Perfect location in South Beach without being in the chaos, especially if you have children. We were greeted with welcome sangrias too . Included with your resort fee are cool fitness sessions, daily gelato, and complimentary beach chairs. Umbrella is not included ($30 extra) and the day beds run around $300 - $350. It also included 2 hour bike Art Deco tour. Self parking is $55 and Valet is $58 so really no difference. Anything you care to do is probably walking distance which is great including a park for pets and kids. There is an on location restaurant called LoLo's Surf Cantina that you can order to the beach after 11:00 am. The rooms are small but accommodating. The only reason I cannot give 5 stars is because the upkeep is moderate. We found serval places with mold, dust, and stains. read more

I stayed at this Marriott and generally had a good experience, but not quite a four-star one. The location is excellent, and the price was reasonable by luxury beachfront South of Fifth standards. The staff were generally friendly, and a few were especially helpful. They handled three packages I had shipped to the hotel efficiently, though there was a sizable per-package fee. Small touches like afternoon boozy gelato samples and a lobby change machine for breaking $20s into $5s were appreciated. Breakfast at Lolo's was decent. My Marriott status included breakfast for two, though the included menu was much shorter than the regular one and the portions were modest. Still, the food was cooked to order, tasted good, and the servers kindly let me order both breakfasts since I was traveling alone. I didn't try the Japanese restaurant on site, but I heard good things and enjoyed the neighborhood restaurants instead, especially La Grande Boucherie. I paid a substantial premium for an oceanfront double room, but I'm not sure I would do that again. The balcony and glass door were fairly small, and the balcony felt boxed in for privacy. Next time I might prefer a cheaper park-side room on a higher floor, which could still offer a nice park and ocean view. The biggest disappointment was the late checkout. My Marriott Platinum Elite status is supposed to include guaranteed 4 p.m. late checkout, but the hotel would not honor it. Each day I was told to check again later, and in the end they could only offer 1 p.m. That created real scheduling problems, since I had planned around the advertised benefit. With no good place in the hotel to work or take calls after checkout, I ended up going to the airport hours early. The status is supposed to provide a room upgrade, but that wasn't available either. A couple of other issues matched complaints I had seen in recent reviews. One elevator stopped for several minutes with a group of us inside and did not respond to the buttons, which was uncomfortable even though the door eventually opened. I also received a call inviting me downstairs for a "welcome gift," which turned out to be a Marriott Vacation Club sales pitch. That should be presented more honestly. Soooo...overall a pleasant stay in spite of my two stars. But here's the thing...if we paid $200 a night I would rate this a four star. However since we paid tripple that price I have to be way more critical. The staff makes it extra special. They were all friendly and had the "I can do it for you attitude." Kudos to the staff. Our "up-graded" room facing half ocean/city was tiny, a tad worn, had a very nice view, and non impressive toiletrees. The worst part of our room was the side of the hotel we were on. Our room was on the industrial exhaust fans side and it was extremely noisy. Had to keep our balcony door closed to drown out the noise. The location of the hotel, as others mentioned is ideal. Now here is the scary part...we got stuck on the elevator two times. It wasn't a long time but enough to scare me especially since I am very claustrophobic. I ended up taking the stairs to the 9th floor the rest of our stay. They did fix the elevator but this happened to quite a few guests and they didn't shut the elevator. Our complimentary breakfast (free with my Marriott status) was not the best. Breakfast is served in the attached Mexican restaurant which is not owned by Marriott. It is not a buffet. While standing in line we were harassed and given a sales pitch about their time share by a staff member who introduced herself as wanting to help our check in process (she didn't). Rooms were small. Vacationing in Miami Beach was kind of an impromptu trip. The rule was, wherever the weather's best that's where the vacation will be. Works for me. I packed my bags and chilled until the decision was made. Quite happy with the end result. The Marriott Stanton located walking distance from the Art Deco District and a plethora of diverse restaurants, was a good choice. Our King Room was spacious and importantly clean. No undesirable issues. Perfect Balcony Oceanview, steps away from the beach to capture the amazing sunrise. I get the appeal why people want to live by the beach. Splitting our time between the beach and the hotel pool, we were able to witness the young pool staff effectively navigate their jobs professionally and courteously. It was a sight to see these youngsters at work. I have to give Shout Outs to the following. This is a mixed review. When I first arrived at the Marriott Stanton South Beach, I had an uncomfortable experience with the valet. He did something that felt unprofessional and really put me off right from the start. It bothered me enough that I ended up submitting feedback through the hotel's website to let the front desk know. That said, here's the part where things turned around. From the moment our luggage entered the lobby, the experience improved a lot. Check-in was super easy, and we decided to upgrade to an ocean view room which I totally recommend. I mean, how often do you stay at a hotel literally on South Beach in Miami? (Don't answer that if the answer is "often". I'll be too jealous.) The beach itself was stunning, and the view from our room was absolutely beautiful. We ordered room service one morning and it came quickly, which was a nice surprise. The bed was comfy, and I really loved the shower. It definitely felt like a luxurious stay after that rocky start. It's also worth noting that the hotel is within walking distance to some great restaurants (Review within a review, but we love Joe's Stone Crab as well), and there's direct beach access. We didn't take full advantage of the amenities, but we did dip our feet in the ocean one morning. I also think I spotted a Starbucks in the lobby, which is always a bonus. One of the elevators was out during our stay, which caused some delays and mild frustration among guests. It wasn't ideal, but I figure that was just bad timing and not a reflection on the hotel overall. In the end, I'm giving this hotel 3 out of 5 stars. This is a great hotel as it's situated right by the beach and walking distance from many good restaurants. It's also a quick 15 minutes from the port if you're cruising out of Miami. It is valet only at a whooping $42 a day to park! They do provide bikes to use during your stay. There is also a small fitness center with a few cardio machines, dumbells, and 2 cable column machines. The pool deck has 2 pools and a hot tub with a nearby bar. They provide 2 lounge chairs if you go down to the beach. Starbucks is located on the ground floor. There are also 2 restaurants on site: Azabu, a Michelin star rated sushi restaurant, and Lolo's, a Mexican cantina. All food services have an 18 percent service charge already attached to your bill. There is a CVS vending machine on site as well for your forgotten meds and toiletries. There is also a spa on site. The staff is friendly and the property is clean. However, the elevators are very, very slow!! We opted to take the flight of stairs during our stay with the exception of when we left