I had a water pump replaced on my 2019 BMW X3, and only 3 weeks later the car had another issue in the same cooling system area. The shop charged me $2,100 for a "water pump housing" repair with no adjustment or accountability for the recent work done. This feels like incomplete repair planning or at minimum poor communication, since these components are related and commonly addressed together. Being charged full price twice within weeks for work in the same area is frustrating and not what I expected. I would recommend others ask detailed questions about what is and isn't being replaced during cooling system repairs. read more

This is going to sound dramatic, but this is just how I write. I literally do NOT stress about tires on any of our personal or business vehicles EVER because of this place. The nicest staff, most caring customer interactions, and they ALWAYS figure out my craziness. Long story short, I have a bunch of weird vehicles with tires - one of them being for our Horse Trailer Bar. I called them literally last minute, because something happened to one of the tires on site at an event. They QUICKLY found the exact whitewall tire, had me pull into the shop, right there, replaced the tire, and even cleaned the white wall (they come BLUE) so it was fully ready for the event that very next day. Still not convinced? Here's another - I have a 69 Mustang. I needed them to replace my tire valves because they just got too old sitting around in our garage. They also did this within a few mins, and even had the care to line up the text on the tires with the "GT" on the hubcaps so I don't look like a dork. This place has our business forevaah. i had a very bad experience with this shop .. My husband took our car in for an estimate to repair a problem with the heat in our car, He had our car repaired with them a few months earlier. They charged $130. to diagnose the issue.. I went to them a few days later asking why. They said they always charge to diagnose as people frequently don't have their cars repaired there. Alan the manager told me that they would refund the 130. .. they never did. I've been coming here for the last 10 years and have always received great service. I knew my tires needed replacement soon and got a second opinion from them. I worked with CJ and he gave me an honest answer and didn't pressure me to buy anything. They had the tires I needed in stock and during the work they also found out my brake pads needed replacement. They were able to change the tires and work on the brakes and I received my car in a few hours. As always they're efficient and give honest opinions, I will continue to take my car here. read more

Mountain View tires was awesome when I pulled up Nick was understanding when I told him I hit a huge pothole and I'm only looking into getting one tire replaced since other front tire was 5,000 new. He was very understanding and helpful. Yes the price was high but understandable in an economy like today and them being a small business. They also offer tire insurance! On time pay $25-35 depending on brand tire which covers the tire up to 3 years of damage from a nail or pothole. It's Overall great job. I would recommend! read more

Bought a Groupon for an oil change. Leo told me was going to be done in 3 hours. Leo didn't have good customer service and a willingness to get things done. He would just explain and literally walk away from me. 3 hours for an oil change is crazy. I waited for 3 hours and still wasn't started. I ended up taking my car and walking away. He redeemed my Groupon without the service being rendered. I basically paid them $30 to wait 3 hours. Highly not recommended. Never coming back. Customer service below is a facade and not helpful. I went in to Mountain View Tire on 6/23/25 @ 4:30 for an oil change. I was told by an older gentleman that I need an appointment because it takes 2 hours for an oil change and they close at 6:00. I made an appointment for 7/1 @ 4:00pm. While doing the paperwork, the sales associate (Allan M) mumbled something about $169. I said wait what?? He said oh no, you have a coupon. So, I left my car and went across the street. I was called at about 4:45 and given recommendations of additional services. I declined and was told my car was ready for pickup. I went back and was told I owe $100. I then proceeded to ask Allan what I was being charged for and he started rambling various fees. I then asked to speak to the manager because I was never told about these fees and would have never paid $169 for an oil change. He stated he was the manager and those are the charges. I then asked for a corporate number because I don't have an additional $100. He couldn't find said number. I then asked for a number of his boss and was given a number. I seen I was not getting anywhere here and left. The business practice here is deceitful and unreputable. The charges should be upfront and clear. The guy knew exactly what he was doing by covering additional charges and should have clearly stated that when we talked about the initial price and the coupon. I would not recommend this business to anyone and will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. read more

