I have thick/full dark brown hair and, in comparison, my thin/light colored eyebrows have never looked quite right. I was always slightly self-conscious and, to make matters worse, my eyebrows have become increasing sparse with age. I have tried tinting, shaping, brow pencil, stencils, and expensive growth serums, all with unsatisfactory results. What's more, I'm lazy when it comes to putting on makeup in the morning and I don't always want to pencil in my eyebrows. In a moment of brow-despair, I discovered microblading during a random internet search and was immediately intrigued by the process. I did tons of research but was still on the fence about the whole semi-permanent aspect of this procedure, until I was introduced to Kristin's work through a friend's referral. Let me just say, that Kristin is a true artist and her client's results blew me away. After a few months of obsessing over her Instagram (@moxieallure) and several exchanged emails, I finally booked myself an appointment and drove the 400 plus miles from Minneapolis to Chicago. It was definitely worth the trip... The Moxie Allure workspace was an extremely professional and sanitary environment. Kristin immediately made me feel comfortable and took the time to answer all my additional questions. During the consultation we thoroughly discussing my "brow goals" and what I wanted to achieve with this experience. Kristin outlined the brow we discussed to perfection and made sure I was completely satisfied with the shape before beginning the microblading session. To say I'm happy with my results would be an extreme understatement. Honestly, I could go on and on about how great microblading is. It may sound a bit dramatic but this amazing procedure has changed my life! My brows are neat, full, and so natural looking. My eye area appears brighter and I look more put together without even trying. I can confidently leave the house with nothing on my face but moisturizer. I could not say enough good things about this salon or about Andrea!! Microblading was something that I had thought about doing for awhile after my eyebrows starting thinning due to medication but I was always apprehensive that they wouldn't turn out the way I wanted them. This place had stellar reviews on Yelp so I decided to give it a shot and booked a last minute appointment on one of my days off. Andrea was incredibly professional and explained the entire process clearly so that I knew what to expect. She went above and beyond at making sure that my eyebrows would look perfect and that I was going to be happy with the way they turned out. The microblading itself was a bit more painful than I anticipated since I have a sensitive eye area but Andrea worked with me to make sure that I was an comfortable as possible. The results were better than anything I could've imagined and I still stare at my brows every time I look into a mirror. Beautiful brows! Kristin is awesome. She is friendly and professional. The brow strokes are very natural looking. It has only been a few days, so I'm still in the healing process, but the quality of her work is apparent. Although she gave sufficient time for numbing, towards the end it was quite painful.
