Kids working here. They're on their phones and just talking stories. Not sure how long it takes to make one but I waited 35 mins and no one was in front of me. The corn dog batter was burnt. It was so hard to bite into.

This place is so unprofessional, the kids they have working here have no common sense. No one is in here and she continues her talking with her friend, talking about fights and drama. While we stand here. Super disappointed, only stayed in here because my son wanted something. Didn't order anything for myself, woulda just walked out. Probably will never come again! No customer service, hella pathetic.

(Not so) Hot Cheetos with (not-so) spicy sauce and two cheese filling

Been loving that Hawaii has a Korean corndog place and these guys popped up and expanded really quick. I was working at Ala Moana when the first one opened in a blink of an eye they had two locations on the central side of Oahu (Pearlridge and Waikele). I like the consistency that all locations have to offer, from the food, to service, even the decor is all the same! It's hard to get an order wrong and to mess up a Korean corn dog. Funny thing I didn't realize until recently. I LOVE spicy, I love burn-your-bootyhole spicy, sadly they don't offer that. They only offer hot cheetos spicy - I barely wanna call my ex with that. How can this place be a Korean brand but not have super spicy sauce(s)?! Anyways, I got the "spiciest" combo you could get....with a cheese filling. Silly me, I forgot that dairy negates the feeling of spice. *FACEPALM* I know hot cheetos aren't spicy, but I just realized I completed negated any spice it had left by adding cheese to it. If you want spice, don't forget to BYO!

Corndogs without the corn and replaced with mochi batter. Yum ! Plenty of different selections for flavor and you can pick whether you want cheese or hotdog inside. My favorite is the original with sugar on top and cheese inside. I tried the pizza dog and did not like it. The prices are affordable and the food comes out fast. Great for a little snack while shopping in the mall.

The hubby loves these hot dogs on a stick. Actually, he always subs it out with cheese. I guess for him it would be cheese on a stick. He always gets the original with mozzarella cheese. I have to agree that it's pretty good. I usually get the sweet potato one with half dog and half mozzarella. You get to pick one complimentary sauce. We always get the sweet chili sauce. This location is at Pearlridge. It's by the Cookie Corner and L1 Iniki Popcorn stand.

Kept seeing f all the hype about these Korean hot dogs and finally made the decision to try. Service was fast, tasted fresh, but it's too much for me. More of a one and done kinda thing. It tasted good with the toppings and it was piping hot.

Service is fast and always hot and fresh. I also love the sauce selections available. It's definitely a great place for a snack or a side but I would say portion sizes are small for a single corn dog to be a meal. Overall, the portion size is accurate for the price. The establishment itself is small and only has enough room for the line but the mall food court has seating upstairs and on the ground floor.

I ordered a regular dog with cheese on the inside per request of the cashier (i asked what they recommend and what they eat on their lunch). The outside texture is nice and crunchy, not too flakey so it does not make a huge mess which is nice. The corn dog portion tastes exactly like a corndog you buy frozen from a grocery store. The cheese portion was honestly, not good. It was mozzarella, and it had an awful alcohol after taste. Almost synthetic in nature... I think without the cheese the corndog would be fine, but at that point i would rather buy frozen corndogs and bake them myself. Would not recommend unless you want the novelty.

Snack time at Pearlridge Mall in Aiea, O'ahu, Hawaii... I was early for my appointment next door at Pali Momi Medical Center. I walked around the Mall and found "Mr. Cow". My Yelp friend, Grey, pointed out that a male cow is a bull. Ah! He's right! I just thought that it was a cute name and had a kawaii logo... Let's try it! Mr. Cow is similar to Hotdog On A Stick. It's like a Korean corn dog, but crunchier and with a mochi-type, chewy batter. It was kind of fun to eat! I got the Classic with sausage filling and a Classic with half Cheddar and half Mozzarella. Each stick came with a dipping sauce. I got Honey mustard and Ranch, but I didn't need them. If I went back to Pearlridge and wanted a snack, I'd go back. I parked in the free covered parking (downstairs by Longs), went up the escalator, and found Mr. Cow by L1 Iniki Popcorn and the Hallmark Store. Note: the movie theater is upstairs

