We are new here, coming from 60 yrs in California, so you could imagine me being a little skeptical on finding comparable Mexican food here in the South. keeping in mind that there are many different regions of Mexico and Central America and the food is prepared a little different in these areas, add to that the "American influence" you will find in the large chain restaurants, people's favorites can be quite subjective. We have only eaten here a couple times so far and I'll say they do a good job. I ordered the "Enchiladas Verdes" (chicken enchiladas with Verde salsa) Was it my favorite Verde salsa? No....Was it good? Yes. Overall the food was good and a large selection of menu items. Staff were very nice and accommodating, the service was very good. They do get busy at times and that can be challenging .....We look forward to going back and exploring more items on the menu.

We were at Publix next door and decided to come here. We got sat right away for lunch. Service was good! Food was good and very filling and generous. They also had a fresh salsa bar which was a nice touch. Everyone was friendly and we were pleased with our meals!

This place was surprisingly good! Yelped it and decided to check them out. Not many English speakers there working buy we were able yo figure things out. Both my son and I thought the food was excellent. The most important thing, we would go back there!

Chile Poblanos....this offers just the right amount of spice to excite your palate for the shredded chicken inside.

TL:DR - Good food, great portions at a very reasonable price…read more The restaurant is very small which means once you get a seat, you get great service. The chips were fresh and hot, and the salsa bar had many choices, but they weren't labeled so must ask or, try them all. I had the fajita burrito combo and it was almost as big as my head. Shredded iceberg lettuce, sour cream and rice on the side. It was a bit heavy on the beans, but it was well-balanced and quite tasty. My friend got the fajitas, and he said they were really juicy and held their temperature throughout the meal. Highly recommended and rest assured that you'll have another meal the next day.

Then this is the place for you. The waitress did not know some of the liquors at her bar. We ordered table side guac and it was not made at the table but rather back in the kitchen and brought out to us. I ordered a mushroom quesadilla and it came with mushrooms onions and tomatoes My dining companion ordered huervos rancheros And it tasted like there was way too much excess salt. Our waitress never waited a moment to see if we had any further questions as we had to flag her down for the check and to order. Then she left the check and ran away even though we left our credit card out to pay. We had to go find her and walk up to the bar and pay for our meal. I do not leave many one star reviews but I will not return to this restaurant... I will make a special trip to the one on Haywood road.

What a surprise! We were expecting a bit of Latin in the strip mall off Woodruff and got A LOT of…read moreit. I had glanced at the menu on the way there but didn't realize how extensive it was. Our waiter was a superstar- in talking with him he shared he was from Ecuador and made suggestions for our lunch choice. We started with the beef and chicken empanadas- very good- and an order of maduros- ripe plantains. We should have stopped there because I was almost full at that point. For our entrees we chose shrimp mofongo- which we really see in small cities being that it is the national dish of Puerto Rico- and the paella for one. Both were wonderful. I would argue that the size of the paella should be be renamed as a lid of a trashcan serving. It was giant and we barely put a dent in it before asking for a to go box. I highly recommend this spot!

The only thing I'd change is using fresh-caught shrimp to give it more of that seaside flavor. The whole red snapper with coconut sauce was also full of flavor. We really enjoyed the mango and guava juices, and the tres leches dessert was amazing! Definitely a highlight of the meal. Other things we liked: the decor was nice, our waitress was a friendly young lady who made the experience pleasant, and the restroom was very clean. Overall, a solid spot for tasty Latin dishes and a comfortable atmosphere.
