I took a group of 8 casual work acquaintances, looking to accommodate any dietary restrictions esp mine, and still have a fun and different meal. I think I hear my Nobel prize for "work event dinner planning" speech in my head! Ok, let's give some credit to Moustache! Everything was superb. We ordered a bunch of stuff for the table, people tried things that were new to them and everyone found something they loved. Then, people's individual dishes. All less experimental but a good balance of comfort to adventurousness. Look at these pics! I promise you it tasted, and smelled, as good as it's looking!

Cozy little restaurant serving up some of the most delicious hummus and freshly baked pita breads! We stopped by for dinner on Sunday and did not have a line, however when we were leaving there were parties waiting outside in the cold! Our server was welcoming and made it a warm environment. However what was cold about this restaurant is that it is literally cold! This is a small place, about ~10 tables fitting 20 people and the setup is not ideal with the entrance door in the middle. So basically every time someone comes in or out, the entire restaurant feels the cold! And it was a COLD night! Not an ideal set up. We ordered multiple dishes to share! Such as the hummus, cauliflower (so good!), the moussaka, pitza Moustache, lamb kebab, all super delicious! While I greatly enjoyed the food, the setup of the restaurant is not ideal and prone to catching a cold while eating (especially in the winter) as the entrance door is smack in the middle with no buffer or barrier catching the cold. Definitely recommend them to do something about that.

Decent food, but some of the worst service I've experienced in NYC. We had a reservation for a party of 6, and were told to wait outside (below freezing) until all members had arrived. Our whole party was present less than 15min after the reservation time and we told the host we were ready. We proceeded to wait on the street in the cold for *FOURTY FIVE MINUTES*, checking in every 10-15min to see when we would be seated and either told "soon" or "a few minutes" every time. We were eventually seated nearly an hour and a half after our reservation time. There was never an apology for not even trying to honor our reservation time. They even had to gall to include a mandatory 20% tip on our bill, plus a line for additional tip. The food was fine, but portions were small for the price. The pitzas and moussaka were flavorful but the ouzi was very bland. The hummus ($12) was forgettable. The baba ganoush ($12) was good. They arrived with two pitas each, which we didn't order so assumed they were included. They later appeared on our bill for $8. As the kitchen closed, the server brought us a "milk flan" which was ok, and a rice pudding, which was absolutely awful. Most people dining had to keep their winter coats on throughout the meal due to the strong draft every time the door opened. Would not recommend dining here at all, but absolutely avoid in the winter.

Moustache has some solid Moroccan cuisine and I'm glad that I finally got around to trying it with my Moroccan friend who also enjoyed it. We ordered the chicken kebab and lamb kebab as our entrees. Both of them were very good but different. The chicken kebab stood out to me though, they were cooked really well and the lentil purée was a nice touch.

We were pleasantly surprised to come across this place serving some favorite Mediterranean dishes. The place is arguably small and casual, but thanks to outdoor dining they were able to add some more diner. They do not take reservations, so we decided to dine here on Saturday night slightly early to avoid peak hours. True enough at around 7 pm this place is bustling. For a nice July summer weather what better way to start dinner than a chilled bottle of Sauvignon Blanc? We then ordered freshly baked pita bread and hummus, it was simply delicious. We then shared a pitza (pizza) and lamb kebab served with white rice, both dishes are delicious and perfect for sharing. The service here is friendly and efficient and we will come back to try their other dishes such as baba ghanoush and chicken kebab.

I've been to NYC three times in about 18 months. Different seasons have rhyme and reason. Moustache keeps raising their bar of excellence. In August, I went to 90 Bedford and noticed they closed. I looked online and noticed a different location less than 6 minutes away with the same name. And, I was in luck! They relocated to a bigger and better location. Business is good in a better location. Their outside seating is open and they offer more tables. Signage is noticeable from the street - and service has picked up quite a bit. We had a wonderful experience at their new location. I'll be back when I visit again to see their growth and continue to wish them only happiness and success. Congrats Moustache!

Amazing staff and friendly service. The food was good but I wasn't too found of the seafood pitza. It was a bit watery. The chicken ouzi was delicious with the flaky dome and flavorful rice. Interesting Mediterranean beer. Love how they offered us baklava at the end for free. Overall, would come back to try other items. Outside seating is very nice.

Had made reservations for table of 4 for around 12:15 pm, when the place was relatively quiet, but it got absolutely packed by 1 pm on a Sunday afternoon - so reservations highly recommend if you have a larger group! Inside seating was very cozy, and they have outdoor seating (not winter friendly). We started off with some beverages which included a delicious serving of Ayran ($4) and Turkish Coffee ($5), both were amazing. They also have a good list of alcoholic beverages including some local draft beers. We ordered some Mezzeh which included Nivik ($10), Baba Ghanouj ($10), and Muhammara ($10) and 3 Freshly Baked Pitas ($1.50 ea). Muhammara was absolutely delicious and this was the first time I had freshly baked pita - what a difference that made! For mains, I got the Falafel Sandwich ($10), and our table got the Lamb Kebab Plate ($18) - shared by 2, and I could tell that the meat eater thoroughly enjoyed their Lamb kebabs! Falafel sandwich too was very tasty! What we liked was a menu which is really well priced, a very friendly staff, and food that arrived within 20 minutes of ordering, in spite of being relatively busy. Noise levels were at average level. I would highly recommend this place for excellent Mediterranean food and will definitely visit again!

The old location was perfect !! The new spot does not have the same rustic, cozy ambiance but Moustache is often a go-to for me. The owner is always in there and this place speaks "labor of love." The pita is my favorite in NYC, ranking above 12 Chairs, Shoo Shoo, Shuka, etc. Make sure to order the whole wheat pitas (they have more flavor) and also, mint tea. The food is simple, you won't be "wowed," but it's soul warming.

