Pretty solid as far as sub shops go. My friends and I recently did a cross-analysis of the difference between a hoagie and a sub (We like to use our free time wisely :) and we concluded that there is a significant difference between the two; that difference being with how the bread is cut. Subs are sawed in half like a sandwich and the contents of the sandwich are placed between the two halves of the bread. A hoagie on the other hand is sliced once, not all the way through, and has the dough removed as to make room for the contents of the sandwich. So now that we have that out of the way, we can appreciate Mr. Subs for what it is, which is a good sub sandwich! We came here and ordered 6 sandwiches, all with many different condiments, ingredients, etc. They were extremely patient with us and promptly delivered our food to us in no time at all to take away for my hungry family waiting back at my apartment. Everything was fresh, tasty, and filling. Prices weren't too bad neither. I learned from their menu that there are 4 Mr. Subs locations so the sandwich man must be doing well for himself. No wow factor for me. Late afternoon. Kid behind counter packing pickles. Dont know if his name is Peter because he never spoke to me. Saw the special on the board and ordered it. No fountain. Big variety of bottled beverages. Italian cheesesteak was very overcooked and dry and there were no condiments in the take out bag. A few napkins. The roll was excellent. Not a crusty roll. Very soft mushy roll so the cheesesteak quickly bonded together. a whole Italian cheeseteak quite large and a bottle of Coke just under $13. There are a lot of choices in that little area for casual food. I wouldnt go out of my way to go back because I love a hot sub and they dont have much. read more

Not worth the money and the overall sub was just mediocre. Subway, Jersey Mike's or jimmy Johns has much more options and plentiful toppings. read more

We get food here twice a week. We moved to the area in 2010 and have been Mr. Subs addicts ever since. The bread is always fresh, the sandwiches are to die for! The meat is fresh, always delish. I would also like to stress the fact that the staff is super friendly; they ALWAYS make you feel welcomed. When I first moved here from out of the area, I was lucky enough to even become friends with many of the staff members because they were always so nice to me. They make an effort to get to know their customers and really care. The staff works extremely hard and do such a good job. I Can't say enough about how great Mr. Subs is. Poor customer service. They use Boars Head Cold Cuts and really good soft bread so 95% of the time the sandwiches are amazing. The hot food always pleases for the most part too. Sometimes, the person dressing your sandwich won't give you what you ask for or add things you don't want, so it's best to watch them while they make your sandwich. Some employees get mad about that but if i'm spending my money, it's how I want it made. For the most part the employees are hard working, friendly and try to accommodate you as best they can but there are a few employees that shouldn't be there. Attitudes and poor customer service deter me from going in or walking out when I see them working there. There is an older gray haired guy whose always mad and a young dark haired guy who is a manager that always has a nasty face and attitude. But the location is convenient to my home and work and those other employees make it worth your while. read more

This was my first time trying and it'll be my last. I came in 15 minutes before they closed and looked like an idiot trying to get into the door. Apparently they locked one of their doors and as this was my first time at this place I didn't realize there was an alternate entrance. So as I (finally) got their attention they pointed to the other door where I should go in (maybe they should put up a sign ). As I approached the counter and ordered I felt rushed. I kept feeling like I wasn't fast enough. I wanted mustard on one order and felt like it was an inconvenience. "Brown, yellow, what kind?". I asked if they had hot cherry peppers, again another inconvenience. "Bannana pepper, jalapeno, green pepper , which one?" This was a perfect example of it's not what you say but HOW you say it. I ordered 22 platters for Black Friday to feed all the associates who were working Friday. It was a long day for the Home Depot associates in Bridgewater. 8 platters arrived before 10am. Another 5 for 1pm and the rest at 4. Kudos to Mr. Subs crew for making this possible! The sandwiches were delicious and there was a mixed variety. They brought all the condiments and chopped onions. I have ordered twice thru Uber eats and my order was accepted each time. I followed the progression of my order all the way to the delivery person picking up my order for delivery at the designated time only to find out that my order then got cancelled. Twice this was a horrible experience for me and even though my husband loves the angry bird sandwich I am very afraid to order from this establishment again. When your order is accepted and you can follow the progression of the order and then find out about 5 minutes before your order is expected that it has been cancelled is very stressful because then you have to re-order and then possibly wait another 45 minutes for your delivery. I've been coming here for YEARS, and they HAD an amazing staff. - now the staff is rude and nasty to the customers. I came in an hour and half before closing they refused to let me sit and eat there because they already cleaned and told me i couldn't stay. I used to order from here all the time . The sandwiches were good there was plenty of meat and lettuce on them but today was the 3rd time we've gotten terrible sandwiches there was hardly any meat barely any cheese and a tiny bit of lettuce on the sandwich. Ordered a chicken cutlet sandwich for pickup and got there ten minutes later, but there wasn't any wait, so that was nice. What wasn't nice was that the sandwich was already cold. The chicken cutlet itself wasn't fantastic and they were kinda skimpy with the lettuce and tomatoes. As I was doing the long, mindless drive back from the wastelands of Raritan, NJ, I found myself on Rt 22 instead of the usual 78 commute. Well, seeing the sign for this place I figured with a name like Mr. Subs, and a look like it just got hit with an atomic bomb, this place was either going to be fantastic or I had just made a terrible mistake stopping in here. Well, happy to say this place makes a good sub. Like many places similar to this, only order a whole sub if you're training to take on Kobeyashi at Coney Island. A half sub is plenty. The menu's cheap and the meats are fresh. Cash only, but they've got an ATM. They don't really have specialty subs but that's cool. I went with a turkey and jalapeno cheddar sub and it was tasty. All in all a great, quick, and easy place to grab some quality food for a somewhat decent price. The establishment itself was very well organized and clean. The food I would say was a little above average. I got the whole cheese steak, pretty basic but you can't beat a classic. I'll be back but to the guy who compared these steaks to PHILLY cheesesteaks should be ashamed of himself. Ordered a sub platter for an event I'm doing with a broker owner in Rahway. I walked in at 3pm put the order in and picked it up 10am the next morning. Normally I'm not a last minute person but this event completely slipped my mind. After being told 48hrs at A&P and Shop Rite I went to Mr Subs. 1-2-3 ordered and out. I decided to check this place out on a whim because I had just moved to the area. I was greeted by the owner who was extremely nice. It seems like the menu is quite varied (breakfast items, burgers, cold or hot sandwiches, gyros, etc.). I got the steak sandwich which was delicious, I enjoyed the ratio of meat to veggies. The portion wasn't huge, just enough to fill me up (which I prefer tbh). I also got a side of fries and they were fresh. I will definitely be back to try more. read more
