    Salmon medium rare
    Elisa G.

I was going to the food hall but decided to stop in here and check it out first and I ended up ordering the salmon, medium rare and the chicken which looks so good. The kids who work here are so sweet and helpful and I'm teaching them the difference between sparkling wine and Prosecco and regular wine.

This place is so cute! Love the outside patio area, red umbrellas and all. Employees are friendly, food is good, but all of my utensils were dirty and I asked for a second set, which also was dirty...this is the reason for a 4 star review. I ordered a veggie omelette, it probably was one of the best executed omelettes I've had. Fluffy, just the right amount of filling, flavorful and the accompanying salad was perfect! I ordered a cafe latte, very good and the small chocolate on the side was a welcomed treat. Bravo to the cooks here. We will definitely be back.

Heads up! They offer dinner now on Fridays and Saturday and itnis amazing. My Companion had the equivalent of shepherds pie which was awesome and I enjoyed the best French onion soup I have ever had, not too salty thi k with cheese croutons and pieces of onion. Not too thin. Value advice: Chardonnay is $10 a glass but go to the cooler and buy a bottle for $20! Service was so friendly! We will be back!

The Croque Madame was insane. I actually had to close my eyes for a second because it was so delicious... took home two croissants. Just ate one of them and had the same reaction. Just bloody stellar.

This location is spectacular! Located in North Beach right above the North Beach trail... so after eating you can walk off all the calories!! lol This location is an easy walk from our home so my dog really loves coming here! They have both inside and outside seating and you can have your dog with you either location. Service is easy... you order at the counter... although you can easily get distracted by all the goodies on display!, they give you a number and bring your food to you when it's ready. It's a very casual French cafe perfect for breakfast or lunch and seems to be a perfect stop for bikers! If you want a great French food experience this is a great choice!

My fav spot is Moulin for a bite...I usually go to Newport Beach one because its closer and also they have a small shop that have variety of french products and by being francophone and traveling to France many times this petite corner is nostalgia..I like this location because its so local and everyone know each other and you already know that they know you are not from town lol...Today i was craving for chocolate eclair so bad and luckily they had it...This cafe is so little in compare to Newport Beach one so the variety is too little and we didnt have so many option. Service was great. The young employee made us laugh somuch....They are always very welcoming. We also got coffee eclair too and two oranges made our day even more special! Don't forget to have coins for parking..

Moulin is my go to coffee shop. The people that work there are away friendly and helpful. Pastries, salads, sandwiches are all wonderfully tasty. If you are gluten sensitive, this is the place for you. All flour and butter is imported from France. Coffee is excellent. My favorite pastry is the almond crescent. So yummy! I highly recommend Moulin! Tony, Sammy and James are the best!

This is a cute little coffee shop/bakery near the beach in San Clemente. Their coffee menu is very basic so I just ordered a half-caff iced latte. It was good! Not so good that I'd come back just for the coffee, but I'd happily stop by if it was on my way or if I wanted some pastries too. I didn't get a chance to try their baked goods, but they had a lot of delicious-looking things. It seems like they're more known as a bakery than coffee shop. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have matcha lattes, since that's my current favorite drink, but I suppose they are trying to stay in their lane of just being a bakery.

    Sammy and tony!

What a gem this place is. If you live here or your visiting san clemente you need to come get a latte and a bite from sammy, james or t. This place is as close to a European experience here in the states as it gets. Great location seaside with tables out and in. Antoine manages this location and you can see the comradery with the staff.

Moulin is such a cute spot for breakfast and lunch. It's right across from the Ole Hanson Beach club and the beach/train station. You'll feel like you've been transported on a little vacay while you eat the delicious Parisian food while looking at the ocean and palm trees. They have a wide selection of grab and go items, like sandwiches, salads, and pastries. They also have wines and delicious sparkling drinks to enjoy. There's some indoor seating, as well as a few seats on their outdoor patio. Most parking will be metered parking. Also, please note that while the restaurant is open until 3pm, the kitchen is open until 2pm. They still have fabulous food you can grab and eat there until they close. Highly recommend stopping by Moulin for a little mini vacay while you eat!

    Pannini
    Brock H.

First time coming to Moulin for lunch! Cute little place on the corner near the ocean front. Ordered 2 Panninis, the croissant, fries, and salad. Everything was delicious, the fries tasted better than any burger joint I regularly go to. Prices aren't bad in comparison, about 40 bucks. The servers were kind and served the food up in less than 5 minutes! If you're in the area looking for food, I'd recommend stopping by for a bite!

The Paris Brest - the flavors and textures are so incredibly gourmet & it's amazing Parisian food without the tough travel logistics!!