Amazing, fun, creative, healthy, tasty, middle eastern food with great service, good people/owner. I lived in NYC for 10+ yrs and still go back to this place every time I am in town. My favorite. Oh, can I say how consistent they are even with moving couple of blocks now on 7th. Professionals in every way.

This is honestly one of my favorite restaurants in nyc. The food is all amazing and authentic and very very reasonably priced. I've been here a few times. Their hummus is phenomenal. Also chicken plate is amazing, chicken is so tender and cooked to perfection on a bed of lentils. The pita is made fresh to order delicious light and fluffy. All the pitzas look great, I tried the lamb one and really enjoyed it! I will continue to return here and excited to try more of the menu. The ambiance is pretty chill, go with a friend or two or you can even go alone for a nice experience. Service is a bit slow, but they definitely let you take your time and enjoy..

First time trying out this spot tonight. Food was pretty delicious, decent portion size, pretty good price. The drinks weren't too bad, it's very different from what we are use to drink in New York but in a good way. If you want something out of the ordinary, we recommend trying the Ayran and Loomi. The only reason I did not gave a 5 stars because the service is slow and we waited close to 20 minutes before someone took our order. but the customer services were still friendly even with the wait.

Very reasonably priced middle eastern restaurant in Greenwich Village. It's a small and cozy place. I had baba ganoush, moussaka and baklava. My friends had ouzo and mergers platter. The yogurt and fruit looked beautiful. Everything was delicious.

It was a little hard to hear and converse at times as it gets crowded, but the food was delicious and there are really unique items on the menu. Food: The duck shawarma was one of our favorites! The lamb and scallops were also flavorful and tender. The dips were delicious with the pita, but I wish the serving size for the dips were bigger. The fries were great - well seasoned! Also recommend the milky pudding, it was a nice refreshing way to end the dinner. Service: Our server was super helpful in letting us know what items are more shareable and his suggestions for cocktails. Definitely try some of the arak based cocktails. We were lead upstairs to a table. There were 7 of us The seating was cozy but not cramped. We started with 7 family style small dishes: Hummus with Falafel Pops (chickpea purée, tahini, falafel, olive oil), Spring Burrata (roasted cherry tomatoes, toast, basil oil), Hamachi Crudo (passionfruit vinaigrette, citrus zest, cucumber, mint, sesame tuile), Scallops (carrot puree, serrano pepper, brown butter sauce), Tenderloin Skewer (zaatar chimichurri, fresh herb salad), and Shiitake Stuffed Grape Leaves (tomato coulis, yogurt foam, herbs). Everything was delicious. The hummus was well seasoned the falafel had a nice crunch. It went well with the warm puffy gyro bread that came to the table. The burrata was wasm and creamy. I love the vinaigrette on the fish. I ended up eating most of it. The scallops were the sweetest, most tender ones I have ever had. The tenderloin skewers were tender and well seasoned. I liked the grape leaves but the rice consistency was very soft almost mushy and you can barely tell there were mushrooms. There was barely any mushrooms flavor. Next we all chose an entree. I got the duck breast, my husband and daughter each had the beef tenderloin. The duck breast was smaller than i expected. The skin was nicely seared and very crispy but boy did it give my jaw a workout. It was done medium rare. It was juicy but tough. The small beef tenderloin was tender and smoky. The waiter poured the sauce over the tenderloin for added flavor. Finally dessert was a fruit plate with ice cream and pudding. The fruit was fresh and the flavors of the ice cream and pudding unique. It was a nice end to a good brunch. The price was a little expensive at $85 a person.

I got there right at our reservation time, but the uptown trains had completely stopped and my friend had to walk all the way from Canal St to the East Village. It took her about 30 minutes to get there (), but the staff were so kind about it. They never made me feel uncomfortable or pressured to order while I waited, which I really appreciated. I did end up ordering a couple things so there would be food on the table when she arrived. We got the za'atar fries and the falafel with tahini and pita. Delishhhh For our mains, my friend got the chicken kebab which looked fantastic, and I got the veggie couscous bowl. It was unbelievable. It tasted exactly like the couscous my mom and safta made when I was growing up, even down to the broth being served with it. Eating it honestly made me feel like I was six years old again. This was one of my favorite meals as a kid and I haven't had it like that in so long, so I was so happy to find a place that does it this well. The vegetables were perfect with zucchini, butternut squash, cauliflower, and chickpeas, and I loved the addition of raisins and onions. Everything was also really reasonably priced for what you get. The energy in the restaurant was great and I loved that they have hooks for coats so you're not crammed at the table with jackets and bags. Overall just such a fantastic experience. Rather than immediately posting a public review, I contacted management privately because I believed they deserved the opportunity to address the situation professionaly. Their initial response was that they would review the incident internally. After I followed up, they specifically offered to send me a complete ingredient list for everything we ordered so I could review it with my healthcare provider. I accepted that offer but, the ingredient list was never sent. Months later, there has still been no meaningful follow-up. My frustration isn't about demanding compensation or proving what caused the reaction. It's about customer care and accountability. Making promises that are never fulfilled leaves the impression that guest concerns only matter until the bill is paid. Once our $471 tab was settled, the commitment to help simply disappeared. The food and atmosphere may attract people, but how a restaurant responds when something goes wrong is what defines its hospitality. Unfortunately, based on my experience, the follow-through did not match the promises made, and I can't recommend a restaurant that handled a serious guest safety concern this way. Its NYC, 1000s of restaurants will charge less serve higher quality ingredients and treat you with greater hospitality, and this place is located in midtown east.