We used them before and had no problem however, this time I believe there is fraud involved. We had then do about a $1000 work a month or so before and then the vehicle did the same thing while driving, it stopped dead, Husband took it there and asked if we wanted to go ahead and have them diagnose and they did and then reported this time is was a timing chain and would check around for parts. He called us back and said his mechanic had to go out on maternity leave so they could not do the job. My husband asked if they only had 1x mechanic but was ignored. This company ended up refusing the job AND charging us 124.00+ for the diagnosis anyway and we had to do another tow back home. They refused to wave the diagnose charge after they refused to provide service. My husband and myself are seniors, handicapped and he is a service veteran. Pretty trashy was to treat this population. I have been going to Mountain View Tire for years. I bring my car, my dad's car, my wife's car, and now both of my kids bring their cars to Allen. My dad always said you need a good doctor and a good mechanic, and we feel lucky to have Allen. My ten-year-old Nissan has 140k miles, and Allen and the staff at Mountain View Goodyear keep it going without issue. Also I do have a lower car and have had many tire replacements, tire brands and never rubbed tire. But the tire they gave me started to rub because it was extra thick. So obviously I'm going to come back after spending 500 on a tire and one stud. Asked for some time of change or compensation. Was deny because my car is modified. I was also ripped off by their Groupon scheme. I purchased the Groupon to get my oil change for $60. My car takes 6 quarts instead of five so I imagined there would be a price difference. I was told it would be about $12 for the extra quart. Well surprise surprise, the difference ended up being about $30 instead. I specifically told the guy I wanted to know the difference before I bought the Groupon as it was non refundable. The employee kept deflecting that he had no control over Groupon which is correct, however he failed to give me an accurate estimate and I was stuck paying a total of $90 for an Oil change. I guess they needed to leverage Groupon to get costumers so they can get people stuck with their outrageous prices. read more

Discovered that my Costco tire had a puncture and was leaking air quickly, so I went to a nearby Costco but they wouldnt take me at 4:30pm and said their appointments were booked for a week. Called another Costco and they said the same thing, so I had to find another tire shop. Found Mountain View Tire and Auto and the guy who answered the phone was friendly and said yeah they could take a look and try to repair it, even if it was late in the day. By the time I got to them it was 5:15 pm and they close at 6pm, but they understood my urgency and desperation and kindly took in my car for a look at the leaking tire. They found that it was repairable and did the job quickly for a very reasonable $40. These guys are a life saver and I would recommend them to others! read more