Looking for SOMETHING NEW...SOMETHING FUN and SOMETHING DELICIOUS to try? Check out HOLY COW located in Downtown at Pearlridge Shopping Center. What can I say about the food? HOLY COW! The Korean street corn dogs from HC is...HOT-DOGGITY De-LISH! You gotta' check this place out! My favorite is the Potato with half sausage and half mozzarella cheese dipped in ranch. Yum- O-licious! I love everything about it... 1. Chewy texture of the batter...sort of like a mochi texture. 2. The chunks of potatoes wrapped around the batter. 3. That cheese...PULL as you bite into it. This was so fun to eat! Lol. I could stretch the cheese about a foot long! So, if you are looking for a new food adventure? Go and check out HC. You'll thank me for that!

I popped in for lunch here yesterday and I was super excited. I've had this bookmarked ever since they opened. Surprisingly there were no lines, in fact the mall was practically a ghost town. But Anywhos, I told the girl this is my first time here and she was sweet and kind. I chose the flaming cheetah as it looked like hot Cheetos topping, she guided me to chose the 2nd step which was the type of cheese I wanted inside, I chose number 5, a combination of cheddar cheese and mozzarella. Then she asked if I wanted spicy Mayo or some other type of spicy. I chose spicy Mayo as I wasn't sure about their spicy levels. It came out fresh and super delicious. I was expecting the sausage inside but it was only cheese. I think if I choose a different option, it would have had the sausage too.. I'll probably come back with my boys as I'm sure they would enjoy a bite from this spot.

Wasn't the best, was not the worse either. We decided to get the Flamin' dog. It was not spicy at all which was great. A little over priced but it tasted good! I sure won't be back but it was a nice first time trying. If your into the whole corn dog situation id recommend trying it out but otherwise this was a good enough snack. The menu is a little confusing but definitely ask questions! The staff are very informative and kind. This place is located Pearlridge downtown near the escalators, food court, Vans, and Cookie corner.

We…read morearrived around 12:30 p.m. when there were only a few parties dining in, but the restaurant quickly filled up by the time our food arrived. Their parking lot is also pretty decent size, so we had no trouble finding a spot. The banchans were good! One of the sides was poke, which we've never seen at a Korean restaurant before. It was unexpected, but so fresh and delicious. We ordered the cold noodles, spicy pork bulgogi, and seafood pancake. Everything was really good, and we'd honestly rank those dishes above most of the Korean restaurants we've been to. The seafood pancake was packed with seafood flavor, and they definitely didn't skimp on the squid. The spicy pork bulgogi came with a bowl of rice and had the right amount of spicy. The cold noodles totally hit the spot and had just the right amount of toppings in every bite. I was left very satisfied and we even had leftovers of the pork and pancake to take home. Service was friendly, and everything arrived in a timely manner. We'll definitely be back soon to try the AYCE and the soups!

I came here for lunch. I noticed this place changed owners awhile ago. Under the new name,…read moreMoobongri, they offer Ala carte menu items as well as an AYCE menu. I like that they open at 10am and that they serve delicious banchan. I came in one weekday and was seated at one of the regular tables. I guess they assumed I wasn't going to get the AYCE, even though it's pretty affordable for weekday lunch (like $28). Id like to come back to try the ayce sometime. I decided on the cold noodle and kalbi combo for $24. The cold noodles by themselves are only $14, so I thought there would be at least a couple pieces of kalbi in the combo. Nope. Apparently one piece of kalbi is $10. It was served hot, but it was served on a hot plate with onions and the plate itself wasn't hot. Why serve it on a hot plate? Very confusing. The cold noodles were refreshing, but you can get pretty good cold noodles at any Korean restaurant I think. I was a little disappointed in the quantity of food for the combo. Or I wish they had an actual lunch special, maybe I should have just got the ayce at this point right? But I wanted the cold noodles.... Oh well. It doesn't seem like they changed the interior all that much. It was pretty nice inside to begin with and there is a big parking lot. The workers come by when you ring the table side bell. Lol, otherwise they kind of just drop off the food and leave you alone. I was surprised there were like 3 other couples eating from the Ala carte menu at 10:30. I would possibly come back to try their other soups, but I wouldn't get suckered into getting the combos.

