So we had one warm one by the time we get home. Pizza itself was alright. We got the cheese and the chicken club. The regular crust is medium. Thicker than I am used to, but good. Pizza is pretty good. Cheese and sauce were fine, thin crust not bad. Unfortunately it's hard to find proper pizza in Fairfield. Mt Mikes is better than the Strawhat which was here last year. The first time I had mountain mikes was a few months ago. I was doing inventory at work and my boss ordered us a couple pies. I was instantly a fan, and now I always come here to get pizza after work to go. The pizza are always fresh and the ingredients are so good. I came in and there was literally no one in site until I had to raise my voice to call for assistance. After standing there for 5 minutes someone finally showed up who seemed to be enjoying some show on their phone, no mask, & was awfully rude to me. I ordered just some mozzarella sticks and mind you the store was empty as ever; it took 20-25 minutes for my order. I'd be better off buying some frozen ones to cook at home. I then see another person who seemed like the manager also not wearing a mask and I was in shock. Nearly a year into the pandemic & restaurant workers especially their managers aren't wearing masks? This place has been making really good pizza for a long time. I have gone there to pick it up and it's always ready on time. I would give them five stars, except every time I have ordered the breadsticks the marinara sauce,is never in the box. I never notice it until I get home. But I would say that it is something that should be in there. I shouldn't have to check it? For good reason, I have recently been critical of the gradual decline of this restaurant; especially as it relates to COVID protocols. However, I have seen a slight improvement over the past several weeks; particularly when Gabby is running the show. To my surprise, although she's not even a shift manager, she clearly stands out. She conducts herself with professionalism, and adheres to COVID safety protocols. She knows her regular customers and warmly welcomes all, and thanks her customers for our business. As Mountain Mike's was originally intended, Gabby makes it feel like our local neighborhood pizza parlor. I continue to return because of her service. This review is for the delivery driver only; the food was great! I received a phone call saying they were there and could I come outside. I asked if he meant at the gate or at the house, to which he said my house. I said ok and he hung up. I opened the door and he was parked directly in front of the door so why he asked me to come outside confused me. Good thing he didn't ask how I was or say hello because I wouldn't have been able to hear him over his music blasting so loud. Doesn't say anything as he pulls the pizza and cheese sticks out just drops them in my hands, almost loses the chicken wings but recovers and drops that down as well. No thank you have a nice day nothing just turns around and starts to walk off. I laugh sort of incredulously and he turns around to look at me and I just shake my head. I've ordered from here multiple times since they opened here in green valley. What I've noticed is there isn't a lot of care when making the pizzas. I just received this for dinner for my kids because we didn't have time to cook today and this is so gross I feel terrible about feeding it to them. It's 12:30pm, stop in for the Buffett lunch. On the heated table is about 6 pieces of pizza. I ask when more will be arriving, the clerk tells me 5-10 mins, more like ten. This place is a scam. They advertise a buffet, but every time I go they don't have pizza. They always say it will be just a few minutes. I usually look to see if they have any ready before I order because they never do, but I asked the guy this time if they were making more. He said yes and asked what kind I wanted. Ate salad and drank my soda, and they never made any pizzas. I ate the only 2 slices left under the lights that were there when I walked in and they had to have been sitting there for a while as they were dried and stale. When I asked again they said 7 minutes. So they never put any in the first time. This is a BUFFET! I shouldn't have to tell you what kind of pizza to make. People go to a buffet to be quick. One star is being generous. Walked in to two members having casual conversation. They didn't even realize I was there. Also they were not wearing mask. Eventually one member came to the front. He did not remove the gloves he was wearing from food area, handed me a box, used the register( still wearing gloves) and then proceed back to the kitchen. I'm going to RoundTables, over in GV, next time. How this pizzeria got 3 stars is beyond me. I gave it 2 because of friendly service. I ordered the Everest and BBQ chicken. The owner gave us two large because they were out of the mountain mike size...added plus for them. When I opened the Everest, it looked deep fried. So much grease on the box. Ordered a large on a Sunday. It was a slow day as I was the only customer in the place. Called ahead for my order and they gave me an ETA for the food of 20 minutes. It gets to be 30 minutes later and then they tell me the pizza is about to go in the over. Because I waited around for so long I got to hear about why it was taking so long. The manager and his lackey were out for about an hour around midday. Which left only the delivery guy and receptionist.... this means the delivery guy can't leave cause he had to make pizza while the receptionist did her job. After the receptionist calls the manager named "Happy", him, his sidekick, and another employee come in and start making pizzas. Basically management ruined this experience for me. We had my son's 1st birthday celebration here, I gotta say, they have taken care of us very well. Customer service was great, food were served timely and was delicious. Happy (the manager) and his team, made us all very happy :) and taken care of.
