I used this company bc of they had the best Yelp reviews. Then I found out later, it's because the hound you and hound you to write one. So bear that in mind. Also, it depends on which crew you get. I had Sherzod and his guys. The good: They worked hard, were efficient and were professional. The bad: The boss, Sherzod, made me feel like he hated me for the first 2 hours of the move. I was actually afraid of this guy. Every time i would give a suggestion, he would stop the whole operation and make me sign a long waiver. This happened, i kid you not about 5 times. I got the idea that he wanted me out of the way and silent. He actually shouted at me "Hey I know how to load my own truck!" Of course you don't have the option of cancelling, this is your only move day so I was as nice and compliant as I could be and he loosened up toward the middle of the move. They moved me from my old house and into storage. When it was time to move from storage to the new house, I used Secure Moving Service in Huntington Beach and it was ten times better. Also, when I paid my deposit, it went to an international bank. I called and asked for a refund and to use a domestic bank and the second deposit also went international. Would give them zero stars if I could, we used them 2 years ago but I am now finding the time to finish the review I started back then. I had decided to use them based on their 5 star reviews; I had moved just two years before using a moving company I had no complaints about, but who didn't have many Yelp reviews, so I had decided to try a well-reviewed company in hopes of getting even better service than the company I had used prior. Our move was from a 4 bedroom house to another 4 bedroom house just 1.5 miles away. It took them almost 12 hours when we had moved almost the same amount of stuff and a greater distance (25 miles) in 7 hours using the other company. The last time, we had a lot of unpacked/loose items that the movers had to pack up for us so I was sure that this move would have finished faster. Dmitry and his guys were unusually slow, they moved so many of the items one box at a time, even light ones that could have been stacked on top of each other. If you watch efficient movers, they stack the boxes/items on top of each other, tape them up, and haul them out together to save time loading and unloading. It got so frustrating for my husband and I to watch them move at a snail speed that we started helping and we ended up helping a LOT. We even packed our minivan with stuff and made 3 trips to the new house in hopes of saving time, but they STILL took much longer than our last move. With our last move, we didn't have to lend a hand or lift a finger and they still finished faster with no damage to any of our belongings. So let me get to the damage part..I saw them trying to squeeze our stainless steel practically-new refrigerator through the gate on the side of our house (they were moving it via the backyard door). The gate was a very tight squeeze for the refrigerator due to big bushes that got in the way. As they were trying to maneuver it past the bushes, I stopped them after watching for a minute to ask them to move it around the other side of the house where there is a bigger clearance, which they ended up doing. When the move was finished and they unwrapped the saran-wrap-type of plastic wrapping they used, they had me check the appliances for damage. I quickly saw that they had scratched up my fridge and made a dent in it (not surprised at all because those bushes had very thick sharp branches that I saw scraping against the fridge when they were trying to squeeze it through). When I pointed it out, I was offered a very small discount on the total bill to compensate for the damage, not nearly enough to compensate for having to look at a scratched up/dented almost-new fridge for the next 10 years. In addition to the fridge, they did the same to my almost-new washing machine. When they were trying to move it out from the back of the house, they ended up scratching the door of the washer very badly against the stucco wall of the house, same scenario as the fridge. The scratches are much worse than those on the fridge since stucco scratches worse than branches. They also broke my patio umbrella base while they were rolling it out of my backyard. We were extremely unhappy with the movers, but I ended up still tipping fairly well because I understand that the labor involved is not fun, it's tedious, back-breaking work and nobody enjoys it. If I could give them ZERO stars I would. We scheduled a move with this company for August 29 and paid a deposit a week prior after getting quotes from multiple companies. We were told that the movers could arrive anytime between 2-6pm. I called around 4:30pm just to get an ETA and was told the crew was finishing up their morning move and would be contacting us shortly to let us know they were on their way. However the call around 5pm following that was from Miley, letting us know the truck had "broken down" and that our move would be cancelled. I have a hard time believing their truck even broke down, they were probably exhausted from their long morning move and didn't want to work so late on a Saturday evening, mind you we had already moved over as many boxes as we could throughout the day so only the really heavy stuff was left. You can understand my frustration to be told at 5pm on a Saturday on one of the busiest moving weekends of the year that they would not be able to accommodate us later that evening or even the next morning. You would think a moving company would have a contingency plan for trucks "breaking down" (insert eyeroll). Imagine my panic as I scrambled to find movers or a even a Uhaul to complete our move. I was able to get a small Uhaul despite them being "sold out" if and only if we could have it back by 9am the next morning. I attempted twice to call this moving company back to see if the movers could still assist us with our move since we now had a truck (since their cancellation reasoning was truck broke down) but now they wouldn't answer my calls. Because of this horrible customer service and last minute cancellation, my husband and I had to move HEAVY furniture/boxes/mattresses/etc ourselves LATE into the night in order to have everything out in time for the end of our lease on our apartment. If you are looking for a guarantee that movers will actually show up for your move- KEEP SEARCHING!!! This is not the company for you. I have moved many times as have all of my family and friends and we have never encountered such a problem before when scheduling a move. The last thing you need during a moving weekend is the stress of wondering if your hired muscles and moving truck will actually arrive or not. SO UNPROFESSIONAL!!! read more

Took longer than I expected but the guys were good. I was nervous from some reviews I'd seen on yelp but I gave them a shot because the pricing is straight forward and so is the communication. The reason I have four stars is because they tried to charge me for two trucks to move my one bedroom instead of just offering a larger truck. The Movers Long Beach team successfully helped me move my 900sq ft apartment a month ago. I had most my things in boxes when they arrived, but the two movers got right to work 10 minutes after arriving. The most difficult thing was my 8ft couch that didn't fit in the elevator, they were able to lower it safely down 3 floors. They were hardworking and did their best to get everything done within the 3 hour minimum. It took about 4 hours total, but i was stress free throughout the move.
