! Motorcycle Mall will happily sell you a bike but if you need a repair, you're screwed. Dropped off my KTM 2 weeks ago - they have not even looked at it yet! When I went there, I asked how long it would take, they said a few days probably... right... Every time I call I am being told something different. Had I known, I would have gone some place else. They picked up my bike for service feb 24th. Its now march 26th. apparently they're still "waiting on parts" no update about when they'll be here. In fact everytime i call i get put on hold for 15 minutes only for someone to pick up and put me on hold again. Apparently only one guy knows about my bike. I ask whats going on and they put "john" on the phone. John says ill call you back but never does. John in fact said that ill have my bike back before spring. That was a bold face lie. When i get my bike back they will never get business from me again. Very depressed. Update: they delivered my bike only for half the work to be done. The first thing i looked at was a bolt on the rear set that needed to be replaced. It was zip tied. Took over 3 weeks for a basic regular service, refused to return calls the entire time. Consistently overcharges for bikes cause they're the biggest dealer in the area. Salesman can be overheard bragging about selling customers on ridiculous interest rates. They pad their google reviews by promising discounts to anyone who gives them five stars. You can tell this if you look at their yelp reviews (which they don't pad) and see the average of just TWO stars. read more

Richard, Not too often on yelp, just saw your reply. Yes, it was my first service, about 30 months ago. I remember it differently, however I won't be arguing 4 over 5 hours.4-5 hours wait is nothing outrageous for the 1st service. Issue was expectations management - i.e. I was told it will be 2. If I were told it will be 5 it would be fine, just good to know ahead. What really makes it 0 stars for me is Tuono missing quart of oil part. To answer your questions. I checked oil only few days later and after engine has stalled on a highway 2 times with 'low oil pressure' message (so-so experience, esp. in fist bike/new rider combination). As I got home, I checked the pin and it was dry. I had to add a quarter to get it to 'by instruction' level. Since then, for another 10K+ miles before I sold it I barely needed to top it off at all (vs. my current RSV4 1100 eats half a glass in ~300 miles). Those are facts. Now, could it be Tuono ate that much oil in a couple of days? It might, but I doubt. Could I have called, make a drama, towed a bike to prove (allegedly) soppy job and fix it - sure. But it was easier to add oil and resort to never service at Motorcycle Mall a gain. read more

I took a bike in for service, worst experience ever! None of the promises about contacting you when reviewed or estimates on time and cost are real. Worst bunch of amateurs, they sent me about 10 text messages all bs. Try to call them and if they pickup you will be on hold for 8 x 10 minutes. If you like disservice this is the shop for you. Go anywhere else, I know i will never be back. All the bad reviews are true. They charged me 240 to adjust the idle, said it was a bad gas. I treated the gas when I brought it in Feb 2020. If I didn't call them the bike would still be there 5 months later. They lie, overcharge and are totally unorganized. I would rather ship the unit out of state than have them ever work on it again. You delete Google reviews that aren't in your favor which are many and YOUR DEALERSHIP did a WHEEL ALIGNMENT on my bike whose tires were sooooo bad I'm lucky I made it home. My tires were the only issue and YOUR PLACE missed it and dropped the ball. Don't try say anything else. Bottom line you never saw bad tires cause you were too busy charging me 270 for a wheel alignment I didn't need. Amazingly you can't admit a mistake on your end. When I brought it to a reputable slingshot dealer they laughed at me and immediately said I need new tires. My problem was 100% fixed. Your Wheel alignment on bad tires did nothing for my bike. It was ridiculous. All you had to do is admit you missed it and u would of deleted my comment. Your ego won't let you do that. If I'm wrong just read the rest of the comments. People are mad and you need better customer service you've lost me as a customer and lots more behind me. Just be nicer and admit you can be wrong. It's not always about the dollar bill. You guys dropped the ball because your service dept takes message to someone at desk who than can possibly relay the wrong message to customer. Nice place with tons of cool bikes but EXTREMELY OVERPRICED. Their price was $3k more than the other prices I got from other dealers for a $8k bike. Would never waste my time walking in here ever again. Went to buy a MT-07 which MSRP is $7,899. I had gotten an offer for $9,800 from a different dealer which was a great deal but I wanted to check out what Motorcycle Mall had to offer. So I called them and after talking