Most recently, I've been purchasing the triple play deal. One large pizza and two free sides. It's a killer deal and fills all three of my kids up for $29 out the door. This was my first time in a long time coming to Mountain Mike 's for their lunch buffet. First time at this location. My mom used to take us here when we were younger when they had buffet on Wednesday nights (different location though). [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was small but very clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They had 3 big screen tvs. The cashier was nice and friendly. The buffet offers 3 different kinds of pizza, bread sticks and a salad bar. Soft drinks are optional with a fee. The salad bar ingredients were fresh and delicious. I've been here twice and it was pretty decent. I generally would rather not support a chain, but it hits right in a quick fix. I prefer the traditional crust over the thin crust. The traditional crust is thicker and doughier with a soft chewiness that I enjoy. It's no drake's, of course, but it checks a specific C grade pizza desire. The thin crust doesn't have much to offer for me except less dough and more crunch (not particularly flavorful). I had to try the cherry pizza, it simply looked grotesque and I had to know. My expectation was fried dough with canned cherry on top and it is basically that. Honestly it was pretty good. I thought it would be very difficult to pick up a slice, but it was not as bad as I thought it would be. These are two-handed goopy cherry slices where the dough is basically your standard traditional crust with a lot of butter (I could see it pooling a bit, and I'm here for it). It comes with a "creme anglaise" dipping sauce, which is basically that kind of mildly sweet mascarpone/ricotta-ish cheese commonly found on or in cheap danish bakery pastries. Very tasty. I would consider getting again. Their Himalayan pizza is okay but I've found I mostly enjoy the pineapple luau pizza. The combination of sweet pineapple and savory meat gets me every time, nothing too complex about this, straightforward. The service is very nice here. read more

You can't call because franchise owner uses a cell phone for a business phone and mailbox is full. Ordered online from franchise website and got all the way to payment and then it said there was an error processing. But it still managed to take $55 for the pizza. I drove down to place and teens working register had no idea. This is bad business practice as this is the 2nd time this has happened. I'm disputing this charge and filling a BBB complaint. Get your pizza from Famous Pizza on Freeport. They won't screw you over. read more

This was not only unprofessional, but extremely concerning. What made the situation worse is that I am claustrophobic. Being locked inside a business without warning or explanation caused me significant distress and anxiety. Locking a customer inside a store is unacceptable under any circumstance, especially during open hours. This is not just a customer service issue--it raises serious safety concerns. Had a bad experience last time I went to RTP, they charged me an extra $10 for a large pizza, said the price went up, charged me $47 for a large I tried a couple other pizza restaurants near me and was extremely disappointed and both charged over $40. I came back to Mt. Mike's which has always been a close 2nd to RTP for me. The price had not changed, less than $40, and the pizza was great, good crust and lots of toppings. Whyyyy is this place so expensive?! We ordered a large pepperoni pizza and it was $26.99. A large gives you 14 slices for $27, a medium is $22 and gives you 12 slices. A $5 difference for 2 small slices, crazy. Not to mention this location is $1 more on most items than other mountain mikes locations. Service is hit or miss, we ordered and paid for a large and when we got home we realized they gave a medium pizza! I will say Mountain Mike's little pepperonis are delicious but everything else about their pizza is mediocre. We only strayed from our regular pizza spot because this place was closest and we had a coupon, but lesson learned. read more

The owner gave us bad feelings and passive-aggressively gave us signs he wanted us out. He acted like we were the plague, pests that will bring more pests. I live close by this location, so it's super easy to grab pizza on my way home from work. The staff is always super nice, pizza is always HOT and ready on time, and they NEVER make a mistake on the toppings (I can't say the same for other chains that occasionally make errors which I don't discover until I get home and open the box to my disappointment). I have come for the lunch buffet 3 times. I believe it is served between 11-2PM. The location is great located in the same complex as Raley's which is quite near to Land The buffet includes pizza, salad bar, and fountain drinks. Restaurant and restrooms are clean, nice and stocked with essentials. The pizza is fairly good. I can can say the owner should put out larger pizzas and more than 2. Variety is pretty good but keep in mind there are only 2 at a time. On a couple occasions I asked for specific types such as combo etc. The very nice staff said it was their policy not to take requests but they did honor my request. Another reviewer posted they honored a request for a "vegetarian" pizza. That is good. On the last visit, I could tell the owner was really trying not to put out much product. One small pizza came out with half pepperoni and half sausage etc. That looked a bit frugal. A couple of people rushed to get a few slices. I don't blame them. It's like making dinner for 8 when 10 show up. I hope this does not sound to harsh. Not many pizza places still offer buffet. I will return but I hope the owner can put out enough product to fulfill customer expectations. I'm not that picky but I would guess other customers might not revisit this establishment especially if they only have a limited time for lunch. Overall I do recommend this place. read more
