This place was a pleasant surprise! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The side dishes were delicious, and the portions were generous. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly, and the service was quick. Definitely one of the better Korean restaurants in the area--I'll be coming back to try more of the menu.

Beautifully refreshing salad and very authentic kimchi as banchan. Great portions for the soft tofu stew and bibimbap!

First time here. Service was great and simple. My wife got the spicy pork hot stone bibimbap and she loved it. One of my sons got soy chicken combo A with beef soft tofu stew and loved it. 2 of my sons got beef bulgogi kimbap's. They ate it all and enjoyed it. I got medium spicy pork combo A with chicken soft tofu stew. It was amazing. Next time I try spicy instead of medium. I love the setup and decorations inside. Love the aroma of all the Korean food getting cooked in the back. All of our bellies were happy! Thank you Gung Chae!

5/5 stars recommend this place. Amazing service and great food. We traveled from SoCal for this food spot. The ambiance is moderate size for seating and is well kept. Veggie Kimbap and Tuna Mayo Kimbap were delicious. Veggie Kimbap: 4.5/5 Tuna Mayo: 4.5/5

This place is so good. Very authentic and close to home. Same shopping center as chipotle and buffalo wild wings.

Went on a road trip to Las Vegas and decided to stop here for dinner, since I wanted Korean food. I wasn't really expecting much since being from OC we have amazing Korean food all the time. However, I have to say I was really impressed with this place! I ordered the beef kalguksu, which was flavorful and comforting! The portion was generous and came with their homemade kimchi and a side salad. The noodles were delicious and so was the kalguksu broth! It was quite empty inside, I assume since it was a Tuesday evening. However I really enjoyed the food and would recommend to anyone in the area!

Clams Kalguksu was surprisingly big. It came with lots of noodles that soaked up all the flavor of the broth and it has maybe 10 small clams. It looked really simple but it had great flavor and was very comforting. It came with kimchi and salad and I enjoyed both. I'd come back if I I as in the area.

    cold noodles, banchan, and galbi

We were craving naengmyeon (korean cold noodles) so we looked up the closest spot and Gung Chae did not disappoint! We ordered the galbi and cold noodles combo special for $30. The interior is kind of small with 8 tables, but very clean and nicely decorated. They also sell some Korean beverages and mochi & ice cream for dessert. They play kpop on the speakers, but it's not too loud so you can still have a nice conversation with whomever you're dining with! There was only one chef and one server/host when we went, but service was still moderately fast and friendly.

I ordered from here on Uber Eats and was sincerely impressed with their to go packaging. It is a lot of plastic so not the most eco-friendly, but definitely kept everything clean and from spilling during commute (there's even a soup). Their Uber Eats deal was really good, maybe around $30-$40 for everything shown including delivery fees and what not. They don't skimp on their kim bap and I appreciate that everything is relatively healthy (to their name) and not oily. I'd definitely reorder this again!

I love their bibimbap and their sides! The serving size is large and great for the price. It comes with a side of salad and kimchi. I asked the staff for a side of fish cakes and they gave it to me at no extra cost. The service was quick and the staff was very kind. The place was clean and had lots of seating. I will say, I wish the bibimbap had the traditional spinach, rather that lettuce. But it's still delicious. I'll be back!

Lots going on here. Excellent service, crazy clean, delicious food, but a touch pricey. I was lot sure what several things in my bowl were. Kimchi is definitely an acquired taste, the Korean equivalent of Vegemite. I am not a fan of the translucent undercooked egg. I felt like Rocky Balboa. There was some kind of slaw as well with a mysterious milky dressing.

