8-31-2020 - John Cordova came and looked at the job and said he would get back to me. Two weeks went by and no follow up. I called multiple times and left messages and no one returned my calls or VM. Finally got a hole of John and he said his boss needed to look at the job. That was over a week ago. I just talk to him today and he said they will not be able to do the job. We recently completed paving our driveway , front porch and steps and backyard patio . Overall I give mr pavers high marks . Starting from their initial discussion phase all the way till final walk they they were professional , courteous , skilled and fast but not compromising quality. Got several bids to have our driveway and walkways removed and replaced with our design. Mr. Pavers was not the cheapest or the most expensive. They did come across as very professional and responsive. We signed the contract and got a start date a few weeks later. That day arrived and within hours all the concrete was removed and they were placing the drainage pipes and grading by days end. We had a few hiccups due to their provider sending the wrong style paver. But, we were kept in the loop. After completion we noticed that some of our water irrigation PVC lines were damaged from the construction. Within a week Glayson (the owner) arranged for those repairs to take place. read more

Extremely bad experience with Mr. Pavers. I would never recommend anyone to go with these guys. Their truck driver hit my brand new car parked on the street and completely trashed it and almost ran away. My car is still in the body shop after 2 months. Regards to their work, very poor job in giving the slope on my drive way. They had to re-do it five times to make it work. The guys are not at all skilled , they don't have any equipment to even measure and know how to do their job. I hope no one has to go thru what I had been with these guys. read more

First of all, I am not a frequent review writer. But, I thought it will be unfair to Michael and Mr Pavers not to write anything about the good service they gave me , well, so far..I did install pavers in my backyard with them almost a year back.. They did thorough professional job on that and as promised on time..But, recently I saw some cracks on the sand layer between the pavers and started looking ugly some places..This is pretty common I heard but I called Michael as they gave 25 years of warranty on installation..His response was also similar but promised to send some people to do sand filing..Those guys came today and did the job very efficiently..In my experience it is very difficult to get a maintenance service back after work is done..But, thanks to Michael he remembered me and kept his promise..Hope, they can continue to provide this kind of service in future.. read more

Mr. Pavers did a great job replacing my cracked concrete driveway and walkway with pavers. Kevin Reese was terrific. He explained the process clearly, recommended pavers that would look good with the house, helped me decide, and gave me a great price. He also remained very flexible as I was deciding whether to do only the driveway or the driveway and walkway. I ended up doing both because the price was so reasonable. And Kevin was also very accommodating and helpful in dealing with the guard rail along the walkway that had to be removed and reinstalled. (I had to have a metal contractor do that part, but Kevin and Mr. Pavers were flexible in working around the guardrail reinstallation.) Almost the whole project was done within 3 workdays, and the last bits were finished up quickly after that. I highly recommend them! read more

After talking to numerous paving companies, we decided to have Mr. Pavers do the work. Sandy, the sales rep, was responsive and helpful with any questions or concerns I had. And the pricing was reasonable - falling mid-range of the quotes I received. The demo crew arrived on the first day and proceeded to prepare the surface for the paver installation. The crew worked well together and each member of the team handled their responsibility in an organized and efficient manner. The next day, the paver installer team arrived. There were so many team members that the driveway was totally paved in no time. Everyone knew his job and did it well. Roger, the lead paver installer, was simply amazing. He was meticulous and took pride in his work. He spent a lot of time leveling the front steps to ensure the steps looked just right. I was unsure how I wanted to design the walkway, so he worked with me to achieve the perfect walkway. All the crew members should be commended for their professionalism, courtesy and hard work. After getting quotes from 3 different paving companies we chose Mr. Pavers. They weren't the lowest, but they were half the cost of the highest quote which came from System Pavers. The crew demo'd our driveway, walkway and steps and in three days, completed the job and beat the poor weather we have been having. They do not use contractors and their crew were skillful and you can tell they work well together. The job turned out beautifully. The owner, Glayston was personally involved. The only mishap was some broken sprinkler pipes that had to be repaired. I did have a hard time getting hold of Glayston and Grahame (salesperson) to get the sprinklers repaired. Yelp limited the word count which is preventing me from giving a full account but hope this helps. Day 1 MONDAY (Full Day): Grading crew showed up at the site at 8AM and began going to work. I received a call from Michael asking if he could tear out the gate to bring in a bigger bobcat. I explained to him some concern about security but ultimately gave him the permission as I had plans to replace it. Michael also asked about the first payment which I left for him in an envelope. The rest of the day the crew excavated the yard, installed drain pipe for downspouts and drain in middle of patio and laid out base rock. When I came home that evening I was thrilled to see the progress made but had a few concerns with the straightness of the drain pipes from the downspouts and the curved edge of the patio. Day 2 TUESDAY (Full Day): I called Michael before the crew had arrived to the site that day to express my concerns before any pavers began going down. Michael answered the phone and quickly told me that he needed to call me back. I never received a phone call back and set out to send Michael a text message with photos at 8:50AM. I did not hear back from Michael until 10:30AM when he texted me back asking for me to call him. Michael assured me he would handle the issues and I additionally asked if the pavers could be stopped short of the driveway until I could install a new gate. The rest of the day the crew set pavers. That evening when I got home I came across more concerns about paver cuts and gaps between paver but figured it would get worked out when setting the border in concrete. Day 3 WEDNESDAY (Half Day): The crew arrive later than the normal 8AM start time but went to working laying/cutting the border and setting in concrete. That evening I was surprised to find very unusual/unplanned cuts made on the border. The curved areas had many cuts close together instead of spreading them out. I began marking the areas with blue painters tape to alert the crew of these areas that I wanted corrected. Day 4 THURSDAY: NO SHOW/NO CALL Day 5 FRIDAY: NO SHOW/NO CALL. I call Michael and left him a message asking him to return my call as I wanted to know when his crew would return and to go over my concerns. I then went out and about with my day periodically checking my security cameras for any activity. Around 930AM I see the workers already in my back yard applying sand and tamping with a plate compactor. I quickly rush back home and asked for Michael the foreman of the job but no knows where he is. I show a worker the areas I had blue tape and they tell me they already fixed the problems. (How do they know what to fix if I did not tell them yet?). In short I have them repair a few areas including tearing up a portion that had high and low spots. I leave the site to let them finish laying and compacting the polymeric sand. I finally receive a call back from Michael who left a voicemail. He goes on saying that "They are done/ he believes that they are done with the project " and will return to finish the part by the driveway gate after its installed (He is the foreman how does he not know for sure if they are done). He also explains that he has lost the check for the first payment given at demolition and that I need to put a stop payment for that check and reissue a new one. When I returned home I found a man waiting in a truck that turned out to be Mr. Glayston Soares the owner of the company. He walked the job with me and I expressed all of my concerns and complaint from the workmanship to the customer service I received. He explained to me that he was out of town that week and that he normally meets with the client at the start of the project. (Not sure what that would do since most of the problems occurred during the work process). At this point I was very indifferent about the job but knew I had a 4 year warranty to fall back on if I found any more problems. I paid Mr Glayston for the project in full even though he was going to return to make a few corrections and finish the section by the gate. That was the last I saw of Mr. Glayston, Michael or any of his crew. I have made several attempts to contact the company to have the job completed but have only received a single call back from the owner telling me he has scheduled the job. Lies Lies Lies. There is nothing good nothing about Mr. Pavers. When you call the company the first message explains "...because quality matters and customer satisfaction is really important to us" yeah right it's just a bunch of empty promises. They offer a 4 year warranty on the workmanship however that means nothing because once they leave your house with a check paid in full you will never see the owner or a worker ever again. Additional complaints Cut pavers right next to edible garden covering plants with thick heavy dust leaving it for me to clean up. Left 3 full pallets of pavers in street along with a mess of rock, dirt and dust again for me to clean up. read more