for about 30 minutes Mayrelin told me the price would be somewhere around $10,200 and to come in and talk in person. I did not want to waste my time and pay more. Every day for the next 4 days they left me voicemail after voicemail seeing if I was still interested. I called them back a week later and see what they had to offer now. They transfered me over to Katherine who took over from Mayrelin. Now after talking to Kat for a while she told me the bike would be $11,300, thats when I just said no thanks and hung up the phone. She called me back 10 minutes later asking if we got disconnected so I said yes even tho we did not. She then tells me to come in and we can speak with Nick the sales manager to further discuss a better price that will be closer to $9,800. I was nearby so I stopped by and I tried talking to Nick about the MT-07 but he would just send a salesperson to help me even after telling him I already spoke to Kat about a price. He would just keep calling a salesperson to help me because Kat was not there. So after finding Kat she showed me the bike then we went to her desk to talk more about the price. Once we sat down I told her I had a offer from another dealer for $9,800 then she was asking from which dealer and to see the dealers invoice which I did not share with her because why would I... she then gets up and goes to see Nick and comes back to her desk 5 minutes later and said "Nick really likes you guys but the lowest he can go is $11,000". At that point I said thank you and just walked out of the store. While walking out you can hear Kat say on he loudspeaker "Nick they are leaving". I have no doubt that they won't sell the bike for atleast $11,000 to someone who does not know how to shop around but don't waste my time telling me to come into the store to discuss the price and get it to match or lower than the $9,800 offer. Overall this place is cool to walk around and check out nice bikes but if your looking to get a good price this is not the place to buy one. I normally do not write reviews but after reading a lot of negatives ones regarding the service department at Motorcycle Mall I felt compelled to share my experience with them. Back in October 2023 I emailed the service department regarding my Piaggio liberty 150's first service that was due in 3 months. Mike Cavaluzzi the service manager responded right away. I was looking as well to update my scooter's horn. Not only did Mike give me the installation price but he also gave me the name of a place in California where I could get the parts needed for the installation. Over the following 3 months I emailed Mike regarding new tires for my Scooter and to install a side stand. Mike took the time to respond to all of my emails. I see that a lot of complaints are regarding pricing. Before doing the work, Mike sent me the quote and like most dealerships labor is the highest item on the list. I'm sure that a small dealership in a rural area will be cheaper but unfortunately, I reside in a metropolitan area where the cost of labor is higher. I purchased my first bike from their and i used a credit card in 2011 I brought a brand new 2009 750 Honda aero, it's a beautiful bike. 2. I had my bike towed twice to motorcycle mall for tire replacements and no problems. 3. I brought my bike in for it's first maintenance with no problems . 4.I then brought my bike in for it's first 4000.00 mile maintenance, its was approximately 4440.00 miles. This is where the Sugar Honey &I Ice Tea hit the fan. That was in 2019 late October. 5. This is where i took my bike in for maintenance and when Tyor (who is no longer employed) said to me that the battery that purchased from them could and would hold a charge, a battery that they sold to me. and it's been a constant/consistent problem and receipts don't lie. 6. I just received my bike back two days ago from this e-mail. Thank you for the delivery that i paid for. 7. Now to get to the, unfortunate, I took my bike back to where i brought it from, for service, again it took him week to tell me the same thing that took you weeks to tell me (your battery won't hold a charge, you need to have their receipt, and bring in your battery tender which was done EVERY TIME , but yet the battery that they Sold me would never hold a charge and ("You need a new one") 8. With tylor this all took place less than a year ago. So in November of last year 2019 my bike was delivered to me, it would not start. the battery was bad, so i called the premier motorcycle mall in the tri-state area back again. So I had to bring in the battery and battery tender so they can check each one. The battery tender was great (working) and the MOTOBATT, remember the name. 9. i think that something inappropriate is was/is going on with them and batteries. I got information from someone who worked for the mall and gave me the direct # to motobatt who happens, at the time That I called him, to be an over the road driver. To me the whole thing stinks to high heaven. And when I post my receipt maybe you have had the same experience. 