There aren't too many options down this part of the A corridor and I had wished I stopped at the Starbucks that was up by lower number A gates, but since I didn't feel like walking back, I stopped in here to grab a morning bite. The restaurant was clean and had good ambiance and I enjoyed eating here. Waitress gave good service and no complaints really. It gets 4 stars because the coffee could have been a bit better but on the bright side, the waitress did get me a refill of coffee, so that was nice. I had your usual breakfast plate of 2 eggs your style, potatoes, bacon or sausage and your choice of white, wheat or sourdough. I chose sourdough bread. Food came out quickly and breakfast tasted good. Prices are going to be higher in an airport so thats expected. They dont take cash, only cards and then tell you this a few times as you sit down. The last option for food and drink at the very end of gate A! Honestly I was pretty happy with my choices. The fried chicken wings were definitely freshly cooked and really crispy! Tangy buffalo sauce was nice. Pike place chowder is ubiquitous and featured at many of the eateries at the airport and this place is no different. Comforting and familiar! Seattle Airport is an interesting one, but coming from the world's busiest, I can't be too critical. The A Terminal twists and turns with plenty of restaurants along the way, but by the time you reach Gate A12, you're at the very end with little energy to walk back. Luckily, Mountain Bar Room is right there, and it turned out to be a solid choice. My flight boarded at 11 a.m., and breakfast was served until 10:15. I went with the western omelete, which came with seasoned potatoes and two slices of sourdough bread, plus an apple juice. My fiance and I had stopped by Wednesday afternoon for a quick bite. We sat ourselves and had waited about 5-6 minutes before by our server Kelby approached our table. Kelby was obnoxiously rude, she had thrown menus and napkins on the table and proceeded to walk away without uttering a single word. She took our order and immediately suggested we pay right away before delivering any water or food. A couple minutes had passed, San Juan (a different server) had brought us our food and was very attentive to our table thereafter. Before leaving my fiancé and I had thanked him for making our experience less uncomfortable & Kelby uttered the words "hilarious" under her breath. We love dining in here, but will not be returning due to the unprofessionalism and poor customer service we received. With tip, our bill was $62 for 2 orders of fish and chip with no drinks on Feb. 20, 2026. The deep fried fish was so thin and brown like it had been cooked hours before and under a heat lamp. Even so, after discarding the bread, the fish was very fishy and not in a good way. The fries were horrible too. We had a couple hour layover on our way home from Las Vegas and needed some food before heading over to the S gates where there wasn't any options for food. I really wanted a burger and fries before I got home from vacation and started eating my healthy food again. haha. We tried another place but it was at capacity, so we settled on Mountain Room Bar. We showed up despite the 2 stars on Yelp and from the get go it wasn't a good experience. There was one server who was running around, and a bar tender that was as well. It was pretty busy, so the service was lacking. I ordered the cheeseburger and a caesar salad, and my fiance ordered clam chowder. The burger was just meh... Not much flavor and wasn't hot. The caesar salad was awful. A bunch of lettuce that wasn't the freshest on a plate with parm and croutons. I guess it was a typical caesar but it wasn't it. Lots of the white parts of lettuce and not very green and the dressing was not good. The fries were also cold so they weren't good either. The only good thing was the clam chowder, but it was just par. When we had to leave to get to our gate I had to get up and find our waiter to pay and I literally stood right next to him at the register and he never once looked over at me and in fact walked away and went to do something else. I stood there for a couple of minutes and he walked over and printed a couple of tickets and then quickly walked off again before I could say anything. I finally got his attention after like 5 minutes and paid. I hope this place gets replaced with something better soon. read more

Because I had an early layover, I didn't get to eat before leaving Ashland. Looking around the airport, there wasn't much to choose from that looked appetizing. Since my gate was at the end of the A terminal, I decided to climb the mountain. It wasn't very busy so I took a table out in front. I would've rather had something from the lunch menu but they start at 10:30. So looking over the breakfast items, I chose the Santa Fe omelette without bellpeppers. When it came out, the omelette was hidden under a ton of salsa and a mound of sour cream. Commercial grade fried potatoes came with and a slice of sourdough toast. The potatoes could've been better, like add some onions and spices. The omelette was decent and the reason for the three stars is that the chicken was tender and flavorful. Also the service was friendly and attentive. Next year, I'll see if this Adriana is working and sit at the bar! LOl! read more