What a difference in our driveway and front steps since they were replaced by Mr. Pavers! Graham, Glayston, and all of the crew did a terrific job, and we couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. The only glitch was that after the fact we discovered a broken (above ground) sprinkler pipe, and I'm sure this was unavoidable--but it would have been nice if it had been accounted for up front, or if we had been offered a bit of compensation. Mr. Pavers did a very large project for us and we are very happy with the quality, attention to detail and workmanship. During the bidding process, Glayston came up with solutions to minor design needs such as retaining and draining. We made many changes and he was very accommodating. The bid was easy to understand. I did get other bids. One was astronomical and I preferred Mr. Pavers to the third company because of their expertise. We coordinated the new driveway with landscaping and every landscaper agreed that contracting out the driveway was best. All professionals recommended the Belgard products so that is what we went with. The project started on time and was completed, completely on time. The crew was prompt, cordial and professional. We had no issues with cleanup. Perhaps these other Yelp reviews helped us because we simply stated our expectations in terms of sleeve marking and cleanup and it was done. We did, however, closely monitor the crew to make sure they followed the plans. The crew is composed of artisan stone masons. They work by feel and seemed to do what looks good. If you need precision, you will need to manage them closely. They don't measure much and it's not like they are out there with an architectural ruler measuring the plans. So, I can see the frustrations of some reviewers but, you can get a beautiful, affordable driveway if you are willing to be involved. Write out every detail in the contract or an addendum. Insist on any change order to be in writing and you will be fine. Also, we did their one year free financing. Easy. No catches. I recommend this company. read more

I just signed off on my new driveway, redone in pavers, by Mr. Pavers, Inc. I researched (Yelp and Angies List as well as friends) and "interviewed" 4 different companies. I chose Mr. Pavers and I am SO glad that I did. My initial meeting was with Grahame Lawrence who is a very personable, non-pressuring salesman (he probably could sell ice to an eskimo!) Originally I was going to have to coordinate the paving job with a sewer reconstruction (since the sewer runs directly down the middle of our driveway.) Grahame tried very hard to help me with this coordination but the sewer person didn't do his part, so we decided just to do the paver work. The price was right in the middle of all of the companies I interviewed; I really liked Mr. Lawrence as well as the owner of the company, Glayston Soares. They started the job on time and finished the job on time. The crews (there were 2 different ones) were professional and tidy and I have no complaints whatsoever. Michael was the person who came to give the quote and that went smoothly we went over the project and I was happy, I had previously got 3 quotes and Michael was able to match the quote. SO IMPRESSED. The guys showed up Every day right at 8 a.m., would take a short lunch, then worked until 5 p.m. , and in my case, most of the days was in the Scorching 90+ degree heat! They cleaned up & put all their tools away on the side yard before leaving every day. One spot I asked them to fix & they did it right away. I got 4 estimates for my job - they were right in the middle. Easy to work with. And most of all, my pavers are Gorgeous. I LOVE THEM!!! read more
