    More fabulous decor
    Astrida M.

Yesterday we were in South Beach looking at various hotels for a future celebration for when our friends from out of state visit. I want them to get a real feel for the Miami and SoBe vibe. So we picked Moxy as one of our selections to check out. We parked at their entrance between Collins and Washington streets. There was valet parking as well as a private lot. As we walked around the 1st floor, we were wowed with the intriguing decor that spoke volumes of love of surrealist art and artists such as Dali, Magritte and Ernst of the 1920s. I also love that time period of art deco from 1920-1930, and there is plenty of it in South Beach. That's why the Moxy appeals to me. We decided to stay and have lunch at their restaurant on the second floor, the Serena. There is a very inviting pool area on the second floor with a rooftop restaurant, the Serena. You can sit by the pool and order food from the Serena or sit at the bar and eat. We enjoyed our visit and will put Moxy at the top of our list.

If you are staying in Miami and need place to stay that is cute, chic, original, and has everything you could need; definitely stay at the Moxy on South Beach. My friend booked a day pass at this cute Boutique Hotel since we had a late flight but came back from our cruise early morning. Perfect opportunity to hang out in South Beach for a little bit and when I saw this hotel, my mouth hit the floor! This is the exact type of hotel that I love and everything about it was calling my name! From the cute decor inside and the cleanliness to the beautiful rooftop lounge area and all of the mermaids signage, this spoke Ieshia. They have a small store where you can grab some essential items or quick bits to eat, a full chic restaurant that serves an array of dishes, a rooftop lounge area with spectacular views, and a cute pool with full service. I cannot say enough great things about the Moxy South Beach. 10 out of 10 if I am ever in South Beach again and need somewhere to stay, The Moxy is at the top of my list

I had a great time coming here the staff was very friendly and though the rooms are small the experience was very good do keep in mind if you have a car and come here the parking is in the back not the front of the hotel. Overall it was a good experience and they have a down stairs bars and a restaurant at the top where the pool was at which was great so you didn't have to go far to eat or get drinks when your at the pool they also have pool service as well.

    Bed bug bites

There are bed bugs, at least in my hotel room. The manager ASSURED me they've NEVER had them, but I have 30+ bites on my legs & they have yet to call me back in 5 days, or email. I have sent emails and called every single day since Friday... it is now Wednesday. They said they'd get back to me on Sunday. I got my bites tested and they are indeed bed bug bites. Had not stayed anywhere except Moxy. Hopefully now they'll take this seriously. Also be SO mindful.... The room is the size of shoebox. No moving room if you have 2 beds. Update; They just called me back after seeing this review. Says that after me calling on Friday nobody inspected until Monday but they allowed people to stay in the room until then!!!! They initially said they would unoccupy the room until test came back. So whoever stayed in the room after me , was not issued a new room after the hotel hearing about my issue. It is now Wednesday. They say there is no sign of bed bugs. Use the information as you wish. I had stayed nowhere but here upon receiving these bites.

amazing views for the sunset! I went for a event being hosted at the rooftop and they also had a bar and bites available. It was a variety of good drinks to choose from. The bites was made from one of the restaurants on the first floor and was mostly good. The tacos and empanadas were my favorites. It's a nice rooftop that can be relaxing and has a nice view for both sunset and I imagine sunrise as well since it has unobstructed view of the water.

What a unique & fun hotel! Came to Miami for a quick trip to show our 17yr old daughter U of Miami and stayed at South beach for a night! This is a Marriott Boutique hotel. The lobby is Decorated so cute w/blue & White flooring & other 1950's decor while playing top 40 music hits. Great walking distance to beach & restaurants. The individual room we stayed in is small but great use of space. No closets yet they have a wall hanger that I've seen before in ski hotels. The shower had a rainfall shower head and the water pressure was awesome. Never ran out of hot water. There is a rooftop bar that had beautiful views of surrounding area but the staff shooed us away at night saying there was a private event. Mind you we went there different times throughout night and there never was an event going on. I gave this hotel 4 stars because the staff could definitely work on their customer service for sure. It was a bit confusing on the check in process at the front desk and when we would ask questions, the staff acted a bit put off. The hotel itself is an enjoyable experience!