We chose this is our stopping spot in SeaTac and it was ridiculous. I paid $25 for a simple hamburger patty and some french fries. I have a dairy allergy and ordered a bacon burger with no cheese no bun. We got halfway to our gate when I opened it and realize there was cheese and no bacon. I had to take it back so I could have something to eat before we grabbed our flight. They have two staff and seem very busy with time to help customers. Burger was overpriced and still didn't have any bacon. Probably would've been quicker, safer, and cheaper going to McDonald's read more

So not sure this place deserves such a low overall rating. I ordered the Santa Fe omelette which came out quickly, was hot and well filled with chicken, cheese and vegetables. The breakfast menu is very limited but that's probably due to the current conditions. Wait staff were pleasant and friendly, checking regularly to make sure I had sufficient coffee in my cup. The waitress kept my soda filled. We enjoyed this restaurant. It was a bit of a hike, but this meant some open tables and quick service. We had burgers, fries, Caesar salad and ice tea. All hot, fresh, delicious and reasonably priced when compared to the airport competition. Pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. Service was very courteous and attentive. Also helpful - the owner kept the place open late to accommodate evening guests who were turned away at other restaurants that closed on schedule. One star removed due to plastic forks. Advice to the owner, go with metal utensils (except knives, of course) and ensure that your alcohol drink prices all beat the competition at least a little. We will definitely stop back in, as it's nice to have a place that serves good food and where service is pleasant and fast.  We were glad that we tried them, especially since we were starved and in a hurry. read more

The best thing I can say about my visit was that the service was adequate. I fly several times a month for work, so I say this with some authority... even within a category known for overpriced and mediocre food, Mountain Room stands out as being the second worst airport restaurant I have ever been to (the Anchor Bar in Buffalo stands alone). $35 (before tax and tip) got me a single beer in a plastic cup and a Bacon Swiss burger that could have been served at any community college cafeteria for $6. The meat was bland and had no sear. The cheese wasn't melted. The bun had no dressing at all. What resulted was a dry, sad, lazy burger. All of this I would have forgiven if the fries weren't a sloppy, soggy mess. Please learn from my mistakes. When the expectations for airport food are already so low, one star should make you run the other way. read more

A good first impression: "Excellent" rating from King County Public Health. We wanted to grab some food just before a flight and this was the nearest option to our gate. I stared at the menu for a while to try to find some mention of gluten free options but sadly there was no such thing, so I just made sure to mention it to the bartender while ordering two burgers with no buns (to go). The order was ready in about ten minutes and I was happy to see the GF label on the Metro Deli kettle cooked potato chips (flavor: original with sea salt) which came with each burger. The burger patty was pretty good (+ juicy!) and the red onion, two tomato slices, and pickle spear slice were good. Price: One burger with bag of chips was almost $13. I've had better burgers and more fabulous sides for about $13, but this is an airport restaurant so the price wasn't really a surprise. I wouldn't walk across the airport to visit this restaurant but will probably stop by again if I'm already at one of the gates next to them. read more

The horror. THE HORROR!!!! I thought, how bad can it be...and it was HORRIBLE. These people bring food to a new low. Prepackaged chicken fried steak with gravy that had a slightly rancid taste...probably from the preservatives. The meat product needed another minute in the microwave. It was eggs were poured from a milk carton. Bacon was from a deformed mutant pig and was shaved so thin you have to watch for bacon cuts. The potatoes were barely warmed up from their over long stay in the freezer. On top of that the coffee...it was flavorless colored water. I think this place has finally broken my desire to eat out. The thing about restaurants in the airport is that they don't *have* to serve quality food. You are basically limited to eating whatever is available at whatever price they choose to demand. This is called "price gouging" if a convenience store charges $20.00 for a bottle of water during a natural disaster. But, a bar in an airport can charge $13.00 for a shitty turkey sandwich during a snow storm and still be operating within the confines of the law. Seems like a double standard. The sandwich was, in fact, shitty. It was comprised of turkey that had that "been in the fridge for a while" flavor that means that somebody forgot to reseal the package. The cheese was hard around the edges. The tomato was mealy. The bread was that crappy hoagie roll that is either too dry or too dense. The service was apathetic. That's usually not such a problem. In this case, I can understand why the server was distracted. She was telling her colleagues about an ex-boyfriend or someone who has recently been released from prison prompting the need for a restraining order. Y'all. She's distracted. Can't say that I blame her. There was no excuse for that nasty sandwich, though. read more