10. if you have had any type of negative experiences, (I have) lets talk. I stopped in this morning with plans to purchase a 2022 Kawasaki KLR. I got to the dealership, before the doors were even unlocked. I live local to the Motorcycle Mall. At about 5 min until opening, I watched the guys park a beast of a Polaris on the showroom floor. Once they were done, I entered the building and proceeded to the only 2022 KLR on the floor. There I waited from 10:00am until 10:38am. Not a soul greeted me (until I was already walking out the front door at 10:38), or asked if I needed help. Nobody. I actually started researching other Kawasaki dealerships while I was being ignored, right in front of the bike I was willing to purchase. I actually made an appointment to see the same bike elsewhere while standing in the Motorcycle Mall. If I was the Sales Manager or General Manager, I would be embarrassed to lose such an easy sale. I have never had a worse buying experience in my life. I wanted to buy a new Can Am Ryker Sport, and they had it in stock. I got there at 4pm and didn't get out till after 830pm. They kept me waiting over an hour and a half to run my credit. I have a very high credit rating and it should have been an instant approval. Then I had to wait another hour to talk to the finance guy. They smartly take your down payment BEFORE you get to see any real prices and then your stuck with no bargaining power. They charged me $1,695 for shipping and $1,595 for assembly which on its own is high. I left feeling like I was taken advantage of. I also ordered a set of Pannier bags for which they were charging me $1,000. A few days later the parts manager called me saying "due to gas costs the shipping for the cases would be an additional $100", I told him no because I had looked them up and could get the exact same set for $849 with no shipping from another company, in the end they covered the price of $849 but HAD to give me a store credit for the balance. I waited two weeks for my pickup day and returned to, not being taken care of at all. When I finally got to see the bike, I found an issue with the Frunk not locking, and all they wanted to do is say this model didn't come with a lock, but I know it does, they then took it back into service. Now it's been 1 1/2 hours from my arrival at the store, I had run out of time and patience, I had to take my 7yr old to the dentist, so I left without the bike. I called Kat when I got back home after the dentist and she told me she would look into what's going on, and would call me back. After another 1/2 hour of waiting, I called her again and she said I can't pick up my bike today and she will call me back. I have no idea what's wrong or when she will call me back. I can't believe, if this is how they treat their customers, that they are still in business, I also plan on getting a Can-Am spider F3-T when my wife falls in love with the Ryker, but I will NOT be getting it from Motorcycle Mall, I will go out of state if I have to. Sales person named Sandro is extremely rude and not too helpful. Went here on 4/29/22 with my husband, his two friends, we came in looking for two Raptor 700rs. We also came because they wanted to get some protective gear for the weekend since we were going up to the mountain to go dirt bike riding. As soon as we came in we were greeted by one of your salesmen named Sandro (we later found out because he did not introduce himself using his name) As soon as we informed him what we were looking for he said "ooooh that one you won't find here, those are extremely difficult to find. Many people come here thinking they will find it and take it home the same day but it doesn't work like that." He told us we'd have to wait 6mo to a year in order to get them since they weren't being made atm. The man was extremely negative and very standoffish. He seemed like he didn't want to be there helping us. This salesman really should rethink his job. Coming from the hospitality field and being a hospitality professional, currently in the industry. this is not the way to treat customers. I am not sure if maybe the Sandro salesman was having a rough day but it is not the way to treat someone especially when you are selling a vehicle. This review got 3 stars because after this we started working with Johnathan Sanchez. And it was a pleasure working with him. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I'm highly dissatisfied with my experience with Motorcycle mall. I first contacted them and spoke to Mayrelin about a pre-owned ducati they had for sale. I attmepted to contact her back to close the deal with her and was told she was unavailable and referred to Toni. Toni and I negotiated on the phone and by text and agreed upon a price of 19,500 out of the door including tax and registration. He then asked for my address and agreed. I finally was able to over an hour drive out there today and after inspecting the bike, I said I brought cash with me and lets do the deal for 19,500 out the door as we agreed. He told me that was without tax and registration. I then asked what I was paying 19,500 for a pre-owned motorcycle listed for 18,999 as there shouldn't be any delivery/set up fees on a preowned motorcycle. Toni could not explain to me why there was a difference in price or what the additional $501 was. He further related that he wouldn't honor the price even though I had a text/e-mail conversation confirming this. SUPER DISAPPOINTED with the experience and will be spreading the word to avoid others this headache. read more