Discovered Soon's from an IG post about a few of their favorite spots in Oahu. Decided to check it…read moreout for dinner during our last trip out. Was a quick 15 minute drive from the Hilton village. Arrived to find a no frills restaurant. First discovered meat jun while out in Lanai and loved it. Opted for both the meat jun mix and kalbi plate. Food was ready within 5 mins and decided to eat back at our hotel as we had a full kitchen and dining table. The food smelled amazing and somehow we made it back in less than 10 mins. The kalbi and bbq chicken were both awesome. Was really disappointed with the meat jun as it had a weird chewy texture. Upon closer inspection, not sure if it was even beef! Loved how they include both kimchi and cooked bean sprouts with each plate. We thought the portions were pretty generous and had more than enough for lunch the next day! Would definitely head back for both their kalbi and bbq chicken during our next visit out to HNL. Bring cash as that's the only payment accepted here!!

HISTORY: Soon's korean bbq smoky aromas drenching the neighborhood are a core childhood memory. I…read moregrew up in the 80s nearby, cruising Salt Lake Shopping Center from back when there was Pioneer Chicken and Kana's Ice Cream and Pay n' Save and Sizzler's. My parents would stop pick up Soon's on the way to UH games at the stadium, a Saturday splurge (they were never cheap) when my mom didn't have time to make musubi and hotdogs. Maybe i'm suffering from "da good ole days" syndrome, but my first trip back to Soon's in about ten years left me Broken Hearted... VALUE: the portions were OK, Soon's always gave a satisfying portions but never "masu's massive" satisfying. I thought they used to drop a rubbery fried mandoo as a bonus side with your plate but i could be wrong and i got none today. AMBIANCE: it seemed cleaned up, definitely. but like when you see an old plantation house with a thick coat of bright glossy latex it just felt a little off in a less charming, trying-too-hard kind of way. For reference, I absolutely love the "Honesty" of Bob's BBQ on Waikamilo, and BBQ Kai in Waianae. FOOD: I ordered a couple BBQ Chicken and Meat Jun plates for some contractors working on my parents' house nearby, thought that was a safe bet but NOPE. I felt bad i gave the contractors the terrible meat jun i wanted to apologize was so embarrassing. MEAT JUN - (2/10, +one point cuz it didnt give me food poisoning). Soon's version always was thin, but today was Next Level chintzy. I dunno if the meat was over-pounded flat to stretch it out but even WITH the coating it was the SIZE AND TEXTURE OF BITING INTO A STICK OF STALE WRIGLEY'S JUICY FRUIT THAT WAS FORGOTTEN IN THE BOTTOM OF YOUR BACKPACK FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS DURING A HUMID SUMMER VACATION, but without the burst of fruity goodness. So maybe a more apt analogy would be texture and flavor LIKE BITING INTO A STICK OF CLAY. MEAT JUN SAUCE - (nostalgic 8/10). sweet and tasty, but Why do they give only that MINI thimble portion cup of sauce?!? THE CLAY-LIKE MEAT JUN DOESN'T EVEN FIT THE OPENING OF THE TINY %#@$ CUP!! BBQ CHICKEN - (solid 6/10). Always over-marinated, the classic soon's tasty but heavy handed preparation. Clearly benefits from nostalgia. OTHERS - the BBQ meat / bulgogi is also over marinated, with small/medium shreds of slightly dry and too-hard meat. meh. - the "banchan" tsukemono kimchee foil pocket of veggies was always a treat, but so small. plus the kimchee is super weak more orange and sour than truly tasty. The TREAT - SECRET IS TO POUR A PRECIOUS FEW DROPS OF YOUR TINY CUP OF MEAT JUN SAUCE OVER THE VEGGIES TO GIVE IT A TASTY KICK. VERDICT: I grew up with Soon's, but I want to remember them fondly so I'm Never going back. My parents still live in Salt Lake so I'm sad. Guess I'm just going to file Soon's away with the fuzzy old memories of Aloha Stadium, the Islanders, and the 'Bows v. BYU. Next time i need Korean bento I'm going to Gina's.
