The best hidden secret is the spa ... Mon -Thur if you're not staying here , you can hit the spa as long as you buy retail or a service over $125 , then you get to use the facilities hammam, gym, pool . Ask for Lorena for facials and Karen for nails

What an amazing way to spend a day in Miami. Although they have a membership, they also have spa day passes that give you full access to the properties amenities and a spa treatment. I paid 272 for a standard massage and it was so worth the splurge. My massage put me right to sleep lol. I went to the hammam, the sauna, the ice room, to the pool and back to the spa. It was a magical day and I can't wait to do it again!

Wooo hoo what a great getaway. Brought my team here for a half day of well deserved relaxation and fun. Chilled by the pool having spicy margs, we each had 90 min "hurt so good" massages then dinner & more drinks! The spot is a terrific oasis on the water. Food, drinks, vibe was spectacular, service on point. Skirt steak was my fav and bread pudding. Prices are a bit upscale as you would expect on the beach.

Spa review!! As a local, I have frequented the standard as a guest, for brunch and happy hour/dinner at Lido and have always loved the experience. For my birthday, I decided to make a day of it, purchasing a spa service. I got the standard massage and planned to enjoy the amenities and pool. Upon arrival, the front desk was distracted by another guest and the woman checking me in was distracted, responding to other guest while checking me in which wasn't the most welcoming. I also feel there could have been greater orientation upon checking in. I'm petite and received a huge robe that reached my feet with one broken loop but saw others walking around with a smaller sized one but maybe they were out at the time but just lack of attention to detail and service. There were no tissues, toilet paper in two bathrooms, or paper towels in rest room. As for the massage, the masseuse was knowledgeable and provided excellent feedback on issues I was having. She did great work in identifying issues but when focusing on other parts of body, I didn't feel there was much work being done but overall decent experience. After my massage, I was somehow locked out of my locker which happened to another guest shortly after. I went to front desk for help and was told they'd send someone right away.. 20 mins later, nothing so I picked up the phone and called, same thing "right away".. 15 minutes later, nothing so I went to front desk again asking if it was normal to wait 40 mins to get into my locker. The woman that checked me in immediately helped and stated she did not know there was anyone locked out so perhaps the other individual was training and that's why the service was off. I was annoyed to waste time with the locker issue but moving on- it was such a beautiful day, I didn't want to spend it inside. I felt the amenities besides the hammam were somewhat small and with it being coed and multiple groups having loud conversations, it was not that relaxing. The hammam area has ice baths in same area, and there are showers and the sauna. There is also a small lounge which had tea, no water and ice room down the hall. The only cooler I found for water was in the hammam. I wasn't that impressed by the amenities as I don't enjoy the ice room or baths so I ventured to the garden and pool. The gardens are so tranquil and beautiful. The pool has a breathtaking view and the pool is large and spacious with many seating options. I ordered a salad at the pool which was delicious. They have water coolers out to access but it was a task to flag someone to bring fresh ice water. I spent the day at the pool then headed over to Lido for 4-6 happy hour, ordering shrimp and guacamole. Shrimp were large and delicious.. guac not that flavorful. Afterwards, I headed to the hammam but same experience-- crowded and loud conversations. I could not imagine on a weekend when it's busier what the experience would be. Perhaps, I was looking for a relaxing tranquil day which I thought I'd have on a Monday but it seems this would be a good spa experience with a friend or as a group. Before leaving, I couldn't miss the sunset over the bay so I returned to the pool. Overall, the spa purchase is worth the service for access to the property as a weekday day pass is $100 anyways. However, if it wasn't for the property and pool, I doubt I'd return to the spa. Parking is also very expensive ($45 for first 5 hours then $5/hr.. $60 total) with limited options for parking elsewhere. I would highly recommend the experience although I feel there is definitely room for improvement at the spa!