I had been waiting for several minutes, no one around in the lobby. As soon as this guy walks in, I saw through the window that a mechanic dropped what he was doing and walks quickly to the lobby to greet the guy. I had a tire that needed to be replaced. And the price he gave me was $70 higher than what I had paid a month prior at another mountain location for the same tire. When he tried to scam me, I brought out the receipt from the other location. Showed it right to him and he tried to give me a history lesson as to why I needed to be charged that extra $70.. needless to say I did not trust him to gracefully replace my tire. After trying to school me on tires I told him to just throw the donut on there and I'll get my tire replaced somewhere else. Do NOT give this company your business! My elderly mother took her car in for an oil change and regular check. She had an appointment and was ignored for 30 minutes. She approached a man who was on the phone who rudely told her that he was "on a conference call" and told her to sit down. After 15 more minutes, my mom approached the only mechanic in the garage. Before he could reply, the man on the phone interrupted and told her again to sit down or come back later. This is unacceptable behavior for any business to treat its customers. Changed my bmw m3 tires here couple times over the years and always got charged btwin 35-40$ today they said 50$ each tire and on top of that ur tires stretch our equipment and breaks the plastic barring on top of it. This business must have changed ownership or management within the last couple of years. Their prices are now outrageous. As an example, I got a price of $1450 for a set of 4 Michelin tires for my Accord. I know prices have risen due to Biden inflation, but I got suspicious. I called around and found the EXACT same 4 tires mounted and balanced at a tire shop in Quartz Hill for about $850 for a savings of $600. The also tried to charge me $50 per wheel simply to dismount some old tires from some wheels...something the other tire shop did for free. I used to love this store for the friendly customer service (still is) and close location, but I can no longer justify the crazy price differences. Bringing your car to be serviced at Mountain View is a risk I couldn't warn stronger against. The manager, Allan Mendez, admitted to the shop misdiagnosing a shaking my car was experiencing during acceleration to be because of it needing front axel replacements. This was proven wrong when they took my car on a road test after they replaced the front axels and continued to drive it while it continued to experience shaking during acceleration. They drove my car while it continued to shake during acceleration until it broke down on the side of the road and they had to push it back to the shop. Wouldn't a competent shop stop the road test as soon as they understood their diagnosis was wrong? Why they continued to road test my vehicle and worsen its condition in the process is beyond me. But the fact is, I was able to easily drive my car into the shop that morning for it be serviced and eventually had to tow it out because it could no longer drive. Beyond admitting to misdiagnosing mechanical issues to my car, Allan Mendez admitted to the shop performing work to my car without my authorization, admitted to multiple instances of poor workmanship which resulted in further damages to my car, and admitted to withholding information from me about what they considered to be possible causes of the mechanical issues my car was experiencing. Also, is it Mountain View policy to continue to perform work on customer's cars past business hours without the customer's authorization? I had to call Allan less than 20 minutes before close if I would still receive my car the day I brought it in (something Allan promised me multiple times throughout the day), and Allan didn't answer the phone. So I had to be dropped off at the shop to inquire, because I had to travel early the next morning for work and needed to know if I had to make arrangements because Mountain View couldn't guarantee what they promised. There I waited over two hours, considerably long after business hours, for Allan to complete work on my car. It was then when he told me that my car broke down on the side of the road during a road test they took it on. Why did Allan guarantee I would receive my car that day when it was something he couldn't guarantee? Is his discernment of mechanical issues with automotive vehicles that poor? Today I have my car back but it still doesn't drive since it broke down on the road test Mountain View took it on. Allan refused to compensate me for worsening the condition of my car to the point that it cannot drive and I am faced with thousands of dollars of repairs to undo the mistakes Allan and Mountain View made to my car. Sharing my experience with others has already convinced many people in the Santa Clarita community to never consider bringing their car to Mountain View again. My experience was so extraordinarily poor and I'm still faced with the consequences. Mountain View has proven to be a shop incapable of guaranteeing good service but very capable of worsening the condition of your car to the tune of it needing thousands of dollars of repairs. Why would others risk having a similar experience? I wouldn't trust Mountain View to inflate my tires. I was able to make a formal complaint against Mountain View with Monro, Inc. and currently have an open case number with them. I hope to be compensated for Mountain View's extremely poor quality of work to my car. Last thing - does Allan Mendez give his own shop good reviews to make up for its poor reputation (see the screenshot I've attached that I found on Google Reviews)? If so, what does that say about the quality of service one can expect from Allan and Mountain View? I came in a while ago and bought my tires here as a replacement. (My father wasn't happy) I noticed one of tires was losing air and so I put air in it and again it went flat. I came in and they did an inspection and informed me that for repair it was going to be $30. They ended up finding out that I had two punctures in my tire and recommended me to get a new one. When I stated that I had bought them there they told me I would get a new tire and just pay the warranty. My total came to 16$!!!! Aside from them just doing the replacement, the customer service by a gentleman named CJ was phenomenal. Very friendly, very attentive, even while being busy. I will never go to this place ever again. It's a total ripoff. We took my son's car to get the oil changed because the service engine soon light came on. They changed the oil and when we picked up the car I asked them why is the service engine oil light still on the told me they don't check unless we tell them to which I did. He wanted to charge me $100 dollars to check the code. I said forget it. And they wanted to charge me $600 dollars to replace a front axel. I'm never going there again all they want is your money and charge you outrageous prices. We went to Grand American tire to Dave and they were great. I was in the area of this tire/service shop and had them do my oil service, rotate my tires and balance my wheels. The wheels are new and so are the tires. I paid 230 for the service and left. Before I got to the freeway the rear end of my vehicle was vibr ating ten times worse than when I dropped it off as a matter of fact when I dropped it off it didn't shimmy or shake it all but I can tell it needed a little bit of a balance I called the shop and asked them if they did the balance job and the rotation, before I even got the question out of my mouth, the manager said, we did the balance on the wheels. I was at the shop the entire time the vehicle was their and he didn't leave the office while I was their so other than taking his techs word for it, how could he be so adamant about a service he himself never saw performed? I didn't want to have drama in my life with this manager so I said maybe he missed one of the wheels, and again he was quick to tell me they didn't miss any wheels. I drove 3 hours before stopping at a les Schwab tire center and having the balance work actually performed. The fact is this business charged me for work that they didn't do or that they did horribly. I'm giving this place 1 star for doing the oil service, 1 out of 3 services paid for and I will reach out to their corporate manager and ask for my money back. Side note. The Les Schwab service technician told me that he balanced all four tires and that all but one wheel required counter weights. The Cadillac now drives and rides like a caddy. Extremely expensive, I went in for a tire because my tire was flat due to pot hole, 2020 toyota Camry. They charged me a total of $272 $170 for a tire an additional $50 to put the tire on and $30 dollars for warranty. Typically shops don't charge to put a tire after purchasing it from them directly.