The Moulin cafe in this San Clemente location is one of my favorite places in the world! The food was so impeccably outstanding and lovingly curated to be nutritious and/or authentic at the same time, the staff were all so full of positive energy and really went above and beyond in many ways, and the cool November air at the outside patio tables with an ocean view while I got to savor a stunning Paris Brest, an out-of-this-world delicious La Salade Moulin with the best ingredients including housemade chicken pesto and croutons, and an exquisitely superb Alain Milliat cranberry juice, really gave my body, mind, and soul a chance to reset and relish in the discovery of such an amazing place... it's like 3-in-1, with the Moulin experience that's second to none, the Parisian / French foods that I get to enjoy without dealing with the current obstacles I face in actually taking a trip to France, and the absolute grand serenity of being by the ocean in San Clemente. Thank you to the Moulin staff of San Clemente and also, of course, to the dedicated and visionary owner, Laurent, who is a magician with a big heart!

It's walking distance to the beach trail. Treat yourself to a coffee and walk along the ocean.

They essentially make a French folded omelette and then wrap a crepe around it and top it off with Bechamel sauce (kind of like Alfredo for those who don't know). Even though the menu doesn't mention the sauce, it comes with it. The Nutella Banana crepe was amazing with a generous amount of Nutella inside. Instead of having the chocolate drizzle on top, I wonder if they can do Nutella drizzle on top, in addition to the Nutella that's inside already. I highly recommend paying for the extra berries on top to keep it interesting. The side of nicely seasoned breakfast potatoes rounded out the meal. Be sure to ask for a side of ketchup! The menu was simple so we decided to stop, plus we needed outdoor seating for Cako. The young woman who was working was friendly and upbeat! Told us to grab whichever table we wanted. Even brought out water for Cako. I ordered the Frenchies sandwich, ham, salami, prosciutto, provolone and pesto! Very good! Scooter had the Jambon and fromage, which he said was perfect! Both sandwiches came with these seasoned crispy potatoes. The menu was small. But I'm sure they'll offer more. It is located in the beautiful historic town of San Juan Capistrano founded in 1776. The two-story red brick and wood building that the Restaurant occupy was constructed in 1883 and served not only as the town's courthouse which was Then presided by Judge Richard Egan. But it also served as Judge Egan's private residence on the second floor. Following years of vacancy, this building has undergone near total interior and exterior restoration, preserving its 1880s structure while converting it for commercial use. It is known as "Egan House". Years ago, prior to its restoration, i had the privilege of walking onto the front porch and peeking through the windows of this old courthouse as it was still vacant and, in its original interior state. Today. As i walked up these wooden stairs once again and onto the front Porch, i was immediately transported back in time. There is lots of free parking around the restaurant. The exterior has 2 outdoor dining areas. One on the side of the building and one along the narrow front porch baluster. The doors and tall windows look very similar. So i almost missed the front door if it wasn't for a printed sign that said "Entrance" next to the entry door. I must not be the only one :) The interior is charming and bright, and maintains its 19th century vintage character blended with modern and vintage decor. The walls are covered with Historical photographs. The indoor dining area is known as "Harmony Hall" There is also a small private dining area on the second floor. Great for a group or a celebration. There are 3 separate restrooms. 1 on the first floor and 2 on the 2nd floor. Not bad for an old building. You order first. Grab your number and find a table. As you stand in line, you'll find a free standing menu rack. I don't see this too often and i think that it's a great idea as that gives you time to look at the menu while waiting in line. As you make your way to the register, you walk along their display case that showcases all the pastries, cold sandwiches and food bar. I really like their menu. So many good dishes. And It offers something for everyone. I love that you can order any of the menu items all day. So, today, I had my breakfast at 2pm :) The menu is too long to describe. So, Please see photos for the complete 6 page menu. I ordered the Spanish Omelette, a peach ice tea with green tea. And for dessert i had a mixed berry crostata. I got my food in less than 10 min. The service was great. I did not realize that there was a self serve utensil and condiments station. So, my server was kind to get me some utensil and showed me where the utensil station was. The Spanish omelette has shredded machaca beef, peppers and onions. Topped with House Salsa, Cotija cheese, Crema and cilantro. I opted to leave out the Crema as i am not a big fan of sour cream. This was one of the best omelettes i have ever had. It was warm. The eggs were light and airy. It was packed with tender and tasty shredded beef. All of these ingredients combined with the delicious mild salsa, fresh cilantro and Cotija cheese paired incredibly well. It is a must have. The Mixed berry crostata had a soft crust on the outside. Moist on the inside with tons of berries partly melted into a marmelade. (I had them warm it up) It was not overly sweet at all which was great. The whole thing was lightly coated with powdered sugar. It was excellent. As for the Peach ice tea. Well it was just a good peach ice tea with green tea and light peach flavored syrup. It was refreshing. Great food. Generous portions. very reasonable prices and great service. Can't beat it. I highly recommend trying Ellie's Table.
