This review is a long time coming. Every trip to the Bruery has resulted in a pit stop at Mr. Ks. These guys have probably the best craft beer selection in OC and at the fairest prices. If you need help they're always ready to tell you what's new and selling fast. Huge difference from other spots that hide/hoard the new and rare stuff. How I found this place was actually through Redd's website because I was looking for the flavor Apple peach that I tried in NC (where I find that peach is actually a thing in the south). Since I couldn't find this specific flavor anywhere I decided to see if Redd's "find this flavor" on this website would find anywhere that sold them. Sure enough they recommended this place that sold the peach flavor so I placed a delivery order. Within just a few minutes, Mike (guessing person who owns the store) contacted me and said they were low stock and was accommodating to what I had ordered. So long story short, I've never been to a liquor store with such great customer service! I'm so glad I came across them because they seem to care about your taste in liquor and will go out of their way to meet your needs! They have Red Horse here! I can usually only find this at the filipino store/99 ranch market. Yeah its like 10 dollars for 6 bottles, but if you add how much it costs to get to 99 ranch market to the price they sell it for, its more like 12. Yes please. Long: Somewhat sketchy looking convenience store with a mega beer selection inside: cases of Lagunitas Sucks, lots of weird Belgian bottles, 3F Geuze, local beers in sixers and singles, cases of harder to find Mikkeller stuff, Amager Weasel Brunch, oddball New Zealand and Italian stuff. Based on what I heard about this place I had some pretty high expectations. I was still impressed when I went there. As others have mentioned, the place is small and most stuff doesn't have price tags, but their craft beer selection is top notch hands down the best I've ever seen. I love this place!! I was visiting yesterday from Seattle and looking to grab a few local craft brews. The guy working the front (I think he was the owner) was incredibly nice!! They have a such a good selection of more of the rarer craft beers - was able to grab some 3 Fonteinen Oude Kriek which I'm surprised to see on the shelf as well as some uninfected BCBS. I hesitate to write this review because if more people know about this place, there might be less beer for me... but I can't silence my love for this hidden gem. This is a typical-looking liquor store that is atypical in the kinds of craft brew they carry. Sure, they carry bottles from the popular Stone and the nearby The Bruery, but they also carry harder-to-find bottles from my personal favorites Lost Abbey and Cascade. I even found Cantillon here once. CANTILLON. They also carry more Mikkeller and Evil Twin than I've seen in larger shops, if you're into those microbreweries. And not only do they have a varied, interesting selection, but they have great customer service, too. This is an awesome store and I hope they keep up the quality. read more

There is no better place in Orange County to buy beer. None. Period. Management is friendly and honest and they wear a huge smile for everyone who comes through their doors. Perfect example: I spent $7 on an imperial stout that I hadn't had before. It turned out that the bottle was infected (as happens sometimes). I was talking to Mike about my experience with the beer, with no intention of seeking a refund and the man insisted. He gave me my seven dollars back on the spot, didn't even blink, and he even apologized for the brewery and their distribution. If you are a serious beer drinker in the area, this should always be your first stop. Their bottle list is as exclusive as it gets. I love this place. They got good prices and great staff working. The store is clean and neat. Selection is amazing. Most liquor stores I go to they only carry standard stuff, but this store is different. You always come out smiling cuz the owner always happy unlike other store where they follow you as if you were going to steal something. Small store but tons of bottles and cans available. The guy at register was super nice and helpful. Got some good local recommendations from him. It's right around the corner from the bruery tap room so a plus right there. They have your everyday bud and Corona type beers but they specialize in craft beers. Mike and the gang are some of the best dudes in the business. One of a handful in the county that consistently has an incredible selection, regularly receiving limited releases, and offering the fairest pricing I've seen. If you don't know what you want and are new into trying new beers, Mike and his staff will be more than happy to spend time with you, learn your pallet, and make suggestions. You'll receive much better advice here than any big box store that's a promise. You can't go wrong. If you're in the area stop by this gem. Great selection of craft beer. The owner Mike is very knowledgeable about beer and also let's you buy singles of bottles from six packs which I really appreciate. He has one of the best selections around for bottle shops and also get's stuff that other shops in the area don't. He get's breweries from the Midwest like Off Color and 18th Street. Pricing is good as well and he doesn't price gouge like some bottle shops. I highly recommend this bottle shop. read more

This spot is next to the world class brewery, The Bruery. I stopped once in a while, when I'm in the area.. I only drink Alpine IPAs - which they don't have! But if you looking for rare vintage beers there's a lot of them! This is the best Liquor store in entire city of Placentia. The workers are friendly. The store inventory is full of variety and fresh products. You will find all kinds of liquor at this store. he has a great selection of beer, is conveniently located, and is friendly too. not a huge store, so no bevmo type of selection but very often has good stuff I cannot get or find at bevmo. different distributors, different selection. he cannot possibly have everything every time, but he does get some incredible and legendary brews. you will definitely find craft beers here that you won't find anywhere else. the owners are nice and love talking about craft beers. their prices are fairly competitive with places like bevmo, especially on the stone beers. the cons: (kind of a pro at the same time) so much stock that gets a little tight in the shop if a few people are browsing. also, many of the items have no pricing information. must see destination for any craft beer fan. very easy to pass it up based on looks, but don't make that mistake. liquid golden treasure is inside! read more
