I've been to this location 5-6 times in the last 5 months and every time the staff has been friendly (including just now), accommodating and pleasant to interact with. If management monitors the Yelp comments, I hope, especially given the challenges the world generally and the restaurant industry specifically have faced over the last two years, I hop the work of the staff is recognized and rewarded. I'm sorry to say, I will NEVER order from here again! I had requested delivery service to a different address other than my home, the rep who took the order got my order but for some unknown reason was unable to deliver to the alternate address. This request caused such a raucous, it was way too much to ask for. Either that or the language barrier made it all the worse. I don't have a problem with people but when they give attitude because they don't understand the request, then maybe someone else should be answering the phones until they get better training is all I'm saying. Was our first time going in and eating at Mountain Mike's. We were immediately greeted as we came in. Very nice young lady accurately took our order. We sat down and before you knew it our dinner came out. We got pizzas, salad and wings. All the food was hot & delicious. I went to get change so my godson could play games and the employee was very kind. A gentleman named Austin checked on us and cleared our table, very courteous employees! The management/ owners should be very proud of their staff. Mountain Mike's in San Diego was a godsend during COVID-19 lockdown. My loyalty to it stuck with me from San Diego, to Irvine, then to Upland/RC. I am used to Mountain Mike's being a place where families sit down for a classic pizzeria experience. However, the Upland location has a bad vibe. I came in to look around once and saw 3 families ALL sitting in silence. Video games flashed just as quietly in the lefthand corner. There are maybe 10 video screens in the place, and they were all quiet. It was actually kind of creepy. When we finally decided to check it out together, we came in with a coupon but was told that the coupon was only good if we ordered online. So, weirdly, we ordered on our phone while sitting in the restaurant. No one was in the front almost the whole time we were there. The pizza was average, but the odd silence just really depressed me. We go out to eat to be part of the world, not silently contemplate our own mortality over a slice of pizza and soda in a cup straight from my childhood where I spent hours in Pizza Hut. Now that a competitor up the street offers GF pizza, I'll be switching my loyalty. Sad. read more

I'm posting this Halloween night. The staff there deserves a big pat on the back. This is one of the busiest nights of the year and my pizza was done right along with my side order. They also had to deal with not only a large amount of customers, but one of the most incredibly rude, arrogant, and flat out disrespectful grub hub drivers I've ever seen. She was screaming and yelling at the entire staff while they were getting orders out, helping customers, and communicating with the grub hub driver about her upcoming order. They maintained a good level of professionalism and remained calm even while being constantly confronted and yelled at. When receiving my order they were very apologetic about the wait, and the unruly grub hub driver. They also gave me lots of extra napkins, dipping sauces, etc. read more

I'm a people person and I watch and listen to everything around me. A family came in and one of their sons was a picky eater and only ate Mozzarella sticks but because of vendor issues he told them they didn't offer them at this time. The family ended up leaving and I heard about 15 mins later he found 4 pcs in a box and was so upset because he said he would have offered them 1/2 price so their son could eat and they could have ate here themselves.