Balance is key to happiness!! Are you looking for something amazing! Let's try something new. With a new zest for life grab that one that makes your heart sing and lets go explore. We are experimenting and expanding our taste buds. The staff here is very knowledgeable about their food. As you order the menu has pictures and plenty of them for those that don't understand what's on the menu board. Most of the food and the ingredients we cannot pronounce. Shall we give it a whirl. On this new day, to stay healthy and out of the hospital, meat is now on the menu. Mmmm, shall we discover what meat and all the choices you have. My very special someone, is my guide to healthy and tasty meat choices . On a blind whim we order the pork and chicken with tofu soup and it still tasted good. Tangled deep down and delicious in my senses. The new eats is too great. I'm feeling alive again . Thank you to the staff here for all their support and encouragement. The food is amazing and so is the staff. The menu is amazing and comes with full pictures to help those that need colored food to survive because of a culture barrier. We highly recommend this restaurant. It's amazing and epic . Come get your new meat journey on today .

This place was so delicious and offered so much food for the combo. I was surprised to see my stone bibimbap bowl come with kimchi on the side, a little salad, and a little noodle dish. My husband ordered the chicken combo and it came with a tiny veggie soup and the same side dishes. I also ordered the kimchi soup and it was delicious. We had to take half the food to go because it was such a good portion. The veggies are generous and everything felt fresh. I'll be coming back here frequently. The place is cozy but has spacious tables to sit down and enjoy. The customer service is also above and beyond. Everyone was so kind, and they patiently help you order if you're unsure of what you want to order. This is a hidden gem. I loved seeing this place fill up for lunch. They were very busy but still got our orders out efficiently little by little.

She made things really easy for us - my mom is in a wheelchair, so bringing her to restaurants can be challenging, especially a KBBQ spot, which has big grills in the middle of the table. They had an open 8-person table, but she decided to give us the table so it would be easier for mom even though we were only 2 people and it was a Friday night during dinnertime. We really appreciated that. The food was good as usual! We kicked it off with Bulgogi, but TBH I usually just stick to Brisket, because it's easy to cook and comes out perfect. We love the salads here! Salads at a KBBQ?! Yup, the flavor is so legit. I like to mix the house salad + green onion salad, because it has sprouts in there too. The sweet vinegar flavor with Korean spice is such a good flavor. Instead of eating rice, I just eat brisket with salad. So good! Also, we love the Melona ice cream they give you for dessert! This is much better than the generic bs ice cream that other Korean BBQ spots give you! Also, you can't beat THE VALUE here. The Top KBBQ special starts at only $23.99

It was a good mix of food with plenty of flavor. The hot stone keeps the food very hot, which made it difficult to eat. So, next time, I would get the Classic Bowl or Plate instead. The complimentary, self-serve Miso Soup, Barley Tea, and Lemon Iced Water are very good. Overall, the meal is high in sodium, but I only eat this way occasionally. I do appreciate that the food contains no MSG (monosodium glutamate). Service was friendly, and there was a pleasant flow of happy patrons on a Saturday morning. The place is immaculate. We both ordered bibimbap in your old school dolsots. Unfortunately the rice was not crispy on the bottom like you'd get at a classic Korean restaurant. The toppings, while fun to customize, are usually standard when served traditionally. I didn't think the flavor was as good as the real deal served in more traditional restaurants. I got the beef and my husband got the pork. The beef was missing the right flavor. The pork tasted better but I'm not a pork person. Normally bibimbap has spinach but this wasn't listed as an option. Egg is also normally a regular topping, not an extra. When you mixed everything up, it just didn't have the right overall taste I'd get at authentic Korean restaurants. Overall though it wasn't bad. If I were to come back, I'd save my money and not bother with the dolsot option. It did not enhance this meal. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 3 is the fun ambiance. Each table has little games and magazines. While you wait you can play. There's also self serve miso soup and barley tea. Service is not bad. The restaurant is very clean. We were very entertained waiting for food. I wouldn't mind coming back.

Which makes perfect sense now. Unfortunately I was in bit of a rush so I got my order to go. I kept it basic with the Beef Brisket soup which came with a side of rice, kimchi and some dipping sauce. The owner did explain that I would need to season to taste, so once I adding the salt and chili paste as well as the dipping sauce in.... I devoured it.