Love love love!!!!!! Anyone who does not love this hotel takes themselves too seriously. What other hotel has an ice machine with a sign that says "Ice Ice Baby"!? Great poolside vibes. So fun being on the water with massive yachts dropping by to party with us. Excellent poolside / waterfront restaurant and bar. I had the poke bowl and it was divine. Best of all was every single staff member was outrageously fun, friendly, helpful and amazing!!!! From the managers who introduced themselves to the cheerful valet who had been up working all night when I checked out at 5am. You guys rock!!!! I will be back!!

LOVED THIS PLACE Everyone was sooooo nice and helpful The spa is impeccable and relaxing They have tons of amenities and you access to the hotel pool and restaurant They have a jacuzzi and cold plunge outside as well My masseuse was Carmen and she was phenomenal!! I don't remember the server in the restaurant i believe it was chuck, he was so helpful and hilarious The food was surprisingly delicious- my husband is picky with the steak cook and he almost licked the plate We had the best day and we are already planning to go back

The spa is heavenly...the lighting is so soothing. Check out my pics to see what I'm talking about..the orange light is amazing! It soothing yet energetic yet cozy and sweet like an orange! Can you tell I enjoyed it?! LOL To begin, I valeted my car for $30 for 3 hours and there's an additional $5 for each additional hour! But it was raining and I didn't wanna deal with driving around so I paid what I paid.... The minute you walk in the lobby you are transformed to another realm...the place itself is gorg! Very aesthetically pleasing...hard to explain but so beautiful! Like a rare flower! You smell me? LOL Then you take a left from the lobby and take the elevator to the 3rd floor! And once there, you totally forgot about the outside world! It felt like a total suspension of my outside life, all the worries, stress, negative energy just stays behind the door! I am not kidding! The energy there is fabulous! Heavenly! Healing! There are different rooms: an amazing big sauna, a very cold room burrrrrrr, a steam room, plenty of showers, a big common area with bath tubs all around in a big communal circle! The locker rooms have a very soothing hue of blue, very pleasing to my eyes...there are attendants that are willing to help you...I met a really special one from Ethiopia! I got lost Mira times than I can count and she was there to help like an angel...thank you for helping me! : D There's also a magic lounge with a view that looks out to the ocean! That view is everything! I must've spent a half hour just staring out that window sipping on the complimentary iced tea! The iced tea tasted like hibiscus and the whole room smelled so good! THE ENTIRE PLACE SMELLS GOOOOOD! The energy was high, the service amazing, and the facilities...mama Mia!!! Do yourself a favor and get your butt to the spa at The Standard you will be glad you did! An added bonus, and not too sound shallow but there was A LOT of EYE CANDY for everyone!! That's just an added bonus! ; ) plenty of nice looking guys and girls! I was not mad about that! LMAO! ; )

I had a really great afternoon here! I was invited by a friend and we spent the afternoon sitting on some chairs enjoying the water. The pool was refreshing and they were very attentive with the drinks! Enjoyed some margaritas and ordered some food to snack on which was very good. I've lived in Miami Beach for a couple years and I'm surprised I never spent the day here before.

I loved my stay here. While the rooms are a little small, I really didn't mind. The service is great, the grounds are beautiful and the food and drink is all really good. You also can't beat the view from the pool out to the bay. I will definitely be coming back!!

