8/10 - Great! Stopped by Pho SuperBowl in Alhambra on the way home from Coachella and it ended up being the perfect pit stop. The location was super convenient, and after a long trip, this place really hit the spot. The portions were solid--good-sized bowls that definitely satisfied. Honestly, it was so good I completely forgot I even wanted to write a review... and didn't take a single picture, which says a lot. Service was outstanding. Our server was handling around six tables at once but still made sure everyone was taken care of. That kind of attentiveness doesn't go unnoticed, especially when it's busy. On top of that, they even gave us complimentary dessert, which was a really nice touch. The atmosphere felt nostalgic--reminded me of the Vietnamese restaurants I used to go to as a kid. It has that old-school charm. That said, it could probably use a bit of updating if they continue to grow and bring in more business. Overall, great experience, great food, and great service. Amazing service and delicious food in Alhambra!! The pho was very flavorful, filling, and made to order. We tried the brisket pho and the chicken pho and they were truly worth it. We tried the iced coffee and genuinely super strong and tasty I had to get another one. Ample seating, a small space but they make it work super well! The waiter was very helpful,friendly, and provided prompt service. The egg rolls were super crispy and the spring rolls were fresh and filling. I love coming to this pho stop 10/10 best pho I've ever had. However I don't think I feel clean eating here like before. Floors are always sticky and black from how dirty it is like they never mop, chairs left dirty with crumbs, saw them using old tea left from another customers table and refill it without it being washed and hand it to me like it's a fresh pot. There were these gentleman that were there before. They had this place going. Always nice and always welcoming customers asking if we are doing good and had the place packed all the time and now it's dead quiet with no background music. Pho Super Bowl offers very delicious and fresh pho! For the Pho Dac Biet, the restaurant allowes the customer to substitute one of the meat types to something else they'd want more of. I got more tripe in exchange for some well done beef flank. (I kinda regretted that decision because for beef balls, they only gave one. So might have been more worth to sub the meatball instead.) Besides that, the large or Superbowl version ($16.50; reg $15 for pho dac biet) is well worth the upgrade/value. You also cannot go wrong with the Crispy Eggroll $14 that comes with veggies (lettuce, mints, pickle veggies), some rice noodles (like the ones in bun) and fish sauce. Absolutely delightful. The veggies are such nice compliment that I ended finishing the greens before the eggroll. Lastly, the restaurant provides some complimentary mung bean(?) sago dessert to wrap up the meal. read more

For a party of 2, we came by on a Thursday evening and there was a decent crowd of people. Service was friendly and they also had a green bean dessert. Their selection was decent along with portions and prices. We had the large Dac biet pho (a little under $16) and Cornish hen with rice. Other pho bowls range from $13-14. They served us water without asking. Service might be slow for some people because the tables were not cleaned up right away while other parties waited. Some utensils were missing so we had to grab it from another table. Overall, will return again if in the area and craving pho. read more

I have been coming to Pho Super Bowl from time to time, and I can't believe I haven't written a review until now. This is one of my favorite pho spot in SGV. Today I went there and realized that they have expanded. They took over next door and removed the wall. The place has been remodeled and painted the walls light green. The whole interior now looks bigger and brighter. I always order #15 pho which is a combination of steaks with tendons and tripes. There's a lot of meat and the broth and the broth was tasty. They increased the price of hot jamine tea from $0.5 to $1 but since it's refillable, it's still very good deal. The dessert at the end is always a nice little sweet ending to the meal. I don't know of any other pho place that actually give you free dessert. That's one of the reasons why this is one of my favorite place for pho. Parking is never a problem as they have a big lot and you can even park on the street. The staff there are friendly and quick to turn over tables. I always feel satisfied after eating here. read more

This place used to be ideal - it had decent service, good prices, and decent food. It wasn't as good as Golden Deli nearby, but you didn't have to deal with the wait. It's since gone down. A salad with pork costs nearly $20. And the service has continually declined to the point where we only go there out of absolute last resort now (vs. we used to order from/eat there multiple times a month). Today reminded me again why I stay away. They have a $15 minimum for credit card charges. I don't love that, but it's common enough at restaurants. My takeout order came out to $14.92, but they refused when I asked if they could just round up to $15 so I could use my card. Instead, I get the cop-out excuse of "my boss" says we have to add a $0.50 surcharge no matter what. If the total was in the low $14s or less, the surcharge arguably makes sense. But refusing to round up when the customer is 8 cents short of the minimum is pretty shortsighted on the business's part. read more

