Saucony with Lock Lace Original elastic shoelaces and fastening system
    Anne T.

First time to Movin' Shoes and came away with a new pair of Saucony for my long walks. Movin' Shoes is not just for runners, so walkers check it out. Amber took good care of me, assessing how I walked and listening to what I wanted in a shoe. She was kind enough, went the extra kilometer, to lace my new shoes with the elastic laces/lock lace system I selected. They offer a 10% discount (in my case, $14.99) and a very reasonable return policy. I stopped by on a Thursday forenoon and it was not too busy. I'm sure weekends get busy. If you need any info on local runs, they have a lot posted. Very pleasant interior -- open, airy, with 2-story windows big and bright. You don't feel the merchandise 'in your face.'

This is more of a review of Marmot than of Fontana Sports. I bought my first Marmot down jacket…read morehere, and it lasted almost twenty years before the zipper broke. It kept me so warm and toasty in the brutal upper Midwest winters. I discovered the Marmot brand here in the 1990s. Back in the 1990s, Patagonia was not considered as "technical" and as bougie as Marmot and The North Face. Arcteryx either didn't exist or was an obscure brand almost thirty years ago. Now, Patagonia and Arcteryx are off-the-charts insanely priced. Marmot and The North Face are considered "value" brands. In any case, I still buy Marmot; it's better quality and far better value than Patagonia because: 1. Higher down fill power and 2. Higher down fill weight I recently bought a 700-fill down parka from Marmot with 220 grams of down for far less money than a 600-fill down parka with 150 grams of down from Patagonia. I was cold in the Patagonia parka, and it was horribly expensive. I had to return. I also bought coats from Eddie Bauer and from L.L. Bean. Nowhere nearly as warm as Marmot. The Marmot down parka that I recently bought is called the Montreaux Coat, and I've yet to find a warmer coat at such a great price point. It hits my knee, although it's supposed to hit my calf, so that's a bit misleading on their website. It's closer to parka length than coat length. I like that when the zipper broke after almost twenty years of owning my first Marmot down jacket, I called Marmot's Customer Service, they sent me a shipping label, and they said that they would gladly repair the zipper for me, for free. When they couldn't repair the zipper, they just sent me a new Marmot down jacket. So, I wore that complimentary replacement jacket for another ten years before finally buying the Montreaux coat this year almost thirty years after buying my first Marmot down jacket from Fontana Sports.

We had an amazing experience at Bass Pro Shop in Sun Prairie, WI when we went to pick up our boat…read more The paperwork was ready and easy, they gave us an hour of instruction on how everything worked, and then they went above and beyond! Our trailer hitch wiring was the wrong one, so their boat service people actually took 2 and spliced them together for us! They plugged it in, and everything worked immediately and we were on our way. We couldn't ask for better service. They were so helpful. It's been over a month and the boat is perfect. We feel like we were treated like royalty! I would give them more than 5 stars if I could.

But, again, it was clearance season and we tried to get one at the Bass Pro Shops in the Milwaukee area and no dice. We tried Green Bay--nope. So when we found that they had one here while we were on vacation in Door County, we were hoping we'd be able to reserve it in some way without making the drive. They allowed us to do so by putting down a refundable deposit. We did so and they got the boat prepped for our purchase and we were able to pick it up a few days later. Everyone we worked with was helpful and friendly. They walked us through the boat and made sure we felt completely comfortable with everything before taking the boat away. The store itself is brimming with outdoor goodness. Everything was neat and in order and help is readily offered. No complaints! Get to it!

The charging system with the generator gave up and more concerning our furnace quit working. Since it was late in the season we decided to bring the rig back and have the work done closer to home. Since Gander RV took over from Camper World we decided to give them a try. We had decided to not let our poor experiences with Camper World carry over to Gander. What a great decision that turned out to be!! Gary was our contact and boy did he do a great job. He stayed in close contact and kept us in the loop during each "diagnosis " to discuss options. The two problems were fixed up and during the processes we even added a couple more things to the wish list which were promptly taken care of. All was done on time and for the prices quoted! Thanks again Gary and Gander, we're back on the road , all good!

First of all, the selection of Badgers clothing was boundless and loved that for me because I was there to get just that. but alas did not lol. I've been told I look good in red and thanks to Insignia, my closet is always updated with UW sweatshirts and tees a plenty. This shop offers a nicely cultivated selection of women's, men's and kid's Badger gear, including a new section of Packers items as well. In addition to tees, sweats, overalls, sweatshirts, fleeces, onesies, you'll find a variety of accessories like hats, gloves, license plate frames, rally items and gifts. I'm usually quite taken with the 47 brand that ends up ringing up on the pricey side, but the fit, fashion and quality stands up over time. I have no doubt that I'll continue to overspend at Insignia for years to come. U rah rah!