The Standard Spa Hotel is located in the Belle Isle area, an easy walk from Sunset Harbour. I've stayed here a few times, and I love what they have done with the addition of the speakeasy and cafe (both located right of the front desk). It's definitely known for the grounds, as it gives a beachy/retro/fun vibe with various garden areas. Room (2/5): The beds are not that comfortable, and the rooms are relatively small (even the largest ones they offer with the bathtub on the terrace +/- hot tub). The bathroom is fun but small, as there is a large mirror wall inside the shower. There is a mini-fridge stocked with refreshments and with snacks above the mini-fridge. Other than this, I thought the rooms could be much better. The walls are rather thin, and you can hear everything. Recently, the occupants next to us were partying until 5 AM, and the dog was vocal here and there. Another negative is the lack of electric wall plugs in the room. It's the real downside of this hotel in my opinion. Hamam (5/5): Must-visit, whether staying or only doing the spa service. There is a main hamam room with 4 bathtubs. To the right, there is a rinse room and steam room. To the left, there is a sound shower room and sauna room. Outside the hamam, there is an ice room and meditation/sound room that overlooks into the ocean. Spa (3/5): I've had facials and massages here. It's rather a hit-or-miss situation with them. Honestly, I would try other spa places before coming here because you are spending a similar price compared to places with 5-star services. There are no cool refreshments or snacks. They do not really guide you around to take you from one place to the next. Pool (4/5): It gets quite full during the weekends. You must come early to get a spot by the pool. The cold water immersion is quite popular, as it activates the body's natural healing powers. You can order some food items from the Lido Bayside Grill, which I am not the biggest fan of (because the cafe is tastier). The views from the pool/Lido Bayside Grill is phenomenal, especially with the views of downtown and Sunset Harbour marina. It's also great to check-out in the evening, especially when on a date. Speakeasy (5/5): It probably fits about 12-14 people. The bartenders are very personable, and the drinks are delicious. It's definitely a great place to start before you leave or a great place to end the night. Cafe (5/5): I love to sit in the corner back table to have a view of everything and people-watch. I highly recommend getting the Vegan Bahn-Mi because it's delicious! It's rather a bit more of the bread side, but it's tasty. My friend also loved the vegan avocado toast with a side of hot sauce. I've tried 3 of the smoothies there, and they were all good. Would I come back? I would only for the experience. If you want a comfortable sleep, then definitely go somewhere else.

I will start off by saying that I am a true spa snob, and my expectations bar is pretty high. I haven't been to The Standard Spa since before COVID, and not sure I'd be back any time soon given my experience yesterday. Please note this review for the spa only, not Hotel or Lido (separate reviews). Here is a summary of pluses and minuses: Pluses: - easy and efficient booking process - quick checkout - professional front desk staff - beautiful Hamam Minuses: - my "hurts so good" massage was not a deep tissue at all despite me asking to add pressure and depth. The therapist began massage with my feet (? Never had one in that sequence and spent very little time on the areas that matter) - the treatment room was cold and full of light, hard to relax - there were loud conversations in the hallway which were distracting - there were NO spa amenities like hot tea or lemon water, I mean nothing, no water at all 60 minute massage cost me $273 including 20% tip which was automatically included. I pay the same or even less at the Edition Hotel Spa and the Setai Valmont but much much better value at both. You get to relax in a beautiful setting before and after, they serve you different teas, snacks and even sparkling (all in!), etc. the standard spa felt like a common bathroom in a dorm room. I wish I could say "you get what you pay for" but in this case, I get better experience at my local Massage Envy.

My gf and I stopped through here on our way out before boarding our flights later in the afternoon. If you're toting your luggage and not a hotel guest, you will have to find another hotel to store your luggage while enjoying this most decadent brunch experience. Luckily we arrived early enough to our reservations to sort that out. Reservations are a must if you don't want to wait. The restaurant is gorgeous with various spaces designed differently but keeps to the exotic Asian theme. Dining in the atrium near the water feature in the middle with stage for the musicians is where we had our experience. Olga was our server. She brought us our special beverages not available at the bar: Bloody Mary's and endless bubbly in our glasses The offerings here are more than I can name, but there is something to satisfy every craving. The favorite for me is the caviar bar. It comes with all the proper fixings on a blini with Crème fraîche. Do you need a vodka shot to go with? Yes, that's also available also at the caviar station. Fresh raw oysters, clams or shrimp cocktail is available in abundance with everything else here. The ceviche was great. I passed on all the various noodles but had to have some lamb curry and basmati rice- delicious! I had some Peking Duck and leg of lamb at the meat station. The filet mignon and lamb chops was ordered and brought to the table. The leg of lamb and filet were slightly dry but still good. The lamb chops with chimichurri sauce was amazing- nuances of vibrant flavors. Assorted fresh fruits were a colorful collection of enticements. I saw some papaya and enjoyed its fresh, sweet juiciness. I am not a dessert person but had to try the key like pie. Then of course, the matcha dessert is a sitting temptation next to the pie. So, my dessert spoils were more than intended. What the hell right? Lol That was the sweet ending to my Setai brunch. There was so much more such as bread, fried stuff, eggs, bagel station, toast etc. One can only eat so much. I stuck to enjoying my favorites. The experience is pricey but so worth it. It is truly the best brunch experience I've ever had. - better than Vegas and a cruise ship!! I always have to experience a Setai brunch whenever in Miami!

