We get lunch delivered to my office from Mt. Mikes from time to time. My coworkers and I really like the Chicken club and the pineapple chicken Luau. They have decent pizza deals in the form of online coupons, mailers, and weekly specials (unlike the Round Table across the street). We used to dine-in here from time to time for their lunch pizza and salad deal, but have lately preferred RT's lunch deal. The salad bar was small, but seemed fresh enough. There was rarely anyone dining in so you got your pick of the pizza buffet. We were excited to see there was a Mountain Mikes in Ripon on a trip to see our granddaughter. However, this was the worst pizza experience we have ever had. We should have known when the place was virtually empty on a Friday night. We were really looking forward to great pizza, as we had last year on a trip to Santa Rosa. However, my gluten free pizza was burned as was my granddaughter's. My husband, who loves pizza, said his was the worst he ever tasted. In my opinion, the quality of the products used were not the same as those at the Santa Rosa restaurant. The only reason I even gave it a one star is that it seemed clean. read more

Okay I've had this pizza since I was first eating pizza, this specific location to be exact. Recently however it's been hit or miss. Sometimes it's good and sometimes it's god awful, especially when you get a pizza with a lot of toppings like all meat. Everytime I get all meat it's undercooked gooey dough and the cheese isn't all ye way melted and the meat is barley cooked. Leave it in for a more mins and it would be fully cooked. Because when it's good and fresh it's the best pizza in town, not sloppy like pizza plus and not as overpriced as round table. I was very disappointed with Mt. Mike's Pizza. Not friendly tonight. I ordered a specialty pizza at 7:15 which they said would take 45 minutes for delivery. So I decided to pick up. Ok, I go in and want to use my credit card, cashier proceeds to tell me they have been having a problem with their credit machine. So I ask if I can come back tomorrow with cash. She says no. So I asked for the manager. I tell her, that I don't have cash and I'm sorry that THEIR credit card machines don't work!! She proceeds to tell me that she's sorry, and they should've told me over the phone when I placed the order. Which they did not! She was not willing to let me come back tomorrow with cash either, so hence, I will never go back there again! I don't do debit. I've only been to this location a couple of times because every time I go we are treated very rudely. Our most recent experience was the worst yet. About two weeks ago, my daughter and her friend got there before I did and were waiting for me to get there to order. An employee there told them that if they didn't order soon they would have to leave, which is something I have never experienced any other place! They are young adults that were calmly sitting at a table and not bothering anybody. When I got there I sat down for a minute so we could go over what we were going to order, and the staff members were so rude and dismissive that I decided to just have us leave and not order anything. Will not be back and would not recommend this place to anyone. Besides, the pizza doesn't even come close in quality to Pizza Plus in town, so I would think that Customer Service would be a lot better and would try to secure some customers every once in a while. New owners are absolutely horrible to the Staff! I heard the new owner yelling at his entire staff how he could easily fire them all and hire replacements -and for no good reason. This guy was VERY confrontational and even bragged about how he threw things and broke things at his Manteca store. Mountain Mike's Pizza here in Ripon was one of my favorite places, but now I don't even want to go or support that place. Our young people in this town DO NOT deserve that kind of abuse. I will no longer support this location. No more Ripon Mountain Mike's for me! And if you're in a position to buy it from him...I have a feeling it will be for sale for a good love within a year. It's a chain and seems to function accordingly. Pizza is reliably edible, albeit a bit spicy pepperoni-wise. The place itself is fairly large, located at the corner pad of an aging strip mall. They have a partioned room off the the right side upon immediately entering for reserved groups. Not the most prettiest of joints, but seems clean and respectable. Francisco " the manager" is very rude and has just cost this franchise a local customer. I ordered a delivery at 745pm, a little over a hour later I called in at 850pm to see where the pizza was at, instead I get Francisco who was very annoyed I even called to check. The funny part was I never once asked to speak with the manager, I ask for the employees name to whom I'm talking to, and he proceeded to tell me I want to speak with the manager. So I said sure let me speak with the manager because you have a attitude problem. He proudly stated his position. Like it made any difference. Oh by the way This is the second pizza I've gotten cold and the second time I've had a rude experience with the same manager. The first time I let it slide because I figure the guy must be busy, but come on! You can't handle it, or you give zero effort in caring about the image of this company. Great pizza, everyone is super nice, the only problem is, very under-staffed. It's very slow here only because there isn't enough staff and all the workers are pretty young. A couple of months back I was making it a regular routine to go in on Tuesdays because the older manager did such a wonderful professional job and was truly engaging! and the pizza has always been terrific for an excellent price on Tuesdays! I love that they offer specials, I actually live in Tracy but when I called the mountain Mike's here in Tracy they can't even come close to competing with the quality and value of the Rippon Mountain Mike's.