Came to the bar for an event , the event was at the pool bar , very nice space , delicious snacks and professional staff. The lobby bar was also fabulous. Got an excellent cosmo , had good music playing , some good vibe customers around , nice decor . It was safe to walk all around the hotel area . Down to ocean drive and all the stores .

Size matters the rooms are so small. Reminds me of hotel rooms in NYC. It's so small. Also the beach was blocked off for spring break and so the entrance was quite a ways. I was a bit disappointed in the location aspect in addition to the size. Customer care was great.

THIS AWFUL HOTEL RUINED MY ENGAGEMENT. My boyfriend brought me here prior to my engagement. He was using Moxy as a place to get ready before our engagement (which I didn't know at the time was coming) and a place to enjoy afterwards. When we arrived, we went to valet and tried to unload items out of the car - the staff outside and valet refused to help us with our bags or unloading. We asked for a cart for our items, they POINTED at one, sitting in the RAIN, literally soaked! We asked if they had a towel so we could wipe it up, the valet staff looked at us, obviously annoyed, shrugged their shoulders and said "I don't know". We went inside, found a wash cloth from the front desk ourselves and wiped the cart down ourselves so we had a way of bringing up our items to our room. But wait... it gets worse. We go to check in, and the front desk staff refuses to use the new Marriott credit card that my boyfriend got to be able to earn bonus points. Even though his email said he could use immediately after applying for the credit card with the digital version, the front desk staff refused to use the digital version. At this point, we were over it and just wanted to get up to the room. When we carted our items upstairs and went into the room, it's WREAKED of chlorine - so bad I got a headache after a few minutes inside. When we called downstairs, they said they would switch us rooms - so we came all the way back downstairs with our items only to turn around and go back up to the same floor. It would have been nice if they told us we would be on the same floor so we didn't have to lug all of our stuff up and down on our own in a semi-wet cart. The next room they put us in didn't smell like chlorine, however, it was totally underwhelming. The "ocean view" rooms are technically ocean view, but the view is nothing like they advertise. You can see the water but only after you look past all the air conditioning and other roof top buildings in front of you. Picture below so you can see what I'm talking about. We were getting ready for our engagement (which I thought was just date night) and the hand held steamer in the room didn't work. We called the front desk, they said they would send an iron up. We waited over an hour and it never came. So guess who had to go to their engagement with wrinkly clothes???? Yeah. Us. After the engagement, I told my boyfriend there's NO way I am going back to this disgusting hotel with rude staff on my engagement night. We went back just to get our stuff and check out - when we got back to the front desk, told them everything that happened and they, of course, wouldn't refund us immediately because 'we stayed too long'. I told them about how my boyfriend had plans to PROPOSE so we couldn't exactly leave and find another hotel since he had a photo shoot to arrive on time for. It's worth mentioning that the evening staff was MUCH kinder and apologetic for our experience, although they didn't refund us there. We've called and explained the situation to Marriott several times and we have yet to get refunded. Pretty crappy for two gold Marriott members who tried to enjoy a really special occasion at their hotel. Never again. Don't come here. ESPECIALLY if you have something special planned.

stayed at Moxy South Beach for two different weekends and overall had a great experience. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the action, and the hotel has a fun, modern design. I had a couple of hiccups during check-in, but Nathan at the front desk was absolutely amazing, super helpful and made things right with a great attitude. While the hotel is stylish and fresh, be aware that some rooms, especially on the second floor, may not offer the best views.

Does anyone have pics of the king bed ocean view rooms?

It's hard to take a picture of the room. It's so small you have to stand on the bed because there's no walking space.

    Is there a gym?

