    Ice French Coffee

In the plaza of NBC Seafood, this place has such a casual bright ambiance. I wanted to get coffee and since I love their sandwiches (but already ate dimsum), I thought I'd order an iced coffee. I've only ever came here for sandwiches so it's my first time ordering a coffee. When ordering you ah w the option for sugar and or milk to be included. I wasn't sure so I asked no milk and with sugar. Once ordered, I got a receipt with an order number and can pick it up at the counter on the other side. It didn't take more than a few minutes for me to get my order! The coffee is strong and definitely wakes me up!

If you live around the area, then you know that Mr Baguette has been around for years and is a no-frill, staple in Monterey Park. There is plenty of seating in there and could be a great quiet study spot. I've been getting their Sesame Baguette and Reg Baguette for years, and have never been disappointed by their quality and consistency (10/10). Sometimes, if you get lucky, the baguette comes freshly baked and piping hot. Mr. Baguette also provides a variety of sandwiches and banh mi + house made drinks on the menu. Today was the first time I tried their #1 Special banh mi and was pleasantly surprised. It was a solid 8/10 for me. With the reasonable price point and proximity to my house, I would gladly visit Mr Baguette again!

The sandwiches are becoming a joke. They're thin with barely anything inside. Missing ingredients and they never add extra mayo or chili. Why is that option even available on the website then? The last time we called and complained the guy on the phone just blamed the "new worker". Funny because it's been like this for a while now. Coffee is still good though.

I've only tried Mr Lees sandwiches before, so I decided to try Mr Baguette because it gave the same vibe. Service was good, the ladies did their best to accommodate my tastebuds since I am always a little skeptical to try new cuisine. I opted for the american sandwich that was ham and cheese and decided to add egg on it; it was pretty good and simple. Bread wasn't stale but it was hard of texture like any other banh mi I've tried before. The dining area was spacious with plenty of seating. Alongside my sandwich, I ordered a vietnamese ice coffee which was STRONG. I was blown away how strong that coffee was I couldn't finish it because after a few sips I was WIRED. Overall it was a good experience but the food wasn't the best even though I did get a special on it. It's a good solid business with great customer service and convenient prices!

I ordered the Vietnamese combination sandwich at Mr. Baguette, and I genuinely regret every bite. The bread was so dry it felt like I was chewing through sandstone and my mouth turned into the Sierra Desert halfway through. The fillings were a scattered mess. Nothing worked together. It was like someone threw a bunch of random cold cuts into the bread and called it a day. No harmony, no balance, no flavor. I've had better cohesion from a sandwich I accidentally dropped.

Absolutely terrible employees here particularly the ladies in the back making the sandwich who treated me very rudely for requesting additional mayonnaise. Truly one of the most discourteous experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. ASKING FOR MAYO at a sandwich shop is exactly the equivalent of asking for ketchup at a burger shop or salsa at a Mexican food restaurant. I should not have been treated in a super disrespectful way and then DENIED service after I already paid for the food. I also asked for additional veggies on the sandwich when I ordered, the new hire forgot to charge for it... SO they came over to my table after I paid and asked me to pay an additional$.50. Imagine being so petty... but TRULY I didnt even trip at all!! IN FACT fact bought an extra baguette to take away. Then when I got my sandwiches, there was no extra mayonnaise, which I ordered. Chicken sandwich was dry as a bone. When I asked for extra mayo they looked at me like I was crazy. It's as if I had just asked them to sign over the deed of their home. They literally denied me and told me that they don't want to give it to me!!!! That was literally infuriating. I have actually been frequenting the other location on Valley for years, but I will never go to either of them again after this experience . And to the old lady; you need to watch the way you treat your customers. You don't have any respect for people who are patronizing your business, if you hate your job so much just quit. And let's be honest here; these ban mi are super mid quality. I only come here because these guys have the low price combo deal, so it's cheap. I suggest anyone who read reads this to try some other shops super near by, that have way better quality and won't treat you like a piece of garbage when you ask for a condiment that every restaurant on earth would give out for free. BA LE (way better) Banh Mi My Tho (way way better) Banh mi Che cali (even cheaper)

It's pretty good. The baguettes are fresh and service is quite good. It's a standard banh mi for ~$10. Would I recommend it? Probably not because of the higher price. That said, I would come back again if I'm in the area & really want a banh mi. There's a small seating area, but I think most folks order to go.

It's been a really long time since I've been back to this location in MPK. I came with my Dad on a weekday about 30 minutes before closing. It looked like they were done for the day since it was super empty, but we were helped out right away. We ordered a pork sandwich and chicken sandwich. They came out pretty quickly and was delicious! The bread was nice, warm and soft. Lots of the customers who came in after us seemed to have ordered just the baguette bread to take home, so I'll have to remember that for next time!

