2.5 Stars. This is a cute little cafe in a nice area, but the food was mediocre in my opinion. I ordered an avocado toast which came with a sunny side up egg on top. I also got a side of potato hash. My food was ok, but nothing to boast home about. Wonderful new breakfast and lunch spot, in our hood. Dylan has been a chef/owner on S Broadway for many years, and he was missed after closing Deluxe/Delight. This place is great; my Thai chicken salad sandwich was delicious and huge! My daughter had a yummy vegan sandwich, and my spouse had the ramen with kale! This is a small, quiet lunch spot on broadway with healthy options. It's pretty much just sandwiches and salads and a few soup options. I ordered the turkey pesto sandwich with a side of tomato basil soup and sweet potatoes. The sandwich was okay and the sweet potatoes were a bit dry/hard but I did enjoy the tomato basil soup. The place is a pretty new fast-casual high-quality operation with pricey but excellent food and bad hours. Have finally been able to make my way over there when they're open. Their hours are from 9 a.m to 7 p.m (Sunday till 5 p.m .) . . . . (?) But it's his shop so he gets to decide. [Hmmm. Maybe if he only opened on alternative Mondays and Thursdays from 2-4:30 p.m. he could call it "boutique hours" and charge even more!;)]. The owner/operator makes really excellent food. I'm told he used to run some neat places in the area called delight and deluxe: 2 spots next to each other if I remember correctly which both my honey and I thought were very good. He'd deserve 5 stars for Moxie if the composition of the main dish was bumped up a bit. Take a look at the very tasty Green Eggs and Ham sandwich I had this a.m. The pesto sauce could not have been better, and the eggs sprinkled with goat cheese really were tasty. But the prosciutto part of the dish would have made the sammie sing if there was any decent amount of it in between the English muffin halves. I know prosciutto isn't supposed to be treated like a filet. But it was so sparingly served as to have all of its imagined zest be overwhelmed by the assertive flavors of the pesto and it ended up having no taste at all in the sandwich. Too bad, because had there been a tad more of it the dish clearly would have edged this review into 5 stars-ville. Bottom line: Running a restaurant is hard. The cost of the ingredients is a big deal, so I get where he's coming from. But the next time I'm in--if it won't cost too much to get some additional prosciutto added--I'll try the dish again. With about twice as much of the "Ham" part of the dish it really would have been a Woohoo! meal even if he charged a little more for it. We discovered this little restaurant over the winter, and have been back many, many times for lunch. Delicious, homemade-noodle chicken-vegetable soup, and then a turkey, fig-jam, brie, pickled onion sandwich on grilled ciabatta bread with HOMEMADE PICKLE SPEARS. Oh, with aïoli as well. The people are really nice, as well, and certainly know their food. Is it weird I'm still thinking about my Green Eggs n Ham sandwich from Moxie Eatery last week? Seeking a casual spot to catch up with a friend over breakfast, we ended up at this cozy eatery on Broadway. The menu isn't super extensive, but features a solid array of breakfast sandwiches to choose from. The Green Eggs n Ham came with an egg (duh) which I ordered sunny side up, prosciutto, pesto, and goat cheese! It was SO good. On the side, I ordered the sweet potato hash which was also delicious. Everything was made fresh to order but came out in a reasonable time. To sip, they have coffee and tea, but no espresso based beverages which is usually what I go for. Even so, I would totally come back to grab a breakfast sandwich and would love to check out their lunch items. Not to mention, they do late night tacos on the weekend which look AMAZING. I never dine or takeout anymore because it's just TOO DAMN EXPENSIVE these days and for the most part, food is just mediocre so when a friend asked me to meet for lunch, I begrudgingly said yes thinking I'd be spending $25 on a small plate of something that was just "fine". I love that this spot has so many vegetarian and GF options! It's an airy and bright space with friendly people working. I got the acorn squash torta (without avocado) - the cashew chipotle aioli was phenomenal. The sandwich could've been put together a little better as the acorn squash was just a hunk of (perfectly cooked) squash on one side of roasted ciabatta bread with the black beans on the other side. I love Maxie's Eatery! The service is always friendly and the food is fresh and many ingredients are made in-house. They're really good about customizing your order to suit your tastes. All of their selections looked delicious so I had a hard time choosing, but I ended up getting the Green Giant salad. First of all, the place is nice, bright, clean, and all white. It was a sunny day and the mood matched the food. The food came out lightning fast, and I was super impressed with the portion size, for a ~$10 salad. The salad was delicious - it was super garlicky, slightly tangy, savory, and the pureed eggplant added a touch of natural sweetness to balance. I had been seeing Moxie come up a lot as I searched for food delivery options when I didn't quite feel like cooking at home but never pulled the trigger. On a Sunday morning, when I was what you kids are calling hungover AF, I walked down to South Broadway and right inside this casual eatery. The space is intimate with a small counter and open kitchen where you order. Maybe 8 tables are inside and there is a big window to sit and window eat if you don't order your food to go. The whole menu sounded delicious and although I thought their avocado toast would be the real MVP, I ended up ordering a turkey and brie sandwich. The fig jam added a sweetness that my hangover felt was very necessary for healing. I ate the whole thing and I'm usually a half sandwich and also take the top slice of bread off kinda girl. It was that good. I'm intrigued by the creativity some of their menu offers and also their homemade popsicle flavors. #yum read more

I have loved the Moxie for years! I think I could seriously have the lamb sandwich every day. My husband is vegan and loves the giant green salad and acorn squash sandwich. It's so nice that they have options where you don't have to make any adjustments. We normally get the food to go and enjoy it at home, but the inside has a super cute ambience as well if you're looking to dine in. My boyfriend had the chicken top ramen. Jealously set in and I was stealing noodles from his bowl not so subtly. Broth Full of flavor, generous pieces of chicken and kale to make it pop with color and well health. I could have eaten the noodles everyday. The only thing missing is a noon mimosa. Visiting Denver from San Diego we came to this place for lunch right from the airport and WOW. What a good start to our trip! We ended up getting: - Lambwich (with gluten free bread): The gluten free bread was a little too thick for the sandwich, but I can't really blame them for that because they can only stock one type of GF bread for all their sandwiches. But the sandwich was delicious. The lamb was tender and flavorful. The cumin yogurt and other fixins were tasty and complimented the lamb well. I had the lambwhich...which is a ground lamb sandwich and tasted pretty good, good flavours on fresh bread with some strong flavours. My wife had the chicken ramen which was a really good ramen and she (and I) really enjoyed it. I tried the coconut macaroon with a chocolate base and was average at best. The Hispanic woman who works the front counter is extremely rude. I stopped in to get two sandwiches and a side of potatoes to go for myself, and my sick husband (who was at home resting). I ordered the turkey pesto sandwiches from the menu, and asked about a side of fries. The woman rolled her eyes at me 3 times while explaining the options to me, and opened her eyes wide in an angry way...I got fed up with her the 3rd time she did it. She obviously didn't want her boss to know what shed been doing to the customers which is why she used her facial expressions to do it and didn't raise her voice as he was behind her.
