    Brisket, pulled pork, corn muffin.
    Mark O.

About as good as you're going to get in Shakopee. I ordered a plated dinner, which included the following: Two meat choices, two side dishes, and a corn muffin. I selected the brisket and pulled pork for my meats and hand-cut fries and coleslaw for my side dishes. They also have a large variety of BBQ sauces from across the country for your meat--a taste for everyone. The hand-cut fries were absolutely delicious. Perfect balance of texture and seasoning. The coleslaw comes in long shreds. Taste was decent, but I'm partial to KFC-style slaw. You are served a very generous portion of both. The brisket was fork tender and paired well with the spicy BBQ sauce. The sauce left a nice burn. Great amount of smoke taste. The pulled pork had some larger chunks left over. This paired well with the Carolina style sauce. My server was great and checked in regularly; he also made sure I had enough iced tea to get me through my meal. They also serve you a large bottle of water. I love when places do that. Two minor suggestions for improvement: Have all the sauces available at the table and whip the honey butter. It is served rather cold and therefore hard to spread.

Stopped in after running some errands with my dad. I'm a KCBS certified BBQ judge, so I'm pretty picky when it comes to smoked meats. IT was the middle of the afternoon so we were the only ones there. WE ordered some tea and a sampler platter. First, our server was so nice. Super well informed about the menu, gave us a sampling of all the sauces, checked in to make sure we were enjoying everything. Then there was the meats. Every single one of them was good. Smoked wings, brisket (not too fatty) pulled pork (not too mushy). Everything had great texture and smoke flavor. Felt 100% safe with social distancing, sanitizing, etc. Really recommend this place, whether its eat in or take out.

The Pile Sandwich. Amazing flavor explosion!

The best BBQ in town! I've known of Mr. Pig as they are a great customer of mine. Never tried their food until tonight. I saw their promo a few days ago on Twin Cities Live and was impressed with their presentation of their "pile sandwich." Couldn't stop thinking about it for days. I've seen pulled pork sandwiches with slaw, but Mac and cheese and beef brisket? Made a stop with the family for dinner. Ordered the pile sandwich and was not disappointed. It lived up to the expectation! Savory sweet and spicy, Smokey, Gooey, and crunchy, all in one bite. Seems too good to be true, I thought so too! The meats were smoked, lean, and extremely tender. The fresh cut fries were delish! Already thinking when I will be back. Kip was outstanding at taking care of us and making sure we were happy.

My favorite bbq joint! I've tried the platters and sandwiches. The pile is my favorite. It's a layered yummy mess of pulled pork, brisket, Mac and cheese with slaw on top! So amazing. They also have the best fries ever. My husband loves the ribs and jalapeño slaw. You can't go wrong with whatever you order. They also have a great beer selection. The decor is cute and the service is great! The prices are awesome too, not over priced compared to some places.

My mom and I will split the pile

My mom and I were headed down to Shakopee to Mystic lake to see Willie Nelson perform. so I looked up BBQ in Shakopee on Yelp and Mr Pig Stuff showed up. Score. I read the reviews and I knew the Pile would be my sandwich of choice, but I knew it would be too large for one person and my mother was a willing partner to share it with. I ordered a Diet Coke to wash the meal down as we sat at one of the tables with good views of the TVs. The sandwich is massive with Layered with Beef Brisket, mac and cheese, Pulled Pork, and coleslaw. It was delish! Super juicy brisket and pork and the mac and cheese was good, but kind of got lost in all the juiciness of the meat. I did like the pickle slices and the addition of the coleslaw. I had to eat mine with a fork, it is just to sloppy to eat as a sandwich, but it was all good! The bun was tasty and buttered and warmed to perfection, gotta love a good kaiser roll! I would definitely go back, It was pretty reasonable as far as price was too. They didn't have good draft beer which kind of sucked. Willie played awesome too!

