Delicious brunch outside on Ocean Ave, across from the beach. Beautiful decor and nice set up. Very elaborate menu with the choices: the salmon Benedict was delicious. The ribeye & cheesy eggs also delicious. I enjoyed their fresh drip coffee and a nice sprite from the bottle. Very clean place and beautiful bathrooms

If I hear one more time "we changed the menu/chef" (food changed) or "it's coming" ("forgot to order")... Perfect and popular quinoa salad taken off ...while items identical since I was little still there ...Uber there for it to find it no more ... too disappointed to order anything else

This quaint little restaurant secured within the Local House hotel is a neighborhood gem. Met here for a business brunch and it was perfect. Although there was vibrant international music playing, the overall sound was low enough to have a conversation. There was also an outlet on the wall to plug in a laptop or charge a cell phone. The decor was clean with a beachy, modern feel. They accommodated for food allergies or substitutions and our service was top notch. Bruno was our very attentive waiter and so was Naranj. The best part was the quality of the food. My associate got the Local breakfast which was a traditional breakfast with eggs, bacon and toast. It was hard for me to decide between their delicious seafood benedict options including lobster, ocean or crab cake benedict and their seafood scramble. But I opted for the seafood scramble because it was lighter and was filled with multiple seafood including lobster, shrimp and crab. It came with toast and I ordered a side of home fries. We washed these scrumptious entrées down with an Americano (black coffee with a shot of espresso), black tea, pineapple juice mimosa, and a Summer Air cocktail (although they were out of elderflower). Everything was delightful. Highly recommend as I am now also interested in exploring their lunch and dinner options as well.

The Local House Hotel! Overall it was an incredible stay. The lobby was very chic and had great decor. The check in was done in a couch across from the receptionist which was a very warm and personable check in. There was a diffuser in the hallway that smelled lovely. My wife and I stayed in a room that had everything we needed; a comfy bed and couch, a tv, an keurig machine, an updated bathroom with a great shower head, two balconies, a full body mirror, and some lamps. Everything up to this point was pretty exceptional! Here are a few cons: We were met with the pungent smell of marijuana at some point in the night which isn't the establisment's fault. They respectfully dealt with the group causing the smell which my wife and i were very grateful for. As we watched a movie, we couldn't help but realize how thin the walls were. The best way to describe this is like living with roommates. We heard EVERYTHING that was happening around us; music playing in the room next to us, the doors open and close as the other guests came and went, people talking outside the building, cars driving by, etc. Miami is a busy city but we were thinking it would be a bit more quiet. All in all would definitely come back to experience the restaurant, rooftop lounge and maybe give a different room placement a try.

Absolutely a "10" in every way! The pancakes were off the chart!

Everything about this place is amazing! Service, food, everything just perfect! Looking forward to going again!

Good place to stop for a bite while at the beach. Outdoor seating on the street where you can sit and people watch while enjoying a drink and apps.

When I say AMAZING. I mean that in the greatest way possible! This hotel is super chic. It's set like a little beach boutique hotel. Everything from the room decor to the balcony was phenomenal. This place is very clean and well taken care of. There is a rooftop pool that's open 24/7 which like the hotel is very clean. There is free wifi, free wine available daily from 6-7. The hotel itself is located right on Ocean Drive but it's away from all of the loudness and chaos that Miami Beach seems to bring at night. You're about a 3 minute walk to the beach also. The employees here are incredibly welcoming and the staff was very pleasant. When planning another visit to Miami this will for sure be the hotel I choose.