I have tried different sandwiches all are good, but I always come back for the baguette It is the best of the best for only $2.00 is fresh and you can make the best sandwich with it. The service is fine the ladies are super sweet and always greet you with a smile. They explained everything in her way possible since English isn't their language but they're the sweetest. The Ambiance is quite perfect for a chill conversation over a drink and a good sandwich with good company. The restrooms are clean and the parking lot is huge. Recommended it.

My favorite place to get a tuna sandwich!!! They're fast at making them, they come with a pickle and chile on the side, and the portion size is enough even for two people!

Some friends and I hit up Mr. Baguette after dim sum nearby for some Vietnamese coffee, and pork Bahn Mi (not pictured because I had no self-control), & chicken Pate Chaud (think croissant stuffed with ground chicken) to enjoy later. As a bonus I scored a free baguette for checking in on Yelp! The food and drinks were exceptional in portion-size and taste! The facilities were clean, and there was ample parking on the shopping center where the restaurant is located. 5/5!

As of June 30, 2025, they have a combo deal. Better deal if the sandwich and drink you like are on here.

I haven't had their coffee in a long time and I was craving for it. Saw they had a combo deal and I couldn't resist. I saved about $4 getting this combo instead of buying each item individually.

The vermicelli with nem nuong and egg rolls comes with a slab of meat and a whole egg roll. The bottom are the noodles and mix of veggie and herbs. The nem nuong is sweetened charbroiled pork that is grilled. Think of a sweet meat ball. The egg rolls are super crispy and filled with meat. The noodles go well with the fish sauce and there are a lot of veggies inside. The nem nuong coun is a spring roll that's wrapped in rice paper. It has the meat and lettuce wrapped inside and comes with a dipping sauce. I believe the sauce is made with ground shrimp. For $8 for 3 rolls it is a steal compared to other restaurants. If you are craving Brodards in OC this place can satisfy your craving. Their che ba mau which is a 3 bean dessert has a lot of beans inside topped with coconut milk and shaved ice. Not much mung bean either after stirring it literally for about 4 seconds the mung bean basically disintegrated into the liquid. Inside was pretty small but they offer inside and outside seating. Menu had a good variety of dishes and prices were reasonably priced. Got the Special Beef Combo Noodle ($14.50) and it consisted of eye round steak, well done flank, brisket, tendon, tripe, and beef ball. The broth tasted very light and not too greasy or salty so that was enjoyable. The quality of the meat was very dry and wasn't tender so that was very disappointing. The portion of meat and noodles given wasn't plentiful so that was a bummer. The basil, bean sprouts, and lemon were decent and so were the complimentary sauces. Overall, I wasn't too impressed with the pho and even though it was reasonably priced, it didn't seem to be worth the price since the pho tasted very underwhelming.

I came by on a Friday at 7pm for a dinner (weekend before Mother's Day) and was able to get seated in 15 minutes. They have a Yelp waitlist but you must go in person to join the waitlist. There's a spacious parking lot but there's rarely any spots available and will require you to wait for a free one. The interior is honestly very pretty. It's decorated with overhead chandeliers with bright lights and marble tables. When your table is ready, they also give you a tray full of chopsticks, napkins, and forks. Each table also has hoisin, sriracha, chili sauce, and another sauce I'm not too sure about. After we ordered, I got my pho da biet maybe 5 minutes after. The cha gios also came out a few minutes after too. Unfortunately, my boyfriend's com tam was forgotten about until after I devoured my pho. We even asked them about it in the middle and it was checked on but we weren't updated and thought they had went ahead and cancelled it but it still came out. No biggy, we packed it to-go since we basically split the pho da biet. Food: Pho da biet (9.5/10): The pho was soooo delicious. It was meaty with a little bit of sweetness to it. This is one of the few places where I don't feel the need to sauce down my pho to enjoy it. There's a good amount of meat in here. If you're a tendon enjoyer, there's about 3 big chunks in here. I love the way they separate everything. If you order this, it comes with the stone bowl at no additional costs. They separate the noodles and ribeye on the side and let you "decorate" it yourself. There was also a good amount of noodles in here. Com tam (7.9/10): I thought that this one was just okay. We got the grilled pork and grilled pork chop and I thought that the meats were cooked perfectly. There was a nice char to the meats and it was seasoned deliciously. It came with a lot of rice and a side of soup to enjoy! I did enjoy this fish sauce more than the one that came with the egg rolls. Overall, I wish this dish came out the same time as the pho so we could've enjoyed it together. Cha gio/Imperial Rolls (7/10): I love egg rolls but this one didn't really stand out to me. It comes with a good amount of vegetables that you can use to wrap your egg rolls in. I wish the fish sauce that came with this was more salty. Maybe it was that day, but I couldn't really tell what was inside the filling. It was all mushed in together instead of different layers. The skin was very thin and crispy which I really liked!
