Let me start off with the positives. The place is clean! The waitresses are nice, but they are terrible when it comes to service. This is the 3rd time and probably the last time i will go there. We waited 10 minutes before any waiter or waitress came by. We ordered 4 drinks and waited another 20 minutes to get them. Wtf! The service was so bad that we didn't even want to order another round of the baby blue whiskey. Shame of the management and the poor service. The only thing that came out promptly was the food. Corporate should investigate this location. I am sure that I am not the only person that continually gets bad service here. If they are wondering why this place isn't making forecasted revenue, it's because of the service. read more

I frequent Moxie's Southlake location and it's always a fantastic experience. The food, the service and the vibe are excellent. I was expecting a similar experience when I took out of town guests to the Plano location. The experience was horrible. The food was okay but the service was some of the worst I have had anywhere. We had to ask for everything including asking to order drinks, appetizers, entrees, silverware, etc. The restaurant was not busy and employees were standing around. The bartender had been MIA for over 10 minutes when another employee walked up behind the bar. I politely asked her if we could get more drinks and she told me she was the chef, rolled her eyes at me and glared at me. She never offered to help or find someone who could help. I discussed my concerns with the manager, who could only say they have new staff. Moxies in Plano is a one and done for me. read more

by far the worst experience in the food service industry i've EVER received. It was my friends birthday and we had gone out to celebrate, we come in on a Saturday night and we are all excited because the place looks nice and welcoming and we were hungry but little did we know that was NOT AT ALL the case. we get seated and our server takes 15 minutes to greet us, she gets our drinks and we wait an additional 20 MINUTES for her to come back to us for her to get our appetizer order. and I had ordered nachos that took 45 MINUTES TO COME OUT. the worst part was that they were the most mediocre nachos, barely any pico came on them and there were only cheese on the top and the bottom was just dry chips. our entrees took another 30 minutes to come out and the food runner seemed like she hated her job and had an attitude. Then the party was just sitting there for a while after we were finished our food, we stop our server and ask her if we can tab out and she made a minor mistake of mixing tabs which i'm not at all mad about, but when we were getting our tab fixed her co worker or maybe manager had a stick up her behind having so much attitude towards us when we were explaining how to split our tabs and had a crazy amount of sarcasm along with it. We were not at all satisfied with our visit or even wanted to discuss the matter with a manager because we were so fed up we just wanted to leave and never intend on coming back. Working in the food service industry if i had given that horrendous to my guests i would've gotten fired. Our server i believe her name was isa was doing the best she could and had a large section and i don't blame her for this situation at all I blame the management and the organization laid out in this restaurant. She seemed so stressed out and she was doing the best she could. anyways don't waste your time at this restaurant it's service doesn't align with the ambiance of the welcoming restaurant it looks to be. read more

High hopes for Moxies, but it was unfortunately not the best stop during our Dallas visit. Despite tons of staff members viable on a Friday night, their service and rhythm was off. We arrived for our reservation and was promptly seated. Our waitress arrived a couple minutes later and took our drink orders. So far, so good! She was gone for a while, but I get it -- Friday's are busy. She finally returned with our drinks and the rest goes significantly downhill. We ordered nachos as our appetizer and waited 35 - 40 minutes - no lie for them to arrive. A couple people also ordered salads. We were told they were "coming" several times. Another couple seated next to us didn't have a waitress for a while. They finally flagged down a manager who promised to send someone over and took their drink order. There was noticeable frustration as they also waited a while for their drinks to arrive. Finally the waitress arrived and they placed an appetizer order. When it arrived, it was incorrect. Meanwhile, our appetizer arrived and I have to tell you --- the nachos were EXCELLENT. Huge portion and delicious. We all enjoyed them. But of course, they arrived minutes before our entrees came, so the balance between enjoying the appetizer and letting your entree get cold or putting the nachos on the back burner and not truly getting your money's worth. Our food arrived and most were correct. My lettuce wraps were exceptional and spot on -- flavors, freshness and portion size were spot on. I also enjoyed my Korean fried cauliflower. My friend ordered the full rack of ribs, which unfortunately were not tender and came with the incorrect side. However, the member of our party who ordered the Caesar salad thoroughly enjoyed it and another friend enjoyed the steak frites. Our neighboring table had an extremely poor experience, but remained calm throughout. I'm hoping it was an off night. It is a beautiful restaurant with tons of potential, but the service and inconsistencies in our orders left much to be desired. If they fix those things, I would consider returning. read more

I tried this restaurant for the first time last night. It was a horrible experience. First off there was no one in the restaurant at 630 pm except in the bar area. The whole time we were in the restaurant there was only a maximum of two other tables with patronage. The fact that the restaurant was deserted should have been our first clue of what was to follow. The hostess walked us to our table and placed us next to the kitchen. So we got the worst seat in the house in what was basically an empty restaurant. We asked to move to somewhere other than the back corner. Our first dish was calamari and it was actually very good. I then ordered steak frites which is steak and fries. The waitress said you get two sides with that. She recommends the twice baked potato. I chose asaparagus and roasted potatoes which was confusing because I had ordered steak and fries. The waitress delivered my ice tea with basically no ice. She explained the tea was so hot that it was melting the ice. I asked for more ice. Our meal was finally delivered by a runner and we explained that the order was wrong. They had included my sides with my wife's main order which was a steak. When we explained this to the runner she just stood there not knowing what to do. I finally gad to ask if she could bring us the correct order. When the correct order arrived I received my steak with roasted potatoes that were raw and the asparagus was so overcooked you could not cut it as it turned to pablum when you touched it. My steak was actually tasty. My wife had ordered her steak medium rare but it was medium well. Her twice baked potato was so old looking and dry that she could not eat it. She also received the overcooked asparagus. When we were almost done with the meal the waitress finally showed up. She had not been to the table since before the meal was delivered. My wife informed me later that she could see the waitress sitting at a table with what we were soon to find out was the manager. We told the waitress of our issues and she said she would get the manager. The manager showed up at the table and said "are you enjoying your meal". We said no and then she asked us what was wrong. I told her our meals were delivered wrong to start with, our asparagus was overcooked, my wife's steak was overcooked, somehow the waitress had talked me into steak frites with no fries and my wife's twice baked potato was brown and dry ( basically it seemed like it was old). My roasted potatoes were also raw. The manager said well I would bring your wife a new steak but she has eaten most of it anyway. I said that was because the waitress did not check on us after the meal was delivered until we were about through. The manager ended up taking everything off the bill but the calamari. While we were looking at the bill the waitress delivered another tea that basically had no ice again. A perfectly horrible ending to a perfectly horrible meal. We will not return read more

I absolutely love moxies and have been so many times! I ordered my usual fav the blackened chicken burger. I am Canadian so i know what the original moxies tastes like... but my fries came out tasting burnt and greasy like they were fried in old oil...: i spoke to the staff and asked for a new set of fries... and seemed like they just refried my same fries because they came out more burnt and greasier... truly disappointed by my experience here as I was so looking forward to a little taste of home in texas. I will try another location but maybe i need to go back to canada to get the real moxies quality... the manager was not very empathetic and that disappoints me more then the quality of food read more

Me and a few coworkers of mine stopped in today for breakfast and our server was Jinsyn. She did an amazing job and has a great personality!