Easy and seamless experience! I really enjoy their pho and the amount they give is fair. Their spring rolls are very noodle heavy, which I don't mind, but just noting! The pho is very customizable and they also offer chicken (with beef broth or veggie), seafood pho, and vegetarian pho. They also offer vermicelli bowls or rice dishes as well. There's plenty of space and I appreciate the many condiments offered at every table. It's nice of them to serve a dessert at the end. Been wanting to try Pho Super Bowl for a while & now I wish I'd tried it sooner! Their menu is quite simple - some Vietnamese appetizers, Pho, Rice dishes & Vermicelli. I actually really like their Pho broth. Less msg than most other places I've tried, and their large/Super Bowl size is good to share. I would probably skip the spring rolls next time, even though they serve it with the peanut sauce I love, most of the filling was just vermicelli noodles. I did enjoy their salad (adding Charbroiled pork) & when we came for dinner they also gave us a yummy warm mung bean+sago dessert. Service is fairly quick. It gets crowded during dinner rush. If you're not willing to wait for Golden Deli, go to this place. In fact, I actually prefer this place over Golden Deli. You can't go wrong with any of the pho options here, but my favorites are pho ga or pho tai sach. Their Cornish hen is also very tasty. Food always comes out quick, and servers are attentive and efficient. We loved coming here for the cozy atmosphere and calm vibes. Unfortunately, this will likely be our last time at Pho Super Bowl - the quality and service has gone downhill since the expansion of their restaurant. I am all for growth and supporting local businesses; I also understand that there will be growing pains but we have left disappointed each time we've gone back. While the food is still tasty, the meat portions are inconsistent and have generally, greatly reduced to what it was before. I can tell that the staff is doing their best to accommodate all the extra patrons but they are so clearly understaffed. It takes much longer to receive your food and it looks like they prioritize take-out orders. I found a piece of plastic wrap in my noodles. Tables are left dirty and patrons are waiting outside, confused why they cannot be seated. It never used to be like this. What hurts the most is that I genuinely love this place and I sincerely want them to succeed but I can no longer visit this establishment until they have their logistics figured out. I really hope to visit sometime in the future once management decides to hire more staff and figures out their quality control. read more

The food came out promptly and the flavors were excellent, loved that they gave shaved onion slices that accompany the pho perfectly. Parking: very small ground floor parking lot. Some ppl find street parking around the corner. But there's technically a basement parking structure as well. Service: smaller place so if you have a large party, you might be waiting a bit. It does get busy on weekends. Food: egg rolls were great but pretty pricey. We did say no lettuce but somehow still got the order with the lettuce and still got charged for it. Their pho was good - broth was a tad water down. If you like pho, I am happy to report that this restaurant serves a decent one. The noodles are soft, onions are shaved paper thin (the way I like it!), and broth isn't overbearingly spiced. We got number 31 (Com cha thit nuong) with beef as well as the regular house special combination pho. Both are super tasty and the broth for the pho is very clean yet very flavorful - even the regular portion is fairly big! The meat is very tender and I love the combination of meat. Com cha thit nuong is also super tasty! The beef was marinated and cooked to perfection while the egg quince and the shrimp patty are flavorful yet not salty and not dry at all! We love the free dessert that they provide at the end - super refreshing and it reminds me of the hot version of mango pomelo drink! Will definitely be back to try more items! Used to eat here WAY before COVID hit but it fell off my radar but I went back on MLK. Happy to see that they were pretty packed for lunch. Got the Pho Duc Biet which was good. Also ordered the fresh spring rolls for appetizer and must call out that they need to increase the amount of protein inside. I know that even homemade spring rolls will cut the shrimp in half so you see the outside of the shrimp inside the rolls but the shrimps and pork on this visit were pretty thin - see pics. Flavor was ok with the dipping sauce but the ratio of protein to rice noodles needs to improve. And, they still give you a desert for dining in so that was a nice treat. read more

Wrap the egg roll in the lettuce, add the shredded carrots, dry vermicelli, and basil leaves...dip it in the fish sauce...YUMMY! 2. Grilled pork vermicelli: This is a dry noodle(vermicelli) dish. We sat down and had our food and drinks within less than 10 minutes. We were so happy! We ordered the 1. Ice Coffee 2. Egg roll with veggies 3. #8 Pho Regular sized bowl and 4. Pork Chop rice. We ate about everything we ordeded and even had some rice to take home. It ended up being so much food since the portions were so large and everything was so fresh/delicious! I especially loved the egg rolls and the huge amount of veggies it came with to wrap. It makes the fried egg roll so much more enjoyable and less guilty since I'm putting in my veggies!