However since we paid tripple that price I have to be way more critical. The staff makes it extra special. They were all friendly and had the "I can do it for you attitude." Kudos to the staff. Our "up-graded" room facing half ocean/city was tiny, a tad worn, had a very nice view, and non impressive toiletrees. The worst part of our room was the side of the hotel we were on. Our room was on the industrial exhaust fans side and it was extremely noisy. Had to keep our balcony door closed to drown out the noise. The location of the hotel, as others mentioned is ideal. Now here is the scary part...we got stuck on the elevator two times. It wasn't a long time but enough to scare me especially since I am very claustrophobic. I ended up taking the stairs to the 9th floor the rest of our stay. They did fix the elevator but this happened to quite a few guests and they didn't shut the elevator. Our complimentary breakfast (free with my Marriott status) was not the best. Breakfast is served in the attached Mexican restaurant which is not owned by Marriott. It is not a buffet. Small menu with the basics. Food was fair. We enjoyed the pool and the short walk to the beach. The pool restaurant has the best hotdogs! And we also enjoyed the quinoa salad.

While…read morestanding in line we were harassed and given a sales pitch about their time share by a staff member who introduced herself as wanting to help our check in process (she didn't). Rooms were small. Tons of kids at the pool (which was closed 30 min into our one night stay due to code brown). We also paid extra for a balcony and this is what it looked like. Do your self a favor and stay somewhere else. Not worth the money.

The kind of place where…read moreyou walk into the lobby and instantly feel like you've stepped into a glossy magazine spread. High ceilings, marble everywhere, and a buzz that tells you you're in the right place. What impressed me most? There's genuinely plenty to do for all ages, which is not something you can say about every Miami resort. Whether you're traveling with kids, teens, adults, or a multigenerational crew, everyone finds their lane here. The pool scene is the heartbeat of the property. Multiple pools, each with its own personality -- family-friendly areas with space to splash, quieter corners for lounging, and the high-energy spots where the music and cocktails flow. Service was dialed in across the board: fast, friendly, and always one step ahead. Rooms were spotless and stylish, with balconies that make you want to order room service just to soak in the view a little longer. Housekeeping kept everything crisp, and every request was met with that effortless "of course" attitude. Dining is another standout. From quick bites to full-on fine dining, everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Even the grab-and-go spots felt elevated. And if nightlife is your thing, you don't need to leave the property -- the energy here after dark is pure Miami. But if you're traveling with kids or just want a low-key night, the resort still feels comfortable and accessible. Fontainebleau nails that rare balance of iconic luxury and all-ages fun. It's bold, glamorous, and buzzing in all the right ways, yet still manages to be welcoming and easy to enjoy no matter who you're traveling with. A true Miami classic that continues to deliver. Enjoy