I give the parts dept 3.5 stars and the service dept -2 stars. The place is pretty disorganized. Different departments quoted me different prices. The parts guys are pretty helpful but I was never called when my parts came in. They said I was notified by email but they had never requested my email address. Motorcycle Mall isn't cheap parts wise but if you haggle they price match internet prices (aside from eBay and Amazon). They will match J&P or BikeBandit etc if you insist they stick to their price matching policy. I wasn't happy that the tire I ordered was manufacture in 2012 but whatever - it's a cruiser and the tire looked like it had been stored well. So I saved a few dollars by dealing with MMall by price matching with BikeBandit. The parts guy said if they price matched I'd have to get it mounted there for $30. In the end the aggravation and the trip to the hood (Belleville) ended up not being worth the small savings. My experience in the service department wasn't good. Extra $8.75 added on for "misc" and disposal fees for having a tire I bought there mounted. Spent about 45 minutes going back and forth from service to the cashier and back to service and back to the cashier and back to service to get it straightened out. This is about a 50 yard walk by the way. The kid behind thew service counter said if I didn't want to pay for "misc" he could take the weights off my tire (which I had mounted and balanced there). I laughed in his face then talked to a sales manager who gave me the "misc fees" back out of his own pocket. Then walked about 50 yards BACK to service to pick up my tire and argued with the service guy and the service girl (who also had an attitude from the start) until finally the owner came down. The owner made a snide comment about the age of my motorcycle. Then he walked me outside and said if I ever need anything talk to him or his son but then started talking to some random guy while we were in mid conversation. Real respectful.. That's the long and short of what happened in the service dept. Read the other reviews. I can feel the pain of the people who wrote them. Anyway. There are a lot of long 1star reviews on here. Then some ass kissing 5 Star reviews too. Hmmm.. I noticed something on the service counter - postcards that say they PAY you for a 5 star Yelp or Google review. Where can I start!? First of, my husband and I came to this location to buy a slingshot about a year ago, it took about 7 hours to finally leave there with the slingshot. The sales person at the time named Josh was taken too many customers at once, way more then what he can handle and not giving us the proper attention or proper customer service. This year we took the slingshot to get some things serviced at the shop there at the same location and it's been 6 weeks and they haven't done anything to it! I get it, it's peak season and so on but 6 weeks and can't give us an update! If they can't handle it, they should of told us they couldn't take it not have it there for 6 weeks and give an attitude and be rude when we call for an update! I'm so grateful for all the reviews I read on Yelp before being duped. MM gave me a considerably better price on a Vespa than any other dealer. After having read all the one star reviews I asked them to put the price in writing before I drove 90 miles to pick up the bike. At first they agreed and and when I didn't receive the quote after two days I inquired and I was told that "they don't really do. quotes" That was a huge red flag and all I needed to hear. I ended up purchasing from Brooklyn Vespa and paying more but the service, communication, and ethics were all there. read more

There's a lot of bad flak for these guys on Yelp but if you show up, know what you want, know the reasonable deal you're looking for and they can make it happen then it's all smooth sailing. Marshall was my sales rep, Nick the manager and they hooked me up with a deal that worked for me on a '17 Aprilia Tuono Factory. Quick and easy, no bs, no games either from Elias in finance. I showed up ready to buy and we made a deal. I told them when I wanted to pick it up and because I provided insurance ahead of time they had my registration and plates ready. They also have a known and trusted mechanic for Aprilia bikes which is hard to come by, who spent some of his time chatting me up on aftermarket options when I picked it up. Expect some wait time, these guys are busy and moving some metal to folks all over the tri-state