Thank you tripadvisor for finding me a great hotel right on ocean drive! An extra tidbit, they won Tripadvisor's 2010 choice award. we were literally a few blocks down from the heart of southbeach, and within walking distance of all the major streets (collins, washington, lincoln) & the beach was right across the street! It was close enough to all the action, but far enough away so we were able to get a good nights sleep. Rooms were very modern, simple, and chic. It was also very clean, and the temperpudic beds/pillows were great. Hotel staff was available 24 hrs a day. They also provide towels and chairs for the beach, which is included in the $7.50/day amenities fee. The rooftop pool was ok. Good enough for us to sunbath & to check out the rooftop model shoot across the way. The only gripe we had was that there were literally no mirrors in the room besides the one in the bathroom. You would think since we were in miami of all places, that there would at least be ONE mirror in the room! 4 gals trying to get ready without mirrors = no bueno. So my suggestion would be to PLEASE ADD MIRRORS TO ALL YOUR ROOMS! At least one full length mirror.

Wow, this place was super cool and friendly! Gave me cool homey vibes. I'm here from Boston, and this place gave us all we wanted in Miami! Rooftop pool we didn't even know about with day beds and a hang out area, beautiful well-equipped rooms, great greeting staff and customer service!

Amazing!! Customer service top notch we arrived early and had late night flights and they were accommodating on both sides. They provide you beach gear with an umbrella and 2 chairs which was great and their restaurant is awesome. A must try is the Kiwi Crush drink and the kale and quinoa salad. The tang of that dressing and the freshness of the cocktail let you settle in right away to your vacation.

My gf and I stopped through here on our way out before boarding our flights later in the afternoon. If you're toting your luggage and not a hotel guest, you will have to find another hotel to store your luggage while enjoying this most decadent brunch experience. Luckily we arrived early enough to our reservations to sort that out. Reservations are a must if you don't want to wait. The restaurant is gorgeous with various spaces designed differently but keeps to the exotic Asian theme. Dining in the atrium near the water feature in the middle with stage for the musicians is where we had our experience. Olga was our server. She brought us our special beverages not available at the bar: Bloody Mary's and endless bubbly in our glasses The offerings here are more than I can name, but there is something to satisfy every craving. The favorite for me is the caviar bar. It comes with all the proper fixings on a blini with Crème fraîche. Do you need a vodka shot to go with? Yes, that's also available also at the caviar station. Fresh raw oysters, clams or shrimp cocktail is available in abundance with everything else here. The ceviche was great. I passed on all the various noodles but had to have some lamb curry and basmati rice- delicious! I had some Peking Duck and leg of lamb at the meat station. The filet mignon and lamb chops was ordered and brought to the table. The leg of lamb and filet were slightly dry but still good. The lamb chops with chimichurri sauce was amazing- nuances of vibrant flavors. Assorted fresh fruits were a colorful collection of enticements. I saw some papaya and enjoyed its fresh, sweet juiciness. I am not a dessert person but had to try the key like pie. Then of course, the matcha dessert is a sitting temptation next to the pie. So, my dessert spoils were more than intended. What the hell right? Lol That was the sweet ending to my Setai brunch. There was so much more such as bread, fried stuff, eggs, bagel station, toast etc. One can only eat so much. I stuck to enjoying my favorites. The experience is pricey but so worth it. It is truly the best brunch experience I've ever had. - better than Vegas and a cruise ship!! I always have to experience a Setai brunch whenever in Miami!

You are walking through the area with all the guests and their luggage in your super large robe that doesn't close very well. I did not enjoy this. Some disappointing things which was not their fault is the parking garage construction noise even on Sundays. The noise took away from my spa experience. They did nothing for the noise control. Also, the SPA requests you must arrive 30 minutes before your treatment time. I got my parking validated BUT we stayed for brunch who also validated our parking but we went over the 4 hours so we got no discount for parking and we were charged the full $35 fee plus tip for the valet. The valet staff was quite nasty telling me we were there too long for the discount BUT each one of those alone qualified for a discounted valet. You can not do both in the 4 hour window.

