My coworker suggested this place for lunch and I finally came by. On a Saturday afternoon in late May, my sister and I ordered their regular cheeseburger and garlic fries online for pick up. lunch. The Double Class Act combo comes with a delicious, well charred burger made from locally sourced prime beef with American cheese, beefsteak tomato, juicy pickles, fresh lettuce and onion on a brioche bun. The bread to beef ratio is perfection! They have half-shroom or fully vegan patty options as well. I don't usually care for a thicker cut fry.. but their long, coated fries are addictive. I've been back and forth between a vegetarian and pescetarian since the late 1900s, so when my boyfriend asked if I wanted to go try a mushroom burger, I had immediate visions of the sad half cooked, weirdly grill marked, whole portobello mushroom cap "burgers" that I spent a large portion of my tween years pretending to enjoy. Happily, the mushroom patties here have almost nothing in common with those mushroom monstrosities of the past, besides the shared fungi base. I really enjoyed the taste and texture of the mushroom patty. The texture is similar to an impossible or beyond burger patty, but without the heavy grease feeling that those can leave you with. I'll take a house recipe vegetarian patty 4 out of 5 times, so having a tasty nearby option for that when my boyfriend is craving a burger is exciting. I also have to call out the fries here. I'm a fry fiend. These are SO good. They're coated with a slight seasoning for that extra flavor and crunch, cut thick enough to alllllllmost be steak fries, and they're so very fluffy inside. I was shocked at how in to these fries I was, and my boyfriend agrees that they're delicious. He ordered a classic burger, which is smash burger style, and cleaned his plate, so their regular burger also gets a thumbs up. Lastly, the staff was very friendly, and easily explained when I had a question about a sauce. I'm happy, and I see some more mushroom burgers (and fries!!!) in my future. read more

Great spot walking distance from where I work. A couple colleagues and I tried it out today for lunch and it was pretty dang good. The fries were very crispy, maybe even double fried, which smacked. I attended a soft launch of burger farm an old Pasadena. It's a very nice new addition to all the restaurants in the area. I particularly like it because there really isn't a quick burger place close by. I ordered the mushroom burger, which was very tasty with fresh lettuce tomatoes and I opted for grilled onions. They also offer beef patties with all their burgers or you can get their original mushroom burger, patty. It is a nice location and has plenty of room to sit and eat. Our friends told us to come here for the best fries ever!! The fries are wonderful. Big fries cooked to crispness with a soft interior. They are coated in a marvelous mix of seasonings. Customer service was phenomenal; the guy was very friendly, very cool, and very funny. The place was super clean with wonderful music. The burger is a plant-based burger. Long before I became vegan, I loved vegetarian food, and have tried just about every kind of garden burger, from the first seedy patties to beyond meat and other alternatives. On a random search for vegan alternatives in Pasadena, I wandered into this place - which was not busy, but should be Dash and was immediately greeted by the staff, who asked me if I had been there before and if not wear it I heard about it. They walked me through my choices, and I settled for the Mr. mushroom burger in the side of fries. Throughout this whole experience, the staff was very invested in what I thought and if I had any feedback, so keep that in mind. When I got the burger, it was already beautiful to look at. It looked like an ad for the burger. The ingredients looked super fresh, everything was colorful. I have to tell you that the ratio of ingredients and the quality of a patty were amazing. It wasn't the biggest burger I've ever had, but it didn't need to be. It was exactly what I wanted, and the magic of the mushroom got me. I finished the burger without even touching the fries, I didn't want to put it down. The Robin to the Batman was absolutely the fries. They were incredible! I used to go to diners and ask them to burn the fries to a crisp because I always used to get them so soggy, and these were the perfect crispy consistency that I love in fries. The seasoning was great; I didn't need any condiments. I could not stop eating them. I could have ordered another basket of fries to take with me, but I decided to not go overboard, because there's a vegan bakery in the area and I wanted to walk there.