since we had luggage to tend to. Stayed from 8/28-9/1 and every staff member we encountered was extraordinary. From the moment we pulled up, we were greeted with friendly welcomes, smiles and helpfulness. They unloaded the car for us and held our luggages so we could check in. We were offered delicious sangria while getting checked in. I can't remember the name of the person that checked us in but she was phenomenal. Gave us a map, and circled all her recommendations to visit/dine at. By the 2nd night, valet team and some of the front desk staff knew all our names. (There were 5 of us). Pretty impressive! Room was clean, view was beautiful. Only complaint was the room was super hot when we first got there bc the AC was off. But no biggie. Everything was just a stone's throw away. First time here and had no complaints. Our stay was a short overnighter as we flew in from LA and were heading out the next morning for a cruise. This place has really gone down hill over the years. I used to come here twice a year, every year for the last 15 years. No more! Rooms need a refresh. They have cheapened the mattresses, sheets, and towel quality. But MOST IMPORTANTLY the management no longer cares at all about guest experience! The Stanton is located south of 5th ave in South Beach so the neighborhood is quieter, cleaner, and a little less extra than everything north of it. Yet you are still easy walking distance (or ride share) to all that you want from SoBe. It's also right on the beach. And when you leave an almost straight shot to the airport or Port of Miami. The rooms are clean, sleek, well appointed, spacious, and updated. And while some have ocean views, even the city views are worth it. Caryn at the front desk was a delight and very helpful. Outside there are two infinity edge pools with a hot tub in between. The pool deck is surrounded by ample chairs and day beds as well as umbrellas, with a dedicated towel station. Across the walkway is a stretch of some of the best beach in Miami with hotel beach attendants and food and beverage service. Again, the hotel offers plenty of chairs, umbrellas and day beds. Service is above average and everyone is friendly and ready to assist. This hotel charges a resort fee. Normally not a fan because these are typically just money grabs used by hotels to show a lower rate online compared to its competitors. The value is usually not there, and it leaves a bad taste. The main thing this place has going for it is the location and view, as long as you get an oceanfront view. The rooms are very small but if you get the large balcony, it's totally worth it. It's basically the only thing we enjoyed here. We arrived late on a weekday after flying across country. Checkin was quick and we were hungry. Then we found out room service doesn't last all night, not even late for that matter. We were able to get takeout from the sushi restaurant downstairs for very overpriced food. We finally learned just to use Uber eats if we were hungry. It really stinks paying so much for a room and hardly even getting anything worthwhile. The service at the hotel was so slow and sometimes they wouldn't even show up when asking for something as simple as toilet paper or towels. The pool situation was another annoying problem. If you want a chair at the pool you have to reserve it and wait until they call you. If the beach wasn't so windy and full of seaweed we would have just gone there. There's a small grocery store a few blocks away where we would load up on drinks and snacks. There's a few places to eat around the hotel as well but nothing amazing. I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Marriott Stanton South Beach hotel, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The 5-star service I received from Audrey, Kristina, and the valet staff was truly remarkable (Apologies, I'm forgetting the 2 guys that I talked to mainly, but top-tier service). Audrey and Kristina went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction throughout my stay. They were always ready to assist with any questions I had, provide recommendations for local attractions, and made me feel like a valued guest. I stay in room #1035, which was the Oceanview King. One standout aspect of my stay was the impeccable cleanliness of the hotel and its property. The attention to detail in maintaining a pristine environment did not go unnoticed. It's clear that the Marriott Stanton South Beach takes cleanliness and hygiene seriously, which is especially reassuring in these times. The extensive list of amenities included with the resort fee was a pleasant surprise. From access to the fitness center to the well-appointed pool area, I had everything I needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay right on-site. It's evident that the hotel values its guests' comfort and convenience. My only 4 criticisms with all the positives I've listed above are: 1. Big water bottles are not included with your stay, they charge $6 to the room per bottle for life water 33.8 oz. (But if you want free water you can get mini cold bottles of water downstairs by the valet booth) 2. There is no microwave or silverware in the room. 3. There is a mini fridge in the room, but it doesn't have a freezer compartment. 4. Chairs and towels are included on the beach, but umbrellas are not. Even with Marriott gold elite status or higher and even with the resort fee. They are $25 each day. Thats's it. Very mild criticisms, if you ask me. Other than that, it was amazing! Pretty solid location, I was only here for 1 night. The beach is only a few steps away. The staff here was very accommodating. Good Bonvoy status recognition, I got upgraded without asking, there is breakfast for platinum and above. There is a resort fee, but there a lot of useful amenities such as beach chairs, bike rentals, etc. My only dislikes were the stairs from the driveway, no ramp or elevator so you have to carry your bags up. The room was not ready many many hours later The internet was hit or miss, a problem for business travelers like me. Otherwise, it was a great hotel. there was water in the lobby, a starbucks next door, and a great beach. The room was okay, it was sort of older and worn. The morning breakfast restaurant is a journey to get to. I hung out on the deck before my room was ready and the service staff must have walked by 20 times and never once asked me if I wanted or needed anything, they checked on others though. their loss, I had money. The beach was quite nice, direct access from the hotel. The hotel pool was busy but sort of small. There was free alcoholic gelato and that was nice! Here now with my husband who is lifetime Titanium. It's been a tough visit. No communication was ever shared about the elevator not working . No upgrades and the property is full with not enough staff at front desk . You can't get pool chairs and the beach is the same way. Love that it is busy, but the show of no loyalty to the Bonvoy members is embarrassing. We have been coming to this property for over 20 yrs We are back in Miami next month and sad to say we went out yesterday and found another property. Marriot, you can do better! Loved every second of this day. The staff is so friendly and really went above and beyond. For the $35 resort fee you get so much free stuff. I haven't had this level of hospitality and a hotel in a long time. Outside they have two pools, a hot tub and games. It's just seconds away from the beach. There's also some fun games outside like ping-pong and cornhole. I love the proximity to Starbucks and the restaurant Lolos was good as well and you get two free margaritas just for staying in the hotel. You also get a free salt scrub from the spa. We took advantage of the free bike rental and rode by the beach and down Ocean Dr. Would definitely stay here again. Super close to all the action and has a quite feel about it. read more