    Yes

How would you rate the noise level? I know it is nearby clubs, but I am old and like to go to sleep at a regular time :)

We stayed on the 7th floor. It's loud AF when the DJ is playing on the roof top pool/bar area.

My gf and I stopped through here on our way out before boarding our flights later in the afternoon. If you're toting your luggage and not a hotel guest, you will have to find another hotel to store your luggage while enjoying this most decadent brunch experience. Luckily we arrived early enough to our reservations to sort that out. Reservations are a must if you don't want to wait. The restaurant is gorgeous with various spaces designed differently but keeps to the exotic Asian theme. Dining in the atrium near the water feature in the middle with stage for the musicians is where we had our experience. Olga was our server. She brought us our special beverages not available at the bar: Bloody Mary's and endless bubbly in our glasses The offerings here are more than I can name, but there is something to satisfy every craving. The favorite for me is the caviar bar. It comes with all the proper fixings on a blini with Crème fraîche. Do you need a vodka shot to go with? Yes, that's also available also at the caviar station. Fresh raw oysters, clams or shrimp cocktail is available in abundance with everything else here. The ceviche was great. I passed on all the various noodles but had to have some lamb curry and basmati rice- delicious! I had some Peking Duck and leg of lamb at the meat station. The filet mignon and lamb chops was ordered and brought to the table. The leg of lamb and filet were slightly dry but still good. The lamb chops with chimichurri sauce was amazing- nuances of vibrant flavors. Assorted fresh fruits were a colorful collection of enticements. I saw some papaya and enjoyed its fresh, sweet juiciness. I am not a dessert person but had to try the key like pie. Then of course, the matcha dessert is a sitting temptation next to the pie. So, my dessert spoils were more than intended. What the hell right? Lol That was the sweet ending to my Setai brunch. There was so much more such as bread, fried stuff, eggs, bagel station, toast etc. One can only eat so much. I stuck to enjoying my favorites. The experience is pricey but so worth it. It is truly the best brunch experience I've ever had. - better than Vegas and a cruise ship!! I always have to experience a Setai brunch whenever in Miami!

What we got was an incredible room with a private terrace and a stunning view of South Beach. And as if it couldn't get any better, we were surprised with a complimentary bottle of champagne, which made for the perfect nightcap, and an even better start to the morning alongside our mimosa. If you're staying in South Beach, Dream is more than a name--it's an experience!

However since we paid tripple that price I have to be way more critical. The staff makes it extra special. They were all friendly and had the "I can do it for you attitude." Kudos to the staff. Our "up-graded" room facing half ocean/city was tiny, a tad worn, had a very nice view, and non impressive toiletrees. The worst part of our room was the side of the hotel we were on. Our room was on the industrial exhaust fans side and it was extremely noisy. Had to keep our balcony door closed to drown out the noise. The location of the hotel, as others mentioned is ideal. Now here is the scary part...we got stuck on the elevator two times. It wasn't a long time but enough to scare me especially since I am very claustrophobic. I ended up taking the stairs to the 9th floor the rest of our stay. They did fix the elevator but this happened to quite a few guests and they didn't shut the elevator. Our complimentary breakfast (free with my Marriott status) was not the best. Breakfast is served in the attached Mexican restaurant which is not owned by Marriott. It is not a buffet. Small menu with the basics. Food was fair. We enjoyed the pool and the short walk to the beach. The pool restaurant has the best hotdogs! And we also enjoyed the quinoa salad.

Rooms were small. Tons of kids at the pool (which was closed 30 min into our one night stay due to code brown). We also paid extra for a balcony and this is what it looked like. Do your self a favor and stay somewhere else. Not worth the money.

We spent the afternoon by the pool, enjoying drinks and snacks, which were delicious and the perfect way to relax. Later, we headed to Happy Hour at Lido, and it was fantastic. The entire property has a laid-back luxury feel, with beautiful landscaping, comfortable seating areas, and amazing views. Whether you're visiting for a spa day, drinks by the pool, or Happy Hour at Lido, The Standard delivers a truly memorable experience. Highly recommend for a relaxing day in Miami Beach!