area. I have referred others here who have purchased bikes and they had a great experience as well. Let's hope that this God awful place has improved since when I bought my bike here . Initially I put down a $500 deposit which I was told was refundable if I changed my mind. Since I had some apprehensions afterwards I asked for the refund back but I was denied. I told them then to apply that $500 to some equipment I would buy such as a helmet , gloves , and riding gear. The manager said he would not. I would have to purchase a bike with the deposit or risk losing my money . I was then told I would be allowed to use a credit card to purchase my bike only for them to say on the day of the purchase that they would charge me a 3% fee above our agreed upon price bc I was using a credit card . They didn't even prep the bike for delivery. It was delivered to me without a drop of fuel . I gave this horrid place a negative review on their website which they posted ..... ofcourse before posting it , they turned my feedback into all positive statements. Buyer beware of this place . Their expertise is in lying and cheating. If only I could give them 0 stars. read more

Have you ever been to dealership that told you to authorize repairs that were already done? Then the say they will only take cash or you won't get your bike back. On top of it they will charge you $35 per day for storage unless you bring cash. Welcome to Motorcycle Mall in Belleville NJ. The biggest scam in New Jersey. On top of it they don't even fix the problem why the bike is there in the first place. And the bike is still under factory warranty. At least my bike is back home now after being there for 10 weeks. This place is a scam factory. The sales department will lie to you and then have the sales manager try to tell you more lies and back pedal. The service department can't get ahold of anything specific and they'll only get annoyed when you want something specific. They just want you to give your bike to them, they do whatever they want(All premium pricing) and then overcharge you for parts and labor. Literally go anywhere but here. read more

Ok so this is gonna be lengthy so buckle up Dorothy cause Kansas is going bye bye !! Bought my first bike in 02 a klr650 from MM & they installed exhaust , handlebars , handguards & jet kit Part deux Fast forward a few yrs purchased a dorsoduro 750 @ MM & they did all the maintenance . The bike was a blast but a tinny fuel tank & tampon for a seat was a short lived love !! In the city she was fine even went up to Vermont but fueling every 105 miles !? Come on Aprilia !! If I could I would have a rsv in my garage right now .... The read headed stepchild Cue the ktm 1290 super adv after Honda denied me for finance Kim got me approved on the ktm !!(thank god Honda said no) ride home only to have an oil leak came back next morning and Ricardo took bike of trailer and started working on it !! Turns out when a hole was drilled for oil someone put a wee too much pressure cracking the cover !! Michele got a hold of ktm and they approved the removal of cover from a showroom bike !! During all this is was buzzing about bitching !! After that Ricardo is the only one I allow to work on my superadv !! 19k latter I start having problems after ktm heats up !! I of course turn to the gods of the interwebs and my problem matches !! Problem was ktm dragged their feet , yet Ricardo did everything in his power but couldn't replicate what was happening !! They idled bike for hrs , on the Dino ..... nothing !! Picked up bike ride to work damn near got rear ended coming home !! Called MM & Jeff dispatched a driver to pick bike from my house after 2 weeks karma intervened Ricardo spent hours trying to diagnose problem on the phone with ktm since no code was coming up ! Jeff found problem has I described (also made small video so they could see ) after hrs of idling , bike showed what was happening, meantime I had a weekend out with the boys and superadv waiting on new fuel pump !! I rented a victory cross country for $50 a day since both my Bikes where @ MM for service !! Finally got my dear 1290 super adv back which I proceeded to beat up for the next few days to make up for lost time !! Wife's chariot I liked the victory so much I just purchased the last victory vision @ MM !! Off coarse I strolled them down memory lane and got a very sweet price and even a new brain bucket !! (Yay) Veronica made it super easy and what a trooper !! After a dentist visit she came in to seal the deal !! Gran finale MM also did the 10k service on my Ural gear up , a bike they no longer sell ;0( !! I'm not the best costumer by no means !! But I know what I like , what I want and expect what I paid for !! These guys have gone way beyond their way for me and them some !! I have nothing but admiration and appreciation for everyone at MM !! So call it kissing up what ever makes u sleep better at night !! I'm very happy with my MM family and they know they have 3 Bikes of mine for service for the next few yrs !!