Marriott Lifetime Platinum Elite member here. First morning I woke up with an insect bite of some type on my ear and blood on my pillow as well as little black marks on the sheets. Concerned I looked inside the zipped-up pillow case and found large red staining and spots. After contacting the manager and moving rooms and finding several large stains on the mattress in the new room, I was further concerned about the housekeeping service and possible lack of. So decided to mark my pillow cases and sheets before maid service to see if the were being changed. The housekeeper failed to change the sheets and pillowcases, just remade the bed. They failed to even take out the overflowing garbage. This is after I left a $10 tip mind you. This happened multiple times. Our housekeeper did not change the sheets up to 10 days. Frustrated we opted to go buy cleaning supplies and clean daily ourselves. Searching another travel site I found another review from a Lifetime Platinum Marriott member reporting Bed Bug insect bites and blood on the sheets earlier in the year. I would not recommend this hotel, I have never paid $350-$450 a night to sleep on the same dirty pillow cases, sheets and a stained mattress. By far this was the dirties Marriott and worst housekeeping service I have had over the past decade. For more info see photos, I would also recommend reading the other 1-star reviews on other travel sites, there are also a lot of reports of thefts in reviews on travel sites. I will say I did notice some pretty shady characters during our stay. And even though they lock the front door and you have to use a key card to enter the property after 11:00pm, one of the elevators is accessible right off the entrance in the garage and defeats the purpose as it goes to any floor without a key card. Strangely the elevators aren't key card access enabled so anyone can walk in of the street and go straight to your room door on any floor. Someone did try to open our door twice in the middle of the night, I travel with a door lock that makes it impossible to open the door even with a key, it paid off this time. But the attempt was enough to startle us and wake us up. The pools and staff at the pool are nice, and Lolos is great for breakfast. What a great spot! We were first time visitors to Miami and just knew we wanted to be close to the action in South Beach so we booked this hotel. It is in a more quiet part of the south beach experience but that was honestly fine by us. The hustle and bustle of the "crazy" part is walkable or a really short Uber and we liked the separation. The hotel is updated and all the staff was really friendly. They had 2 restaurants on site which was nice, especially after a long day of travel just to walk downstairs for a quick bite. The room was very nice. Not too big but plenty for what you need. We were on the top floor and loved the beach balcony!! The room also comes with 2 beach chairs which was awesome. We had a great day on the beach. You can rent an umbrella from them for an additional fee. Overall, highly recommend this hotel! read more