The rooms have been thoughtfully re-designed, but still have that cold Miami cinder block feel. In other words you won't do more than sleep in them. The pool area is fantastic with a bay view and plenty of chairs. Lido Grill, the main restaurant, is nicely done and people / pet friendly. Service was good, once you got their attention, which was on you, not them...we had the lobster, fairly priced at $39, but was like rubber and inedible. Sides were a throw away. Drinks were very good. Other points, nice mini bar in room, however NO coffee in room and coffee shop doesn't open until 7 AM. A regular room, facing back away from bay, dinner for 2, minor mini bar invasion (2 drinks) valet, was over $1100. Not worth the cost.

The kind of place where…read moreyou walk into the lobby and instantly feel like you've stepped into a glossy magazine spread. High ceilings, marble everywhere, and a buzz that tells you you're in the right place. What impressed me most? There's genuinely plenty to do for all ages, which is not something you can say about every Miami resort. Whether you're traveling with kids, teens, adults, or a multigenerational crew, everyone finds their lane here. The pool scene is the heartbeat of the property. Multiple pools, each with its own personality -- family-friendly areas with space to splash, quieter corners for lounging, and the high-energy spots where the music and cocktails flow. Service was dialed in across the board: fast, friendly, and always one step ahead. Rooms were spotless and stylish, with balconies that make you want to order room service just to soak in the view a little longer. Housekeeping kept everything crisp, and every request was met with that effortless "of course" attitude. Dining is another standout. From quick bites to full-on fine dining, everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Even the grab-and-go spots felt elevated. And if nightlife is your thing, you don't need to leave the property -- the energy here after dark is pure Miami. But if you're traveling with kids or just want a low-key night, the resort still feels comfortable and accessible. Fontainebleau nails that rare balance of iconic luxury and all-ages fun. It's bold, glamorous, and buzzing in all the right ways, yet still manages to be welcoming and easy to enjoy no matter who you're traveling with. A true Miami classic that continues to deliver. Enjoy

This is a tourist trap extraordinaire. It made me feel like I was paying to be in a place trying to extract from me, not serve me. And yes, I did complain twice to the front staff about these issues - to stony faces and lame excuses that were canned and code for "we don't care." The resort fee is $60/day (which is not made clear on Orbitz, where I booked it), yet when I went in February the pool and all outdoor facilities - which is what the resort fee pays for - closed at 6pm. We were told it closes at "sundown," even though they clearly have outdoor lights for the whole outside facility. Want to swim in the evening or night? Nope. All those pictures with the pool lit up? Not for you. And if you dare to be in the pool at 6:01, there were six staff for every one guest to tell you to get out. Seriously, we got warnings to get out at 10min to 6, 5min to 6, and at 6:00. Why every five minutes? Because a group of staff members were hovering over us, watching and waiting for the moment to kick us out. Very relaxing. You have to wear an armband everywhere you go. Staff are at every door as you go in or out - hotel to pool or pool to beach - monitoring you to produce it. Very relaxing. There is no coffee in the room, forcing you to travel across the whole huge facility (3 towers connected by long walks) to their coffee shop to pay $10 for a cup of coffee each morning. You could walk all the way back to your room, or - like me - you can try to drink it by the pool. But NO! You can't sit by the pool. Those seats and lounges require you to pay a fee, even in February when there was NO ONE there. If you don't want to pay, you can find a free lounge on the outer fringes. And if you try to sit without paying, there are staff to tell you to move immediately. Hovering, as usual. To get a lounge on the beach - in February, low season - we had to get in line to sign up for a chair and then get in a second line of 20-30 people and wait in the hot sun for an available, assigned chair and a staff person to take us there. Grab a chair and relax? Nope. It's a monitored system. When we checked out, the staff told us there were too many rooms to provide a coffee maker in each one. I guess their policy is to assume their guests are stupid.
