Portobello Steak

Nice selection of wine, cocktails, and vegetarian options. The calamari was not my favorite but the entree was delicious.

Beautiful set up for a retirement party in a private room.

Highly recommend this restaurant. Hosted a retirement party in a private room and the service was excellent. Joanne was on point throughout the night with Julio assisting as well. The food was delicious and the desert cart was a highlight-homemade cakes to die for. Well done!!!

Food is very good. Had the salmon and steak and they didn't disappoint. The calamari was awesome. Bread is warm. Limited coffee options eg no espresso and limited desserts. Service is ok. If you're focus is the quality of the dishes then you'll definitely enjoy this place. Wife enjoyed jelly rancher sangria.

Soooo good! For the value, you really can't beat what you get! The strip streak was so large I shared with my boyfriend and was only 32, coming with a side of veggies and potatoes! The calamari was also seasoned and fried to perfection, a must try! My boyfriend's bolognese was also extremely large portioned, enough for two people I would say. It was a little sweeter than expected but still yummy nonetheless. I also love the vibe of the restaurant it made me really wish that I was on top of a mountain! The staff is nice and they usually hold events on the left side of entrance. Definitely stop by if you're in the area! It's right off of exit 11 on 78.

Yummmm

My fav local restaurant!!!…read more They've had their scallop dish on their menu for a handful of years now - but it DOES NOT disappoint! Best scallops around. The service is always impeccable, they have specials, delicious cocktails and wine. Caesar salad, crab cake, lobster bisque and side of crab and leek risotto all delectable. I prefer the upstairs high top seating to the downstairs tables. Really nice to be by the window/in ambiance of the bar and oyster bar. I prefer here over Steakhouse 85 personally. Highly recommend making a reservation. It is a bit pricey but totally worth it!

I came to Salt on a Saturday evening, as part of a party of 6. Thank goodness we had a…read morereservation, because I don't think we would have been seated otherwise. Our party was situated downstairs at a nice round table. This really helped us share the seafood tower and pass clams around. Our group ordered the small seafood tower, and it was everything I could have dreamed of. It had a little bit of everything. The presentation was flawless. I am still in awe of the lobster. Dinner was also very good. Just about everyone ordered something different, and we left pretty happy. The only issue was the music. I don't know if this is the case for the entire restaurant, but the downstairs had bouncy ukulele covers for the entirety of our time there. It was also a bit too loud. I felt like I had to get up to hear someone sitting a few people away from me, or speak too loud to for shared space because there's a bouncy ukulele covers of Without You by The Kid LAROI. (No, that's not an embellishment. That actually played.) All in all, we had a great time, great food, in a beautiful space. Natalie was a very attentive service. But please, maybe some different music?

I've been a huge fan of Blue Fish Grill for around 15 years--since they were at their previous…read morelocation. The food here is to-die for, and is certainly one of the best restaurants in the area. I have friends who visit from out of town who specifically request to go to Blue Fish during their stay! The prices are great for the quality of the food. I always opt for the build-your-own entree. This time, I chose the brisket with a side of the caramelized plantains, but I also often go with the chicken, steak, or salmon with the pesto butter. No matter what you order, you can't go wrong. The staff are very kind and the service is quick. The interior is modern and up-to-date, paralleled by its brick historic vibe exterior, as the Stangl Factory building was once a pottery/ceramic factory. Now, the building is home to Blue Fish Grill, as well as a number of other businesses including an artist-owned gallery, a large pottery studio, a medium, and a yoga and physical therapy studio. Stangl also hosts a weekly artisan farmers' market and bi-monthly live music and art events. It really is a growing creative community. Blue Fish Grill doesn't have a bar, but they do allow BYOB. If you find yourself in the Flemington area, be sure to grab a bite at Blue Fish! It will surely be a meal to remember.

People love this place ... I say that because we were there late afternoon during the week and it was busy ... and it kept getting busier. I do understand why folks love it tho, because there's no other real seafood "shack" in the area specifically where folks can get their blue claw crabs. It truly does look and feel like a seafood shack because the wooden walls, brown paper on the table, paper towels on the table and overall decor scream "We are at the beach in a small southern town in the middle of nowhere where" lol Our server was great! She was very attentive and made recommendations... she was also very patient with us given that this was our first time here and we're a bit undecided on what we wanted to order. Now on to the food - this is honestly where I was underwhelmed. The broiled seafood had a whisper of flavor, the crab cake left a lot to be desired and the garlic buffalo shrimp were overwhelmingly buffalo sauce on top of fried shrimp. Now the clam chowder I had was amazing and I even ordered some to go. My friend enjoyed her crab legs meal overall and perhaps if we visit again that's the route I'll go. Oh and it's also a BYOB , so, be sure to grab your favorite bottle and bring it on in.