After seeing reviews about the closed secondary pool and elevator, my family and I were skeptical about this location and almost switched as this was my girlfriend and I's college graduation celebration trip! However, after experiencing the amazing service Marriott Stanton had to offer we did not look back! Gael, and especially Fred made our poolside experience all the more better with their attentive and friendly service! Not to mention the amenities around the beach and pool were amazing and the rooms were very nice and the beds were very comfortable. Fred was always on it with the food and drinks, and was very personable and we would come back to say hi just to Fred alone! My family and I would gladly come back to this location and I can't even fathom how much better the already amazing stay would be with the extra pool and elevator open! read more

This was our 3rd time staying here. We almost changed at the last minute given the bad reviews, elevator still broken and 2nd pool closure. I'm so glad that we didn't. We love this hotel because it's location is incredible, all of the best of south beach (beach, restaurants, less craziness). The pool is relaxing, family friendly and easy to unwind (it wasn't as crowded as we expected). We hit all of our favorite restaurants (Carbone, Call Me Gaby, Stubborn Seed) in walking distance and Fred provided incredible pool-side service! It's true that the hotel is a bit worn down, but the vibes and location make up for it. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. We will be back again. read more

Location, location, location is the best thing about this hotel. Friendly first contact. Generally helpful, professional, knowledgeable staff. Checking in as platinum members room was ready for early check-in as requested. Opted for the "best" king room in the place but it was NOT. Pros - Smart Tv with sufficient channels - clean bed linens, nice pillows, and sufficient mattress - Accessible plug sockets for various devices - WiFi - Good natural light from huge sliding doors Cons: - room next to public door access - small floor plan; minimal space for relaxing in room (1 chair, 1 desk chair, king bed, no microwave, no snacks) -No seating for at least two persons or place to eat-in - 4th floor ocean view - No privacy from extended balcony (mezzanine-level, open to public balcony on right; above and neighboring balconies view onto this balcony) - decor out-of-date - several unfinished and/or unfixed areas - flat and hard feeling towels - empty shower gel container - no plugs on balcony I would visit the property again but probably wouldn't opt for the additional expense of this room (#439); not worth it. read more

We arrived at 6 and our room wasn't ready, one of the two elevators were broken spent most of the trip waiting for elevators. One pool was broken and the hot tub as well. $30 for a beach umbrella not included in resort fews. When you call the front desk no answers. We were offered little to no compensation. As a Mariott bonvoy member I was shocked and insulted. I have stayed at Mariott's around the world and have never had such a poor experience. I suggest choosing any other hotel along south beach. read more

Just finished my long weekend visit at Marriott Stanton. Disclaimer - I received the family rate for this hotel ($104 a night - and our "resort fee" was $105 for the 3 nights)... with that said... for what I paid, I was pretty pleased! There would've been no where else in SoBe at that price. I'll agree with other reviews that the rooms are slightly small but it worked well for my boyfriend and I. We had a city view with a smaller balcony. The pool area is nice and the chairs at the beach are great. Do I feel like I received $105 worth of benefits... not really. The fee also includes bikes but we didn't take advantage of those. My biggest gripe was my room keys stopped working (but the mobile app key did) and then my mobile key stopped working. Elevator was also having issues. Buttons weren't working so you'd just sit on the elevator. They eventually marked that out of order and then you'd wait 5 minutes for the single working elevator. I've seen prices for these room range from $300-850. I do not feel the hotel would be worth that price. It is in a fairly quiet location where you're not in the middle of all the action and that's nice. read more
