A quick tip to really make your money worth it: grab two bowls -- one for meat and one for noodles and veggies. Load up on as much meat as you can because it shrinks significantly after cooking. Take as little noodles as possible since they'll fill you up fast. Most people can only finish one or two bows, so don't waste your money by piling on too many noodles. Many previous reviews mentioned that this place used to automatically add a 6% gratuity fee even for solo diners. It seems they've stopped doing that, but they still add gratuity for larger groups.

The best thing I would say about this place is the people. I have been there a few times, and they don't really remember me or anything, but everyone is very helpful and nice. This pizza is really good, especially if you get more than just pepperoni, but it a bit over-priced in my opinion. The lunch buffet is great. They take requests on pizzas, which I have never heard of before. It can get really busy, as it is a very family friendly restaurant, but again, the service stays top notch, so it's fine if you don't mind the noise. The mojo potatoes (with nacho toppings like ground beef, salsa, guacamole, cheese, etc) are to die for! read more

My family and I enjoy going to Shakey's. We have visited many and we tried this Upland location based on reviews on Yelp. The moment we walked in we were warmly greeted and welcomed. The restaurant owner was warm and friendly and the atmosphere was fantastic. The restaurant was well maintained and clean. The selection and amount of pizzas put out for the lunch buffet was overwhelming. The selection and abundance of food we have never experienced at any other Shakey's before. I was appalled to see her not only disrespect her employees but to go as far cursing and yelling at a child in front of myself and my children! Horrible service at the register. Took almost an hour to get a medium pepperoni pizza, mojo's and chicken strips. They had my order to go. We were dining in. No plates, no ranch, no bbq sauce. The salad bar barely had any salad (only romaine). And we had to clean our table before we sat down. If it wasn't for baseball, I would probably never go there. All for the kids. read more

Just ate the buffet. Came in with a coupon. Pizza is good but tgey only put out thin crust. There were no desserts lije ice cream. I thinks its a bit pricey for the lack of selection. Especially if u get a drink. Most of the games eat your tokens. It is clean and has sports. Its a nice spot. Just wish it was a little bit more affordable. read more