This is a tourist trap extraordinaire. It made me feel like I was paying to be in a place trying to extract from me, not serve me. And yes, I did complain twice to the front staff about these issues - to stony faces and lame excuses that were canned and code for "we don't care." The resort fee is $60/day (which is not made clear on Orbitz, where I booked it), yet when I went in February the pool and all outdoor facilities - which is what the resort fee pays for - closed at 6pm. We were told it closes at "sundown," even though they clearly have outdoor lights for the whole outside facility. Want to swim in the evening or night? Nope. All those pictures with the pool lit up? Not for you. And if you dare to be in the pool at 6:01, there were six staff for every one guest to tell you to get out. Seriously, we got warnings to get out at 10min to 6, 5min to 6, and at 6:00. Why every five minutes? Because a group of staff members were hovering over us, watching and waiting for the moment to kick us out. Very relaxing. You have to wear an armband everywhere you go. Staff are at every door as you go in or out - hotel to pool or pool to beach - monitoring you to produce it. Very relaxing. There is no coffee in the room, forcing you to travel across the whole huge facility (3 towers connected by long walks) to their coffee shop to pay $10 for a cup of coffee each morning. You could walk all the way back to your room, or - like me - you can try to drink it by the pool. But NO! You can't sit by the pool. Those seats and lounges require you to pay a fee, even in February when there was NO ONE there. If you don't want to pay, you can find a free lounge on the outer fringes. And if you try to sit without paying, there are staff to tell you to move immediately. Hovering, as usual. To get a lounge on the beach - in February, low season - we had to get in line to sign up for a chair and then get in a second line of 20-30 people and wait in the hot sun for an available, assigned chair and a staff person to take us there. Grab a chair and relax? Nope. It's a monitored system. When we checked out, the staff told us there were too many rooms to provide a coffee maker in each one. I guess their policy is to assume their guests are stupid.

I asked repeatedly for an early, 2pm check-in. When I go there around 2:15, the front desk area was in chaos. There were 2 people being waited on and I was first in line, but had to wait for ~10 minutes to get any attention. Even with repeated communication, the room was not ready. My kids were heading into melt down mode. Not a great start. I got a call at 2:45 that my room was ready. We headed back around 4 and then it was the same chaos, and very long wait to get our 1 piece of luggage. Once upstairs, the hotel is very neat and tidy and our room was a 2 bedroom suite with a balcony, facing the bay and city. The condition and working order of the room, bathroom, and kitchenette were excellent. We loved the minimalist aesthetic. They did have a happy bday card and some chocolates for me in my room - a very nice touch. The main event downstairs is the pool area. They had a DJ playing vibey lounge music and it was packed with people chilling and drinking as mature adults. Definitely not a wild spring break scene. The pool is heated, too. The best is being in the pool as the sun sets - very magical as the place goes from day to night. Great hotel - lousy front desk. I reviewed the restaurant, Baia, separately - great waterfront vibes, so-so food, and disorganized service.

I went to order an empanada from the front and the man that was behind the counter (after taking a 80 payment for 3 food items and 2 coffees..) walked to the front desk gave the girl a hug went outside did some stuff and then came back to make our drinks. I don't even understand what happened there there was one employee working behind and he just walked away. I was told from the front desk that they only have one available cart for us to use and that the carts they had the previous day "disappeared"- the bellman was incredibly rude and laughed at me bc I asked how the carts from yesterday just disappeared... (might've been a bad question but a place like this that is so expensive... it makes no sense to have 1 cart in the entire hotel) I had to ask I believe a manager(Sebastian) he was so incredibly helpful and got us what we needed and really was the only helpful staff member there he rocks, he apologized oh behalf of the other staff and was helpful and patient with the situation! The food was probably the worst food I have ever eaten- they need to figure out that situation first. For the prices they charge I really wanted to tell the chef face to face how bad it was. The fish was over cooked to the point it was literally so crispy like a French fry there was no moisture left in the fish. The fries (were very good) the coleslaw had no flavor it tasted like mayo and cabbage like nothing else seemed to be in it.. somehow bland... The fish was bland. The tartar sauce was bland. Somehow even the horseradish sauce they gave me was bland. It was sincerely the worst fish fry I have ever eaten in my entire life. And I do not say that lightly........Really haven't had an experience like this anywhere else it was utterly ridiculous absolutely laughable for what they charge and the location. The best part if my meal was the fried and ketchup. So sad. The pastries? The chefs makes pretty croissants but the filling is absolutely terrible it was like curry chicken and peppers nothing like a chicken empanada.. didn't have any beef options all in all I would absolutely never recommend this place to anybody ever. Seems like it's going downhill or staff just doesn't care! I've seen the other recent reviews and they aren't great.. Doesn't seem like they let the chefs put anything on the menu themselves and really streamlined the whole thing terribly. I would not recommend this hotel unless you want rude service and terrible food. The only good thing about this place is that it's on the water..