Holy Cow, can we give a place 10 stars? Because if so, Mr. Pig Stuff gets every single one. Food and service are outstanding. If you are craving smoky delicious BBQ, then this is the place you want to travel to. I used to live in St. Paul and I would gladly drive all the way from the Eastside to here because it is that good (now I live closer but it doesn't matter, I'm going anyways). The portions are huge, the price is amazing when you compare it to what you get (seriously we got two lunches and dinner out of our two entrees), and the service is genuine and you can see the pride they have in their restaurant. I hired Mr. Pigstuff in June for a catering gig and they were phenomenal. Not just whimsy picnic catering, we are talking whole hog roasting bonanza. I still have people come up to me and tell me how good the food was. So we decided to stop by and see if their restaurant can compete with their catering, and YES it can. I ordered their famous "Pile," a sandwich consisting of sweet bread, pulled pork, brisket, housemade Mac and Cheese topped with coleslaw and Kentucky Bourbon BBQ. If you just basically had a food orgasm, I wouldn't blame you. It is as good as it sounds. Yes, it is loaded with calories, but all BBQ is baby! My wife ordered the 2 meat plate and we basically got a meal that served the both of us. She got the pulled pork (seriously it is out-of-this-world good) and their meat hash: Slop Bucket (a mixture of brisket, sausage, pork, and BBQ sauce). We also tried their Mac and Cheese, Au Gratin Potatoes, and the cornbread. The meat was hands down delicious, all of it was great. Mac and Cheese was creamy and cheesy, exactly how it should be. The Au Gratin was very interesting but was very good. It had powerful garlic and pepper flavors with a consistency of Au Grating and mashed potatoes. And of course, it was covered in cheese! The corn bread muffins are great, right on par with Famous Dave's famous corn bread muffins (but at least Mr. Pigstuff didn't sell out so that their food could become utter crap). With such good luck, we tried some of their ribs just for fun. Fall off the bone tender and delicious. My wife never really likes ribs, but she fought me for the rack because they were that good. Even my baby daughter who isn't a fan of meat right now wouldn't stop eating them. To confirm my good review, we sat next to a table from Colorado who were vacationing in the Shakopee area. They told the manager that they were up for a few weeks and that this was the 2nd time they had been to the place because they loved it that much. The hinted they might come back for a 3rd time before they left. Seriously, it is worth the drive because you won't find better BBQ in the metro area (maybe even the state??)

Pretty mediocre BBQ. Been there once and haven't returned. Feel free to try them, if they open during any regular hours.

I imagine it would be really nice in the spring/summer as there is a horse track right outside of the restaurant which would provide a great view to a race. It definitely got a little loud just sitting inside They had a large variety of options to choose from on the menu. They also offered a great and surprisingly extensive Happy Hour Menu which we got there in time to take advantage of.  We got the burger and thought it was very tasty, we love a good caramelized onion. I thought it definitely needed some ketchup to balance out the heaviness of the onions and cheese with a little bright acidity. I also thought the patties themselves were very good, thin with a slight crisp to them with a soft bun and melty sauces and cheese. Since it was a happy hour option the burger did not come with any sides like it would have as an entrée. We also got fish tacos and we were a big fan of the slaw and pineapple mayo which brought a balance of sweet and savory to the dish. Only came with two tacos (at least for happy hour) which might not be enough food if you're hungry. The hot smoked salmon was one of the more unique items we tried. The salmon itself was super tasty - salty and smoky just what you want. They use the smaller scraps of salmon that wouldn't work in their Wood-Fired King Salmon entrée and incorporate it into this appetizer which is great sustainability-wise! The salmon came with a creamy ricotta, salty capers, crunchy crostini, and sweet and acidic pickled red onions. We liked this combination a lot but felt it could have used even more sweetness/acidity, maybe just adding a couple more onions to the dish. We really enjoyed the 'Garganelli' pasta dish. It was creamy and indulgent with pieces of lobster and freshly shaved parmesan on top. The chili added a really nice layer of heat but wasn't overpowering. The server was nice enough to split up everything we had over the evening to share (which explains the two small portions in the photo). MN Mule - 8/10 Pretty average but solid mule. However, it was served in a plastic spam cup which elevated the whole experience. Margarita - 9/10 Very good margarita - we were told it was a house made margarita not from a mix. Very bright and fresh flavors that definitely let the tequila shine. Overall would definitely recommend!

The birria beef was flavorful, but there was a little too much avocado crema for my taste, and the consommé didn't have much flavor, which was disappointing since that's usually one of the best parts of a birria dish. My mother-in-law ordered a rice bowl and said it was huge but had way too much rice compared to everything else. My partner had the Alfredo, and that was probably the favorite at our table. It was creamy, tasted great, and I liked that they used cavatappi pasta instead of the usual fettuccine. We skipped appetizers and dessert this time. Overall, the food was decent but didn't really wow me. I'd give it about 3 out of 5 stars. The Alfredo was a pleasant surprise, but the loud atmosphere and a few misses with the food would make me think twice before coming back during a busy event.

The staff here was very friendly as well as the guests and the food. Food prices were pretty fair the drink prices were a little Sky High for what they were. Wait times were not bad at all and I do love the amount of interaction that is involved with the store with all the games that are also featured here too. My one big gripe about this place is that the games itself are overly expensive and I understand that they give you "bonus credits" for what you spend when you initially get your card. I only put $10 in but I only played a few games since that's all that I could afford. Mainly I just enjoy playing all the pinball games which I was sucker for. It's got a great sports bar atmosphere but expect to possibly spend about $80-$100 if you're coming here with friends . It's a fun time but it's enough to break the wallet a bit
