I already have a block wall on one side, a wood fence on the other so we took the cheaper option of having wood on the 3rd side. Vinyl is the latest and greatest (and the same price as wood) but we prefer the look of natural wood and we wanted to match at least one of the other walls. Chris was on time, informative and the most competitive. We arranged the date and, again, he showed up on time. He left the major work to his team of Mike and Jordan and they were done with all 50 ft. in a single day. Good dudes, too. Chris at Mr. Fence provided a very competitive bid for our project. It included a fence line we share with our neighbor. Our neighbor and I both agreed to move forward and replace about 80 feet of fence. The existing iron fence, likely 50 years old, had rusted away. Mr. Fence removed the old fence and replaced it with similar fencing. The only hitch was a bit of a delay - a supply chain problem with Mr. Fence waiting for the new sections. We got quotes from others and Chris from Mr. Fence was not only extremely reasonable but he came out to see our project in person and got us a quote fast. He had jordan (his fence builder) install less than a week later. Our fence took 3 days to complete because of its detail. Throughout the 3 days, Chris would check in daily to see how things were going which I really liked. Even after we had a plan set in place, both Jordan and Chris checked in with me on everything before beginning to be sure that spacing, placement, height, etc. was exactly how I wanted it. Chris sat with me and tested out different spacing options - even though they were minor tweaks, he was patient in letting me decide. Jordan paid SO MUCH attention to detail and was such a hard worker. He really is a master at his craft and took a lot of pride in his work. Both Chris and Jordan were so friendly I totally felt comfortable asking questions. My husband moved our irrigation line in about 8 inches for the sprinkles prior to them beginning because that's just what has to be done when you install a fence. During the process Jordan accidentally broke a line which happens all the time and he literally fixed it without even making a deal of it. He made sure everything was tip top shape for us. Our fence came out so beautiful!!!! It is a show stopper on our street for sure. Multiple neighbors stopped by why Jordan was working to say so. I could not be happier. We hired Mr Fence after finding them on Yelp. My husband got quotes from a few local businesses and decided to choose this one based on complexity of the job and the price estimate quoted. We received quotes from other businesses that were way higher and the price did not seem reasonable before making our decision. We wanted to install a vinyl fence extension/topper for our backyard wall that would add height to it to maintain our yard's privacy. After getting the estimate, they arrived on time and were very professional in all their communications. We had an issue come up last minute where we were not sure if our HOA would allow this without prior approval. To make sure this was not an issue, they quickly came up with a solution to add the fencing right behind the wall extending it up versus adding to the top of it. The fast pivot to make sure we could still get the job done and were satisfied with the work was very appreciated. The value and quality of the work was great. I absolutely and heartily recommend Chris and Mr. Fence. A few years ago we needed our side fence rebuilt, got three quotes, went with Mr. Fence. The worker that did the work was amazing in his precision and quality of work. Now years later we still marvel at the beauty of it. And now we needed the back fence replace. Do not recommend. Will never work with Chris aka Mr. Fence again. Neighbor and I decided to replace our shared fence. Chris was not the friendliest but he had the best quote and would do the work immediately. They mentioned a concern that the sprinkler lines might be too close to the fence and some could be damaged. They made it sound like it wasn't a big deal. The first day they broke the main sprinkler line and repaired it. Second day they broke a bunch of sprinkler lines (possibly multiple lines and roughly 10-15 feet to troubleshoot) which the installer said he didn't have time to repair and I could speak with Chris when the work was done about a discount. I called in someone to repair and they told me it's going to be a lot of work and spent half a day trying to troubleshoot and repair. Chris told me unapologetically and without any empathy that he would not cover any costs. read more
