We stopped in for the buffet today. Overall I would give the food and atmosphere a 1 because it was very dated and dirty and the bathrooms were pretty disgusting to say the least. When we first walked in we weren't really greeted by the guy behind the counter and I thought to myself maybe he's having a rough morning. After we paid we walked over to the buffet area and grabbed some food. While getting our drinks we were CHEERFULLY greeted by a gentleman with a gigantic smile on his face. After we were seated he came over and introduced himself and let us know his name was Richard, and that he will be taking care of our dishes and to let him know if we need anything. Richard was not only very attentive by keeping our table clean but he was very personable. We're not fans of buffets, because we typically over eat. Fortunately, at Gatti's, that's not a problem. Unless you really enjoy dried out cheese on cardboard. We were greeted as we entered by a friendly enough clerk. We asked if there were any gluten free pies and he offered to make one on a cauliflower crust. Minutes later we were told there was no cauliflower crust. But, he did offer to make a "crust less" pizza. Essentially, pizza ingredients on parchment paper. It was a nice effort. The salad bar was laughable. Lettuce (very wet). Some red onion, broccoli, cucumbers & jalapeños. The rest of the bar had fruit (from a can), puddings and dressings. As for the pizza buffet, there's spaghetti and meat sauce or marina and a "spicy noodle" dripping in grease. Pizza selection was everything you could possibly want, as long as it's sausage or pepperoni. There was a token Veggie pizza and I did see a guest request a bacon pizza. But the real issue, aside from the cardboard crust, was flies buzzing around the buffet. Flies! Sorry Gatti's. This is a one and done. read more

On this visit, I used a coupon for 2 buffets for $20. My friend and I started with a salad from salad bar which was well stocked. We were asked if we wanted any particular pizza made and we both agreed they would probably have plenty of different pizzas to try. All the pizzas were good. I ordered some fresh cinnamon sticks for dessert which also came with a glaze which put them over the top. The staff were very cordial. Tyson greeted us and got the coupon processed with no problemo. Curtis was the pizza maker and talked about adding some very nice sounding pizzas soon, including a Philly Cheese Steak pizza. I would order one of those, for sure. During our visit, I saw staff cleaning the dining area which is always a good sign. Mr. G's has been a good place to bring family or sports teams for a good deal for MANY years. The food was awful and I got food poisoning from it, it's like they hire incompetent workers who don't know how to work an oven and cook a pizza properly. My family had requested a pan bbq chicken pizza and it was literally raw and it was not the first time it had happened. We tried to give them the benefit of the doubt because we loved it for a while and my mother had even worked there. Then the other pizzas were literally rock hard. Great pizza. Great price. Great service. I can not complain about anything here pizza wise. The pasta and macaroni isn't the best but it's a pizza joint and they killed it on that part. You can have your own pizza made however you like included in your buffet and they have other options out as well! Also a plus, they have a projector and was playing spongebob when I was here. Me and my two buddies stopped in the Clarksville mr. Gatti's on our way back home from Indianapolis. We really enjoyed it at a nice atmosphere to it you can do it use a little remodeling little TLC but overall it was pretty darn good it standard for mr. Gatti's with the one big TV and little game room for the kids they had some old school video games you can play like Deer Hunter Terminator passing the Furious and little things like that. The pizza itself was excellent no complaints there the staff was very friendly no complaints there everything was excellent I can't complain Michigan's is always a good cheap pizza buffet that my opinion makes pretty darn good pizza I'm not going to lie. Was greeted by nobody. Walked up to the counter where a male employee was leaned over on his phone complaining to the other employees making pizzas about the schedule. I had to say something first. Then he stood up like I was bothering him and rang me up then handed me my receipt and went back to complaining. There was two pizzas on the buffet. It took sometime to get more pizzas on the buffet. It took my family and multiple others to stand and stare at them before they would put more out. Anytime anyone needed something you could see the employees were irritated that we even talked to them. Trying to get them to change out one of the drinks was an experience in itself. Non of them wanted to do it and one employee said we are probably out. Finally after I offered to change it myself. The employees were turning people away saying they close at 7. It was only 6:20. Come to find out they were more worried about making door dash, grub hub and Togo orders than they were about the customers in the restaurant. The only time we would see an employee in the dinning area was the small old man bringing lates and cups out and when it was close to 7 they went around and asked everyone if they wanted to get something because they were shutting it down at 7. I will not visit this Mr Gattis again. Unless it goes through a major change. Most of the tables were dirty not with dishes but with food and dried sauce. I am very disappointed that Mr Gattis would let a restaurant this bad have their name on it. Today I went to Mr. Gatti's for the first time in 20+ years for their lunch buffet and was pleasantly surprised by how my very good memories of their food were still true today. The spaghetti with their signature red mushroom sauce was perfect. The pizza was perfect. The toppings looked and tasted tasted exactly as I remembered. I highly recommend the hamburger pizza. And the dutch apple dessert. The salad bar was very clean, well chilled, and had all of the right elements (including the chocolate pudding dessert). The service was beyond compare for any lunch buffet there is. The staff proactively asks every customer if there is any pizza not currently on the buffet that they want. I declined this offer as I felt their current options were more than sufficient. While I was at the buffet for my third helping a guy asked for BBQ pizza. The Gatti's staff immediately began to make it and told him that they would let him know when it was ready. The dining room was very clean and looked very nice. I will be back for sure. Stopped in here on Sat night. From the outside my wife asked "this is the place?" It doesn't look like much. Inside its a nice little place. It was clean and the buffet and salad bar were well stocked. The pizza was good and they kept enough variety on the buffet. I would suggest they use labels or tags to identify the pizzas. My wife accidentally got a buffalo chicken pizza thinking it was the bbq chicken pizza she had and really liked. Overall nice experience. read more

My grandson talked me into going here although it had been years since I had been there. The empty parking lot should have been my first clue, however we were hungry, how bad can it be? HORRIBLE. These guys have been there for a while. It isn't a huge gattiland like most of the other Mr Gatti's in Louisville, but they do have several old school games and most are 1 quarter. The staff will honor any pizza request up to 3 toppings for the buffet, and sometimes they bring a few slices to you with out having to get up. This was a nice touch for a pizza buffet. As expected, they have a big screen projection tv and for such an old school place they always meet the mark. A great pizza place for families or budget conscious individuals. There is lasagna on the dinner buffet and also a chicken penne pasta that I love (and it isn't at any other Gatti's). read more

I've been eating at this establishment since I was a child. I recognize that things are fondly remembered more so than they usually are, but this case is definitive. It's truly gone down hill. The biggest probelm this place suffers from is the cleanliness. While the food may be decent for what you would expect from a pizza buffet, you'll be lucky to stomach it when you look about at the filth of the kitchen, staff and dining room. The staff lacks couth in every sense of the word. If you question this even one bit, just walk in and look at the fingernails of the people that are preparing the food, that should answer all of your questions. I hope to see a turn around in this place as I've stopped bringing my family there. It's a shame as I remember what it used to be. Don't think ill of all Gatti's pizzas. The Mr. Gatti's in Elizabethtown, KY is fantastic. Not only is the restaurant exceedingly clean, the staff is great and the food is above expectations. This Mr Gatti's is still the best one around. The owners take pride in providing excellent quality and great service. Anytime there are issues the owners make sure to fix it. We called in for 5 pizzas for my grand-daughters birthday party. we were told to pick them up in 40 minutes. An hour and 25 minutes later we get our pizzas. all they could say was that they got busy. I should have gone to Little Caesar's in the first place. I will next time. read more
