Everything we ordered was incredible. The entire menu is halal. The beef kebab was tender and full of flavor, the chicken kebab was perfectly cooked, and the steak was just as good. But the real standout for us was the baklava. It's made in-house and served fresh and warm with ice cream, and honestly, I still crave it to this day. We ended up coming back several times during our two-month stay in Texas, and every visit was just as good as the first. I can't wait to try this again the next time I'm in Dallas!

Following a much needed *complete* renovation including new seating and improvements in the back…read moreof the house, this latest edition of Smokin' Grill Xpress appears to offer a much more reliable version of the enjoyable experiences it once offered. For one, staff seem to be trained well and stay around much longer nowadays while the kitchen staff are working much quicker and reliably to get your orders out. I used to regular have to ask for corrections but that hasn't been an issue of late. As for the food, they have seemingly doubled the size of their menu so there's much more for me to try out, but their classics like the Brisket, Philly Cheesesteak and especially the Zinger Fried Chicken Sandwich have seen marked improvements. That last comes out crispy, thick and with a spicy garlic mayo that's to die for. If they improve across the board like that it's a winner. This has definitely moved to deserve it's spot as a local institution I would recommend and if this trajectory continues, I'll probably be back later to bump up their rating.