The staff were generally friendly, and a few were especially helpful. They handled three packages I had shipped to the hotel efficiently, though there was a sizable per-package fee. Small touches like afternoon boozy gelato samples and a lobby change machine for breaking $20s into $5s were appreciated. Breakfast at Lolo's was decent. My Marriott status included breakfast for two, though the included menu was much shorter than the regular one and the portions were modest. Still, the food was cooked to order, tasted good, and the servers kindly let me order both breakfasts since I was traveling alone. I didn't try the Japanese restaurant on site, but I heard good things and enjoyed the neighborhood restaurants instead, especially La Grande Boucherie. I paid a substantial premium for an oceanfront double room, but I'm not sure I would do that again. The balcony and glass door were fairly small, and the balcony felt boxed in for privacy. Next time I might prefer a cheaper park-side room on a higher floor, which could still offer a nice park and ocean view. The biggest disappointment was the late checkout. My Marriott Platinum Elite status is supposed to include guaranteed 4 p.m. late checkout, but the hotel would not honor it. Each day I was told to check again later, and in the end they could only offer 1 p.m. That created real scheduling problems, since I had planned around the advertised benefit. With no good place in the hotel to work or take calls after checkout, I ended up going to the airport hours early. The status is supposed to provide a room upgrade, but that wasn't available either. A couple of other issues matched complaints I had seen in recent reviews. One elevator stopped for several minutes with a group of us inside and did not respond to the buttons, which was uncomfortable even though the door eventually opened. I also received a call inviting me downstairs for a "welcome gift," which turned out to be a Marriott Vacation Club sales pitch. That should be presented more honestly. Overall, this was a decent stay and I might return. But given the failure to honor the guaranteed 4 p.m. late checkout, I would compare other options carefully before booking again.

The kind of place where…read moreyou walk into the lobby and instantly feel like you've stepped into a glossy magazine spread. High ceilings, marble everywhere, and a buzz that tells you you're in the right place. What impressed me most? There's genuinely plenty to do for all ages, which is not something you can say about every Miami resort. Whether you're traveling with kids, teens, adults, or a multigenerational crew, everyone finds their lane here. The pool scene is the heartbeat of the property. Multiple pools, each with its own personality -- family-friendly areas with space to splash, quieter corners for lounging, and the high-energy spots where the music and cocktails flow. Service was dialed in across the board: fast, friendly, and always one step ahead. Rooms were spotless and stylish, with balconies that make you want to order room service just to soak in the view a little longer. Housekeeping kept everything crisp, and every request was met with that effortless "of course" attitude. Dining is another standout. From quick bites to full-on fine dining, everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Even the grab-and-go spots felt elevated. And if nightlife is your thing, you don't need to leave the property -- the energy here after dark is pure Miami. But if you're traveling with kids or just want a low-key night, the resort still feels comfortable and accessible. Fontainebleau nails that rare balance of iconic luxury and all-ages fun. It's bold, glamorous, and buzzing in all the right ways, yet still manages to be welcoming and easy to enjoy no matter who you're traveling with. A true Miami classic that continues to deliver. Enjoy

This is a tourist trap extraordinaire. It made me feel like I was paying to be in a place trying to extract from me, not serve me. And yes, I did complain twice to the front staff about these issues - to stony faces and lame excuses that were canned and code for "we don't care." The resort fee is $60/day (which is not made clear on Orbitz, where I booked it), yet when I went in February the pool and all outdoor facilities - which is what the resort fee pays for - closed at 6pm. We were told it closes at "sundown," even though they clearly have outdoor lights for the whole outside facility. Want to swim in the evening or night? Nope. All those pictures with the pool lit up? Not for you. And if you dare to be in the pool at 6:01, there were six staff for every one guest to tell you to get out. Seriously, we got warnings to get out at 10min to 6, 5min to 6, and at 6:00. Why every five minutes? Because a group of staff members were hovering over us, watching and waiting for the moment to kick us out. Very relaxing. You have to wear an armband everywhere you go. Staff are at every door as you go in or out - hotel to pool or pool to beach - monitoring you to produce it. Very relaxing. There is no coffee in the room, forcing you to travel across the whole huge facility (3 towers connected by long walks) to their coffee shop to pay $10 for a cup of coffee each morning. You could walk all the way back to your room, or - like me - you can try to drink it by the pool. But NO! You can't sit by the pool. Those seats and lounges require you to pay a fee, even in February when there was NO ONE there. If you don't want to pay, you can find a free lounge on the outer fringes. And if you try to sit without paying, there are staff to tell you to move immediately. Hovering, as usual. To get a lounge on the beach - in February, low season - we had to get in line to sign up for a chair and then get in a second line of 20-30 people and wait in the hot sun for an available, assigned chair and a staff person to take us there. Grab a chair and relax? Nope. It's a monitored system. When we checked out, the staff told us there were too many rooms to provide a coffee maker in each one. I guess their policy is to assume their guests are stupid.

