I love baguette with fried eggs! This is one of the few places that fry the eggs when you order it. Awesome! Immediate 5 stars. But then, I asked for over-easy eggs because I don't like my eggs overcooked. The staff said, "we can only do it one way which is overcooked." WTF?! Seriously? Deduct one star. Okay. Fine. I asked if they can put soy sauce in my baguette. Again, the staff said they can only do it one way which is without soy sauce even though they have soy sauce. Deduct another star! This place is very disorganized and over priced with really bad customer service. The cashier Asian girl wearing glasses is extremely rude; her name is Phuong or Huong. She is also butt ugly with a bad attitude. She talks to customer in a condescending manner and assumed that customers know the menu list by heart. The coffee is sour like instant coffee with too much syrup and chocolate mixed into. Please don't call it Vietnamese coffee if you're going to use cheap syrup. By the way, they do make good baguette bread but it is not worth coming here. I personally think Mr. Baguette has the best banh mi in Little Saigon. They have quality meat that goes into their banh mi and their baguettes are so buttery and delicious. When biting into it you get the crunch of the baguette and the soft, moistness of the bread in your bite. My mouth is watering over it just thinking about their bread. Sometimes I just come in and get the baguette itself! I knew of Mr. Baguette before it came to Little Saigon because it started out in LA and my aunt always stopped by there before coming down here to visit us! Unfortunately though, it has a lot more competitors down here that offer much lower prices. Im willing to pay $1-$2 more for their sandwiches but I don't know if the locals that are loyal to the cheaper Lee's Sandwiches or Banh Mi Che Cali are too. The place is kinda small and I just went here for a quick bite to eat. Expected it to be like any other Vietnamese sandwich places but this one really surprised me by how delicious it was. I got the #25 BBQ pork banh mi and it was probably the best Vietnamese sandwich I've ever had out of the 3-4 other places I've been too. I would give this a 5 star but the only downside is that they do not accept cards for transactions below $10. This is hands down my favorite banh mi place! I've literally been going here everyday since I discovered it and have tried half the items on their menu-everything's just too good. The banh mi is so flavorful and they give alot of meat. The store is also really really clean in comparisons to other banh mi shops. So far, I've tried their banh mi Saigon Bacon and banh mi Xiu Mai (meatballs w/ marinara sauce). They are made to order so they taste very fresh, warm, and crunchy. Honestly, you truly get what you pay for at $4.70 for the Saigon Bacon and $4 for Xiu Mai. This joint is well worth the try!! Idk whats up with LA folk but this is some of the freshest and top quality banh mi i've ever had and i travel alot (AND I'm vietnamese!) and restaurateur has been in the family for generations. Love their vietnamese cured bacon and their traditional pork roll is good too. I like seeing it reinvented and made european style. Their pate is very good too! Everything fresh, everything mAde there, $3-$4 a sandwich seems pricey in comparison to your banh mi che cali ones but quality is out the ballpark. I'm coming here from now on. Just as good if not better than my mom's. Only gripe is that the cashier needs more customer service training. I felt rushed and he seemed a bit agitated. Mr. Bagguette is the only place I know who uses Vietnamese giò th instead of fatty meat as stuffing for "Special." Wish they would give more stuffing and pickles. The baguette level of crunchiness actually lasts for 2-3 hours, allowing me to still devour delicious fresh bánh mì by lunch time, so that's a plus. They always run out of pate chaud by 9 or 10 AM but they're worth waking up early for. Extremely buttery!! read more

New baguette place! Food is good, but service is extremely slow. I get this place is brand new but waiting for a sandwich for 20 minutes is kind of bizarre. The guy in the front can't even read the numbers out in Viet...this is garden grove after all. This evening I bought 2 Special sandwiches and 2 Saigon Bacon sandwiches with pickles in a separate bag. When I got home, I was so surprised to see the bag of pickles only came with cilantro and jalapeño slices and the baguette is hard to chew!