I asked repeatedly for an early, 2pm check-in. When I go there around 2:15, the front desk area was in chaos. There were 2 people being waited on and I was first in line, but had to wait for ~10 minutes to get any attention. Even with repeated communication, the room was not ready. My kids were heading into melt down mode. Not a great start. I got a call at 2:45 that my room was ready. We headed back around 4 and then it was the same chaos, and very long wait to get our 1 piece of luggage. Once upstairs, the hotel is very neat and tidy and our room was a 2 bedroom suite with a balcony, facing the bay and city. The condition and working order of the room, bathroom, and kitchenette were excellent. We loved the minimalist aesthetic. They did have a happy bday card and some chocolates for me in my room - a very nice touch. The main event downstairs is the pool area. They had a DJ playing vibey lounge music and it was packed with people chilling and drinking as mature adults. Definitely not a wild spring break scene. The pool is heated, too. The best is being in the pool as the sun sets - very magical as the place goes from day to night. Great hotel - lousy front desk. I reviewed the restaurant, Baia, separately - great waterfront vibes, so-so food, and disorganized service.

I went to order an empanada from the front and the man that was behind the counter (after taking a 80 payment for 3 food items and 2 coffees..) walked to the front desk gave the girl a hug went outside did some stuff and then came back to make our drinks. I don't even understand what happened there there was one employee working behind and he just walked away. I was told from the front desk that they only have one available cart for us to use and that the carts they had the previous day "disappeared"- the bellman was incredibly rude and laughed at me bc I asked how the carts from yesterday just disappeared... (might've been a bad question but a place like this that is so expensive... it makes no sense to have 1 cart in the entire hotel) I had to ask I believe a manager(Sebastian) he was so incredibly helpful and got us what we needed and really was the only helpful staff member there he rocks, he apologized oh behalf of the other staff and was helpful and patient with the situation! The food was probably the worst food I have ever eaten- they need to figure out that situation first. For the prices they charge I really wanted to tell the chef face to face how bad it was. The fish was over cooked to the point it was literally so crispy like a French fry there was no moisture left in the fish. The fries (were very good) the coleslaw had no flavor it tasted like mayo and cabbage like nothing else seemed to be in it.. somehow bland... The fish was bland. The tartar sauce was bland. Somehow even the horseradish sauce they gave me was bland. It was sincerely the worst fish fry I have ever eaten in my entire life. And I do not say that lightly........Really haven't had an experience like this anywhere else it was utterly ridiculous absolutely laughable for what they charge and the location. The best part if my meal was the fried and ketchup. So sad. The pastries? The chefs makes pretty croissants but the filling is absolutely terrible it was like curry chicken and peppers nothing like a chicken empanada.. didn't have any beef options all in all I would absolutely never recommend this place to anybody ever. Seems like it's going downhill or staff just doesn't care! I've seen the other recent reviews and they aren't great.. Doesn't seem like they let the chefs put anything on the menu themselves and really streamlined the whole thing terribly. I would not recommend this hotel unless you want rude service and terrible food. The only good thing about this place is that it's on the water..
